Great food and good taste!
I ordered palak paneer which was tremendously awesome. The food and the delivery service, both were perfect. Minimal calling and great efforts to deliver. Thank you Chutneys.
Its a mandatory visit for me when iam in hyderabad. Love the south indian served here with a good mix of different chutneys. This time ordered the south indian thali , it had a good spread of dishes, though i had expected efficient coordinated service but it wasnt. the thali came and sat on table for a good 5 minutes before the puri came & by that time the sabzis had all gone room temperature. Told the staff but it went on deaf ears. Really dint expect this at chutneys. Rest all the dishes ordered were good as always
Visited Nov 2019
The place is famous for authentic South Indian dishes across.
We ordered Guntur Idli, chole Batore with aloo roast and veg chowmen soap.
All tasted superb 😍, the worst part is the price, they charge exorbitantly. It's not the value for money.
The coffee was grt, only place for a good filtered coffee. At the end.. the lassi tasted ok.
The Sambar is AMAZING! Also for people coming from the US and are afraid of eating chutney or lassi Bc of the water... they don’t use water in their lassi and I ate the chutneys and no issues! Would go again!
I would definitely avoid their bathroom tho! I only speak for the women’s 👍🏽
The 6 variety of Chutneys does justice to its name!
Went to chutneys along with wife. Ordered for steam dosas, excellent. All pickles on the table were very good, coconut chutney, ginger pickle were very delicious. Sambar was very nice. Ordered for dahi vada, very tasty. Ambience is very good. Staff is very friendly, professional. Chutneys is perfect for vegetarian food. Visited this restaurant many times for nice food, having wonderful time.
Unexpectedly visited this place last evening. It was a very quite place with gloomy ambiance. We’ve ordered idli, dosa, noodles and a starter.
Im not a person who prefers idli usually, but this Idli was next level and was very soft.
Rawa dosa was too good and was very soft.
Noodles couldve been better and had lots of capsicum.
Veg spring rolls were the highlight from the whole meal with paneer in it.
And lastly we’ve ordered tea which made me feel better. It had bit of ginger essence and was too good.
Great place to go for a full day South Indian breakfast experience.
Great dosas and a bunch of variety to choose from.
6 different chutneys, coconut, peanut, pumpkin, corn tomato, ginger, and sweet coconut.
Must try the Bahai Hotel Idly.

Chutneys is a very fast running restaurant that although a little pricey when compared to other vegetarian restaurants, serves very good quality vegetarian food. Ambience is good and service is prompt. Their corn dosa is drool worthy.
Must try:
Corn dosa
Butter masala dosa
Rava masala dosa
Aloo 65
Veg fried rice
The place is comfy, very casual and you feel at comfort. Staff is polite and listens to you.
The mint dosa here is a bomb and it is ordered almost always we go there. They can improve a lot on their north indian thali but again its a south indian restaurant so you should accept it the way it is.
Always recommendable for a nice veg family night out.
Amazing authentic food. If you're looking for small meals or breakfast this can be your go to place. Very hygienic but a tad bit heavy on the pocket
This place is fabulous for breakfast and an decent one too for having Thali's at lunch and you will get tiffins all the day. And coming to the most Important Aspect is the varieties of chutneys they offer. They basically give you 4 kinds of chutneys which are very delicious. I recommend this place for everyone who come to visit hyderabad. Guntur idli and Babai idli are just superb.
Ambience 8

Service 8

use butter paper or banana leaf to rap food instead of plastic bag...
Chutneys is one of our favourite veg restaurant in Secunderabad..
Recent visit with my friend ordered steam dosa which is one soecial dosa one can't miss there n Guntur idli is a melt in mouth, plain dosa..
There varieties of chutneys are so special that we enjoy eating them more. Sambar there reminds one of Chennai..
Coffee is super too..
Only negative is it's pricy, bit expensive..
I went all alone to this place and I had to wait 15mins to get in. It was a busy day for me and was really running with time. This place is extremely famous and vastly known for South Indian food. So I ordered a South Indian thali. It was a little expensive (RS275) but the taste completely suppressed the high-price feeling. There were more than 6-7 varieties of Curries,2-3 pieces of mirchi bajji, 2-3 pieces potato poppers, 2 types of sweets and a cup of biryani. 3 Poori's and 2papads were also given.
Overall This meal rejuvenated my busy tiring day.
Ambience:3.5/5
Taste 4.5/5
Service and cleanliness:4/5
Quite regular to chutneys sp road... awesome experience tastefully done interiors. Service crew is very polite n friendly. They will offer you complimentary water bottles of 500ml.
We orderd rava onion masala dosa. Opted masala separately to keep the crispness of dosa intact. Chutneys is only south indian outlet which offers 6 different types of
chutneys along with dosa. All 6 were amazing.
Wow teste with Good pricing ... only masala need little more flavours.

