Been here with my friend on a weekend for a brunch , we got a place facing towards the waterside glad that we didn't got to sit outside as the pond stinks outside of Taj Banjara when it comes to food taste was fine but the best thing we had was this lemon cheese cake it was so delicious though it is small in portion but fulfill your sweet craving ,Over all food exploring experience out here was good as service was on time👌
Do not serve water bottle with out asking the customer and that too which is priced @ Rs 300+ Taxes. Do give the information and serve it to customers.
I choose this place because it looked fancy and the buffet offer was a stealer. Only once I entered I well understood even if it had not been a part of Taj Banjara the place individually would have survived very well. With life music played I savoured my lunch overlooking the lake and the city beyond.
Normally in buffet some dishes stands out while others do not. That is not the case here each and every dish is well cooked and tasty. Even if I was to visit it on a normal occasion I would have ordered maximum number of dishes.
If you are dining here do not go easy on any fish item as though I cannot be biased but they are the real superhero if I had to choose one amongst others.

Breakfast, looking over the water body reflecting the morning beams is picturesque. Food is delicious and the administration is impeccable.Buffet lunch was great. In spite of the fact that much assortment was not in veg spread but rather were there in non veg and desserts.Staff was excessively obliging and considerate. Astounding Customer Service.

Well as far as a Taj dining goes this place was no different..won't say a mesmerising ambience but a decent one..ample choice of food stuff..good hospitality..unusual was the presence of mosquitoes. .being close to a water body..thts something they need to fix..else don know how many people will wan to have food wid d mosquitoes!!!!Else the taste was as usual nice..d selection of deserts were pretty good..nice place to hang out..n reasonably priced
Been here for weekday dinner.The buffet spread with a mocktail/beer.The soups- chicken manchow and cream of mushroom.Starters-Chicken 65,achari fish,jalapenoballs,and some tikki,which were all fine.The maincourse was pretty much limited.But the grilled fish in the maincourse stood as the star of the spread.Basil fried rice,curries and other dishes were fine.I never thought someone could mess up biryani at these star hotels but they sure did it.Desserts were indian and cakes/pastries.Overall a good place but the spread doesn't stand out for TAJ,DECENT THOUGH. I couldn't rate it less than 4 largely for the great service.
Had breakfast here once during my stay and i must say the first thing i noticed was the view. I loved eating there and the variety was good. They had live counters also and a lot of options from French, South Indian, Mediterranean, and continental were there. Along with a huge range of salads and juices. The staff was helpful and when they noticed i wasn't finishing my coffee since I had a flight to catch, they were courteous enough to pack it fro the go.
Breakfast was full of variety and tasty items ranging from South to North India added with continental extended good quality and courteous service

Had been there for Lunch on Friday Afternoon. Remember to Book a Table in Advance at least a day before, a Strong Cold voice Informed me when I reserved one for myself couple of hours before.
The restaurant is in the Lobby of the Taj banjara Hotel. It has a lake view but you should avoid the lake view table as it might decrease your appetite. Not a clean Lake.
The buffet was well spread. Salads were good with some great accompaniments, probably the best part of the buffet. We went for the soup but it was very blunt. It did lack lot of flavors. Coming to the starters they were more confusing. None of the starters were satisfactory for Indian taste buds. The chicken starter was more like a vegetarian type. Fish wasn't cooked well. probably a bit over cooked.
main course was a bit better than the starters. The Murgh gravy was good and the paneer gravy was better. It was good to find these items in the main course which helped us survive the Buffet. Had ordered a Mocktail it was fair enough. it took 20 mins to serve the first glass and less than 2 min to serve the next one. This is vice-versa in the case of Roti. The first was served within 5 mins and the second was served almost after 30 mins when we finished with rice after waiting for the Roti.
Veg Biryani was better than the Biryani you get in Hyderabad. Not the Typical Hyderabadi Biryani.
Desserts were OK not that great. Taj can do better.
The main reason for 3.5 star was the guy who served us. Though he was slow and a bit confused but he probably was handling a lot of people at a time. The manager wasn't so much into interacting with the guests. Just served and probably left. The waiter serving was pretty interactive and apologetic at times for being late.
Overall just once a time to visit this place in case you are being treated or have some great offer. because Hyderabad does have better option
I am staying at taj banjara and this is the in house cafe. A decent place good food, good ambience, nice service sweet people. That's what you expect from a 4/5 star hotel. We went here for breakfast, the buffet breakfast has good varieties.

Checked in with Taj banjara for lunch. The welcome non veg soup was a bit bland but the veg soup made up for it. The buffet featured western and indian type fish, chicken and chettinad egg. Mentions to their Hyderabadi VEG biriyani which was absolutely delicious...
This place offers a great food with good service and lively music. Been here for lunch and I am very much touched by the quality of food.

I had my breakfast here and it's was the best South Indian breakfast. This hotel is one of the first five star in Hyderabad. Staff was polite and quick to serve. The chocolate milk shake is best item. Even try out andhra dosa. Ambience quality and everything is best as this you can expect from taj.Bakery item are also best. The calmness which this hotel has in the middle of crowded city is to appreciated. For two people it will cost around 1500.

