A very beautiful, small and cosy place to hangout. They play good music as well. I am quite impressed by their food and the service. I ordered CHICKEN SATAY and a cappuccino. 5/5 for the chicken satay.
One of the best satay dishes i have eaten so far . The chicken was soft, juicy and flavorful served with salad and fries. It complemented the dish quite well.

The Bean Journal serves the best Lasagna I have ever tasted. A little expensive place but great ambiance and a perfect place to hangout.
One of the coolest cafes in the area. We tried their sizzlers which was one of the best we've ever had in Assam. The Lasagne was satisfactory. The pastas were less in quantity compared to the price. Overall a good place to have a good time with friends/family.

I decided to check in on rainy Sunday over here with my friend and Dan was satisfied 😊 with the kind of food and service they provided.. So coming to what I ordered here was, mozzarella cheese sticks, juicy chicken meatballs, chocolate bowl, and kiwi 🥤 smoothie . I have provided the pics also. The cheese sticks were very tasty and very much cheesy and I loved them. The meat balls were not that much tasty but still better to make up your mood. Now the kiwi smoothie was not liked by me as it tasted like some syrup. The best part which everyone must must try was the chocolate bowl with a little hot chocolate. It was an ice cream with hard dark chocolate in it along with some liquid hot dark chocolate and I simply loved it's taste. So do hop in there and try these things.. Lovely ambience and good service. Decided to go for Italian and ordered a pasta, and some garlic bread. Fantastic presentation and equally good food. Only issue was a large number of mosquitoes inside, apart from this it was a great experience. will definetly go back.

Though it's a small place yet it has a very beautiful charming ambience. Coming to food it really satisfied me, specially the tendor lemon chicken and also the grilled satay. Regarding the service I pesonally think they should increase the employee for a better and quick response to the coatumers.🤗
The French fries loaded with mayo cheese sauce, is a must try. Their coffee both hot and cold, is very good. Tried the strawberry smoothie and veg stroganoff, which was very tasty. Pizza was good, though the crust could be crispier.

I visited this restaurant during the days when it began but always forget to pen down my review for this pretty place. The location of the cafe is just really perfect. Just by the roadside this cosy cafe provides the best food in the area. The cafe is so well organised and lit up that it gives you a positive vibe to your soul. Totally neat and tidy with a modern touch, this cafe would definitely touch your heart. You may have tasted a lot of shakes all around. But very few places offer shakes like they present. They are really thick and delicious. On your arrival to the place you will not be allowed to waste your time to wait for the menu to show up. The prices are pretty decent and not on the cheaper side. The behaviour of the staff was really warm and cordial. All the items that we ordered were awesome and of different level, look and taste. Do give this place a visit and i am definitely planning to visit the place soon again. The review is definitely short but yes i want you all to just have a glimpse of the place. You will definitely not be disappointed.

Small nicely-done café by the street. They have a smoking zone but no separate parking. The menu design was amusing as they stuck to the name of the place and designed the menu in the shape of a journal. The staff was helpful and active. The food was good, whatever we had tried. Most of the items are assortments/platters which is quite favourable for customers, although many items we asked for weren't available. Hope to visit the place again someday.
This place looks really pretty. The interiors are great and the colours are bright and chic.
The price is a tiny bit on the higher side but I really loved the taste.
Ordered chicken lasagna, fried chicken dimsums and latte.
The lasagna had a good amount of cheese and the chicken and everything was really well balanced.
The dimsums were really really good. They were definitely one the best ones I have ever tasted. And I loved the sweet and spicy sauce along with them.
Would definitely like to pay a visit again and try more items from their menu.

The food is great, less oil, perfect taste. I ordered a vegetable crouquette, mocha brownie and one chicken dish, none of which failed to impress my taste centre. I was so glad to finally find one cafe with great veg cuisine. The service was absolutely on time and I might say, before that. Very appealing interiors. Very polite service. First of all the ambience is great. .loved the way menu is being presented, in a "journal" manner, mentioning details of each dish. .adequate pricing. .so, a must a visit cafe cum restaurant. .
Nice place to hang out with friends and family. The food served is fresh with a good taste of food. But the quantity of the food is little less compared to the price I suppose. Thats the only demerit I found. Othsrwise the cafe is very impressive, alongwith good interiors and everything.

