Nice place for couples and friends. Nice music and live music. Food is good but less quantity and on rye pricey end. Seating is not very comfortable. Staff is courteous.

We visited "Shanghai Salsa" in the eve and the interior was quite nice which added a good ambience to the place. Though it's a small bar cum cafe, it was quite cozy inside and we had a good time altogether. They also organise live gigs , karaoke sessions etc, so if you are interested, you can enquire about it before you go. We ordered the roasted chili garlic basil pork which went quite well with the lager tower that we ordered. Would love to visit again and try their other delicacies.
Ambience is awesome... Cajun prawn and bhoot julokia chicken wings are so good... Live music sessions are just beyond sensational..

Had these super spicy chicken wings with bhoot jolokia sauce. Literally cried after taking a bite of this😭 couldn't resist to eat it cause it was yummy at the same time. The burger was good too. Ambiance is perfect. 😍 I'm in love with this place. It is the best place for spending the evening with friends or someone special.
The menu’s been upgraded! And it’s better than before👍. The staff is responsive and must take their advice on dishes to order. Great for a casual evening with good friends. Great music, live or otherwise. Great any day of the week 👍👍
Good place to go for food and alcohol

And the Bacon wrapped Chicken & Pineapple are chicken and pineapple wrapped with bacon,panco fried and served with Vietnamese spicy dip.
Both of these dishes are among the best starters you can choose from the menu.
We loved them and with no doubt you would love them too!
Great place to hangout with friends. Drinks are good and friendly bartenders. Good to sit over the bar counter as well.

I have been here more then 10 times and i really like this place. Its just that it used to be better with the better food quality and quantity. The fries used to be cheesier and generous quantity. But it is not anymore. The Chilli garlic basil pork used to be more yummy. I think there is a different chef now. Shanghai is not what it used to be.
P.S- I gave 5 star when i visited first. But it's not the same anymore so I edited my review.
Update: I can see they have changed their menu including many more items and even the quantity has inceases again so 4 stars again. Even the taste has improved again.
If you love spicy food then you should definately try el diablo chicken wings. The pork bbq was okay-ish but the asian bowl was heavenly. Overall it was a good experience. The ambience went perfect w the music they played that day
Easily my favourite place to catch a drink or two in guwahati. Very cozy interiors with the occasional live karaoke sessions making it more memorable each time. Drinks are priced at very affordable rates. Food can be better.
P.S. The waiters makes it more welcoming. 😊
This is one of my favourite place in Guwahati to chill with friends. The food out there is so tasty and not too expensive. On a scale of 1-10 I’ll give 10 to this place .

A wonderful cozy place, serves great food and music! Pork is clean and responsibly sourced. The serving staff is polite and helpful and is ably led by the Captain. The restaurant has a smoking room too. The menu is thoughtfully put together and portions are adequate. The restaurant does not use MSG/ Ajino Moto. Evenly priced and affordable. Overall, a great experience
I had heard about this place from my friends. I went to have beer tower with my friends but unfortunately they said nowadays towers are not available so we settled for pitchers. It was a nice cozy place. Nice place to hangout with small group. The food was also nice but i was disappointed at the quantity. The quantity was very less. Otherwise its a nice place.
My go to place in Guwahati for the drinks, the food, and the ambience! I’d recommend the Gineer (a cocktail made with gin and beer, kaffir lime leaves and lemon - super summery). Very busy on weekends, so you’d want to go in early if you want to enjoy the live music.
Found this place while searching for new places to eat in Guwahati and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The decor is so unusual and refreshing. I've never had Mexican food before and wanted to try it. I ordered Cajun Platter and Quesadilla and found them to be quite good. Food here is expensive but most people come here for drinks and that is moderately priced. Overall had a good time here. Would visit again when i'll feel like trying something new and getting drunk with friends.
This was the first Restro bar I visited since I came in Guwahati. Nice ambiance and good music. The drinks are in budget plus which is good for weekends meet with your friends or chilling. The food quality can be improvised though as it really doesn't match the rates I paid. And also takes longer than expected to get it served. For drinks and light snacks it's a good place.
The best place to dine and drink in Guwahati. Right from service to food quality, it's top notch ! Jayanta Da rightfully is the best bartender in the town.
The ambience , is one to die for !! , Easily reminds me of those easy and cozy bars in London !!