On my third day in Hyderabad, we were asked to choose between Taj Banjara and ITC Kakatiya. We choose Banjara for its Lake side view. We visited to enjoy their famous evening buffet with colleagues. The ambience is good for family dining. Because it was buffet, we tried end number of items. I started with chicken salad and dahi wada. In main course, I tried egg curry, roasted chicken, paneer gravy, masala brinjal, dal makahani, raita. My favorite was egg curry and dal makahani. In desert we tried Pastry, rasmalai, ice cream etc., Overall my experience is good not great. It's not overpriced. But, I am sure other food outlets here are far better than this. You can visit this place at least once.
I stayed in the hotel for 5 days and ih boy!! I loved their breakfast buffet spred. A sumptuos and generous spread of continental, north india and south indian dishes. They even had prepared one bengali item for us one day. Loved the food quality and the items. The variety is too good even for juices they have plenty to choose from. The staff are very cordial and amazed me with their hospitality. The executive chef Somnath the manager Venkat are always interacting to find out if everything is ok. Also had dinner for 2 nights and one buffet lunch and found it to be awsome. Really good food and best hospitality. Kudos to you all
There are lot of Taj properties near banjara hills here. Probably one for each pocket size. LoL
I stayed here for a long time and like the food. Especially the staff is very helpful. If you are staying for a long time they ensure you like this place. They suggest you new items apart from the daily buffet as well. Food quality on the buffet is good but honestly it needs a little bit of a punch. The view is good ( assume its a clean lake 😝)

The outlet is the coffee shop of Taj Banjara. The ambience is not separate from the hotel lobby, hence the feeling of being in a Taj hotel keeps up with you for the entire meal. The restaurant gets its name from the lake view it offers. The buffet has a variety of choices in all courses. The mix of Indian and continental cuisines will not leave you one bit dissatisfied. Starters of 1 fish and 1 chicken in non veg and the hara bhara kebab were amazing. So was the grilled chicken and mashed potatoes in the main course. For deserts as well, the mix of both the cuisines are well varied. Overall, do ignore the pocket pinch, coz it's worth the money you pay!
The brand is always maintained TAJ. The place as you can expect is so well maintained and the service is top notch the food is good too i would not say top notch but good. The quality is amazing though. Went for a buffet and my favorites were appolo fish and veg handi and of course all the desserts. Definitely worth a visit.
Very much satisfied by their quality and service. I bought a Groupon so it was very affordable. Been here for a special occasion. I've seen many reviews regarding the food saying that the food isn't tasty. But I didn't feel like that. Perfect taste with very friendly staff and a beautiful view. Very much recommended 👍.

Been here today for lunch with my team of 16 people.! Limited items were in the menu .. Out of which I liked fish starter, Grilled chicken, Fish curry, chicken Biryani and Dahi Wada from desert .!
Special mention was the service which stands out. They served chicken biryani as complimentary When I asked them that there is no non veg biryani in the buffet. That's really sweet of them..! On our request they also taken special care for our clients who came from US.

I bought voucher on discount price and went to waterside cafe today for lunch buffet.Spread was great for the amount I paid but as I expected food was less spicy.Ambience and service was great as expected.Location and view of the restaurant was great.
Was staying at the hotel so had a complimentary breakfast included. The cafe has a decent view. Coming to the breakfast There were around 5-6 varieties of fresh fruit and vegetable juices. I had the french toast, pancakes, chicken sausages, a danish pastry and for eggs to order I had the scrambled eggs.there was much more in the buffet- poha, upma, idli, wada, poached chicken ,steamed vegetables, grilled fish. The variety of pastries and muffins was also really good. I would have loved it if they served pancakes and french toast a little more warm and fresh. They were made really well but just lacked being hot. Also the variety of cold cuts only included sausages so that could be improved as well.
What covered up for almost any flaw was the staff. They were all very polite and helpful. Overall a good experience.

Been here for a Sunday lunch Buffet with a group of freinds. The first thing that entices you is the ambience of this place. Just sets the mood right for a relaxing lunch. There was a guitarist playing some lovely tunes. The restuarant was very nominally occupied. The sight of a lake (never mind its filthiness )from the glass windows was a treat for the eyes.
Coming to the food ,The buffet spread is quite limited. Its not one of the vast ones where one is spoilt for cvhoice. vegetarians would end up having fewer options.The soup and starters were good. I liked the fish based starter that they had. Crispy potatoes were also very delicious. The other items were nothing great to talk about.They had a mutton delicacy which we didnt taste. The dal makhani was standard and so was the veg biriyani. There wasnt any non veg biriyani which was a big put off. There were a few cakes which were nice to eat and a in house preperation ( Iam guessing) of Kaju barfi.
The food doesnt set any kind of impression but the upclass ambience does. Its an ideal place if someone wants to spend quality time minus the usual crowd and noise and has food as their secondary preference. If I ever go there again it would just be for the musical , soothing ambience and nothing else.
Just checked in so thought of having something at the Waterside Cafe. Rosemary braised lamb Shanks. Tender, succulent and meaty lamb shanks. Found the flavouring a bit too much but over all a fabulous make.. Excellently presented.
Next day tried the Grilled Silver Murrel on Smoked pepper Ravioli n veggies.. The fish was outstanding, melt in mouth, bursting with flavours. Ravioli n veggies were bad.
Tonight we went to Taj Banjara for a quiet dinner party with our family friends. It was a good relaxed time there while the India Vs Australia match was on. The place had good options for vegetarians and non - vegetarians. Nice salad options, dal banjara and Bengali fish curry were good. Liked the fish tikka and the choice of Indian breads also. The desserts were uniquely crafted and the service was super. The ambiance and the splendour of eating in Taj group was obvious. Kids had fun. I will return with family again sometime.
There has been a significant difference in my experience from the last time. The service was flawless and the staff taking care of small things really well. Rich in heritage with a very calm and peaceful ambiance and antique decor adds to the charm of this place. Food was above average in taste and spread. Will definitely visit again.