Ordered Mediterranean burger,chicken steak and machiatto. Burger was okayish,steak was small in portion with the garlic breads smaller than rusk biscuits and the machiatto coffee which was supposed to be flavoured with chocolate had more of a flavour of bournvita. Decent anyways. Average overall or maybe i was expecting more.

Well, 5 stars to this place for its tasty Food. The environment is quite nice. And the food as I said its way too good. The price of few many items are quite affordable. For its taste, it's justified.The cheese sticks (I forgot the actual name) is way too cheesy and tasty and quick affordable snack. I love it! The price of the pasta, I believe could have been little less. As the other items are quite affordable and good. So the price of the pasta should also go abit down too. Overall,

A calm and beautifully decorated cafe. Ordered fruit punch, kiwi smoothie and sangria, pork steak, chicken steak, hassle back with potatoes, and Greek pizza. The quantity for chicken steak wasn't upto the mark seeing the price of the item and the hassle back with potatoes could have been better. Nevertheless, had a lovely evening with my friends.
The sizzler was one of the most disappointing dishes I've ever had anywhere lol. The grilled open burger was delicious. The creamy mocha brownie, though overpriced, is worth a try because it looks and tastes good.

Quite a few cafes have popped around my home, so trying them one by one. Its located from a walking distance so dropped in a rainy evening to catch up with an old friend. Sitting area is divided by a glass wall into two zones which makes it easy to choose where to sit if the talks get loud with a group. We sat for nearly 2.5hrs as the interior ambience was very assistive in having a nice conversation.
We ordered cappuccinos, lemon teas, fries & tried out the corn dishes. The servers were attentive & service is pretty quick. The quality & taste of the food and beverages were quite good. Its not an extraordinary nor a let down experience and that is where it actually shines. We had a great time chatting, eating, drinking and catching up without any noticeable shortcomings. Its one thing to do a few things in the best way possible while failing in other parts & quite another to be just good in all the areas, which this cafe is. Its definitely on my repeat visit list.

I'm in love with this place. The food is amazing. One of ""the best" cafe in the city. Ordered lasagna, Lebanese lamb sizzler, choco frappe, fries, the bean journal special dessert, maryland chicken and brownie. The food was up to the mark and I had a great feast. Worth recommending it to others. Believe me or not!
The Bean Journal has bèen a new found for me and has never dissapointed ever since. Been there a few times and now i feel i can be judgemental. The best about this place is good food and excellent service. The Chicken Maryland together with the smooties are must try. Cheers to the management for the urban rustic decor and for cleanliness.
A great place to have coffee and true mediterranean food. Also great to find a wonderful setting with pine wood which gives the feeling of some place in shillong. Service is also good.. A placr to spend time with both friends and family.. A must try for people who have not been there till now. We had pork ribs and chicken pasta.

Well, I have been here twice and I think it is recommendable to anyone heading out for a good meal and some good time.
The interiors are posh and well-maintained- that's the first when they blow your mind. Thumbs up to you guys.
Food- I haven't tried the oriental dishes as of yet but the Mediterranean menu promises a lot and delivers too. We had Lasagna- a bit mild on taste but good, and The TBJ special Pizza- this was nice and colorful too! As for the drinks, the Fresh Lime Soda wasn't quite upto the mark but the Cold Joe was awesome. For desserts, we tried The Cookie Shot and The Chocolate Bowl- both equally delightful and should be tried.
Service- Well, it was quick and amiable, so there is little regret here.

Located diagonally opposite to the Ugratara Mandir, this place came up sometime back and is a hit with the masses. With a perfect cosy ambience, calm and peaceful vibe, the place is perfect for spending some quality time. You can indulge in conversations while sipping on coffee or have your pick from the varied menu. The ambience and decor is beautiful - astutely done seating arrangements, both indoor and outdoor completes the setting. Go for it, if you want to indulge in serenity.
Food was lovely and so was the ambience.The staff needs proper training to attend tables though.they were couteous but was disappointed coz had to keep asking for water....Either they have a shortage of drinking water there or glasses arnt available ..either way ..that was d only thing which needs to be looked after..

