Amazing ambience and food. Love the quietness. A good place for family outings and a good dinner. Aukaat se baher for those who dont spend 1500-2000 RS for two. 😂
This was my first time visit to Ohris Tadka.
The ambience is amazing , felt like a real class restaurant.
The management and the waiters were kind and helpful.
Food was top of the world especially the paneer curry and corn curry.
Overall a very good place .
This time in ohri's banjara hills want to try Tadka restaurant. ...and not disappointed. Ambience is descent. Good number of varieties in menu. Ordered sea food starter n its awesome. Then naans with rajasthani lamb curry, curry is bit salty. But Overall food is Good and serving is good.

A lovely restuarant located in the main building of Ohris at Road number 12, Banjara hills. Firstly the entry was an extravagant one with rose petals spread all over in a big bowl and a warm welcome by the servers.
We were well seated in the midst of the restaurant with a decent number of crowd happily munching over. For straters we had really nice Chicken drumsticks stuffed with minced mutton with a relsihing taste that probably I would never forget it and would love to go again and again for the same dish. For maincourse the curries ordered were pretty decent too.
Not to mention the cutlery they had used was quite nice and very clean.
Been here long back with my friends I love the food and service .. Ambience is just ok they are having small small private dinning rooms that was a nice concept I guess overall it's a best place
Last week i went to ohris hotel in tadka restaurant for dinner. I ordered for a chicken starter call ghee roast it was fabulous and main course also same. Service was wow the staff are really good and cooperative. I really enjoy the dinner.
Wonder full place
Amazing food
Love to be here again and again
Food: 9 /10
Staff : 10/10
Restaurant: 8/10
Loved the kabab one should try there specialist food
Its one of very old and popular restaurant..you want make birthday party or get together party with friends this is the best place..food is good and service is polite
Decent decor and good food. Went with family and friends for lunch. We ordered veg tandoori platter, paneer lababdar, subz masaledar and veg biryani. The portions are decent size and food taste ok. Cocktails were ok but mocktail was a bit disappointing.
Went with group and had Buffet, food was tasty and staff was attentive. had Veg and Non Veg buffets and spread was okay, not too many items but at the same time sufficient items for both. Sweets was much better than the main course. But Dum biryani was really good. Overall good experience.
I stumbled across this place while searching for late night eat at Banjara hills, we tried ala carte. Restaurant has very middle eastern feel and cutlery were also of metals, very middle eastern style.
We tried Peshawari ajwaini tikka and aloo ki tokri for starters and Chicken Pan biryani for main course. All the three dishes were very flavorful, paneer was spicy and soft, aloo was stuffed with dry fruits and spices, but their chicken biryani was best for midnight biryani craving. Its msu try.
An evening tadka marke...
Great place...food is delicious..ambiance is good.
Our visit was well planned yet pleasantly surprising. Being staying in Hyderabad, Ohris is not a new name for us. We have been to almost all the restaurants in the city
within reach. Some are super good with ambiance and food and some with only food.Â
We (I and hubby) were here for dinner...and enjoyed it thoroughly.
Ambiance was beautiful with simple yet classy decor and service was very impressive.
They had a separate area for private dinning. The room had beautiful paintings hung on walls...old hookah was sitting in corner. Crockery was unique and classy.
Food- Highs
In food we enjoyed quiet a number of delicacies and the best and must try amongst them were-
Cheese Chilli Tikka- Amazingly crisp and filled with melting cheese.
Crispy cheese rolls were yet another thing we just loved.
In mocktails Chatpata Anu..seemed to be their specialty and was very refreshing. Filled with fresh fruits and the tangy flavor added to the drink..gave an amazing taste.
In main course - Dal Makhani is the one...I love in any Ohris restaurant..they serve it with most authentic taste.
Paneer Lababdar was decent.
Amritsari Kulcha- Amazingly soft , perfect filling and a must try in breads.
Food lows-
Harabhara kebab was okish but a little too soft.
Bhuttiyan de kebab- Tasteful yet crispy factor was missing.
Bhune bhutte and Gucci da shorba- Not as per my taste.
Mix veg- It was seasonal mix veg..nothing very special about it.
Laccha Paratha was average.
Overall a very good experience with food and service. The main deciding factors for revisit are mainly food, ambiance and service. It has ticked all for us..and would love to revisit for some more extraordinary experiences.
A wonderful place to dine in! Been visiting here from past 3 years and yet amzed by its taste. Corn cheese pancake lababdar with cheese kulchas and kashmiri malai kofta followed by kashmiri pulav. Just amazing. This restaurant can achieve 5 stars only if it improve its kofta and menu. Otherwise the best.
