AMBIANCE: The place has a punjabi dhaba vibe. The walls are decorated with funny punjabi captions. Its quite catchy. The place has a good vibe. They have both table and khaat type seating. Theplace is not too big and some might feel claustrophobic, but since the vibe is cheerful one surely enjoys it.
SERVICE: The service is quite fast. I once visited when it was crowded but still got my food on time.
FOOD: Ordered Malai kofta, Kadai Paneer, Butter chicken and Tawa roti.
The Malai kofta was rally impressive. Koftas were cooked properly, it was soft but no too soft. Kadhai paneer was also good.
I really liked the butter chicken too. Quite flavorful curry and soft tender chicken.
Overall it was an awesome experience with both good food and ambiance. I will surely recommend this restraunt.

Had heard so much about Punjabi Affair when I had first come to Hyderabad but never really went there for almost two and a half years and finally due to a colleague's birthday, made my way here.
Ambiance- I wish they could improve their ambiance. It looks pretty unkempt and just the usual. They do have quirky Punjabi quotes adoring the wall but overall the seating is more or less just like any other random restaurant. 2.5/5
Service- Pretty decent service - Nothing outstanding but fine! 3.5/5
Food- This is what wins the race for these guys. I tried the following-:
Phuljari kebab- It had a filling of peas and potato and tasted super yummy! I wanted to eat more and more of it. It is more on the expensive side for that quantity. 5/5
Vegetable Kadai- Pretty nice and I had specifically asked the waiter not to add any dairy product in it. It tasted awesome despite that. One qualm - It was super spicy and I literally could not eat it after one point of time. I was in fact in a dilemma while taking the second helping debating between the yummy taste and the super spicy levels. 4/5
Rotis- The usual tandoori Rotis which went well with the vegetable. 4/5

Great place to go if you are looking for a fine North Indian restaurant. One can have the good North Indian, Chinese dishes here with kind of same taste as you can get in Delhi.
The first time one enters the place, they may judge the place by it's first look, as it is not so striking or ambient to say. But, boyy by the time you leave the place, I bet you will have figured out when to come next and with whom again. Such is the food here.
Me being a customer here regularly for a span of 5 years, I have never had bad experience at this place in terms of food. That speaks volumes than any review I could write here.
Just few suggestions. Don't miss: Missi Roti, Murg Patiala, Paneer Tikka, Patiala Lassi (humongous glass of asli Punjabi Lassi).

Have been here twice till now with friends and not once I have been disappointed with regards to quality of food and service. The vegetarian food is simply too good with perfect balance in ingredients. Haven't tried the Non-veg items but they look quite appetizing. The Paneer curries and the Kaju masala curry was simply one of the best I have had in Hyderabad. The Patiala lassi is icing on the cake and one must try this lassi out at the end of the meal (a single glass of lassi is quite a lot to handle after a heavy meal, one must plan his/her order accordingly :P) The ambience is quite good, it being a small and cozy place. The 'Khat' type seating option is quite apt but there are very few in number. The quirky Punjabi setting on the restaurant walls also give some chuckles.
Overall, Punjabi Affair at Madhapur is THE place to have a good Punjabi meal with family, friends and colleagues.

Good North Indian food for a reasonable price. We ordered their tangdi kabab, chicken tikka masala and tandoori roti, kulcha and butter naan. The food here tastes quite good, comes in a good quantity and you feel like you get full value for the money spent.

The food and staff everything is really good here. The food is definitely value for money and the patiyala lassi is a must try! But there's only one complaint, i went here with my friends today while we were having our food there were so many mosquitos and flies! It was really irritating while you were having your food. That thing should be definitely straightened out. Rest all is good!

Undoubtedly a fun place to eat. Located just beside the Durgam Chevuru metro station, this is a solid north indian - punjabi cuisine restaurant that serves some tasty food.
We ordered the chhole bature and chicken tikka masala and some gulab jamuns. Each and every item was tasty and pretty solid on quantity. You can safely go ahead, order just one gravy main dish and share it amongst 2-3 persons.
There are also some takiya style seating arrangements available where you can sit, half lie down, eat while caressing a pillow, just the way it was meant to be.
Recommended as the taste is nice, price is reasonable and quantity is very apt.

The fish tikka was excellent and the same case with dhuandar tikka and the chicken patyala was terrific in portion size and taste and the naan combination was a heavenly combination.

Punjabi Affair is one of my favorite restaurant in Hyderabad. Frequently we order Patiala Chicken, Butter Chicken, and Tawa Roti, Some times we tried Panjabi chicken masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, and biryani not up to the mark.
Good food. If you miss north Indian taste, this is the place. Lassi is amazing. As well as the variety of chicken. Place to visit for hungry lads!

Ordered in the good old Chole Bhature with Patiala lassi. By far, one of the best Chole Bhature I've had in town. A little on the sweeter side, the Patiala lassi was in plenty and totally amazing too.
Will reorder when I want to have the best chole ever.
Scope for improvement: Can definitely pack chole better than just wrapping them up in foil next time!