One of the best place for hangout with friends. Certainly a great ambience. Also a separate smoking area is there. We trieded grilled chicken burger and the Kung Pao chicken there which was okay. The only reason I'm deducting 1 star is because of the taste of the food. Otherwise everything thing else is perfect 🍷

A very cozy place to be , staffs and services are good as well.about food, we ordered a pork Steak, lasagna, khao pad we also ordered two drinks one is pina colada and another one was blue lagoon... The pork was very chewy and hard the price is okay comparing with the quality and quantity of the food.

The food is great, so is the ambience. It may be a little overpriced but the taste it delivers makes it worth every penny spent. The only thing I found a little weird was that they were charging extra for packing which is barely found elsewhere.
This place is so beautiful. It's got some really eye pleasing decorations .. Coming to the food we ordered stuffed pork balls , grilled chicken open burger , chicken mayo sandwich . All of them were delicious . The burger and sandwich is served along with fries and salad . Didn't like the salad though. Burger is sufficient for one person .

I went to this place after some recommendation by a friend. It's a nice choice for relaxing and chilling out. The 'Pad krapow moo saap' is a quite pleasant Thai dish. But the chopsuey wasn't crispy enough and felt more like some gravy noodles. Though the price is little high but the quantity served makes up for it.
Had a wonderful time this evening at the Bean Journal. It's a cozy place, not too big, with a great ambience.
I ordered the Thai Seafood Sizzler and fried ice cream for dessert. The sizzler was one of the best I have ever had! The squid and prawns were delightful! And the fish was so succulent and delicious. I also really loved the veggies and especially the mushrooms. Overall, it was a meal packed with flavor.
However, I found the fried ice cream to be very underwhelming. Portion size was too less and taste was honestly really mediocre. It was just a round fried batter with liquid ice cream inside. It tasted soggy and bland. It wasn't worth spending 225 rupees on.
Other than that, everything else was great. The service was good. They also had live music which made my evening even more magical. Seriously, I am really glad I was in time for the live performance.
I would definitely visit the Bean Journal again in the future.

In my recent visit, I ordered: Baked Fish, Chicken Parmesan & Fresh lime soda.
I simply love the dishes here.. The fish was so soft and perfectly cooked..
Chicken Parmesan was also amazing. The chicken was soft and juicy, and the flavor of the sauce was also great..
Overall, it's a highly recommended place..

Great food. Great ambience. I tried the Marinara pizza and my friend tried the hakka noodles. Thoroughly enjoyed. I'm not the greatest fan of pizzas in general but this one was REALLY good. And the cafe is beautiful. The only problem I have is the chairs (some of them). They're a little uncomfortable and a little too tall. Hope the cafe owners take that into account. Otherwise, the overall experience was good. Clean and hygienic.

I happened to experience this cozy cafe mainly due to sudden onset of rain in my evening ride back to home.
The design of the cafe was also very inviting, with unique designed craft to decorate the walls and tables. The lighting were really apt by not being too bright or too dim. The sound in the cafe was also kept at the levels where you can have conversations properly. The barista also had good choice of songs being played in the background.
The caffecino and iced americano were perfectly prepared by the barista. The club sandwich was good. The roll not so much.
I would visit again to try other dish that the cafe offers. Like the lasagna and chicken dishes.

They have good portion sizes at prices that won’t burn a hole through your pocket and the best part is everything tasted fresh and fantastic.

I have been visiting the place regularly. The place has a visually appealing surrounding and the atmosphere their is soothing. Somewhere you can have a good time with friends and family.
My personal favourite is the mozzarella cheese sticks, a must have snack along with cup of coffee with an extra shot of espresso.

We got a latte coffee and butterscotch shake kinda thing. Both were decent. The atmosphere is really great with a nice location. Have 2-3 parks nearby, river side also nearby for a walk after coffee overall great experience.
The food is delicious but the service is extremely slow. we waited for more than an hour for the food to arrive, even though there were only two other guests apart from us. The variety of drinks should be innovated in line with the varied food options they provide. Finding the right drink with each dish is a little difficult now.
