Best place to relax and have yummy biryani in avhealthy way ... ive been here with friends everyone one of them liked this place ... the seating was cool and the ambience, service, food, quality and quantity ... we ordered for chicken n mutton biryani, chicken starter, phirini, and sheer kurma, chicken birtani was so good especially with burani ... the best biryani i had in recent times, and the desserts too ... will give a detail review in my next visit
One must try clay pot biryani here. It’s completely different from regular biryani available in Hyderabad. So delicious and yummy.
‘Biryani Ghar’ located on the busy streets of Madhapur has a classic arabic seating with simplistic decor. Calm soulful Sufi music sets up you mood while the aromas from the kitchen keep you guessing what’s next on the table.
We were invited for a blogger’s session and the review for the place is as below:
The welcome drinks ‘Roof Afza’ and ‘Khus’ Sharbet were absolutely refreshing.The ‘ Nizami Murgh Musallam’ , served alongside ‘Butter Naan’ had a whole chicken marinated, stuffed with eggs, simmered for hours in a royal spice mix having saffron, cinnamon, cloves, poppy seeds, cardamom and a rich paste of almond cream. The ‘Clay Pot Biriyani - Mutton’ had aromatic saffron infused basmati rice with tender chunks of mutton which was cooked in an earthen vessel that gave it a signature flavour to the dish.
Come experience royalty at Biryani Ghar and indulge into a taste of culinary heritage.
Ambience:4/5, Taste:5/5, Service 4/5, Overall:5/5
This little place oozes Nizam culture in its walls and decor. The tables were cute. You have option to either sit down or can go ahead with tables. Have been here on invite and here goes my review....
MURGH MUSSALAM- now how I love it. Am a sucker for rich gravies and this one is the best I had till date. It's made if Almonds (300gms) ,ghee . We had it with Naan and mind blowing. The chicken was so succulent, it just fell off it nicely. This dish needs pre order, takes 2 hours to prepare. Would highly recommend trying it with family.
The Clay Pot Mutton Biryani- there is a distinct flavour to the biryanis made in clay pots and this one definitely did it right. The mutton pieces, a few, were not that soft for my liking. Special mention to the Raitha, one who doesn't like raita also should try it. It's made of lehsun and til and am a fan of this Raita. Mirchi Salan was good too.
For drinks we had Lemon soda, Khus sherbet and Roohafza sherbet all good.
Waiting to try their Raan biryani next
Biryani Ghar is located in Madhapur and are popular for their Shahi delicacies. I was invited here for a food tasting session. I started off with the lime soda, Khus Sherbat and Roohafza Sherbat. The Nizami Murgh Mussalam had whole chicken marinated overnight in aromatic Hyderabadi spices and cooked with herbs.
hyderabadi zaffrani biryani hai. spicy nai hai. Mast hai.Love it! love it! Love it! Ghar ka khana jaisa hai! had the mutton claypot it was just too yummy
Yummiest Biryanis! Must try guys! If you love very spicy food please tell them to make it spicy. Loaded with saffron and no clour added. Loved the food and the concept behind it
Must try, Have been here multiple times for delicious home style hyderabadi food. Love their claypot biryanis. I want to try their raan biryani also soon
I visited last month, We actually went there accidentally as it suddenly started to rain so we ended up here. It was by pure chance that we found this gem of hyderabadi food! Great Biryani! The best I ever had in a restaurant!