A place where u would want to sit quietly and have the delicious food that they offer with your family. Drinks are also being served after which one relishes the non veg even more.
Light music prevails through out.
Good place to vist.
Ambience 8/10.
Service 8/10.
Food 7/10.
Food taste was almost similar to each other ,
But only ice cream is good.
Good for only ice creams not other snoacks..
As soon as we entered this place it was a bit full.ambsy and interior was dam good..plates and glass was classe..
We orderef Tadka tangdi kabab and murg biryani..both the things wer very tasty.it was ecpensive too.nice place..
Just a few lines to thank you so much for the wonderful dinner and the birthday arrangements on Saturday night for celebrating my fiance birthday..
Extremely high standard of cuisine, coupled with great restaurant, beautiful flower garnishing, nice atmosphere. Very courteous/happy staff. A real pleasure.
Thank you so much for making his birthday so special. We both had a lovely evening..And also specially Thanks to Mr. Amjad..
I have been to tadka a few times before but this time I took a couple of localites there......The food was awesome and service is very nice
Butter chicken was very nice I must suggest to visit once tadka. ............
Tadka, almost a decade old but has still got amazing flavours to its food. I went for lunch on the Holi, the place was empty which made me two minds whether to have it or at Serengeti. But we found a nice table having a roadside view ( only problem there is the table shoves due to the air conditioners fitted on the ground floor).
Ordered the ohris dal, paneer labadaar and a mix veg. The mix veg was amazing with cream and smoked flovours, dal was brilliantly cooked and paneer was a little sweet for me. The rotis were good and so were the parathas and kulcha. The garlic naan was actually thin which made crumble real fast so didn't enjoy that. The dum Briyani was just awesome .
Would recommend this with ohris dal.
The portion are quite good compared to few other restaurants. The service is pleasantly good. They have service members from different parts of the country which actually works in their favour as different ppl brings different flovours. They are good to chat.
Enjoyed my meal there.
A perfect place for indian food.. Ambience is good, food is really good.. Serving is also good.. Ambience:4/5 Taste:4.5/5 Service:4/5 Its worth a try.
Another day well spent with friends ! Thanks Ohri's Banjara Hills for making my Day today ! Apart from the main meal that was awesome as usual in taste and service, I enjoyed the Orange and Anar Chaska .. :D
Chicken dum Biriyani was mouth watering. Tried it for the first time, the chicken melted away in my mouth.. O:)
Ohris Tadka located on the first floor of the main building is a North Indian/ Mughlai speciality restaurant.
The ambience is very calm and composed. The air-conditioning effect was weak at the place where I was seated.
The starters menu is very very limited at Tadka..They must really work upon this. Corn kebabs and Hara Bhara kebabs taste almost the same..d Hara Bhara Kebabs are cooked well but they do not taste what they used to a few years back. The pudina chutney is perfect.
For the main course I ordered Paneer Lababdar and Masala Kulcha AND these dishes did NOT disappoint!! The curry was superlative and the kulchas are absolute wonders..Ohris cannot go wrong with these dishes. The veg handi biryani has a good portion size and tastes good. The accompanying mirchi ka salan is yuckk!!
I was left with no place for deserts.
Overall, yes this place is recommended. But there is still scope for improvement for Ohris to regain back its popularity.
A little improvement on the menu and retaining its old recipes may do the magic!
Prompt service..tasty food..decent ambience to relax..choice of songs played could be better..
Tadka is a place that has always made me feel extremely comfortable. The service feels absolutely homely. The food is both engaging and delicious.
I've just landed from Delhi and came here for lunch....food was amazing, service was prompt..couldn't have asked for better....
Recommended: mutton barra, roganjosh
Pretty good food. Loved the lachcha palak k saath - really delicious gravy. Had the hara masala naan - spring onions and cheese - super delicious and yummy!!
A good to try here is the amritsari kulcha (comes sans the Chole) - absolutely brilliant flavours blended together beautifully.
Beware - it might just be a tad bit too spicy!!
For mouth-watering and lip-smacking Mughlai and North Indian cuisines, directly bumped at Tadka. They have amazing kebabs and lamb chops. Balti Imli Chooza and Seekh Kebab Veg are really amazing. Paneer Tikka and Tandoori Chatpta Shaslik are good as well. Tadka also has yummy Chocolate Mousse. Best place to dine with friends. A bit costly though.
Surprised to find this restaurant have such low rating. Visited the restaurant Saturday evening though i have visited the restaurant on numerous occasions before, this time it was special as it was parents wedding anniversary . Now going back to food, we ordered two starters bhutewale kebab and paneer dish with roasted papad on it(forgot name of dish) the paneer dish was very tasty but the kebab was ordinary nothing great. In the main course we had ohri's dal and jahangir malai kofta, the kofta was best i have had in long time ,the dal was average. But the breads should get special mention especially cheese masala naan and masala kulcha both were served pipping hot and tasty heavenly. the service was good.
