A nice and comfortable place . Loved tue ambience and the pan Asian food at this place . Perfect place for a nice quiet romantic evening . A bit mote live music or something could have been appreciated .
So far I tried sushi in Hyderabad on the wok, Urban Asia, hashi, Mekong, fusion 9 but my all time favorite is syn Asian grill. I think Japanese masters cook there and has lot sushi options. In rest of place I feel Thai style sushi cooking. I ate sushi in Australia by Japanese made and feel some what same in syn Asian grill. To be frank in rest of places I tried I didn't felt eating sushi that good. If any one know better sushi places please let me know
We had a team party.... the place is calm and we'll maintained. We had our party in Syn grill n bar. In starters we liked fish, sushi(prawn) and rolls. Buffet set up was outside and the spread was good. Live counter was amazing and fresh mango rasmalai was good.
Went here for an early dinner on a weekday. Ambience was very average and the teppanyaki grill tables were not available. They basically still had the grill but we could not sit right next to the grill to experience the way teppanyaki is usually enjoyed.
The menu has a lot of Thai , Vietnamese And Malaysian items as well for people who don’t like sushi as well.
We went for chicken in Pandian leaves, teppan style grilled prawn skewers, mee goreng prawn, Nasi goreng chicken and a wok tossed chicken dish. The food took quite some time to arrive and the drinks we ordered were pretty watered down.
The pandas leaves chicken and prawn skewers were average with the chicken still having an after Taste of being Not thawed well. The mee goreng and nasi goreng were good but were more of a fusion between indochinsese and authentic Malaysian. The wok tossed chicken surprisingly turned out to be a gravy whereas we were expecting it to be a starter. The Satays accompanying the nasi goreng were a bit cold and the overall there was heavy usage of colour in preparation of the food.
Overall take was a very average meal, definitely Not upto taj Standard’s. Only saving grace was service was good but it could be because we were in-house guests.
Fabulous Sushi.
This is one of the best sushi I have ever had in India. Just loved every but of it. The soya sauce, the ginger, the wasabi. Everything was just perfect.
To be fair I have not really explored their menu and my review is based on a single item. But I still have good things to say and so sharing the review. The food was yum and as per my instructions. The service was quick too!
As a Chef ! I most say The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Big thanks to CHEFS... I especially enjoyed the special bar drinks.
Monday Hip-Hop night , I am big fan of Hip Hop music, I loved it. Thanks to DJ, & big Thanks to Kailash Lama, i enjoyed alot.. looking forword to visit again...
Went there at 11:30Pm on Hip hop night.
Enjoyed the music
Syn is well spacious having a big bar near the dance area, and also Syn having a small lounge type park outside where u can sit n relax. This club also having sitting area inside the club as well.
The service is excellent. The stewards are very good. I was hoping to see the live counter which was not there today. We tried the prawn tempura maki, chicken fried rice, udon noodle soups and the chestnut desert. I was really wanting to try the green tea ice cream, but it wasn't available. The food is oriental, and south east Asian.
Amazing place.
Visited this place today for world music day celebration's.
Very nice music 🎶 loved it had chilly chicken it's awesome taste.
We got to knew this place through Mr. Santanu Sarkar he sent the invitation.
Enjoyed food and drinks 🍸.
Thanks Mr. sarkar will be back soon with my friends again.
It is one of those places which serves if not authentic one of the best Asian food in town. Their sushi is the best I have tasted in Hyd. Great food, ambience and cocktails. Their Sunday brunch is total VFM and one of the best in Banjara hills. All in all worth a visit!
Booked the entire place to host a party once and the team did a fabulous job. Everyone liked the food and hospitality. I'm sure this is a fun place to hang out with friends on a weekend
Cozy interiors perfect for dinner & nice place to sit outdoor.
Delicious food.
Friendly service.
Rates are like any other similar place.
Traingular Plate + Round Sushi = Squarely Sin
To work this equation out, you've got to head Syn.
While almost ever other restaurant specialising in asian cuisine offers some kind of raw seafood on its menu, Syn without a doubt is the city's best sushi place.Well, sushi, sashimi, teppanyaki and the works.
