Crispy Chilli Baby Corn, Veg Manchurian was very tasty, Environment is also very good
The food is ok..
Neither too delicious nor too bad..
The staff is courteous and the service is good..
They also have a descent sitting arrangement..
They do have a separate private area too which can accommodate about 25 people..
So u can also do a small get together sort of thing over here..
One of the good places to eat in the area(not a place to hangout with friends though😑) the food is not the best but even so its pretty good. The service is very good though.
This is an awesome restuarant with delicious food , provides and Awesome Service and has a very good ambience . it is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I have visited

Skylark is Howrah's Pure Vegetarian Beast. It's a pride Family Restaurant serving all the Indian cuisines which are very delicious. The decor and ambience is very neat and clean. Loving place for spending family time. ❤❤
🌟In frame : Chilli Garlic Noodles.
I ordered this online from Swiggy. @swiggyindia 🔸Content :
Chilli Garlic Noodles is a famous Chinese recipe of Skylark. Made with fresh noodles, the strong flavour of chilli and garlic makes it an apt recipe for kitty parties and celebrations. This noodles recipe is prepared with the combination of garlic and red colored. This Indo-chinese recipe makes a great party dish, which is spicy in taste. I loved it. 😍 😍

This place has developed itself in terms ambience, quality and fooding.
Now this place is cozy and every family can go for dinner.
It's the best restaurant in howrah.
The fooding cost is also reasonable.
Do visit this place if you live in howrah.
The food here is very good. you can't compare it with anything. Order anything and it will be good enough.
The ambience of the place is cosy and very family oriented. Just the concern is tables are too close so there is no privacy ... So except tat, everything is perfect.
It's a great restaurant to dine with family great food experiance 5/5 but the service is a little slow i can give 9.5/10 for over all experiance and dining.

I loved the food especially the pasta. Ambience was quite good and sophisticated. Overall experience is good. Best place for those who eat veg. And also it is one of the best restaurant in howrah
Went there on a weekday for a dinner. This place is always crowded and table booking is a must if you are visiting this restaurant between 8pm-11pm. Talking about the ambience and the food,
Ambience - 3/5
Even though the place has good interiors, the seating arrangement seems a bit clumsy. Also, the place is so crowded that it fails to provide the calm ambience which is generally expected in fine dining restaurants.
Service-5/5
Yes,the service is great. Well behaved and helpful staff. Also, the wait time is not too long.
Food- 4/5
We had ordered tomato soup, manchow soup and milestone soup amongst which the tomato soup wasn't upto the mark. Also, we ordered pahadi paneer tikka which was average on taste, veg gratin was nice. Among the main course, dal makhni is palatable.
Pricing - 4/5
For a group of 5-6people, this place is completely on budget and pocket friendly.
My favorite place in Howrah. This is a very old pure vegetarian restaurant located at dobson rd, howrah AC market. When ever we go, we ordered Paneer Tikka, sam-sabera, kadhai Paneer, tandoori roti, butter nan, masala kulcha. Portion size is perfect. Price is little bit high, but after all good experience.
Good with and fast service. We ordered North Indian food and all the items( Dal makhani, paneer, garlic naan) we're really good. Looking forward to visit this place again
The best place to eat in Howrah. I have been living there for past 20 years and Everytime I want to eat out, it's the first place that comes to mind.( P.S they should not have removed zamato gold )
Skylark is Howrah’s Pure Vegetarian Beast.A good family restaurant.Old as well as Gold.Used to serve authentic South Indian beore, the Menu is totally changed to North Indian and some Chinese stuff. The place is medium sized.Quantity stands for 2 people. We had -
1) Chilli Babycorn – Fine (3/5)
2) Paneer Tikka – Fine (3/5)
3) Au Gratin – Tasty (4/5)
4) Mix Vegetable – Fine (3/5)
5) Dal Makhni – Fine (3/5)
6) Kofta – Fine (4/5)
7) Breads – Fine (3/5)
8) Fried Rice – Normal (3/5)
9) Papad – Good (4/5)
10) Tutty Fruity Ice-cream – Vanilla Ice Cream in the name of Tutty Fruit.Average (3/5)
Service was very good and would rate 5/5.
