Headed out to Sri Vengamama for lunch, based on recommendations from colleagues! Ended up being the most amazing Chicken Biryani and Fried Prawns ever! The only tip one needs to be careful about is to pre-inform the staff to make the Chicken Biryani as spicy as you would like it :)! Plus its extremely affordable as well :)!
Food is having normal quality and you have to pay for any additional item demanded. Biryani is good..!! Normal 500-800 bill comes for 3 people.
I'm blown away..by the quick service and yummy Andhra food. The restaurant was fully packed..yeah, of course, on a Sunday afternoon, it is expected from a good eatery. Don't expect anything from ambiance though.
We had South Indian Thali. Rava Kesari, Pappu (Dal), Beans Curry were awesome. Their pickles were so good! The other curries were average.
I was even more shocked when I saw the bill. It's worth every penny...a satisfying Andhra meal for 120 bucks! Seriously? I'm impressed. :)
Tried this place on a friends suggestion on our way to airport for dinner . This is a pretty dark place or may be that's what I felt. There is nothing to talk about ambiance here. Even though it's a restaurant it feels cheap and looks like a fast food place.But brace yourselves .. The food is amazing here . We heard that the Thali is famous here haven't got a chance to try that as we were craving for some biryani. Biryani was really good haven't expected from such a place. We also had some starters drumsticks and tandoori chicken. They were also good but quantity is a bit less. Overall I loved the food here will try their thali some other time .service was quick and responsive they even stood beside and kept refilling the soft drinks which was impressive.Will definitely recommend this place if you are okay with some ordinary ambiance.
Like this place for its Thali. Quick service. True to its name. Biryani ate also good. The one thing here fluctuates is the chicken curry someone's it will be great and some times disappointing. Prawns are great when fresh.

Sri vengamamba family restaurant located before airport it is having non ac n ac section. They serve both veg n non veg with good ambience with great taste n value for money. In morning they serve yummy South Indian breakfast from lunch to dinner thali's to non veg briyani n other south Indian dishes. In evening they serve best snacks total value

One thing most people don't know about this place is that they serve early morning south indian breakfast, but on a roadside stall. U will find everything from idly, wada, bonda, puri sabzi, dosa- all service d with chutney.
So if dont mind standing roadside or eating inside your car and love south indian food, this is the place for you.
Timings are 7am to 10am aprox.

One of the better places to have your breakfast. They started off from a bandi to opening an ac restaurant! No one would have achieved this without providing great food. They still are very customer friendly and serve fresh tiffins always. Do try this place out if you dont mind eating in an establishment type restaurant.

One of the most economical restaurants ever!
It comes on to way to the airport. The restaurant is located next to Hyderabad house. It is quite huge unlike the other restaurants in Shamshabad and has got 2 separate dining areas (ac and non-ac). It also has an Indian sweet shop in it. I have been to Vengamama a couple of times and although I won't say that they serve great food...but definitely good food given the amount it charges.
I went to the restaurant a couple of days back with a group of friends. We were around 7 people and we ordered the following- aloo parathas - they serve some really filling parathas, a must have for vegetarians.
Apart from that, their chicken dishes- kashmir chicken (with dry fruits) ,mughlai chicken (with egg), punjabi chicken, kadhai chicken and the usual butter chicken, all of them were well prepared, even the one with the dry fruits in it. The spices were great too. Every dish was distinct. We ordered butter naans to go with it.
The pace of service was decent and the pricing was the best. With all that in our tummy, we paid a total of 860. Brilliant, ain't it?
Another thing that I'd like to mention is the paan shop just below the restaurant. It serves one of the best paans I've had...the paan is served in a box topped with a piece of fig and served with sweetend cherry on the side.
Definitely a must have!!!
Best place for south indian thalis. The food is on the spicier side. Should try the mutton kheema, its delicious. The prices are very nominal too.
