Its a small shack, serves good sea food.
However, prices are on high side, you get the same price or even less in other nearby restaurants.... overall good for 1 time...
It's a small shack type restaurant that has been decorated with fish species charts and funny comments on the walls.
It is located in the Havelock market just opposite to the fish market.
They are famous for their seafood and rightly so. You can choose from the fresh catch of the day showcase. Their Squid masala, red snapper fish fry and tandoor pomfret were really tasty.
The environment may not be suitable for a lot of people. Service may be a little slow as they have limited hands working there.

It’s a very local dining spot located on the side of the Main Street and is popular for their squid dishes. However, since we visited in May (2023) and during a post-cyclone week, the fresh catch of seafood was quite low everywhere on the island, especially for such local restaurants. So, they didn’t have much stock and we ended up just trying one starter of squid and leaving. The owner was a warm and friendly lady, she even inquired why we weren’t having anything else.
If you’re visiting during a good season, you should give it a try, they probably have good food when they have a stocked pantry.
Good place to try out local seafood. Most varieties are available. Prices could be a little cheaper though. Located just near the 3 number market area.

Normally all the restaurants are expensive all especially for guests, here its very affordable and very tasty as well.
The restaurant opens at 11 am only so plan your trip accordingly.
We've had crab, roti, fish fry, lobster and a fish biriyani here which was awesome 👌.
This should be a must visit place if you're visiting Havelock Island.
Squid is a good option for seafood lovers at Havelock.
I tried their squid masala with rice. The preparation had a distinct bengali touch with the gravy being similar to chital muittha (চিতল মুইঠা). It tasted pretty awesome. They have many other good seafood options to try from, especially the grilled fish in banana leaf.
As a plus they also have free Wi-Fi.
I had such an amazing experience at Squid restaurant. The owners make you feel like family.
My first visit I pre-booked a king crab to share with my friends. It was cooked fresh for us after we got to the restaurant. Indian Masala style....mouth watering spicy gravy with the sweetest crab meat. 🦀
During this visit I had mentioned to Priya, that I love squid.
My second visit - few days later I getp
a message from Priya that the restaurant had just received fresh stock of squid. So obviously 🙄 I hopped over within an hour. And boy!! What squid!! Had such a satisfying squid meal.

I have tried squid masala gravy with rice. Quantity was sufficient for one person. It was around 3.30 I went to their restaurant. Served in 20-30 mins after preparing. Overall it was good
Went here for dinner. Small place but good water. They allow to select the sea food from the stack of fresh catch of what they have. Price is budget friendly and tasty. Do try their grill fish. Also do go by the looks, I’m sure u will not be disappointed once u eat what they serve.
Place is worth to spend for your taste buds. Staff there consist of family members.

All of the food I've tried has been delicious! Some things are wonderfully inexpensive here compared to other restaurants around the island: 20 RS roti, 150 RS veg dishes, 50 RS masala chai. Good WiFi if you ask for it, cute dogs around the place, and truly wonderful staff! Ideal location too, maybe 80m from the central market

Perfect place for fresh sea food. They have very unique spices to cook food which ultimately enrich the taste of food.
Our favorite restaurant in Havelock island. Delicious prawn masala, lobster masala, thalia etc. They have a wide range of food items in the menu. The service can be a bit slow as they have only one person taking the orders. While waiting for the order to be placed, observe the happenings on the street.
Overall a very good and inexpensive restaurant.