This is one of the famous restaurants of Hyderabad known for it's Andhra tiffins. It is located close to the Rasoolpura metro station and I visited it to try their Guntur Idly [Rs.95 + taxes] and MLA dosa [Rs.160 + taxes].
The whole place is crowded and I had to wait for 10 minutes before I got a seat. The guntur idly tasted awesome along with the 5 varieties of chutneys and sambhar. It had spicy powder applied all over them along with ghee.
Next the MLA dosa tasted ok but I felt it is priced very high. It is nothing but plain dosa stuffed with lots of upma and topped with butter. The best thing about this place is their fresh coconut chutney with little sugar added to it.
This place is good for breakfast and it offers many types of chutney's , and especially the coconut chutney is too good , the sambar is also very good ,the ambience is also good but the only problem is parking
Food was amazing, like finger licking good
. But god knows maybe it was a bad day for the place, the service was very poor. Definitely looking forward to visit this place again but with better service.
Went for a quick lunch over the weekend. Chutneys has never disappointed me.. Be it now or 19 years back. Had Uttapam flavored in 4 varieties and enjoyed it. Ambience is great, food quality is great and has been retained over the years, price is higher to other joins (but quality compensates it). Overall Service staffs need to be vigilant to customer needs. My daughter loved her dosa, so did the rest of my family. The chutneys were amazing. Also tried the Guntur idli, it had a distinct taste.. Which I liked and it was not spicy as I had thought 😊
As ever, there have been only two really good veg food options in Hyderabad - chutneys and Minnerva. So you can rarely go wrong with either of them.
The chutneys in SP road is no exception. Proper service, good taste and decent varieties. This one is a no brainer. The only deterrent would be the cost, which is pretty high.
Don't order more than one tiffin, if you have that habit. The portions are pretty big and are prepared very rich.
The coffee is best taken 1/2. It's too much, too much of a good thing, but still too much.
Returning from the exam center we located this restaurant on our return route. They have a banquet hall too so we had a doubt if they would serve lunch. We called and confirmed that lunch would be available. The best part of the hotel was the sweet smiling faces of the staff. They seated us and we ordered thali. South Indian would have been too spicy so we took North Indian thali. The pulkas were just too good. The food was tasty especially the dhal. my son tried the Chole Batura which is good in all chutney restaurants. On the whole a very relaxing lunch. The one point I give less is for the slight delay in service.
Best place to have South Indian Dish...
Was there for a tour... Had Guntur Idli as well as Babai idli...
You also get 6 different types of chutneys here.. And all tastes good...
I love the spices blended. Authentic dosas. My favourite is Guntur Idlis. Chai is good . The go to place for breakfast in Hyderabad. Rasam is also damn good.
Enjoyed food over here. It is all time tasty vegetarian food.
Especially I like the sambar and sweet Pongal which serves with South Indian thalli
The name is well deserved name because of their different options in chutneys. Ordered boiled dosa and masala dosa, and for the first time i was really impressed by the boiled dosa.
The concept of making dosa without oil being involved, really loved it and the taste of it awesome. Masala dosa really taste quiet normal but the chutneys really gave a life to it.
The prices are being a bit higher but completely worth it.
Very good taste of chutneys and dosas and very fast delivery than other restaurants,
I will recommend this hotel for people who want to taste different types of chutney's
I liled the ambiance and service of the place. The food served was subtle in taste. Especially the varities of dosas are huge.
Nice place for family dining
Very good place to get South Indian food. Good idly, ghee kharam dosa, Pongal, Wada etc. has good options in North Indian food also but would recommend South Indian food. Good coffee as well. A little expensive though. Nonetheless like the food.
Best restaurant for South Indian cuisine and multiple flavours of chutneys. North Indian & South Indian thali are must try at this restaurant.
Bit expensive for the quantity (only few items)
Chutneys is my go-to place for South Indian breakfast. I have never tasted such delicious sambar anywhere else other than Chutneys. Their spread of Chutneys is also an attraction for food lovers. The prices are a bit high for the quantity but I visit here again and again for the Guntur Idly and Sambar.
Best breakfast I had! 😃😋loved Guntur idly.👌..must try! And the ambience is also very good... Finally best place for a best breakfast! Do visit!
Nice ambience and polite staff. Bit expensive but it’s worth for taste and presentation😁😁😁 loved different chutneys provided.will visit again to have South Indian food
This is my favorite Chutneys.
Garlic dosa is costly (160 bucks) but the taste is unique. North Indian food is also very delicious.
Ambience is really cosy and comfortable.
Also many places around to get your dessert.
Loved the break fast .ordered Guntur Karam idly , masala onion dosa . Both are awesome . Loved all verities of chutneys . Surly try idly in chutneys

