A fantastic outlet for authentic bengali cuisine. We had Rui machher jhol, lote maach, daal, alu posto and everything was so delicious with the actual flavour of Bengal. Really loved the place.
The quality of food is very good and its freshly made as you place your order. It had an authentic bengali flavour and taste and is pocket friendly. It accepts zomato gold. You should try out this place if you are a bengali food lover. The ambience and decor had the typical bengali house look with rabindra sangeet being played in background. Definitely a must visit if you are craving for bengali food and Kolkata ambience
Today we visited this place to have our dinner .This place is just beside the JNTU metro and was pretty vacant when we reached there around 9 .
PROS ::-----------

Two things will surely blow your mind

CONS ::---------------------
Service & Maintenance :
Though the restro is in such a prime location ,somehow it is not at all maintained .
You can feel that the bengali theme is trying hard to hold u back to this place with its emotion ,where the restro management may not even trying to.
hardy there are 4 people working including kitchen staff and service persons .
We personally meet and greet the chef for his awesum food .
I wish all the best to this restro to overcome this service and maintainace fault ,and at the end of the day will love to see this place full bloomed.
Came here yesterday with a college friend of mine. In Hyderabad for a day, I decided to explore the nearest Bengali restaurant to the place I was staying. It turned out to be Nabanno.
Entering the restaurant didn't feel like a big turn-on initially, I must say, though at 7 pm, we were their first customer for the evening. My friend is a kind-of regular visitor there, so I decided to consult him on what to order there.
We discussed and decided to go for Plain Rice, Aloo Jhinge Posto, Beguni and Rui Maach Kalia. Aloo Jhinge Posto was good, it tasted like Aloo Sheddo with Rice, but beguni was a big turn-down. The only thing we could feel like having in Beguni was the Besan, and no trace of begun(brinjal) in it. But Rui Maach Kalia was a delight. It was the best item in the evening. Two fresh pieces of fish, which tasted really good, and the gravy was awesome. Having fresh fish after very long felt heavenly. We decided to add dessert to our meal by ordering Aam er chutney, which was great too.
All in all, it is a decent place to fill your Bengali taste buds, but having high expectations from this place would not be a great idea. The staff was polite, courteous, and the ambiance decent.
Overall, Food: 4/5 ; Ambiance: 4/5 ; Value for money: 4.5/5
Ordered fish fry and prawn mustard gravy, both are good. Rasgulla is fresh and just perfect
As much as we the Bengalis like to visit Nabanno for it’s food and the fact that it is one of the very few places serving decent enough bengali food, I hate to mention that the service and the hygiene has taken a backseat in this 2 years of me visiting this restaurant. The service has become excruciatingly glacial and the hygiene aspect of it made me and my friend lose our appetite on our last visit. The food has always been a stand-out for me and would definitely keep coming back but it’s a humble request to the management to make sure that they see to it that there are no baby cockroaches playing underneath the glass top of the dining tables.
Authentic Bengali food.
Better than Oh Calcutta, Hyderabad (imo).
Alu posto here is simply superb. Not sure how they prepare it;tastes a little different. The best I've had so far.
Dhokar daalna and Parshe jhal were awesome.
Visited 4-5 times now;never left disappointed.Service is great and thoroughly professional.