We had claypot Biryani. tried both mutton and chicken. They were good. Not too much masala.. Just like biryani i had a a friends house once on Eid time
good food. a little expensive though. But good quality. The nicest thing was unlike other biryanis this was natural. It was light on the tummy too
Long awaited visit to this place. I had been planning to visit to try their viral specialities, unfortunately couldn't try the Raan Biryani as it was not available. Apparently it needs to be pre-booked. We tried another of their speciality, the murgh musallam. It was delicious in an almond based gravy. Must visit place. They need to work on the serving time though,
Hey Peeps
Few days ago me and my friends visited Biryani ghar , Biryani Ghar is a place where it serves the authentic Biryani's , its a place having the arabic seating and the regular table to the comfy of the customer
Started off with sharbats
* kush sharbat
* Gulab sharbat
Then we were served with Chicken khorma and butter naan, chicken korma was made of pure ghee due to which it tasted fabulous . So for chicken korma- 5 ⭐
Towards the main course we were served Murgh Mussallam which is a unique hyderabadi dish with the right spices and cashew and almond gravy in which whole chicken is cooked so for Murgh Mussallam - 5 ⭐
Later they served us , clay pot biryani, which is made by steaming the biryani under pressure.which was very scrumptious so for clay pot biryaani - 5⭐
Later on they served us Mandi , I have tasted mandi at various places but it was the best mandi i ever had. So for Mandi - 5 ⭐
Coming to the Desserts,
$ Badam firni $
$ sheer korma $
Badam firni is the one were I will be back to this place any number of times, as it was made perfectly with right amount of sweet and the korma was good enough.
It was an overall good experience. The taste of every dish we had was amazing, cooked to perfection and really delicious too
So over all i rate them 5 ⭐⭐❤❤
Afghani mandi is good. Must try. little dissappoinmted with quantity though. good desserts too. Didnt try their biryani. It is located in madhpur.. Its a smalll place.. so better to reserve
Awsum biriyani. it is truly biryani ghar. less spicy but lot of taste. and all natural food without colours. highly recommended. its a small place located in madhapur. suggested to call them and place order.
good place. the biryanis are amazing. We tried their house special Raan biryani. It was hgreat with the mutton falling of the bone.. pre-order and pre-book is required.
We had Paneer Claypot and a Vegan CLaypot. I am a non veggie, but since the other were all veggie we ordered veg food. The best veg biryani i had tasted, good place. recommended
Good and delicious claypot biryani. and chicken khorma. must work on their service time. Not for spicy food eaters, Their food is low on spice but maximum taste,
The almond murg mussalam was just too good and badaam phirni was also 5/5 . I’d give rest of the food 4/5
Had a great time at Biryani Ghar, Madhapur.
The place is easily found on Google Maps and can be accessed with ease.
A nice, calm sitting area, best for warm, calm get togethers.
The seating plan includes floor seating as well as chairs.
Loved Mix Mandi, badam firni and pot biryani out of the food that we had.
We also tried, sheer kurma, roti and chicken mussalam.
Chicken Mussalam is cooked to perfection, hats off to the chef.
My favourites here include Badaam Firni, Murgh Mussalam, Mix Mandi and rose sharbat.
Worth giving a try!

Had an amazing lunch yesterday in Biryani Ghar. It's situated in Madhapur so it was so close to my office, couldn't resist myself from not going.
The ambiance is kinda okayish and small but they do have nawabi style seating so that you can sit and eat in a very relaxed manner.
First they served gulab and khus sherbats. They're like arabian mocktails. They're quite sweet and not really my cup of tea.
Then we were served Chicken Khorma with Tandoori Roti which was really delicious and correctly paired with the roti. It's taste was unique and I haven't tasted something like this before. They can definitely reduce some gravy and increase the amount of of chicken in the Khorma.
The Murg Mussalam was an absolute winner dish, which was incomparable with all the dishes. The almond gravy absolutely won my heart.
I am not a biryani person but it surely changed my mind and I loved the Biryani here, highly recommend here.
The Mandi was okayish, lacks a lot of flavours can surely be improved. The mutton in Mandi was quite chewy and hard to break, can easily be improved.
For desserts, we had Badam Phirni and Sheer Kurma.
The Sheer Kurma is apparently an eid dessert but you can find it here all year long. It's too sweet for my palette. If you're in subtle sweet desserts like me try Badam Phirni. It was my favorite, it was loaded with cashews and almonds and served in a earthen cup. Absolutely great to end your arabian lunch with.
