Ice cream was nice. Packing was not that good. Improve packing for homedelivery orders. Overall it's value for money deal. Sugar free items also available.
Nice place to enjoy Natural Ice Cream :) Has seating arrangement and a quiet outlet without rush. The ambience is simple and neat. They have various fruit flavors and regular ones too π
One of the best ice cream parlour. They have varieties of flavours. And you can tell the difference between the taste of Thanco's ice cream and Amul's ice cream. But the prices are a bit high. Not always affordable for the students. This kind of ice cream is a delicious way to spend the weekends.
The ice-creams offered by Thancos are so synonymous with the taste of the fruits that they are made from that you feel you are eating the raw fruit β only this time it is cold and creamy!

It's just a regular icecream parlour with various icecreams with real fruits.
I loved the blue berry, fig, mixed dry fruit and some exotic fruit flavoured ice creams like jackfruit, atlas, coconut etc.
The icecream base could have been little more rich and creamy.

Thanco's icecreams are one of a kind. Quite milky and rich in taste. They are quite flavoursome.Visited the Christian Basti outlet too, but it is permanently closed now.
Tried 3-4 flavours. There are so many that in the first place you are confused as to which flavour be tried. I don't remember the taste of other flavours but the one flavour which was given by mistake the one and only paan flavoured. It was something like having a real paan. Expensive but it's OK to try once.
The ice creams here are too good. And they have so many different flavours to choose from... The fruit variants are the best.. Some of the most unusual flavours are there too.. And you'll be surprised by the taste.. Must try for ice cream lovers
There are way too many flavour combinations. We tried the Green chilli, Pineapple, Belgian chocolate and the Tender coconut. The Green chilli was unique by it's name itself and also by the flavour. I really liked the freshness of it but my friends didn't prefer it. It starts with a fresh green chilli flavour and there's this texture in the ice cream and it ends with the mild chilli after flavour which I found to be quite pleasant. The Belgian chocolate not much different from normal chocolate flavour. Pineapple and tender coconut had a few fruit pieces.
Definitely a must try.

This has been my most amazing experience with ice creams. The service was decent. Quality of dessert is amazing at an affordable price. Will visit next time, after Justice league. Looks like Berry Allen will join too.

Just love the place for the variety of tastes it offers and the unique item it has in its menu is something which will surely make you try it again and again. Its not just the variety but also that each of the items are so good in taste and a delight to savor. I just loved the Alphanso mango, the cocounut and the black grape. This place sure has the ability to make you try new things. A must visit for Ice Cream lovers.
The joint is small, No problem with that. But the problem is the parking of the vehicle. Nevertheless the pan ice cream, chiku ice cream, mango etc etc. They feel so natural. The litchi ice cream is the one which i like the most here along with the dates wala ice cream.
The USP of this chain is that it serves natural ice-creams - I guess no preservatives, artificial flavouring or colours.
Taste-wise, some of the ice creams are pretty awesome. My personal favourites are the pomegranate and lychee ice-creams.
The staff is enthusiastic and encourages you to try out different flavours.
Apart from ice-creams, this outlet also sells biscuits and cookies.
Prices are on the higher side and parking for cars is a challenge as it is on the main road and the entire stretch is a no-parking zone.
I visited the one in G.S. Road. Small cute little place. Coming to the flavours, you get to choose from a variety. You name it and they have it for you. Tasty some like tooty frooty, oreo, chocolate chip, Belgium chocolate (a delight) and my favourite, the black current.
In Guwahati dis is best place for having ice creams...n i m so lucky its a walkaway from my place.. dey have got varieties of ice cream... but wenever i go der i have d mango ice cream... it feels like having a real mango..must try folks!!
Great Natural ice creams and a must try! Tried samples from a few fruit flavours and it felt like eating the fruit itself! They have a wide range of flavours and price ranging from 65 to 85 rs. Β 100% veg and sugar free also available. All good but not adequate sitting space.
Located in Fancy bazaar, this ice cream parlour serves you a wide range of flavours. There are some unique flavours like pan, anjeer, apple chocolate etc. I tried their anjeer and Belgium chocolate flavours. I personally love anjeer, so I liked the ice cream too. The chocolate was average. I would definitely like to visit them again.
This ice-cream parlour has got a wide range of fresh fruit ice-creams and also ice-cream sundaes. The toppings on the ice-cream makr it more tasty.

Probably the best ice cream shop in Guwahati. They have wide range of ice cream. From fruit to dry fruit, they have it all. You don't need to look at he menu. Just make your demands and they will fulfil it. Believe me or not they had jack fruit and paan ice cream as well, now thats insane. It's a must go place for fruit lovers, and what i found interesting in the ice cream is that it had fruit pulp, that's what gives it a wow factor.
Its an expensive place as compared to the quantity they serve, but quality product thought. I would rate it 3.5