This place is so close to my heart, authentic bengali food that gives me chills, making me feel like it's straight out of mother's kitchen. With someone gold it is a pocket pinch. The ambiance makes me feel like I am home, the soothing bengali music makes me feel like my dad is listening to the radio.
It's the perfect place to go if you're missing home ❤
A wonderful place. Food is amazing here, though a little costly, but the experience is absolutely worth it. Very courteous staff. Bengali folks living in Hyderabad, it is a must visit for you.
A home away from home for bong! A must visit for all the 'Probashis' who crave Bengali food and Bengal away from it at Hyderabad. The restaurant has a room decorated with Bengali artifacts which will take you to the days of your childhood at your grandma's place. Great authentic Bengali food and soothing Bengali music on a lazy weekend with your loved ones....what more you can ask for?
Must try: Bhetki Kalia, Dhokar dalna, and every bong's last feast- Mishti doi.
Superb bengali food is available here..the aloo posto musur daal are lovely..they also have buffet available during weekends..a must visit place for a bengali person living in hyderabad
Apart from the waiting time for the ordered food which apparently took almost 1 hour, everthing (ambience and food) is quite good.
P.S. Don't ever hit this restaurant if you are in a huury 😂
This was an epic experience!!! Must try, every dish, especially Dak Bungalow and Chingri Malai are to die for!! But please don't leave without trying the sweets as well... ♥️♥️
The ambiance was very nice. Service was little slow. Food was not very special but it has the touch of home cooked food. Mutton is good. they don't add unnecessary spices to make it rich so your taste buds won't get bored with the spice and oils. Vetki pakora was lil disappointing as there is more poratao and onion than fish(very lil). Aar fish and pabda was good.
During the scorching heat of Hyderabad the feeling of Bengali home made dishes have a different and exclusive form of magic. We took non veg thali and 1 veg thali. It started with bhetkir chop(though fish amount was less), beguni, luchi alur dum, basmati rice moong dal alu posto dhokar dalna. Then comes the Bengali heartthrob "holud basanti polau" and "kosha mangsho". The delight ended with aam er chatni and rosogolla! ❤️the taste was very good. The decor was very cosy pretty as well as cute. There was buffet option as well. Location wise very good. Just at the foot of JNTU metro station. Overall experience was good. But with this entire spread forgot to unlock my newly upgraded Zomato Gold!
A must visit place for bengali food lover. I can't distinguish which food was better than with others. But I must say chicken kosha and mutton kosha was amazing. Here u'll not get kolkata biriyani with "allu" but rest of the food will give u a touch of bengal.
The ambience was awesome with many photos of kolkata and paintings on the wall.
Try misti doi and rosogulla after having ur meal!!
If you love Bengali food and lives in Hyderabad, you have to visit this place atleast once. The ambience can make you a little nostalgic so will the foods. The foods are worth trying here. They have a huge variety of Bengali menu from Panta Bhaat to Ilish and what not the only thing is missing in the menu is the Kolkata Biryani. Anyways, their Rasun bhapa machh, Luchi, Chholar dal, Bhetki Sorse, Aam Panna are worth a try. Service is also decent. The only thing I don't like is (that is why I am not giving a 5 star) that their food is expensive. We spend Rs. 3500/- for just one starter and one main course and plain rice. Recently been there for their 'Noboborsho Bhoj' (Bengali New Year Feast) and it costed Rs. 750/- per person for buffet lunch. Other than this place is worth a try.
Out of very few places in Hyderabad which can satisfy my bengali tastebuds, this place had been in my wishlist for long. This one is located on the top floor of the building located right beside JNTU metro station. The simple decor of the waiting area gives you typical Bengali bari 'boitokkhana' feels. I absolutely loved the glass door with writings of rabindranath inscribed on it. Though the waiting time was quite long, service being a bit sluggish, even a delivery guy was waiting for his orders for good 45mins along with us. The buffet menu for the day included Dhone pata bora, bhetki pakora, luchi, aloor dam, bhaat/basanti pulao, muger daal, shaak, dhokar dalna, bhetki kalia, rui jhal, mutton kosha, chatni, lengcha and sondesh. This costed 650 Rs. per person. Each and every dish tasted very homely, not too spiced up unlike many other places. A must go-to place for all Bengali food lovers.
This is one beautiful place ,where you get to taste nice bengali food . The staff where very friendly .they take time to get the order but it’s worth the wait very fresh and really tasty. Daab chingri and steamed rice where one Of it’s best dishes and the rasgulla was very soft and juicy . Enjoyed the food with light dim ambience at its best .
Authentic Bengali cuisine is served. The thali is a must try and it is really value for money. You will get a whole plethora of bengali dishes in the thali which can be too much for a single person. So it is an advice to order the thali for two people.
Overall the food is amazing and is a must visit if you are looking for authentic Bengali food in hyderabad.
The ambience takes you back to the homes of bengalis.. Loved every bit of the ambience..
Coming to the food bit, we ordered:
1. Prawns cutlet (found it a bill hallow.. Would rate 3.5/5) ;
2. Bhetki Paturi (loved it!!! 5/5)
3. Chingri malai curry (4.5/5)
4. Mishti doi (my all time favourite dessert.. 5/5)
Service however was slow. Overall, minus the service, had a great dining experience!
Nabanno- For a very long time I wanted to taste Bengali food and yesterday night I finally had been to this place with my Bondhus.
Ambiance - 3/5
The moment you enter you will be delighted to see a small library. The walls are painted with bengali caricatures. The dim lighting and the bamboo decor is beautiful. The seating and cleanliness can be improved. The Bengali music was soothing though.
FOOD -4.5/5
We had ordered Dhonepatar bora, Jhuri aloo bacha,
Luchi, Aloo poshto, Bhat, mushuri daal, Fish kabiraji, Kosha mangsho,Lagcha &Sandesh.
The food was very comforting and delicious. I am in love with the kashundi ( bengali mustard sauce).
The Dhonepatar bora is something you must try.
The flavours are very subtle yet lip smacking.
Service - 4/5
We had pleasant experience. Service was bit slow but it was good. The staff is helpful in suggesting you with the food combination if you are a non- Bengali.
Price- Reasonable prices for such a comforting food.
I will definitely visit this place again to taste Mochar chops and Patnau.
Do visit this place if you want to experience Bengali food.
Hard to locate and even harder to reach the 3rd floor since the entrance is hidden . This place is above pizza hut and the lift is next to pizza hut. We decided to visit with dab chingri in mind but to our disappointment it wasn't available.. we ordered Prawns cutlet, bhetki patari which is indian bass fish steamed in banana leaf and chingri malaikari which is Prawns cooked in spicy creamy coconut milk. I liked chingri malaikari and would rate it 4/5 stars. Had Misti doi as a dessert and it was good. Overall the service was really slow and ambiance was decent. Would rate 3.5 out of 5
If you are looking for delicious Bengali food along with Bengali ambience in Hyderabad then Nabanno situated in Kukatpally is the perfect place. It not only serves mouthwatering Bengali food which makes you feel back at home, it’s decor accompanied by Bengali music will make you feel for a moment that you are sitting in a restaurant somewhere in Kolkata. Food prices are also reasonable. For Bengalis in Hyderabad who are missing their “Barir ranna” it’s a must visit.
Bengoli style cooking in Hyderabad with affordable pricing... just vist !!!!love the ambience ,old school sytle with soft music and food is also yummy
Food - Perfectly balanced flavours with that amazing touch of home cooked food
Ambience - A very laid back and relaxed ambience with a nice reading nook, very reminiscent of old
Homes.
Would I go there again? Yes. This time with a non vegetarian friend, to try out the maach and mutton
Everything was super good. The place, the food and the vibe. Only one man was handling all the tables. He was very polite and patient. I'm definitely visiting the restaurant again to try the other items on the menu.
Decent and authentic place for Bengali food. Ambience is really cool and peaceful. Food is good good place to taste the variety food for localities. Fish curry was good. Buffet menu was not that great.
Food was perfect for a bengali foodie. We had jamai ador non veg royal feast and it was huge. Each and every item was delicious. Will visit the place more and more.
Food was good esp vegetarian.
Disappointed to find Ilish Mach is not available.
Service was bit slow. Homely place. Buffet started very late
One of the best places for a Bengali to be in. The ambience, food, friendly waiters and caterers make it worth every penny. Each and every one of their items is delectable enough to deserve a mention. The Bhetki Paturi, Aaloo Posto and Chicken Kosha will make you drool rivers.
Authentic Bengali taste with ambience of Bengal
Had ordered below dishes
Rui Sorshe - Authentic bengali taste. The quantity of gravy was less - NOT enough for 1 plate rice.
Bhetki Pakora - Same like Onion Bhajji, with some chopped Bhetki fish - Good to have with Tea.
Beguni - It had a coating of Besan - Tastes OK.
Moong Daal - It was too watery, should have been more thick. - Taste was below average.
They also have Buffet - Planning to try that sometime.
Ambience - 4
Food - 3
Affordability - 3.5
Service 4.
If you like having Fish or wanna taste Bengali food, then you can try out this place

