Its an amazing place the food there is too good.
Tried the veg thali first time.. it was really great.
The best duck dry fry I ever had with reasonable price
We ordered 5 chicken thalis, a mutton thali, fish thali and pork thali. Every dish in the thali tasted sumptuous. Service was great and the quality of food was very good.
Simple interiors and ambience but great food. Enjoyed their fish thali! They have relocated from Christian Basti now to Beltola now though
Awesome pigeon curry. Could do with a little less spiciness though. Nevertheless, was satisfied beyond measure. *Sent back to childhood* vibes. Thanks a lot! 😀
Well I only had a few pork items, must say can give Raja mircha a run for their money only if they reduce their price a bit.. but anyhow very tasty pork items must taste other items.... p.s. bit overpriced and no SWIGGY discounts
Quiet place but packed with taste and flavours. Duck with gourd and duck kareng style were super fabulous. Might be one of the best duck serving places in Guwahati. Kudos to the chef and support staff. Highly recommended.
Tried their thali along with Pork Lai xaak & Chicken dry fry. They really serve a good variety of mouth watering authentic assamese food. Chicken dry fry was very tasty and the thali items were authentic & light. Looking forward to my next visit...
Service is good, food is also nice, reasonable price, ordered duck meat with veg thali, duck meat was awesome and quantity was nice. Hope to come again and taste some new traditional food
Good ambience.. Superb food quality.. I have tested again and again but never changed the taste.. Super tasty.. I will recommend this restaurant to all..
Loved the food here! (This review is for the non-Assamese among us.) Came from Delhi to Assam for a week, visited KarenG (pronouned ka-reng) for lunch my last day here. My friends and I had pork thalis, it comes for rs. 350 and is definitely worth the money. KarenG is generous with its portions, and while some of the items in the thali are an acquired taste, the bamboo chutney for example, you won't be disappointed by it. My two Assamese friends were really happy with the food and gave it a thumbs up as well. Can't wait to try out the rest of KareG's menu next time I'm in Assam, especially the pigeon meat thali! 5 stars for sure! :)
One of the best restaurant in Guwahati if I have to recommend some one. The taste is so authentic and the each item in the Thali had its own taste. The Duck item will follow the taste Buds and will remain intact till the last bite. The ambience is very sober n couple friendly. The service is excellent. I am a regular visitor of this restaurant now. The best part is the Xilikha and amla served with regular sauf in the end.
Amazing foods!! The foods were mouth-watering and the price is also reasonable..Service was very hospitable with good ambience..Highly recommend!!
The place is new and ethnic. The staff was well aware of the list of items they had and they are good at suggesting dishes because of which i took less time to order. I started with a Chicken Clear Soup which was probably one of the best clear soup i had. Then came the Thali. The thali was really big in size but i didnt like the items they served in it. Bitter gourd should be an option not an item in the list. Anyways other than that the chicken and mutton both were deliciously cooked and i was delighted by the taste and quantity they served(which was initially too little). The ambience is classic and the service was fast. The orange juice that i ordered was nothing but Minute Paid pulp orange. The coffee was not that great. At the end when the bill was shown we were also given a few Haritakis(Xilikha) along with the regular Saunf .Overall a quality restaurant with a little scope/room for improvement.