So being in the Food industry for more than decades I believe this restaurant runs by it's Goodwill. Howrah has Skylark a pride since years. I've been visiting this restaurant with family since when I was 2 year old. my personal favorite here is Hot Soup with butter and all the Indian cuisines which are really delicious. the Decor and ambience is neat and clean as mostly the jains and marwaris live in Dobson lane area so serving Veg food is the best option. therefore the taste is really good special the paneer and Dal makhni are superb. but one thing I just feel it's a little pinch to the pocket otherwise everything is good.
cheers !!
Superb food and newly renovated ambience. The must visit location for all vegetarians. Each and every item we ordered were delicious. Naan was super soft.
Superb food with amazing starters. The new skylark is still maintaining its age old taste with, ofcourse, new dishes to try. I give 💯 to skylark for its excellent food with excellent service. To my family.... Sunday means.... Skylark day.
Keep it up👍
Interiors at its best quality of food is superb ...
The staff is also friendly... it aperfect family place to come and spend a splendid evening
when this place on a cousin birthday
good food,
very late service
but you will love the ambience
one should try this for sure
but on sundays you will have to wait a lot for your turn..
Best place...
With family or friends...
Food is fresh and good service is perfect...
The staff is around you for anything you want...
Would surely visit again...
Pure vegetarian restaurant all the dishes are good in taste. North Indian dishes too are good specially the masala dosas. Prices are bit high but quality of the food worth it. Mostly crowded during weekends with family.
One of the best place to dine-in with family/ friends in Howrah. The staffs are so good. And ofcourse one of the good place to have chole- batura
Skylark located in Howrah AC Market, is a lovely and very impressive place to dine in. The ambiance is pretty comforting and vibrant, sending out positive vibes once you land your foot here. It’s a perfect place for family dining. Seating capacity is quite large and can be a great place for parties and get together with friends. We Recently had the opportunity to be a part of their food tasting session where I got to witness some of the exquisitely prepared and mouth-watering delicacies, satisfying my taste buds to the core.
This place offers the best Indian food. The USP of this place is that it is purely vegetarian. It offers very little Chinese items too which are good. This is the perfect place for a family get together. The place is quite dimly lit and some of the waiters are really cordial. I regularly visit this place with my family because of its proximity to my house.
This one is the next time I visited Skylark. It has been fully renovated. I tried brownie which was delicious and tutty fruity ice-cream which was bad. The previous tutty fruity used to be amazing.
Undoubtedly the best vegetarian restaurant in howrah
Its a great place to hang out with friends as well go out with the family
The food is great and the service complements it
A nice restaurant with good quality food and decent pricing. Best restaurant in howrah. Worth going with family. Meets the expectations of the visitors.
Probably the best dine in in howrah. Location is very apt. And rush is also superb. The food quality is also very good and place is also very well maintained.
Good ambience, quality service and taste of food... This is basically needed when someone looks for a new eatery. Well this place ticks all these boxes here... The lights are kept dim, items are soft (paneer) and fresh.
But its only for vegetarians... Hard Core non Vegetarians will find disappointment unless they want to try the paneer and mock tail items here.
Price is a bit over rated here and seems understandable keeping in mind the standard of HOWRAH AC area.
Nice ambience and friendly staff. Food was good and quality is being maintained. Decoration & interior needs a makeover. Cosy seat.
good one.
I was in hurry but hungry as well so chose this place for a quick bite. I had ordered for veg Manchurian and schezwan chow , both were up to the mark. Staff was fast and courteous. A good experience.
This place may not be that known in Kolkata, but one of the North Indian food are served here. From starters to gravy to kulcha everything is just great. Family restaurant and ambience is pretty decent.