We started with sake maki. This lil bundle of rice and fish is affordable yet generously stocked with high quality fish. For mains we had noodles and pepper chicken. The noodles was a stir fry classic and the chicken -the happy comfort food sort.
The ambience, the service and the food keeps pulling us back. Their thai curry demands an independent review of its own.
Weekend or otherwise, this Syn is a must do.
The best Japanese in town. Great sushi, teppanyaki & grills. And a really great choice of drinks. Add to it the relatively quiet lounge atmosphere & you have a winner.
They have awesome Sushi! The best you can get in Hyderabad. Try it to believe it. They also have good Vietnamese, Indonesian, Thai and Japanese food. I had sushi and Thai green curry, it was awesome. The shrimps were pretty good too. A must try, if you havent been there yet
If you are a sushi lover like me, there is no better place in Hyderabad that serves better sushi. More than the taste, I feel assured of eating sushi at a renowned place since I do not want to fall sick by eating stale fish. And fish does go bad real quick. Syn has some amazing food which ideally. Just to add, the ambience doesn't do justice to the brand. It's pretty meh!
The best restaurant taj deccan has got!!! Chilled out ambience perfect for those long lunches or dinners... Good service and a wide variety of Asian cuisine to order from.. I believe the sushi here is best in town.. though I don't eat sushi that's the review I got from others.. The place turns in a lounge in the nights with some good music... Visit for a chilled out experience...

Syn – Asian Grill and Bar at Taj Deccan is one of the few restaurants where we’ve gone multiple times. The sushis are one of the best in the city, the Asian brunch is limitless and pure indulgence and I like the fact that they’re constantly innovating in terms of the menu. Even after multiple visits to the place, I know that I’m going to find something extraordinary as part of it’s menu at Syn.
Syn is artistically pleasing to the eyes and looks beautiful during dinner time. It’s like an aqua-feeling with neon lights criss-crossing through the roof panels and yet soothing at the same time. Chef Rishi Manucha this time has come up with a simple and yet delicious range of Bánh Xèo’s as part of their menu.
I did try a lot of Bánh Xèo’s during our trip in Vietnam. The day almost always started off with a bowl of pho and as I walked down the streets of Hanoi, I couldn’t help not reaching out for a Bánh Xèo once in a while. The Bánh Xèo is a must-have along the streets of Vietnam and you can hear the sizzles of the batter on the hot skillet as each cart keeps dishing out orders. It’s due to this ‘sizzle’ sound that it’s named Bánh xèo, literally meaning “sizzling pancake”
There is a lot of influence of French cuisine in the Vietnamese food culture and the Bánh is among the most noticeable of them. It resembles the French crepe but crisply with a stuffing of your choice. Contrary to people’s thinking, the actually gets it’s color from turmeric and not from eggs. In fact eggs are not even used to make a Bánh Xèo.
Among the various filling in the Bánh Xèos at Syn, we quite liked the Bánh Baby Shrimp and Bánh Asparagus and Water chestnut. Apart from the choice of meat and vegetarian filling, each of the bánhs are stuffed with onions, bean sprouts and fresh greens are provided on the side to fill as per your liking. I quite liked the sauces which had been given alongside with the Rendang sauce being a favorite among them.
Can't forget this place. Our annual meeting dinner gtg held here and we have great moments. Cozy Ambience and their lights are killers. Well showed off. Food and grills were tasty.
Epic music epic food decent staff with some good company you will have the great time we went for package deal so options were limited that was kinda disappointing otherwise the place good ambiance for great party
One of the first places in hyderabad to serve authentic sushi back in the day, Syn was known for its great cocktails and good music before all the new clubs hit town in the last 5-6 years. The place, though sparsely crowded today, still makes for a great experience over cocktails and great food, with a few close friends. Choose to sit outside during winters.
Staff attentiveness and service is, of course, a great thumbs up!
Very good place to hangout with nice ambience.Serves mouthwatering food especially sushi with wine, decent crowd .Definately must visit place in town.
The ambience is perfect, not too noisy not too dull. Service is good as in all Taj Hotels. Its the best place for sushi in Hyderabad. My all time favourite, cheers!