Curious why the place was nearly empty on Saturday evening...?
Amazing ambience with one of the best biryani in the city. The music here is lite and just goes with the theme! Great variety of food and the cutlery is interesting too.. Taste just catches the essence of hyderabad! Don't forget to add a pint of beer with the biryani ????!
Super service. For veg the imli paneer is a must try.
Tadka - decent food, lax service A team dinner occasioned us to come to Tadka as a group of 14 people. There was a plenty of space to accommodate us as the restaurant was quite empty when we arrived and remained so through most of the evening. We ordered quite a few dishes both vegetarian and non vegetarian including platters for starters. The meal served was quite good. The kebabs served as part of the platters were quite succulent and had a distinct flavor for each of the different varieties. The main course was equally flavorsome and enjoyable. As large group, there was a lot of conversation flowing which allowed for us to ignore the fact that the time between placing an order and the ordered dish arriving at the table was quite high, painstakingly so in some cases. Also, the main course dishes ordered were not adequate to serve the number of people at the table. We under ordered... Yes, but it is a fair expectation to be indicated to that effect by the servers... Which they did not and that in my opinion is a slip... I'm going with 3.5 stars out of 5 for this experience docking points mainly for the service that did not live up to the standards expected from an Ohri's establishment...
Ohris Tadka...I ws surprised 2 see a low rating of 2.5 on Zomato since it offers a really yummy fare!
On different visits, I had ordered Hara Bhara kebab and Corn kebab...the kebabs taste quite similar..dey are quite soft n r served with their signature pudina chutney..The kebabs taste amazing. I also ordered aam panna and mosambi drinks..des drinks r tasty n r served with pieces of lemon/mousambi, mint and lots of ice..Perfect fr this hot season...
For d main course, I ordered Paneer makhni and masala kulcha..the curry is too too good..The kulcha is amazing n makes your meal complete...It is one of d best kulchas dat I hv tasted.. We also ordered Veg Dum Biryani...It tastes average..
The service can be a little slow sometimes but the food makes up fr it..
Finally dey serve sweet pans dat lend a finishing touch 2 ur meal!!

A very descent place to eat. Best fr some small meeting.
Have hunted for many restaurants in Hyderabad that serve good Veg Biryani. But so far, found this one to be the best. I frequent this place just for the Tomato Shorba and the Veg Biryani, can't say much about how the rest of the food is here.
I shared dinner with a veg friend here. The cheese kurkure starter was decent, slightly over-fried. I tried the murgh waza kabab which has a coriander base an was very moist and tasty. Main dishes were murg methi and malai kofta - the kofta was too sweet and a bit heavy, on the cream, the chicken did not have much methi in it but was well spiced. I tried a kabooli nan which had dry fruits in it and was very good. Service was a bit slow given that there were not too many customers on a weekday night.
Overall the menu is extensive - the atmosphere nice and quiet. Tadka is worth a visit.
Though I have visited Ohris Banjara several times, but never thought of trying this place. Then once my husband has this craving for butter nan and chicken and we were looking for appropriate place. So decided to give it a try as I heard desi items are quite good here.
Ambiance wise, it is pretty decent like other Ohri's places. Comfortable sofa style sitting, nice cutlery and comfortable lighting and all make it a good place. Ambiance was quite decent but nothing special as such.
Coming to food, we ordered Chatpata Anu ( a drink made of raw mangoes with some pieces of apple and pomegranate in this), Tandoori shaslik ( tandoori platter basically consisted of aloo, mushroom, cottage cheese and capsicum), teekha butter murgh (butter chicken without bones marinated in chilly sauce) for starters. I think mocktail was kind of aam panna made in north indian homes and its flavor, taste and texture was just perfect. Not too sweet, nor too tangy, just perfect as it should it be. Pieces of apple and pomegranate added extra taste to this perfect mocktail. I think only for this, I would love to go again to this place. Tandoori shaslik was ok ok. I didn't like their sauce much but it was barbecued well and paneer and mushroom were fine. Chicken was also passable. Nothing very special or good but was ok.
For keeping main course not so heavy, we ordered corn paneer pancake tikka ( a unique dish made of corn and cottage cheese made as pancake and then put into a gravy), butter nan, ajwain parantha. This was one of the best main course I had. After having starters, I was not very happy and looking forward for main course. But each and every part of main course made my day. The paneer dish was awesome and never imagined it would taste so well. Nicely made and properly cooked. Naan was perfect to its taste. Ajwain parantha was also one of the best I had in town. Very satisfying and comfortable main course.