we had visited the waterside cafe for our anniversary dinner and after a long thought we zeroed in on the waterside cafe.
we had called and reserved a table in the morning, had specifically said that it is for dinner and we will be coming in between 8:30 and 9. we reached there at 9 only to find that someone did not do his job properly. no one reserved the table (highly unexpected that a Hotel like Taj will have such misses) luckily it was empty and we got a table.
from here on I have only good things to say and the experience was an awesome one befitting the name.
Food: 4.5/5
Starters included the fish and chicken, and i was totally in love with the fish not sure how many repeats I had on it.
Live counter: Uttappam which was most definitely different from the one that we have had.
Main Course: all the variety could have been better specially in the non veg but we had a Chicken in rosemary sauce, Fish Pulusu, Lamb biryani.
the best part i liked personally was that the quantity that was being kept was less compared to other restaurants which kept the curry fresh and hot.
rosemary chicken was not a great accompaniment and Biryani did not live up to the famed Biryani of Taj.
i am generally not a fan of veg but this time I had to differ, the Dal banjara was something to die for and so was the spread.
Desserts: I actually lost count. good spread and tasty.
Service: Apart from the initial hic up of no reservation all in house service simply awesome with one person literally coming again and again to help us with anything that we need.
Ambiance: 4/5 perfect for a good silent comfortable dinner. No cluster and over crowding (cant say about weekend)
Pricing: Worth the money spent. but Bottled Water: 150/- per bottle. I know its a 5 * but this is heights of over pricing. but overall its ok.
Overall: a good evening spent. Must visit and wont hesistate to visit again
My friends group decided to go to Taj Banjara buffet lunch through groupon deals at the last moment. We didnt do the prior booking for the group. But the management was kind enough to accommodate us even though they had another booking for the day.
We all had a great time. The food was good too. The desserts were something I enjoyed a lot. Also the salads were pretty good.

My wife and I decided to go to the lunch buffet on a Friday. I saw a nice deal on Groupon that motivated me to try the place.
The host seated us promptly but it took a while for the waiter to come by. We checked out the spread and it was alright. A table with hot & cold snacks, salads, sprouts, couple of soups, a section for veg and non veg appetizers and a selection of items for the main course. Not bad!
The selection of snacks and salad items was pretty good. The non-veg appetizers were not warm and I called for the manager (Shayne), who immediately replaced the items from the buffet. The chef, Gautam stopped by our table and surprised us with a fresh plate of fish and tandoori chicken appetizers on our table. Both were tender, juicy and tasty. The chef also brought a nice decorated plate of fresh salad that had pineapple, green salad and attractive toppings. I forgot to take a picture of that.
Main course included: Murgh Makhani, Malabar fish, grilled chicken pot sauce, dal banjara, dal tadka, paneer lababdar, urulai podimas, milauni subzi, enchilada dobladas, butter corn friend rice, Stir fried vegetables etc.
Another surprise was in store. The chef brought a freshly made pot of hyderabadi chicken biryani to our table. The biryani tasted alright but more importantly, I really liked the service and attention we were given. They really seem to go extra mile to make you feel good.
15 or so desserts were lined up and I sampled each one of them. Thanks to the entire team for your customer service and your efforts to make us feel special. If the items laid out in the buffet taste as good as the items we were served fresh, you will do quite well. All the very best.
Went there thinking of to be a poolside but it was a walk in restro with very quite less variety in the buffet.

Had breakfast here . The food spread compared to other 5 star hotels is limited . However the service is excellent . Hospitality levels and speed of service is great and one can experience the legendary taj hospitality !

Have been here for lunch buffet .. The variety of spread was very good enough and the receiving was really excellent and coming to food all the items are mouth watering especially we got to have dahi idly it tasted really awesome .... And the staters r fine and coming to main course each and every item has a perfect taste .... Love the food to the core the only disappointment was there desserts none of them wer upto the standards of taj.... Apart from that every thing was amazing cheers to the management ... Tq so much for the wonderful food and ur caring 😊