They say Korean food is one of the healthiest cuisine on the planet which has a great emphasis on vegetables & meats cooked in very minimal oil. I’ve had my tryst with Korean food at a Korean guest house recently and the only thing I could learn from my experience is their near obsession with the fermented vegetable kimchi. Was happy to have been invited to experience a Korean repertoire at the ongoing “Taste Of Korea” food promotion at Syn – Asian Grill & Bar, Taj Deccan which arguably is one of the most distinguished Asian restaurant in town.
The moment I walked in, my attention was drawn towards the huge salad spread that had like about eight different variants of Kimchi – Korea’s famous spicy cabbage. Kimchi forms an integral part of a Korean meal which is adored for its sour tangy crunch plus a digestive aid. In Korean cuisine, all dishes are served at the same time and a typical meal includes rice, soup, salads and several side dishes. Began my gourmet experience with Dogani Tang - a knuckle bone leek soup followed by a delectable range of appetizers. Loved the Chicken & Sensa Kas while Saewootwikim – a fried jumbo prawns was quite delicious especially with Kochujang (sesame oil & chilli pepper paste) sauce.
Korean Fest without Bulgogi is definitely incomplete and I was happy to see this classic thin sliced beef dish feature in the mains. The marination used, literally enhanced the flavor and the tenderization of the Bulgogi that went well with Ssamjang – a red chilli pepper paste. The traditional BBQ Beef Roll that I tried was definitely the star of the afternoon! From the veg section the Tofu Jeon was super good and Kimchjieon – a kimchi pan cake which was one of its kind.
For the mains, I was more than content with Japchae – glass noodles made from sweet potato and Bibimbap – a signature Korean bowl of noodles topped sautéed vegetables, marinated meat, hot chilli, seasame oil and other condiments. Next up, paired my steamed rice with Sikumchinamul – a spinach based Kimchi that went well. Phakimchi – Green Onion Kimchi, Oiekimhchi – Cucumber based kimchi, Kkaddugi – Raddish based Kimchi were some of the other ones Salads at the Kimchi counter that I truly relished.
Finished this entire gourmet experience with a glass of Cinnamon – Ginger Tea. Korean cuisine doesn’t have any desserts as such but usually the meal ends with a bowl of fresh fruits.
Another highlight of this festival is its association with Mrs. Sang Hee McAllister, wife of British Deputy High Commissioner, a Korean national herself, who graciously has curated the menu for the entire fiesta. Aside from curating the menu, recipes for all the dishes being prepared have come straight from her kitchen, handed down from generation to generation.
Kuddus to Executive Chef Rishi Manucha & his team who along with Mrs McAllister also brought Mi kyeong Choi – a consultant to better master the authentic simplistic Korean Flavors. Whether a seasoned food connoisseur or just a food lover, the Taste of Korean promotion is a food journey to take your palette through and adorable feast to each of the senses !!
Thumbs up for this one !

Syn Asian Grill & Bar at Taj Deccan, known for its exquisite Pan-Asian food, is organizing “Taste of Korea”, which is offering the discerning food lovers of Hyderabad a chance to try out the delicacies from the Korean peninsula.
The festival has been crafted by Executive Chef Rishi Manucha. An expert on Pan-Asian food himself, Chef Rishi has also roped in Ms. Mi Kyeong Choi, who runs a number of Korean restaurants and guest houses all over India. The menu has been curated by Mrs Sang Hee McAllister, the Korean wife of the British Deputy High Commissioner in Hyderabad, and a food enthusiast. Some of the recipes here have come from her own kitchen, perfected over generations.
Invited to a preview of the festival, my attention was immediately drawn to the nicely laid out salad counter at one corner of the restaurant. The counter had at least five versions of Kimchi, which is possibly the most known item of the Korean cuisine. For the uninitiated, Kimchi is a usually spicy side dish which is very prominent in Korean cuisine, made of vegetables (often the leafy variety) and different sauces. So far, I had only tasted kimchi with cabbage and Gochujang, the signature fermented red chilli paste. But here each of the kimchis used different vegetables and sauces which made them so special. The vegetables that went into these included diced radish, spinach and even fermented seafood. A simple one I specifically liked was MulKimchi a soupy version with cabbages, chillies and carrot.
