After a gap of couple of years, we decided to order our dinner from Kim Fung. We ordered Drunken Chicken, Oriental Spicy Crispy Prawn, Egg Chilly Basil Fried Rice and Chicken Chilly Ginger Noodles. The food was very good, especially the Oriental Spicy Crispy Prawn. Rest of the food was quite nice and well made. Though we ordered food for 2 persons, the quantity sent was good enough for 4. However, I would like to mention that the packaging needs to be improved and they should avoid cheap packing materials. I would have given them 5 if the packing was good.
Friendly people serving amazing Chinese food! There some shortage of space to sit which causes some long queues.. but the food is totally worth it

This place is known for their "authentic" Chinese food with subdued flavours and that's where they really shine. If you're looking for Indian "Chinese" staples like manchurian etc. this place isn't for you.
One of the best Chinese restaurants I have been to. Love the Soya Chilly Wine noodles, Drunken Prawns and Fried Chicken. The hospitality and etiquette are impeccable.

I would say one of the best Chinese food in the city. The place may not look so good to dine but the food is a must try. Very friendly staff. It's a bit high on the price but a must try restaurant
It would be great if you increase portion size, I liked the Thai gravy topping prawns Fried Rice. Gravy is soft and rich but there are too many chillies. After all it's great and tasty.
It serves the best chineese food in the area and with authentic Chinese flavours worth spending money also they use heigene while preparing the food which i witness in front of my eyes

Had their dragon chicken,veg wonton soup and soya chilli wine noodles(chicken). The dragon chicken was really good. The wonton soup was good too. Coming to main course the Noodles we had were good but it was sweet ,my freind found granules of sugar in it. My brain was confused whether I was eating dessert or chicken. Overall it was a nice experience. The one thing I was disappointed was our service guy did not know the menu and couldn't really help us. I am giving 4 stars because the service was really quick and prompt.
An emotional favourite, Kim Fung has rarely disappointed me. I loved it more when it was this tiny, “blink longer you’ll miss it” joint because it gave me a sense of neighbourhood pride. The waiters are warm, cordial and helpful.
This hole in the wall restaurant in Tarnaka probably serves the best Chinese in the city. You will need to wait for a half hour atleast to get a seat. And the ambience is basic. But the food... Oh my! Amazing food. My favorites include the Mongolian chicken, soya wine noodles and the Kim fung special wing (can get messy). But pretty much everything in the menu is worth trying atleast once.

If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, this place is just fit for it. Although it doesn't have much space to accommodate lot of people.
Sometimes you have to wait half an hour to hour to get the seat.
And one more catch here is they only accept cash.
Still I have been to this place 5 to 6 times, I just love the taste of food here.
I personally recommend Mongolian chicken, dragon chicken , basil chicken, Momo's in starters and Jade noodles (topping noodles), dragon noodles in main course .

A decent place to hang out and have good food. 1 dish that i would recommend everyone to try is there basil chicken. The place is small still have managed to get a Sitting area for around 9 group of people which is pretty good management. The only downside is they only accept cash.

Small - cozy - friendly staff - pocket friendly - and above all Hyderabadi style spicy Indian Chinese food.

You may be a little surprised when you step into the restaurant first time but as the saying goes, 'don't judge a book by it's cover' holds just right for this place. You will be amazed for many things this restaurant does great that are often missed by many of the expensive restaurants. Quick service, polite staff, amazing food, authenticity, cleanliness and the list goes on.
We ordered veg clear soup, lemon chilli chicken soup, veg manchurian, chilli basil chicken, Kim Fung's special prawns, dragon chicken and Mongolian style prawns. Everything was unique and tasted better than the other. It's hard to say which one I liked best. Everything was just great!

If you are looking for authentic budget friendly Chinese food, this should make it top on your list. This place is incredibly small and dingy, you can easily missed on the road. But don't go by the size of it. It is servers amazing Chinese food, I am not talking about the Indian Chinese food which most outlets sell you, i am talking about the original flavors.
I have frequented this place and kept returning to experiment more but my favourite at this place is lemon chilly noodles and lemon chilly authentic chinese soup. It's just the freshness of lemon and the blast of chilly right at the end which I haven't seen in other places. Other favorites are chilly basil chicken and Korean chicken
Went to the place with a friend who is a regular at the place. Started with talumein soup with chicken . It was average and was nothing out of the planet. But then followed it up with chilly mushroom starter. It was really good considering the fact that there was no dressing and yet tasty really good. Then the chicken semi gravy drum sticks were delicious. We winded up with having soya chilli wine chicken noodles which was like icing on the cake. Simply awesome. Ambience is good and service is quick and polite. Highly recommended place.
Dinner at Kim Fung Chinese restaurant at Tarnaka, heard a lot about this place & after long overdue had chance to visit today to catch up with a classmate who came here from US on a brief visit. It was totally veg affair but oh boy I loved the food, true to the great reviews that I have heard or read this place loved up to those expectations. Ordered Manchow Soup, Crispy Tangy Veg starter, Kung Pao Baby Corn, Veg Sapo Noddles in Main course & Crispy coconut Pan Cake in dessert. Paid 800 with tips.