The ambience is happening and all lively. The music collection is great. But the food quality isn't upto the expectation and took a lifetime to get served. Staffs needs to be abit more professional for the place is really happening and people who happens to be not aquainted with the native language of assam finds it hard to converse with the staffs since they (the staffs) are not multilingual speakers.
Live music, dark ambiance , awesome food! What more do u need for a friend's get together or a romantic date? Just love all the things about Shanghai Salsa. I have been there for more than 4 times n it's awesome. Staff is very responsive n the food is just too good.
Nice place. Ambience is good. Nice country music playing in the background. The cocktail rates are moderate and affordable. Recommend the barbeque pork ribs. Yummy yumm 😋😋 Would like a little more variety of beers though.

A very nice mexican classy ambiance of you are looking for spending some quality time with a group of friends or colleagues. They have special performing artists playing for you while you have your food which generally starts by 7:30 and lights up the whole place. We ordered for a Simba tower for drinks. For food we ordered for butter garlic prawn and a pork item whose name I don't remember. The food tasted good while I wish the quantity would be more. Overall a very good ambiance and experience.
My entire rating goes to the fact of their homely ambience and the location (the fact that its not situated in gs road atleast). Undoubtedly I personally dont have a good experience interms of the food/snacks I have ordered in this place, ( its way below basic, and sometimes they even serve stinky chicken and dont even change it despite complaining) but then the ambience balances it out for me . If you are looking for a cool silent place that makes you feel that you are sipping beer sitting in your private dinning area on a sunday afternoon; this is your go to place. Undoubtedly the fact of being located away from the mainland crowd keeps it free from the hussle and bustle of the crowded metro life , hence perfect escape gateway for a short period. Plus it gives you free chakkna for your drink .
We had ordered some beer(simba) and we ordered drunken master as starter which was very spicy. In the main course we ordered chilli garlic noodles and oyster chicken. Very good ambience but if all the tables are filled ,it becomes a bit crowded. Very polite staff but i think they need more waiters ,we only two of them working,serving table to table.
I ain't much of a fan of their food. Their chicken items sucks! Their burger is good. It's actually a place to drink and "drink only". But if you're looking for a good place to eat, I won't recommend this place. The Ambiance is quite chill to hangout though. There's a smoking room too.

Nice place to party out with friends, check out their Thursday night and Sunday night specials. Nice ambiance all time, bar has limited amount of beer during peak hours, so don't be disappointed if you don't get your choice. Food quality is also good and menu is more towards pocket friendly. Parking for this place is limited.
Well, I went there for a date with my boyfriend. The ambience during evening was beautiful. I love it. It was very romantic and the constant music made our moods lighten up. The food was good. But all I can say that it's abit expensive. Overall we enjoyed and had a great time.

It has got an unique ambience with nice vibes. The interiors take you to some Hawaiian zone. The dishes are something to work on. However drinks are exceptionally good.

Good place to spend some time with quality food. Although limited drinking options but out of the available choices, it is overall a decent place to have a drink and enjoy your meal. I would recommend to visit. Bonus points for food and the taste.

It's an absolute bliss after having my favourite dish of their house special I.e Nasi Goreng , it was delicious enough for 2 person , I also ordered Tacos which was fine . Rest the ambience and services are good
This is a mini bar kinda good. You would love to be here. The service is quite well. The foods served are also tasty. But the only negative point here is that you have to wait outside for the table. As it is a mini bar the spaces are limited and as many people love to be there the table gets full. The only thing is that if you surely want to go in this bar, do a booking done with before an hour. Overall I have loved and liked this place.
We were together 7 person and the amount of the foods and drinks we had was around 6k.