A salad which everyone went for consisted of colourful strips of an assortment of fresh veggies, egg and beef. It was served with a prominently mustard based dip which was a complete delight. The dip had wasabi, chopped garlic and honey among other ingredients and the resultant zing it had was the perfect foil to the veggies and meat. The dip was so good that we even used it later along with our main courses.
To go along with the food, I was served a white wine based Sangria, whereas some others preferred the red wine version. But as the meal progressed I found out that pairing the dishes with some Korean style Cinnamon Tea works out much better.
Over the lunch Mrs. McAllister explained in detail about the cuisine and patiently answered all of our queries. She explained that the Korean cuisine is extremely simple and flavorful. The Koreans eat a lot of vegetables – both fresh and fermented. Cabbage, yellow beans and radish are some of the popular vegetables in Korea. Among meat Pork is the most popular (though this festival does not showcase pork dishes) followed by beef. Korea is surrounded by sea on three sides, and the long coastline ensures that a lot of seafood goes into their menu, especially prawns, fish and squids. The spices used are mainly sesame seeds, soya, bean paste, garlic, ginger and red chillies.
The salad counter would have been good enough for me to have a complete meal, but there were also a vast array of starters and main courses lined up on the other side. Bulgogi, or grilled meat is another highlight of Korean cuisine. There was Dakgochi Bulgogi – sweet and sour marinated chicken and vegetable on a stick which was particularly liked by me. BBQ Beef Roll had an outer layer of beef and marinated vegetables inside, and the combination worked well with me too.
Saewootwikim was essentially shrimp tempura for which I went back to the salad counter and used some brilliant red chilli based dip to go along. The Chicken Kass or pan fried breasts of chicken in a light batter was another starter which was in demand. A fish version of the same item was available too. Dogani Tang or the mutton soup served had boiled mutton and was very bland for my palate.
Among the vegetarian items, a Cabbage and Lentil Pancake tasted just perfect. There was fried Kimchi too which was nothing extraordinary. Jabche, an unique noodles dish prepared from sweet potatoes in a soya based sauce and went well with Tofu Jeon or tofu fried in a batter.
For desserts Koreans mostly prefer cut fruits. We had a platter of fresh fruits served to us. The restaurant also served us some desserts from their own menu, including a cheesecake and mud pie cake.
Overall, it was a very interesting experience. Korean food is quite different from the standard Pan-Asian stuff we are familiar with. The food has subtle flavours and uses a lot of fermented ingredients, and some of the sauces and dips are fiery. Chef Rishi has researched a lot to ensure that the best dishes of the cuisine has been showcased at the festival. He shared with me that Koreans like Hyderabadis are in love with their chillies.
The festival is on till 19th October. There is a set menu for lunch (Rs. 1099) and a buffet dinner (Rs. 1399). Food lovers with penchant and openness for trying out new styles and lovers of oriental cuisine will find this festival to be a good option. Some of the fiery dips which accompany the food may also please the Hyderabadi palate.

@Hyd.. Asian food ...must visit Syn.
Saturday brunch.. :) :) :)
This place is really a must try. Food is extremely delicious and the staff takes special importance to the preference of the guest. They customise the taste of food according to the preference which i really liked. One must try the fish starters. They are just too good. They also serve amazing chicken starters. I remember having a fish curry in main course which was extremely good. They serve very good Japanese rice and curry. At the end tried a chocolate dessert which was simply lip smacking. Other than the food the ambience was also very good and classy.
This place still has the same type of food despite the numerous chefs they have changed . Their Sushi, stir fry and their steamed fish are still my ever favourites . The LIT pitchers are very potent and that's how it's generally had.
Started of with sushi and especially the dragon makis are great! If you go sit at the bar you can witness the chef preparing your meal real life. The lobster and teppanyaki dishes are worth trying. Ask the waiter for frozen cocktails and prepare for a real treat to your tastebuds. Will definitely come here more often!
I always love eating Sushi and this was the place I started. The Dragon Roll is my all time favourite. It has prawn tempura, mayo, avacado and it looks like a mini dragon! Pretty as a picture. The last is good and goes well with a Bellini.
Into the city of Nizams & it's quite justified if you wonder what the hell are you doing in an pan Asian corner leaving Handis & Biriyani at bay.....