We had ordered some chicken and prawn and veg starters and Szechuan noodles. The food 💯 and service 💯 too good! There isn’t much of ambience though and the place is usually crowded during meal time. But the wait for table is definitely worth it!
Easily the best Asian food in the Secunderabad area. When it comes to the taste, Kim Fung is fantastic. I'd rate it a 5 if only their ambience or even space was decent or they had a dessert menu. The dragon chicken, Chicken Mongolian, drunken chicken/prawns, soya chilli wine noodles and rice (Chicken and sea food), volcano rice are what we as a family love best!
Go ahead and order in. The wait time can be a problem. Theres nothing you can say about the ambience -- it's just a small place. Visit if you just want to enjoy some hearty food.

Space wise the restaurant is only 10-12 seated and believe me, sometimes the wait is long to get seated. But the food makes anything worthy. Best place to eat and chill out with friends in Tarnaka.
Excellent place for authentic Chinese food. The seating is not spacious but the food makes you forget that. The plethora of sauces available is simply mind boggling and they are lip smacking.
Kim Fung is the only restaurant I make sure i visit whenever I come down to Hyderabad. The food is really good, hands down one of the best Chinese in Hyderabad! I’ve been a customer since 2013 and the taste has been consistent and if changed, then only for the better!

It was long time pending wish to visit Kim Fung @ tarnaka. This place is a very well know,small, family owned restaurant in Tarnaka exactly under metro station nothing much to describe about the hotel , since it's famous and small be ready to wait for longer time.
Comming to food the tase is unique and not like a regular hyderabadi chinese cuisine. The spices, sauce used looks in house and gives unique flavor and taste whatever I had I didn't see excessive use of corn starch or red color.
I had spicy drum sticks - was good crispy inside and thick gravy was good.
Mongolian fish - didn't understand what was mangolian it was bit salty but tased good as it was fish.
Kim Fung special noodles was excellent i opted for chicken the noodles, they we're thin and soft non sticky and no smell ( sometimes we get wired smell if noodles are over boiled) it was served with gravy and I really like the gravy.
I think ordered volcano rice which was egg fried rice served with medium spicy minced chicken gravy. The rice used was different ( i hate when some restaurant use long or basmati rice for fried rice) taste was bland and average I should have asked for some extra spice.
Total bill was 750.
Decent small cozy little space providing decent chinese food. We ordered mix jade soup which was light and delicious in taste, stir fried prawns, basil prawns, mix garlic noodles and one mix manchow rice and 1 chilly prawns less spicy. Food was really delicious when compared to hi-fi restaurants serving bland chinese food. Affordable food in all but the only drawback is waiting time. We had to wait for one long hour for our turn which is like too much. Hoping that they expand the seating area to accomodate more customers.
This little restaurant has a grand total of 5 tables - 3 four seaters, and two 2 seaters, but that's all it takes to have you addicted for life. I've been eating here for about a decade now. I've moved out of hyderabad but still come back for the sheer nostalgia, and the exact same taste.
My favourites - soy chilli wine noodles. Nothing comes close to the heaven that this is.
Veg manchuria - unlike anything you've every tried in the city.
The soups are all great and so are every other starter on the menu. You can't go wrong with this place.
There's only one waiter here who's definitely over worked and could use help. Rooting for these guys to grow bigger.
I'd recommend take away over dine in because of the wait times sometimes.

They really have a authentic Chinese food. Specially on weekends you have to wait for half an hour to one hour to get the place. It can not accommodate more than 30 person at a time . But wait for such a tasty food is a worth. All the items tasted good but in noodles I like the Jade noodles the most
In terms of service it is little slow if you have not ordered in one go, you have to wait long for another item to come

This place is my favourite place where we can find typical authentic chinese. I got to know this place from a friend of mine and loved it since then. Ive ordered honey chilly chicken and jade rice and they were delicious. The honey chicken had just the right sweet and was mouthwatering. The hospitality of this place is great.
Pros:
1) Great food, tasty and right portions.
2) Good hospitality
Cons:
1)The waiting for this place is really long during weekends.
2) Small place (but worth it)

Been visiting this place since a while, this place offers true authentic chinese food. I was never dissappointed with the taste. Even thought the place is very tiny they somehow managing it. Keep it up. Way to go.

1)chicken sapo topping noodles,which were really so yummy,the blend of flavours were amazing.
2)chicken spicy ginger fried rice,the rice was raw and very hard to chew,and was lacking flavour in it.