After my filling lunch in Shanghai Salsa, i hopped from one corner of Ghy to another only to witness the greatness of this icecream parlour which has been making news in Zomato, of course for good reasons.
This place had been long pending in my wishlist. Thanks to fellow Zomatians - Samrat, Rashmi, Nilankan whose reviews have triggered my eagerness to experience the flavours here. Without any further ado, i had a scoop of paan flavour and it made my taste buds feel the authentic flavour of 'meetha paan' just with the chilly twist. Yes, i was completely floored by the coversion of meetha paan flavour to an icecream scoop. Next i wanted to try the fig and honey one which was unavailable but the counter guy recommended the apricot flavour and i had the real feeling of foodgasm! It was the right blend of sweetness, the apricot chunks and the icecream! Nothing else could had been more satisfying. Although i was full, i did also try the Belgian chocolate flavour from my friend which was also a star for the chocolate flavour lovers.
All in all, thanks to Zomato for highlighting this joint and giving us a great feeling of joy.
P.S. No pics coz i was too immersed and absorbed in rejoicing the flavours. ;)
Wow ,what a place I visited today in this busy zone ,come Fancy Bazaar for some shopping you know and found a very amazing place to relax out here ,its Thanco's Natural Ice cream ,though this place is all about ice creams but have to say have maintained a very high standard for its sale ,presentation out here is ah awesome attracts your eyes and the interior its well up to standard ,luckily I was going through some reviews about the places to visit in this area and today a glad that I found one .
If you guys are big fan of ice cream should try this place once ,as today I came out very satisfied I hope you will get that same satisfaction ,this place is very good to just hangout and take some rest as you know this zone is well known for its crowded environment ,you will get realize as if you are a different place after entering Thanco's ,its amazing .
Taste is fabulous for items they sale got to try once ,I will be visiting this place soon as It provides what I need for my taste ...
Thank you 'thanco' well...I always noticed this place when I travelled by bus, the name seemed queer for an icecream parlour yet it quite intrigued me.I was always fascinated by baskin robbins ,being pretty judgemental I was sure. ..none could top that but the day I tried here I was left spell bound by the versatile array of flavours that just boggles your mind like what kind of an icecream can a chilly flavoured be! Of course I didn't have that, just to be on the safe side I ordered myself the oreo flavour..it was damn good! The guy was courteous, well behaved and kind enough to let me taste as many flavours I wanted. I think its a must go for! I will surely try out the pan flavour next time!

awesome new flavours!! I am a typical guy who spends hours nibnling a sundae at Baskin Robbins but my taste buds needed a change so Thanco's is the flavour of these season!! Difficult to park the car though during day hours

This is what i like about Zomato. Thanco's was quite close to my place yet i never knew about it until a couple of Zomatiens ( Nilankan & Rashmi ) recommended it. & now i am hooked. Mirchi, Paan, Ginger, Jackfruit & some never-before heard flavors of Ice-Cream, all of which is 100% natural. This has just become my favorite Ice-Cream parlor.
Thanco's location is very visible as it is located on the M.G. Road & is quite adjacent to the ICICI bank & the ITA complex. Though i must say that they could have chosen a more cleaner locale for the outlet as the wholesale market of Machkhowa is nearby & this makes the surrounding very dirty. Also finding a place to park your car should quite a hassle on a busy day. But i don't think these all should prove to be a hindrance to a true Ice-Cream worshipper.
I must admit here that on seeing the Ice-Cream flavors laid out on the counter, i was quite overwhelmed. Mirchi, Paan, Ginger, Jackfruit, Kala Jamun, Sitaphal, Anjeer, Chickoo, Coconut....phew !!!...( i just attached a Pic of their menu with my review as there were just too many & also because there was no menu was listed in Zomato ). But i must warn here that the staff is very enthusiastic to let you taste a sample of all of their flavors. Please dont do that, you will just get more confused as to what to order & what to leave. They are all equally awesome. After tasting a few,I finally ended up ordering a scoop each of Paan, Ginger, Sitaphal & Cafe Butter-Scotch. I am sure gonna have the others on my next visits as this is sure to become one of my regulars from now on. The Paan flavor is currently my favorite. It has all the ingredients you will get on having a actual Paan plus add natural Ice-Cream to it. Super-good.
The staff, as i said, is very enthusiastic & have good knowledge about all the flavors. They have a single round table & a few chairs which can sit atmost 15 people. I hope they increase the capacity as this place will surely be thronged in the coming festive season.
So friends, do yourself a favor. Visit Thanco's. I don't think you will be disappointed. Cheers.
P.S. - Rates range from 55 to 75 depending on flavor per scoop & around 300 for family packs. ( as it was nowhere mentioned in the site )

The first outlet in Fancy Bazaar....a super busy area but still manages to attract !! A fellow Zomatian's review made me rush to this ice-cream parlour.And its a wonderful little place to taste the most delicious and exotic flavored ice-creams !!
Paan,Mirchi,Gulkand...everything to send our taste-buds tingling !! I haven't come across such exotic flavors yet ...from Guava,Jackfruit,Sitaphal,Chickoo to Coconut....!! And all the flavors delivers the punch !!
They have the regular flavours too like Mango,Pineapple,Tutti-frutti....but i would suggest that you taste a bit of everything before deciding on your flavor.....!! The chocolate flavors like Oreo,Choco Chips,Belgian chocolate are all divine !!
I went for the Paan flavored and Jackfruit one...and my kids had the Choco chips and Oreo ice-creams !!
I felt it was quite different from the usual run-of-the-mill ice-creams !! We shared a Mango flavored one too !!
There are many other flavors ranging from Mixed fruit to Malai !!
I finished off my ice-cream saga with the best one ie...Real Bean Vanilla !! It is smooth,silky and just melts in your mouth in a second....!! Please do try the Real Bean Vanilla .....its a taste that will linger on long after it's gone !!
They should have more outlets in the city soon...fingers crossed...!!

Again first one to review this awesome ice cream parlour at the banks of River Brahmaputra. You will be addicted once you have their stuff. As their is a dearth of good ice cream outlets in Guwahati, this place will make you go crazy. From jackfruit to Sitafal and water melon to real bean vanilla. Variety of flavours to try. The scoops give you a awesome feeling of fruits and dry fruits. Dont miss out on their mirchi ice cream which is too good and their USP. Service and staffs are very gently. Place is a bit small but i m sure in the coming days, they will have many outlets in the city.