We went there for raan niryani and realised it has to be pre-booked. The management offer us Nizami Murgh Musallam from their special menu.
We were disappointed that we couldnt have the raan biryani. But the murgh musallam was excellent replacement. And teh gravy was just drool worth. and with loads og ghee.
Will visit again for the raan biryani :)
Mast Biryani
Mast Raan Mandi
Zaroor Jao
Zaroor Khao
Loved teh food.. Loved the soft ghazals playing. And also their desserts
Must Visit..
We had Raan Biryani. We were four of us. First time we had a full leg piece of lamb. Its so soft and delicious. We also had sheer khorma. I only had it on eid at a friends place.
Great Food. Only thing is they take long time to serve.
good home style foodNawabi Floor seating.a little expensive but the food taste is great.
Order before hand as most of their special items are made on order
just have the biryani.. as much as you can! thats what i do when i go to biryani ghar, I live in LB Nagar so do not get to visit as often as i can.
Just amazing biryani. unfortunately havent tried any other dishes here
This is my go to place for biryani. I Live very close and they are gracious enough to get biryani delivered to my place free of cost.
So today i went to dine at the restaurant. The owner was there and he came to my table to say hi. We got talking about mixed reviews online for the restaurant. many are very positive and some are extremely negative. I asked the owner why. Apparently most of the negative reviews are from Zomato Gold users who are unaware of the rules and when they realise the discount code is not transferable or the discount is not applicable on house specials and the have to pay in full. They get pissed and threaten to write negative reviews. A few are genuinely negative reviews which they try to get in touch and find out and rectify their mistakes. Everyone has a bad day once a while
And some are because their food is not spicy and people find it bland.
Guys do not go by the nbegative reveiws. This is the most brilliant biryani avialable outside of star hotels. And yes their food is not spicy. But juct eating chilly is not food. Biryani is about a myriad of subtle flavour and chilly overpowers themGo guys,, Biryani Ghar STRONGLY recommendedP.S.: The owner encouraged me to write a review and he felt the people who love his food mostly dont post it. SO i created a Zomato account at his behest. And posting this review
Pros
Mutton Biryani
Nalli ShorbaKhormaBadam Firni
Hyderabadi Muslim Food
Vegan Food
Cons
Slow Service
Higher priced
Been a regular here for more than 2 years now. And their biryani is spot on almost all the times except a couple. Different than the ones sold commercially. But being a true blue hyderabadi this is the closest i have tasted to the one made in hdyerabadi muslim homes
Great Biryani.. Not for spicy food eaters. But one of the few places serving not spicy authentic biryani. Not the commercial spiced up version :)
Biryani Ghar has been on our list froma long time. A small unassuming place located at madhapur. It claims to be authentic Hyderabadi. We went there for Raan Biryani, but realised it a lot for two persons. SO we ordered a murgh musallam biryani/ Its a whole chicken biryani. Was very delicious. Next time we will try other dishes. Going in a group there is suggested
When visiting hyderabad one thing we never miss is Biryani Ghar. This time the owner suggested to go for the newly launched sikandari raan, it was princely priced at 2000 rupees. We were hesitant. But we were told we wont regret it. We were a group of four. It was served in a Big Thaal, with butter naan. The best decision we made! The raan (Lamb leg) was perfectly cooked. Juicy and tender! And the yummiest gravy we ever had, we were told its an almond based gravy.
We went there after a friend recommended Raan Biryani. But unfortunately we couldn't have it as it needs to be pre-ordered. We ordered Nalli Shorba and Chicken Pot Biryani, Very flavourful and delightful. We had Badam firni and not over sweet and balanced. The starters could have been better. But biryani took tha cake.
Nice biryani, loaded with flavours and mildly spiced. Definitely not for spice lovers. They make zaffrani style of biryani. Thats has less masala but loads of flavour.