Amazing food : Authentic, simple yet very tasty !! Fan of their mustard sauce and aalu ki sabji with luuchi :) , we ordered Royal Thali . The decor and feel of the place is very welcoming.
Went for a Sunday lunch and I was amazed to see the proper niche kind of ambience straight outta Kolkata. Nice seating arrangements, whole range of decors whichbalso includes a vintage gramophone and obviously authentic Bengali food. Ordered Aaloo Poshto, Piyaaz Poshto, Pathar Maangsho, Rice and Chingri Chochodi. All in all, a beautiful experience.
Absolutely love this Bengali restaurant with spot on Bengali ambience and food. My favorite dish is dab chingri, served in a coconut with absolute coconut milk flavors intact and soft prawns.we tried their Bengali thali , which was quite sumptuous and had Bengali flavors and good portion size. Alu jhurjhuri and luchis you can munch on forever
Visited the restaurant on a rainy evening for search of authentic Bengali food and Nabanno didn't turn me down. We ordered Bhaat, Pathar Mangsho, Chingri Chorchori, Chatni and Roshogolla! The food, though took a really really long time to be served, was amazing. It was definitely worth the wait. While we waited for the food, we enjoyed the melodious Rabindra Sangeet being played in the background :) The server who waited on us, was very polite and suggested us dishes and portions according to our tastes.
Would definitely revisit again and again and recommended to everyone who enjoys Bengali cuisine!
The best place out here to taste the Bengali food, especially for the meat lovers , liked everything that we've ordered, particularly chicken🍗 dishes😋😋 were mouthwatering btw its a Zomato Gold partnered resto.😉😉 Now coming to the ambience it was not up to the mark was sweating a bit even though the AC was on. The entrance of the resto is the place for some selfies..