Service was not of great quality but decent. You need to keep patience to give orders as waiters will not approach you soon but if food is good, I can still ignore minor service issues. They charged 10% of food bill for service charge, so expectation of good service is of course there.
So my overall rating for this place goes like:-
Ambiance 3.5/5
Food 4/5 (cutting numbers for starters. Main course and mocktail was 5/5)
Service 4/5 ( can be improved)
Cost for 2 - 1400 (which included enormous 10% service charge)
nice ambience. good food quality.overall a great place with family or friends
Average. Costly for no specific reason.
My family and I have been visiting Tadka for several years now and it remains our favourite in the city. With pretty ambience, convenient location and parking, excellent hospitality and great food, you'd have little to complain about.
We went again this afternoon and loved the ajwain paneer tikka starter. The orange-ginger vodka-based cocktail was flavourful. As for the main course, Tadka's dal makhani is the best in the city; we also really liked the dal fry and corn methi chaman. The paneer khurchan wasn't spectacular. The ajwain paratha was very good too.
The waiters at Tadka are always extremely polite and helpful and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. The music is usually enjoyable as well. There used to be a very talented gentleman playing the flute live, it would be nice if he was brought back.
Tadka will never leave you disappointed. Love it.
Tadka is one of the four showpieces of Ohri's Banjara. Situated on the first floor it has 'Desi' style written all over it. The sofas are nicely separated by a set of red curtains. We were entertained through out by the awesomely talented flute-karaoke player who played old and new Bollywood numbers
Food :
They offered complimentary massla papad which was a nice gesture. We were amused initially after the one by two Chicken Shorba (the indian version of soup) was served in couple of glasses instead of bowls. But it didn't disappoint us at all. For the main course we ordered Tomato fish gravy , masala kulcha and pudina paratha. The gravy was a thick mixture of tomato and coconut milk which tasted good. We did not order the desserts as they were limited to only Indian (Jamuns, rabdi & halwas)
Service :
We were totally assisted through out. Big cheers to them
Price :
Comes in the medium range. Quite affordable
Positives : Food taste (Totally Indian gharelu). Attractive desi plates and glasses.
Negatives : Quantity served is a little less
Exquisite food and great ambience felt very good visiting this place . A must visit for every1 . food tastes great and good hosptality.
I love the restaurant the food is awesome here as we'll as the service me and my enjoyed it a lot
Hmmmmmmm when we say Indian food means ohris no doubt at all.I have visited this place really amazing food. When we say lunch or dinner at hotel ohris is first preferences.
Great food n service. We been to this place so many times we got great food and drink. They have good drink selection. Nice place enjoyed a lot
No one place in Hyderabad to have North Indian food with live flute parfomance.we had celebrated my mom's birthday with happy birthday song through flute we really enjoy with it. Lovely place for North Indian food.bit different menu so u can enjoy with different taste.
Last week I have visited at this place I really enjoyed alot. Good food great service.very pleasant staff including chefs. chef came on our table and suggest what we should try at tadka. really impressed with service and kitchen team.
I love this place because I am a North Indian food lover whenever I visit Hyderabad, I'Il visit this. Even I visit other places also but Tadka is my first choice. They do have nice kekab selection which I really miss. We had great dinner at this place. our all family members were so happy with food and service both really taken care by service staff.
Great place lovely food amazing staff.really enjoyed a lot.i wanted to have non spicy kebab waiter suggested me to try murg warqi kebeb we really enjoy a lot.
When you want to just have a simple, no frills, yummy food with someone close like a mom, sister, or a really good friend. Tadka is your answer to that. Its north indian to the T.
i have always been a regular here and the food is always consistent. I go there expecting a certain quality and taste and i've never been disappointed. Wether you order a simple Dal Makhani and butter chicken, or Chicken Pan Biryani! For starters we had Nawabi Murgh Ke Shole, and main course was Balti Mir Paneer (amazing twist to a tomato based paneer curry with a very very slight sweet taste to it) Murgh Kurchan - a signature Tadka Punjabi dish! Layer this with some amazing mocktails, Pomo Blast (pomegranate based mocktail) and Melon Balls (water melon, lemon, and mint. veryyy refreshing! Opt for this instead of soda please!) - and you have your best Tadka meal right there.
Ambiance was amazing. there was a flute artist walking around and playing some lovely melody. The ambiance allows you to have a private conversation, business meeting, or anything else.
Food is a 10/10,
Service is a 11/10!,
Valet parking is hassle free,
DO NOT worry about the hygiene. I've never fallen sick with tadka food.
Price - reasonable.
Basically - lovely experience, a yummy meal, and awesome hospitality.