Well, doing justice to those thoughts, it would be Sinful if Syn is missed being right here at Hyderabad.
any word would be less for this grand place, from concept to the quality, SYN sets a benchmark. The blue theme all around sets up an energetic vibe with some delicious platters on offering, I tried the sushi & the Thai..... It was just wow!!!
Taj has really left a lasting effect with SYN & would love to visit again on my next visit to the city.
👌👌
One of the finest places to eat Asian cuisines. Courteous service along with great ambience. Live music was very good. Brief menu but will be needing a little experience on Asian cuisines or your dish could go horribly wrong. But the staff are always ready to help with a smile. Amazing Thai food. The lotus stems was a total wow. All in all a great fine dining experience which never disappointed in my many visits.
This is the place I go to whenever I want to eat Japanese. Love the sushi here. Worth the money. Very good service. You should give it a try if you love Japanese cuisine and sushi.

Simply stunning. Great fresh home made sushi, fast service and relaxing background music. We were with three people and had different types of sushi and the teppan yaki lobster. What a treat was that!!
First time coming to Taj Deacon and to the Syn restaurant. As soon as you get to the door you can see the Eclectic Decor. Very contemporary, cool Asian flare. One side has nice chairs/seating for the bar/lounge area and other side is the restaurant side. I went with a group of 13 ladies. They were able to accommodate us just fine. I ordered an Orange Martini. It was good. I ordered rice paper rolls they were good with dipping sauce. I ordered the Karai Maguro Maki. That was DELISH. Didn't realize per order comes 12 in a roll. Definitely a good portion! Dessert I had cappuccino and the (Chocolate Tsunami lava cake) which was good !!As most places in India for dining, you will need several hours as they are traditionally slow in bring drinks, not bringing an appetizer before the meal, or the check timely. Others stated that it was "expensive"....depending on where you are comparing expensive to. Compared to the USA for a 12 piece Sushi roll for $7 here in India is very very cheap compared to back home. So, it was inexpensive to me. Will be going back for sure!!!
this place has the best sushi in town.. great variety on the menu fantastic interior and service.... this place is an experience for pan asian food lovers....
Have been here several times.. mostly during the day and once at night. At night the place is fairly busy. During the day I believe we were the only once... but I am not complaining as we were taken good care by the staff. They knew when to leave us alone and when to be around to help out. The chef has dished out something special as we waited for our order. Really like the ambience... for a quiet lunch with someone close. The food is awesome! The only problem is we live far away so don't get to visit this place often enough. Will go whenever I am in that area again :)
Syn has outdone itself every time I visited it, a few times to party (must say their cocktail pitchers are insane) and other times for dinner. They have a seperate dining section and the ambience is very elegant and classy.
The Asain delicacies specially the sea food there are just tantalizing!! Very rarely do you get to taste such subtle and delicately done flavouring. Overall, one of my favourite places to go to when I'm in the mood for a dressy evening out ;)
Amazing vibe and the sushi is also really good. Love the feel at this place so it's definitely my fave for taking friends out. They have these food festivals now and then and I must say the food is pretty good too. But all in all its the vibe and the buzz that I am rating here and the food us a plus on top of it. Definitely go here if you want to have a relaxed time and want to unwind.
Great ambience, good food- the mushrooms specially were spectacular, good service and a nice place to catch up with your friends !

Excellent Pan Asian food - wide variety - sushi, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese. Very good choice. Friendly staff - know when to check in and when not to. Highly recommended.
You gotta go here if u wanna have Japanese food in Hyderabad. They offer nice sushis and the laksa is great. The ambience is great too.
SYN is THE place. Used to be one of the best nightclubs. Not sure if they operate as a club anymore. But have some really good drinks and insane Asian food. Right from the Sushi to Indian curries its all good. Super friendly staff and good food. They have a Sunday brunch nowadays by the pool which is supposed to be insane. Need to make it for one such brunch.
One of my fav places in Hyderabad! Love the ambience, the drinks and ofcourse the sushi. Its also open until mid night so u need to rush.
Awsum food! Love the sushi..an array and wide range of menu.. ????????
This is the best sushi place in Hyderabad... Perhaps the best in India. Don't even think of any other restaurants if you plan to eat sushi. :)
It's amazing. I wonder why not many people come here!