Giving this restaurant a 3 rating is because of his ambience nd maintenance but it's costly as well as the restaurant is standard the restaurant has a special cook on its side of dosa as well it's a veg restaurant nd the price is reasonable
Good food.
I have been ordering food from this place since long as i stay in the adjacent apartment and a vegan.
Keep upto the mark guys, you still have a kong way to go.
Well a restro which is known for its quality ànd old enough to get its name on the top of this area
although i never dined in there but got delivered once a veg biryani on my wife's demand as there is not a single pure veg outlet which serve biryani so ordered from here and it didn't disappoint us . A good portion enough for two and fine quality just a little bit expencive.overall a excellent experience
Great place to visit... Probably d best restaurant in the locality.. The tooty fruity is tooooooo good!!❤ love to visit again and again!! 😍

+3.5
Located in howrah AC market, it has been around for quite sometime, evolving with time to suit the taste of people...it is a veg restaurant serving indian, chinese as well as continental cuisine and that too of pretty decent quality at a decent price
Ambience is vry nice.. blue dim lights.. bt when i visited this place they gave me a menu on which no any indian food like nan, sabji was there..it was 6 pm..they had their seperate dinner menu after 8 i think.
This is the better restaurant than others in my locality.... Enjoy the way they serve and their food. A bit expensive but overall it is quite affordable.
Nice and reasonable place to visit with your family, this is the place one must visit in order to have good breads they serve in north indian cuisine, never must have had a softer naan at anywhere else.
The restaurant is located in first floor of howrah AC market. This place gives you the BEST vegetarian food in Howrah. Paneer Butter Masala and Dal makhani is a must must must try. Masala kulchas are very well cooked and soft. Dim lights make the ambience very soothing and almost perfect for dinner/ lunch. Service is good. A great place.
Well, this restaurant enjoys a reputation of its own in the howrah ac locality.
Its located on the first floor of Howrah Ac Market, and is in the business for quite some years now, perhaps the oldest surviving restaurant in howrah.
It was only a few days ago when i paid my first visit to the place. To be honest, i did not like the ambiance much..nothing great about it. Too dark a place for a restaurant that is enjoyed mostly by families(well, its pretty much subjective).
Coming to the food, our order for three was
1.) Crispy Chilli babycorn
2.) Dal makhani
3.)Paneer jhalfarezi
4.) Masala kulcha and butter naan
5.) Jeera Rice (priced at 170/-)
The babycorn was just ok, the only problem being, it was too sweet, seems the only sauce used to make it was regular tomato ketchup.
The dal makhani was simply fabulous, probably one of the best i've ever had in a restaurant. It was top notch.
The paneer was good too, though nothing exceptional(as per the hype).
The breads served were very good..crisp..hot..fresh.
Liked the jeera rice but its too expensive.
Overall, a recommended place, if you want to have a nice time with your family, with some good food. However its expensive considering the location, but a visit once in a while doesn't harm much.
A word for the management : when we eat, we don't like to see the waiters standing right over our heads, as if waiting for us to leave, sends a wrong message. However, the service was pretty quick, no complaints there!
Ambiance: 2.5
Food: 4
Value for money : 3.5
Service : 4
The best paneer tikka and baby corn in town! Such an old favourite but still has its essence! Always has customers! The service is good! Sundays make you cry because of lack of space! The paneer naan is yummy! The veg au gratin is a must must try!
Nice ambience , great service awesome food I haven't eaten naan so soft anywhere else like what they serve ,all the veggies are tasty ,food menu needs to be improve , Best restaurant in Howrah I would say
This restaurant is located on the 1st floor of Howrah ac market. I visited this restaurant with no great expectations. Even their interiors are not very flashy. But wait till the time the food arrives and all your notions are proved wrong. This place serves awesome vegetarian cuisine without a doubt. They serve excellent north indian and south indian cuisine. Their Malai Kofta is one of the best that i have ever had. Even their paneer items are equally good.Very courteous staff. Give it a try if you happen to be in and around Howrah.