Great place for non vegetarians..multiple options to choose from..fish curry is very tasty..starters are also amazing..must visit if you are a fish lover
Great place to experience authentic bengali food. Tried the rui sorshe ( rohu in mustard gravy ) and it is worth 5 stars . As usual gorged on the sweets and got some packed to take home 😀, do try the roshogolla !!
Also tried the Golda chingri Malai curry - tiger prawns in creamy sauce - which was not the right choice for us - too experimental if you aren't a regular sea food eater .
Ambience is 3 *
No fixed parking and the area is really busy in the evenings.
I am a huge fan of Bengali foods and luckily this restaurant is very close to my place. The cost of the meal is bit high but it is value for money! I have visited this place at least for twenty times but never ever disappointed for food. The dakbanglow mangsho and basanti pulao is my favorite. I also like their buffets on weekends. They also arrange buffets on special occasions and trust me those special day buffets are awesome. A great place and probably the best Bengali restaurant in Hyderabad.
First of all, very worried why people have rated low for this Delicacy bengali Restaurant.
Ambience is very homely,
Staffs are very helpful with their smile on their faces.
We ordered Non veg and Veg thali.
From starter to Desert quality if the food is very tasty.
Overall very nice experience.
One of the best Bengali restaurants in town. This is my first visit here and I completely loved it. They have a great waiting area decorated in authentic style.
Food - Great quality with quantity. If you are looking for good bengali food then its a must go. Must try : Mutton Dakbanglo, Bhetki Paturi.
They also have good buffet options @ Rs.670 plus tax
Staff - prompt and service also was quick.
Verdict - Must go, Happy Customer.
It's one of the best Bengali restaurant in Hyderabad.. Everything, starting from the ambience, food, staffs even the songs they play are authentic Bengali... If you're a Bengali and looking for a place to taste the food from your mom's kitchen, this place is a must visit for you...

If u are a Bengali food lover this is the place for you to be at, Service 5 *, Ambience 5* Food 4* Chicken items were excellent, The main thing fish was not up to the mark , Sweets were good. Can give this one a try with family. We didn't had veg so don't know much about it..
Specialist in Bengali cuisine and they are really impressive in terms of food type, ambience and serving pattern; one might think for a moment that they are are in some restaurant in Kolkata or West Bengal. Location is easy to identify, just adjacent to the Kukatpally JNTU metro station but parking own vehicle is a little difficult. It's in the 3rd floor of the building. The restaurant is not very big but adequate for about 30 people at a time. Food is really good, sufficient in quantity, and so many varieties are available there at any time. Clean, hygienic serving and quality maintained. On the negetive side the price of each item is a bit high, also the serving speed is pretty slow. Overall it was a pretty good dinner altogether.
Not a crowded place. We tried the buffet. Price was 650+ 5% taxes. Also most of the items mentioned were not there. But the food was good. I didn't like the payesh and sandesh though. Good ambience. The lobby looks like any regular bengali home.

If you are craving for Bengali food this should be your go to place. It is the best. Everything in the menu is must try. My personal favorites are Chicken Dakbunglow, karaisutir Kachori, Mutton kosha, Chicken cutlet and the patisopta and the sondesh.
This is a great restaurant if you want to have authentic bengali cuisine. The ambience is such that it reminds you of Bengal, the Rabindra Sangeet just adds to the flavour.