Whenever I get a hankering for Sushi the only place that comes to my mind is Syn. I personally feel that its the closest to the most authentic Sushi we can get in this city of ours. Syn is located in Taj Deccan and and anything associated with the Taj name is sure to be good.
Syn has a huge menu and apart from the Sushi and Sashimi you can get a wide variety of Asian dishes here. I have tried a couple of the soups here and the best has to the Coriander soup. Its very subtle and is sure to tingle your taste buds. Stay away from the top yum as its super spicy and I couldn't get any flavour expect for the spiciness. You cannot go wrong with any of the sushi dishes here and my favourite is the spicy tuna roll. In the appetisers you can start of with some classic meat teppanyaki (Grilled) dishes with a sauce of your choice. Another absolute stunner is the Crispy fried Soft Shell Crab in butter garlic sauce. You can judge how good an Asian restaurant is with this dish and Syn absolutely nailed it.
In the main course I always get the Pla Rad Prik which is basically Crispy fish topped with some soy and ginger sauce. Its my favourite dish on the menu and I get it with a side of rice. Apart from the amazing food another reason to go to this place are the stunning Cocktails they serve. I don't think i have had a better cocktail in Hyderabad. A must try is the Honey chilli Martini which is basically vodka mixed with some watermelon, green chilli and honey. It is spicy and sweet at the same time and is a great way to start of your night. You can also get pitchers of LIIT, Sangria and Cosmo.
The ambience is pretty good and the music they play on Sat nights is top notch. I love the outdoor seating that they have and prefer to sit there weather permitting. The place is pretty expensive when it comes to the drinks with each drink starting from Rs380 but the food is definitely worth the price. It is a must visit place for foodies and for people who love a good cocktail. Keep up the good work Syn!
One day we friends decided to try some new place to chill out and were suggested SYN at TAJ Deccan. The place though serves Asian cuisine but does not have a strong Asian ambiance. They also have a indoor lounge area and a dance floor, pretty small as if it was a last minute addition in the decor. We went on a weekend but the place was pretty empty, especially the lounge area. However the outdoor area was comparatively crowded. I personally liked the ambiance.
Coming to the food, I would not say its out of the world but was pretty nice. We ordered khao phad, Thai noodles, Thai red curry, Spicy grilled chicken, crispy chilli potato, Steamed pakchoy with mushrooms and California maki. The pakchoy was bad,but the rest of the food was good, I liked the California maki. The chicken dishes was pretty nice. We also ordere some long island iced tea and they were very well made. Cost wise i think its priced rightly, its definitely not low but not too high either. Would come back to try the rest of the menu.
Will visit this place just for their green curry. My second time yesterday - 25th July and the agenda was - To have Green curry and Jasmine Rice. Given that I was in Thailand for 5 days just the previous week, where I had green curry at almost every restaurant I went to, I can say SYN is right up there. One of the few places in the city where you get authentic flavours – Thai Pavilion and Syn remain my favourite eating destinations in the twin cities.
We went for the salmon sushi, chicken satay and green curry with Jasmine rice. A light meal. The sushi was very good. My friends however said they prefer their sushi with cooked sushi, which is not the traditional way. A good first dish. The Satay was very good – Tender chicken and brilliant peanut sauce. Loved the flavour. Then came the hero – Green curry (chicken) and Jasmine rice. I found it a tad too thick this time but the flavours were intact. I found the fish green curry better.. but again that was some time back so I cant really comment. A killer dish and i will go to Syn again just for their curry and rice.
We had a Chocolate Tsunami for dessert.. Nothing unique about the chocolate cake (oozy on the inside). The icecream however was fabulous – Date flavoured. A very satisfying meal. A must visit
I though the Syn was fantastic.
I went with a friend and we used the outside section - very relaxing and cosy. I totally loved the huge chairs! I order a orange-chocolate martini - It was super yummy - Don't know what its called though.
We ordered something else which was oriental - don't remember again what it was called - it was pretty average.
Besides the ambience I thought Syn was "quite dead" for a Friday night. There were just about 10 - 15 people. I wasn't in a mood to party but nevertheless for someone who was looking for a nice time - would have been quite disappointing.