One of the best restaurant in Howrah, they have been for a long time and the food quality is still the best specially north and south indian.
Splendid Veg Restaurant.....................
Delectable Taste...............................
Love the Shahi Paneer and Malai Kopta.......................
Best among all in howrah . Purely veg resturant. Malai kofta is the best followed by starters. Have your lunch or dinner or snacks whenever in howrah. Staff is well behaved.
This is actually the best veg restaurant in Howrah. Have been going here since childhood. Didn't know that its listed on Zomato so writing a late review. Since increasing the seating capacity, it generally is empty unless on weekends when the crowd suddenly picks up and the entire place gets filled in 15 mins. Their Shahi Paneer and Malai Kofta are the best dish.
Crispy chilli babycorn is also a regular on my list. The rotis in the tandoor are also very soft. Naans are of huge size, so order accordingly. Tutti fruti also features on my order though its average. On the whole, their North Indian dishes are exceptionally good. Strangely I haven't tried much Chinese here. Everytime I plan to eat veg, I end up ordering North Indian here.
Good food, will enjoy having dinner at sky lark excellent food and good ambiance makes it a well done restaurant and you must order dal makhani and malai kofta.
The best veg food in Howrah,
Expensive yes but great quality maintained .. Absolutely love the food here
Special items paneer butter masala!
Nice place, good food, its just not good for 2 or 3 people as its quite expensive
Hope to visit again to have those tasty babycorn fidato restaurant
The food here is quite good. It may be a bit costly but the taste is worth the money. Its good for all varieties of food be it south indian, north indian or continental. The food items that are quite good and different from the ones available in other places are - veg au gratin, paneer tikka and dal makhni. Overall its a good place to have dinner/lunch with your family. If you are in this area then its the best place for having your food. I've been here quite a few times and I would recommend it to others too.
This restaurant has the best ambience in howrah ... Both North Indian and Chinese food is lovely ... Shud try chilly potato , baby corn , hakka noodles , .... Great eating for the people living in howrah ...
Been here countless times. No other restora could even compete with it in 2km radius.Heaven in Howrah.
Must go.Must reccomend.Made for vegetarians. There wont be a single person in howrah who doesnt know about it.Plus they have renovated the whole restora.
Taste to die for and contemporary interiors.Perfect place.
Food is good..service is also good..and pocket friendly too.quantity is also good..there i have lots of memory...ya!!!memory..thats y i give 3.5
Not a bad place for an outing...food is quite decent...Though it can go northwards... Ambience needs working...And so the infrastructure too
I have visited this place since my childhood. Food has always been awesome, the dal, the sabzis and the soft breads have always forced me to eat more than the hunger ;) The ambience has not been upgraded with time. But thats about the only drawback. The food quality always makes up for it. Provides more than the value for money. Its one classic!!!
One of the most famous Indian restaurant of Howrah!! I have been to ths place a lot times.. Best dish paneer do pyaza, kali daal and masala kulcha.. Simply awesome food.. Just renovation is reqd as it is due from almost 10 years
One of my personal favorites of all time. Just 2 minutes walking from my house. Do not miss it.
Dosa.... Loving it????
Dine.... Preety Good acc. to the area! ????

Welcome to my favorite restaurant! Since I lived so close to it in my childhood this place is like home to me. Have visited the place for more than 15 years and is always on my list for a must visit. The ambiance hasn't changed much for the last 15 odd years. The seats are comfortable and they are divided into chairs and sofas. Located inside the Howrah AC Market, the restaurant is famous all over Kolkata.
But I did find a change in the Menu and now they have tried to make the rates similar to all other items. For example all the curries have only one price and so are the other items. Well it makes things easy and some people don't have to think much about their budgets.
