I went there before a week.
I ordered veg fried rice and chicken ginger, it was tasty.. prices are affordable.
Being a food blogger I want to suggest people to must have chicken ginger if thy visit.

The Chicken Butter Masala I ordered from this restaurant was quite tasty .No excessive spice was added . Small children can also enjoy this dish.

Normal interior with small sitting arrangements..upper deck and lower deck available..went in for a lunch.. ordered plain rice , butter chicken and egg curry.. prices are also normal..

It exactly in Guwahati Club.
They have good food with good taste.
They also serve tandoor items.
I enjoyed the food amd also service staff are very friendly and good.
They have two floors.
Just they dont have own washroom.
Rest for lunch dinner evening snack for all its good.

Visit this place once after every 2-3 months. The food always pulls me to visit again. Sometimes the taste differs but still tasty. Ambience is good with 90s hit music. Only downside it that this place doesn't have a washroom which is unsatisfactory.

One of the old eateries in the city which have constantly managed their quality of food over the time. I preffer the near by "The Dhaba" over this place for the butter chicken and butter naan. But for the other items this place is way too better then them. Although i remember trying "Thupka" once. It was very bad. Rest the tandoor items the other items. All r good. Price is reasonable.

There is really nothing to write about the food in Dawn - one of the typical "roll-chow" places that took the culinary scene in Guwahati by storm in the 90s! (Serious pun intended). Like so many other places Dawn has lost its relevance now that a variety of new and better restaurants are opening up in Guwahati and people in the city know and demand quality cuisine.

However, the objective of this review is not to discuss Dawn's menu but share an interesting trivia. The "sauce" (ketchup) that you see in almost all fast food joints in Guwahati starting from Momo Ghar to Reboti is all made by Dawn. And that ketchup is not tomato at all but pumpkin and other ingredients :)

My friends were planning for my birthday weeks before and when the day finally came yesterday we were puzzled. We still have not decided where to celebrate it. This was because though I wanted to celebrate it in some dhaba in a high funda manner, I was low on pockets. My friends were wise enough and could easily understand this situation so they decided to look out for hotels in Zomato. Finally one of them decided to visit here because the prices were negotiable and it being also a dhaba. When asking for my confirmation I readily said yes!!! I had already visited this dhaba before and so I knew that they prepare the most delicious food items.

Well this place didn't give me the exact look of a "dhaba" when I visited this place for the first time that was about two years back. Credit goes to my mom for discovering this finest dhaba which I am gonna remember for as long as I can. We stepped there accidentally as we were returning from our shopping, were very hungry and needed to eat something immediately. So my mom proposed this dhaba to which I reluctantly agreed. As we entered there I saw the room wasn't spacious enough but luckily there were not many people so we managed to get a seat easily. My mom ordered for plain rice and mixed veg and I ordered for a Egg Hakka noodles. The maintenance wasn't good enough and it took a bit more time than I expected for the order to come. I just couldn't explain how hungry I was and was cursing the dhaba and the staff for making me suffer. Anyways our order came and I could hardly wait to eat it. Frankly I wasn't expecting the food to be much tasty but I was proved wrong. All my tiredness,fatigue, stress, anger etc just vanished when I tasted the noodles. I was now feeling sorry for my previous thoughts and was enjoying the food. I could remember I kept on praising the food to my mom all the time to which my mom replied with a smile. After that day I was always waiting for another chance for visiting this dhaba but never got one. After a few days I saw that they had renovated which made me much more impatient. So from that day onward I never judge a hotel by its name or appearance rather I judge them by their food.

Coming back to my birthday, After confirming everything we went there and was delighted to see that even today there were very few customers. Four of us easily got a seat and as we settled the waiter came to us for an order. Now I saw that not only that they have changed the look and feel of the hotel but also the uniform of the staffs. We ordered for Butter Naan
but were unlucky enough because they had just set off the fire and so tandoori items were not available. Finally after a bit discussion we ordered for a paneer pakoda as starter and Chicken Pulao as our main course. We did a little bit of chit chat and a few photo clicks when we saw that our starter was ready to be served. We couldn't wait any longer and gulped down the big pieces and were praising simultaneously. We were about to finish our starter when I was surprised to see that our order was ready even. Now I realized that not only the looks of the hotel and its staff but also several other things had changed including the maintenance. This made me feel good because they had a few drawbacks which they identified and corrected. I was already in favor of this hotel but I was waiting for my friends to say something. When asked they also praised everything I described.One of them who was on Zomato also added that he will recommend this on Zomato with a thumbs up. So finally my birthday came to an end and I was relaxed that my friends were satisfied with my treat.

I'm almost a regular visitor of this food outlet. The prices are reasonable and food is very tasty. They serve good tandoori chicken. Steamed mono is also a better option to choose from the menu. Soup with the mono is quite sumptuous. They don't charge service tax. Staff is amicable. I really enjoy the music they play because that's exactly my music list specially the western pop. It's easily visible from traffic, just by the roadside but doesn't have wheelchair accessible entrance. They also accept telephonic orders but you have to fetch your food.

Good restaurant to dine at Guwahati Club.

Good food and taste, staff includes a group of young guys who provides good service, rates are quite reasonable and affordable. The restaurant is situated near Guwahati Club, so it's much more in the Guwahati city. Overall it was a good experience.

Their butter naan is delicious, light and fluffy. Also their vegetable pulao is quite good. I'm sure they can do little better with chilli chicken.

Little less spacious.. but the taste.. i can still recall the taste of the hakka noodle and chicken roll.. one of the bests i ever tasted..

I loved their tandoori momos. You can visit to have them. Rest their menu is decent, can try.