Am vegetarian & we love Syn. After giving some constructive criticism the first time we went, we were thrilled to see that they had implemented most of our suggestions the next time around.
The dishes we particularly like are:
I) the tempura sushi. Absolutely brilliant; has made believers out of most sushi dislikers too. [and meat eaters who often go: "Vegetarian sushi? What's that?"
II) the green curry
Iii) the Japanese bento dishes. They taste very distinctly Japanese, and that's tough to do in India; most restaurants here don't manage to execute on that as well.
iv) The thai-style spicy basil fried rice
The desserts are strictly okay & the pad thai is a miss too.
---
EDIT: Went a couple of weeks ago with friends after a hiatus of a few months, and its all changed. The service, which used to be great, has gone down at least a couple of notches. Ignored for >1/2 hour for drinks and water, rude service. Very un-Taj-like.
The food's quality hasn't suffered, though the portions & pricing have taken a hit in opposite directions (smaller & higher, respectively).
Current rating -- 3.5
went there after a long hiatus, decent prices for a five star. More of a drink and dine place, would not recommend for a sit down dinner.
Went there yesterday and had the teppan yaki tuna. Taste was okay, but tuna was overcooked to my taste. It should have been pink but this was clearly well done. But besides that the taste was good and given the offer of similar restaurants in Hyderabad I'll certainly go here again.
Would give them more stars if they'd improve or ask for the cuisson. Service was also a bit slow.
I organised a friends birthday party at SYN. it was in the outdoor area and it was just amazing! The feel of the place is classy and subtle its not too loud like most other clubs! Thank the lord they don't over play the bollywood stuff. The music is really nice. I think their dance floor is full most of the time - but there is ample of space to stand, sit, or just walk around and socialise. Generally on a saturday night at Syn, you want to call a bunch of friends and enjoy music. But this place comes with an added super advantage - the food! Yes. All that hype around it is completely true and justified. I ordered for some heavenly Tom Yum Soup - what a taste! Couple that with some ToriKatsu and Pla Rad Prik - (both non-veg dishes) and you have a really nice meal to yourself. I know Syn is known for their sushi, and their sushi is amazing too - however, i really like the rest of their menu too.
Parking - not a problem at all
Ambiance - Just right.
Price - 5 star prices but completely worth it
Service - spectacular
Hygiene - 100% safe without a doubt
We had a fantastic meal last night at Syn. The staff was very attentive and even gave me a mocktail on the house which was rather tasty. My husband ordered a few martinis and they were all very well made.
We were pretty hungry so we dived right into the mains. He ordered Habachi Chicken teppanyaki and I ordered the Yaki Udon. The plating and taste of the teppanyaki was out of this world. The grilled vegetable just melted in our mouth and the chicken was succulent. The butter garlic rice was just the way you'd want it, well cooked and sticky. My Yaki Udon was pretty good too - very well spiced, good use of sauce and the plating was delectable. However, I was disappointed that the chef didn't actually use udon noodles. I'm a sucker for good old, thick udon so I was rather disappointed by that!
Overall, it was a great dining experience. We will visit again!
We went there for a office party .. I really liked the design, seating arrangements, the colors, the food everything .. the only downside was the music .. Really didn't like the type of music that was being played ...
Recently on a visit to Hyderabad I was recommended this place by a friend, and what a recommendation it turned out to be. Probably the only place that serves Sushi in the city, the servings are very good (6-8 pieces per portion), the quality and taste amazing, and the price to kill for! We tried a few different types of Sushis (veg and non-veg) and Tempuras and they were all very good. The Thai soups - both Tom Kha and Tom Yum had very good flavors though we though Tom Yum could have been stronger. The main courses were good too, but the appetizers and the soups are way better.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. If you're in the mood for a really relaxed meal choose to sit outside. They've designed it to look like some kind of a rainforest and it's really calming. All in all, ever since we were recommended this place, it's become our favorite haunt in the city. Try it you must!
Very nice place and worth visiting good food and value for money
Best place for ladies night at Hyderabad.. complimentary drinks , good environment, best dj nd the music collection. Just love this place.
Sometimes food doesn't matter when the service is good.. but food and service both are 5 star here..
Good sushi. Friendly staff.