We were a family of 6 and made ourselves comfortable at one of the tables. The service was good if not great. But all the worries disappeared as soon as your tasted your food. We ordered a Panner Tikka Masala, Navratan Curry and Kashmiri Dum Aloo for curries. The Panner Tikka Masala had that charcoal taste and was our least favorite for some members whereas I loved it. The Kashmiri Dum Aloo may not have the Kashmiri Aloo but it did the trick when it come to taste. The gravy was rich and creamy and the taste was awesome. The best was the Navratan Curry with cashews and pineapple filling the gravy. Absolutely divine and a must try! This time I also tried the Panner Jalfrezi and it was delicious based out from a tomato gravy with chunks of Tomato and Capsicum.
We ordered Butter Naans and Masala Kulcha. The Naans and Kulchas were soft. It had the same texture as some of the Mughlia restaurants in North India have. The Masala Kulchas had a good amount of stuffing.
Next we had the Vegetable Pulao. Well from the top it might seem like normal rice but the taste is great. The rice is cooked in some sort of aromatic flavors and then tossed with vegetables. The rice goes very well with any curry. The Kashmiri Pulao is also great but sweet in taste and quite heavy on the stomach.
The verdict:-
Food/Taste - 9/10
Service - 7/10
Value for Money - 8/10
Quality - 8/10
Ambiance - 7/10
Overall a very satisfying meal!
SKYLARK RESTAURANT IS VERY GOOD VEG -MULTI CUSINE RESTAURANT .The food and bevarage you will always find fresh and service is very excellent all the time. Each and every staff is very well behave and knowledgeable in his own field.
I had worked in "SKYLARK RESTAURANT" as a mangerial post scince 2012 it gives me lots of knowlegde and new ideas in hospitality industry.
THANKS A LOTS
Best regards
AHMED HUSSAIN ( SAUDI ARABIA JEDDAH)
Undoubtedly it serves the best North Indian vegetarian food (and has been doing so for last many many years) in entire Howrah. Recently opened Machaan in AVANI is in different league. The best part is, since the time it opened it has not compromised on quality and taste. Though the renovated interiors has made it bit noisy comparatively.
Its Paneer Tikka, Tomato soup and butter paneer masala are worth going for.
The only good family resteraunt in howrah. Perfect food and service- at a right cost.Love its North Indian food.
one of my faveriote places in howrah the food is just...damn delecious
This place is one of my all time favorites. A truly legendary joint on the other side of hooghly. The decor and ambiance is pristine and absolutely love the place for it.
Coming to the food-- The paneer tikka served here is absolutely brilliant, optimally spiced, perfectly "stiff", pardon me for the slightly inappropriate use of diction, and presented with a yummy pudina-curd chutney that I keep licking till I leave the place. The show stealers are the vegetarian preparations namely - malai kofta, paneer butter masala, black dal and pindi chana. During all my visits to the place over the past decade, there hasnt been a single occasion when I could put to fault any of the staples that I just mentioned. It is quite amazing that the place has maintained the consistent taste through all these years. The masala kulcha at this place also deserves a special mention for its taste.
For all the foodies and connoisseurs in Kolkata, I sincerely request an audience for this joint. I promise it wont disappoint many.
Best resturant in this howrah area
This place is the one of the best restaurants in Howrah that you can dine in. This place had a good ambience and had some great tasting food. The food was also quite reasonable in price with some great service.
For the detailed review:
We ordered a Chola Bhatura and Paw Bhaji. The food came in quite fast (it was not rush hours though) and the food tasted quite good. The food was adequate in quantity and the taste of the bhaji and chola was great. The only downside would be that the menu was quite small when we came for the lunch and I think that might be a good strategy to cut some time during rush hours.
Overall it was a great experience to come here once again after 6-7 years.
I recently had the pleasure of revisiting Skylark Restaurant after a decade, and I am thrilled to share that the place has managed to maintain its charm and quality over the years. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warm smiles and a sense of familiarity that instantly made me feel at home.
The ambiance of Skylark Restaurant continues to be one of its standout features. The well-designed interior, with its tasteful decor and cozy seating arrangements, creates an inviting atmosphere that is perfect for both intimate gatherings and larger groups. The lighting and background music further enhanced the overall dining experience, adding a touch of elegance to the space.