Oh my god! Is this place even real? Their butter chicken is so yum. I have been to this place multiple times, never ordered online from here though. So no comments about packaging and stuff. If you are in Hyderabad and you haven't been to this place, I don't even know what you are doing here!! The place is comfy, the food is lip-smacking, service is excellent. I can't stop raving about this place. Everytime i have been here, it has never been a disappointment. Recommended - chicken tikka masala, butter chicken, dam makhani, chicken starters.

I don't think my review is of any value here. This restaurant is so popular that out of the 6 times I have visited, I don't remember not waiting for a table. The quirky menu and witty Punjabi theme with those funny paper sheet always brings a smile. The food is good and I would recommend the Patiala Lassi which is enough for 3 normal human beings. Giving 4 just coz of the old ambience and feel.

One of the best attraction about the restaurant is the quotes stuck on the wall... Quirky posters about the punjabi culture s always a delight to watch... Even thought the layout of the restaurant looks a little clumsy, it doesn't look awkward..

A friend of a friend suggested this place saying "you are so fond of Punjabi food, have you ever been to this place?" So it's a popular place here, and the food I had here was actually good. I had butter chicken, chicken Tikka and lassi, of which everything was super tasty. The place is quite comfortable and the service was Also quick.
Like always Punjabi food is always good, but the must must have at this place is their special lassi. Had never tasted such an amazing lassi ever.
Love the food. The daal makhni is a must try and the best one in hyderabad till date. Their patiyala lassi served in huge steel glass gives the proper movie style punjabi dhaba feels and the taste justifies the experience completely.

This was my second visit to Punjabi affair, Madhapur. We ordered tandoor platter which was good. Their patiyala lassi is worth every penny.
For main course, we had different kinds of rotis, malai kofta & butter chicken. Malai kofta was too sweet, didn't like it. But butter chicken was awesome.

Went here on a Sunday afternoon, the ambience is quite quirky with the punjabi quotes, service was fast and food was great. We ordered Bhuna Chicken, asked them to make it spicy and they did it quite well. We also ordered Paneer Butter Masala, not quite as good as Bhuna Chicken, well i believe non veg is their main strait. The biryani, made in delhi style is a must try. Washed it all down with a Patiyala Lassi 1/2. A great overall experience.

The place has both desi style seating and tables. Music just suits the place, it kindaa gets noisy though. Nothing extra ordinary but the food is just on point.

This place is kind of a life saver for people looking to have some North Indian food!
The place is located in a decrepit building and the way leading up to it is dingy and doesn't give a positive vibe about the place. The seating area
has chairs and cots but the sheets on the cots are dirty and need to be washed desperately.
All this is secondary, where this place scores high is the food. I had one of the best chicken manchow soups since coming to Hyderabad here. The malai tikka was soft and melted in the mouth. For the main course, we ordered tava paratha, laccha paratha and malai kofta. The parathas were good but the malai kofta was average. It was way to sweet and though the kofta was made of cottage cheese but it did not have any dry fruits to make it complete.
We had the patiala lassi to wash down our food and it is too big for one person to finish so we divided it between the two of us and it was still a challenge. We took home patiala chicken and chilli fish which were finger licking good.
The staff is prompt but look a bit untrained and the hygiene of the place can definitely be made better. I'd definitely be coming here only for the food and hope that they do not disappoint on that front!
Food is great and many options you have. Washrooms are the ugliest, management is so reluctant to even clean them . The wash basin wasn't cleaned for days. The toilet wasn't flushed in a while and people were still using it. I don't even want to guess how hygienic the kitchen might be after looking at the washrooms. All the best.
A great Punjabi accent restaurant with dhaba style ambience. Loved the food. Had visited the place to have some vegetarian dishes. It didn't disappoint and menu suggestions from the staff was good. Ordered Crispy chilli Mushroom, Butter garlic Naan and Paneer Patiyala. And don't forget to grab some Patiyala Lassi..that's the restaurant's highlight.
Prefer considering the restaurant for non veg. Sounds fun to have those in a Punjabi style.

Punjabi Affair has been serving delicious and authentic Punjabi food in the city for over 6 years now. They have opened up again post the lockdown and I was invited here for a food tasting.
We started off with the soups - the vegetable soup and the chicken Manchow soup. Given that they are primarily a Punjabi the Chinese soups were decent. We then started off with the appetizers. The first one was the Paneer Tikka which is quite popular among vegetarians. We then had the Chicken Malai Tikka which was quite flavorful and marinated well with spices. The Tangdi Kebab was another appetizer that I really enjoyed. It had the hint of coriander and ajwain that added to the flavor profile.
Now let’s move on the main course. The main course was by far one of the best that I have had in terms of Punjabi food. The Dal Makhani was thick and creamy filled with the dal and spices that were slow cooked overnight. The butter chicken was quite good with a hint of sweetness and went well with the soft stuffed kulcha. The Patiala Chicken had delicious juicy chicken cooked and wrapped inside an omelette that was soaked in the flavors of the gravy. The Paneer Malai gravy was quite rich and has be enjoyed with the butter naan.
Last but not the least their Lassi is a must have. Served in a tall glass the thick lassi has flavors of saffron and garnished with crushed almonds. The food was definitely great but their service needs to be stepped up a notch. This should definitely be on your list if you savor Punjabi food.