I have been to this place along with my family on Sunday for the breakfast. It was really very crowded but luckily we got the table quickly. This place is in Hyderabad for more than 15 years.
The varieties of chutneys and sambar are simple amazing. Glad bcoz it’s very much standardised. The taste of idly, Wada, uttapams, 70mm dosa, baby corn dosa, onion rawa dosa tasted heavenly.
Servicing was too good, no doubt.
Will strongly recommend this place and will obviously visit again.
This place is a superb outlet. Very crowdy indeed and the bug thing about it is , it has space to seat.
The upmas are amazing . The ghee and the 4 types of chutneys they provide is a bliss. The Vadas are , I find costly and also tasty though. Being in the land of Vadas, Idlis, Dosas you can't charge much .
One of those odd times where I prefer eating the thali here than the usual idli and dosa. Nicely done menu for a quick lunch. Even though there are many other restaurants in the city that serve more or less the same I would definitely recommend the thali here.
Loved the delicious chutneys here .Ive never had such soft n tasty idli before. The ambience the food the delicious awesome six chutney of various taste are mind blowing.Whenever I come to Hyderabad I always love to have idli here
Good place to eat a meal. Centrally located. Great Thali if you have a large appetite . Both North Indian and South Indian are good . Steamed Dosa is another good option. Attentive staff. Clean restaurant. Valet parking on this busy street makes it a favoured destination for self driving people. Location is bang on the main road.
I keep visiting this place frequently.
I only visit here to have my favourite dishes from the restaurant
1. Onion RAVA masala dosa (i bet u cannot find better in whole city)
2. GUNTUR IDLY (will be loved by idly lovers and who like spiciness in their food)
3.STEAM DOSA (this is one of its kind , not available in every restaurant and even if available , cannot match the taste by chutneys)
Beautiful restaurant on first floo with amazing ambience and delicious food...They provide 6 type of chutneys snd all have different flavors...you can order any south indian dish and all the 6 chutneys will work with it..
But you need to wait for atleast 20min. There Is a separate waiting room at ground floor..
This is a budget place where one person cost is around 200-300INR.
This is one of the joints that we can visit when looking for only Vegetarian options.
The highlight is the variety of chutneys they serve - that includes the newly added Kara Chutney made out of tomato 🍅. Another dish that one should taste is the Guntur Idly or the Podi Idli that's served with Podu strewn all over the idly with Ghee topping.
The one thing which bothers me most is .they stopped serving water in the Jar / Copper vessel /tumbler. They have started giving away the Plastic water bottle - which I feel is not the great thing for this traditional outlet.
Must try place in Hyderabad
They serve food with 6 different chatani
Good family breakfast restaurant
Amazing veg restaurant with a big list of chutneys .. if you are coming here order their specialities. Don't order thali coz if u eat thali then u don't have much space to eat anything else. Babai idly was amazing.. thali was ok but nothing special.. I could have tried many other items. Do order the tea ..it was great..
Enjoyed the babai idly, chole bature and uthappam. Podi dosa was a bit spicy and not appealing in taste. The overall experience was great, the entrance was a little shabby, getting into the restaurant using metal stairs is not great. The elevator access is in the back, you have to walk a bit towards the end of the building, old folks find it hard to walk that far. The manager is making sure that the hotel is clean by close observation.
Very good vegetarian food, especially tiffin and meals, coffee also good, atmosphere is good, only issue with car parking, wallet parking available, if anybody wants to drive car to parking , it is some what difficult.
When compared to the value provided, the prices are on the high side.
The restaurant gets its name from the unique kinds of chutneys they offer.
We choose the Masala Dosa.
The flavour was good but the sambhar was somewhat sweet.
Chutneys were unique and delicious.
Ambiance and service was top notch.
My report card:
Taste: 4/5,
Service: 5/5,
Ambiance: 5/5,
Cleanliness: 5/5,
Value for money: 2/5
The place has been downsized after thw lockdown. The Babia idli with the different varieties of chutneys and sambar was great. The onion masala rava dosa was scrumptious but, the chole batura was a scam- it did not live upto the reputation of chutneys. The coffee was good and certainly a great way to round up a south- Indian tiffin.
Food was excellent. Coming from a south Indian background all dishes served were known to me. Can experience taste with every bite you take and it's unique with different chutneys they provide.
Overall it was good but not unique for me. Everything seemed to be quite expensive.
Just had 2 Idlis (Normal and one Guntur), with an array of Chutneys. These included groundnut (my vote) and another similar one, sweet coconut, tomato, mango chilly and a couple of others.
Somebody should explain the chutneys or add a small tag to them, I had to call and ask them. Though the servers were very courteous, maybe the hotel should own their chutneys better.
Overall, a very short but good experience.
Best breakfast joint for South Indian foodies must try and their variety of chutney is so mouth watering and sponge dosa too
Rava dosa with variety of chutneys was amazing. Coconut chutney was highlight. Mushroom Manchurian & Hongkong Manchurian were very tasty, spicy & lip smacking. Veg biryani was ok. Ambience is very simple, slightly crowded & a bit pricey. Overall it's good food.
Loved the taste of different Chutneys. Guntur idly was really awesome. Poori with upma was also gud. Service was really awesome every time we needed them they would attend immediately. The ambiance was also gud.

Request for Chetnies Restaurant Branch in Kompally, Hyderabad.
I am writing to express my strong desire to see a Chetnies Restaurant branch in Kompally, Hyderabad. As a resident and customer in the area, I have observed a lack of high-quality vegetarian dining options, with Minarva Coffee Shop being the only prominent choice. Given Chetnies' reputation for excellent vegetarian cuisine, I believe its presence in Kompally would be warmly welcomed by the community. Please consider expanding to Kompally to cater to the growing demand for diverse and superior vegetarian dining experiences.