The staff at Skylark Restaurant truly knows how to make their guests feel special. Despite the bustling nature of the establishment, the service remained attentive and cordial throughout my visit. The waitstaff demonstrated a genuine enthusiasm for their work, always ready to assist and accommodate any requests. Their professionalism and friendly demeanor undoubtedly contributed to the overall positive experience.
Now, let's talk about the highlight of any restaurant—the food! Skylark Restaurant's culinary offerings continue to impress. The menu boasts a wide variety of dishes to suit different palates, and the flavors were as delightful as I remembered them. The food was prepared with care, maintaining its high quality and presentation. However, it is worth mentioning that there were a few items listed on the menu that were unfortunately not available during my visit. While this was a slight disappointment, it did not significantly affect my overall enjoyment.
Overall, my return to Skylark Restaurant was a delightful experience. The nostalgic ambiance, combined with the courteous staff and delectable cuisine, made for a memorable evening. Despite the minor hiccup with unavailable menu items, the overall quality of the food and the attentiveness of the staff made up for it. I left the restaurant with a contented heart and a renewed appreciation for this culinary gem.
I highly recommend Skylark Restaurant to both old patrons and newcomers alike. Whether you are looking for a romantic dinner, a family gathering, or a celebratory event, this restaurant will surely leave a positive impression. I, for one, am eagerly looking forward to my next visit to Skylark Restaurant, knowing that I can rely on their consistent quality and impeccable service.
Nice experience I give 4 rating for food because price is little bit high. But food test very yummy and interior design is very nice.
The Best for vegetarians. Professional staff, excellent service and no compromise in taste or food quality.
Dal Makhani highly recommended!!!
Visiting since 1987.
Veg food quality best as far as my opinion goes.
Cordial staff.
Hygienic.
Spotless washroom.
Warm, cozy and elegant. The atmosphere is really relaxing to anyone who comes after a long at work or someone who just wants to break their routine of home-cooked food.
The chairs and the sofa are as soft as they come, so full points on the comfort of the customer's seating value. The lighting is soothing and does not discomfort your eyes even if you decide to sit for long.
The food is actually good, because people might think that this place has lost it's touch, but it certainly retains some charm to it after all this time in the business. The starters were served warm and it wasn't overcooked, as sometimes I've experienced.
The main course was served right out of the kitchen, no delay in service there.
The waiters and the staff are very polite and well-mannered. They give you your space and not at all nagging to get you to order up quick.
All in all, a very good outing for me with my family and this is a cool place for dining out definitely, one which checks all the right boxes.
So, go out there, have fun, and share your experience from it.
The food here is very good . you can't compare it with anything. Order anything and it will be good enough.
The ambiance of the place is cosy and very family oriented. Just the concern is tables are too close so there is no privacy ... So except tat everything is perfect.
This restaurant is located in the 1st floor of Howrah AC Market.
The place was overcrowded, had to wait for 15-20 minutes, they don't accept advance booking from any app so that's why you have to wait for sometime on weekends.
It is one of the best and popular restaurants in Howrah Ac/Salkia.
The food served here also tastes good. Though some of the food items are overpriced, one can go to big restaurants or pubs as well with this budget.
It is a family friendly and pure vegetarian restaurant.
Great family restaurant with courteous staff and sweet ambiance.
Good for dining with friends and family. The taste of the food is sooooo soooo good
Cozy place and a fine dining restaurant
Good to eat here. But here food very good for vegetarians.
Everyone here behaves very well.
Its good for a family as well for friends...it's spacious but pricing is high...food is also average not that good if we see the pricing,it's not worth at all. There are also very good restaurants near better than this at reasonable price and delicious food.
This place is very good for family dinners. I visited this place with my family and the food served here is the best in howrah. Skylark ki dal is the best- a must try item on their menu. Recommended for people staying in Howrah.
Food is very very yummy. The restaurant also supports home delivery.
Great food, amazing ambience, services can be slow during peak hours.