The khorma was excellent, reminded me of teh dish that used to have at muslim homes in hyderabad.
The desserts were good too
Overall great places. Recommended
One of the few places that serves real Hyderabadi food. Not the spicy commercial version. The beauty is they have adapted the way of cooking perfect for vegetarian and even vegan dishes.
We ordered for sikandari Raan. And my my were we trasported to another world. They do not add any colour to their food thats an added bonus.
recommended and I am going to visit again soon with another group to try their other dishes.
.Biryani ghar is a place where it serves the authentic biryanis and some special items like MURG MUSSALLUM and RAAN BIRYANI on preorder as they dont make these readymade to serve.
It's a small place having the Arabic seating and the regular table to the comfy of the customer.
I have seen many reviews about their service, that it was slow and have been listening about them. Yes their service is slow I do agree, but some items in their menu are only on preorder and that may take at least an hour for them to cook. So I suggest to preorder them if at all going for them form the menu so that they would be served on time till you may reach.
Started off with the Sharbats ( khus sharbat and gulab sharbat), followed by the starters
$ Lasuni chicken $
$ Tangdi kebab $
$ Shami Kebab $
Shami and tangdi were delicious and tasty and the lasuni could be better and they dont use any artificial colours to make the food look colorful or tasty, as you may see in the pictures may not be as colorful as we see at other places.
We were actually here for this
$ RAAN BIRYANI $
Raan biryani is simply the two tender lamb legs marinated for hours and cooked slowly to make the soft and juicy meat and being served on the saffron rice. When we were holding the legs the mest was soo soothing it was just falling apart on the plate and the same is for 4-6 people and is priced at 1999.
Coming to the Desserts,
$ Badam firni $
$ sheer korma $
Badam firni is the one were I will be back to this place any number of times, as it was made perfectly with right amount of sweet and the korma was good enough.

The ambience is more casual than plush with a one section for traditional floor seating, as is popular in food joints serving Mandi, and the other side offers a table seating.
The service is slow, unless you order ahead, since everything is cooked fresh. This being their USP, plan ahead. We tried two starters, a chicken tikka which was succulent and a shami kebab that was ho hum. The raan Biryani was definitely the show stopper with an entire raan cooked till tender, served over a bed of fragrant basmati. The biryani is made in the persian way with the rice being a little on the dry side. My palate being typically Indian, I prefer something to moisten the rice I eat.
The sheer khurma was deliciously sweet and thick and so was the firni. The firni needed a little more time to set and, was way sweeter than it is usually made but I'm guessing the sweetness has been adjusted to the sweet loving taste buds in Hyderabad.
Just happened to be in one great place in Hyderabad that serves gorgeous Mughlai dish which has great history. As the chef himself says, the biryani has its birthplace in India with the Mughals conquering the continent wanted to feed their soldiers with heavy protein rich meals. This eventually made way to a unique mix of rice and meat by the Mughlai kitchens and Biryani was born. Over years it evolved across states and especially in our Hyderabad.
I’m here at Biryani Ghar to taste it’s most prestigious thing on its menu, The Raan Biryani. Raan biryani is a brilliant flavourful dish which has 2 tender lamb legs marinated for more than 24 hours and has flavourful long basmati rice. The whole plate is a great deal and good enough for 4-6 people at ₹1999. The service was a bit slow as they will initiate cooking only post your orders. Best recommended to prebook your order 1-2 hours before and tell the exact time of your arrival so that restaurant will start preparing to avoid waiting time. But don’t worry, you can sip the epic Sulaimani chai and chill for sometime while your Biryani is cooking.
Ambience-4.5/5
Food-5/5
Service-3/5
Value for money-4.5/5
Biryani Ghar, situated in Madhapur is anything but easy to discover and eat a stomach brimming with fulfilling nourishment. The food here doesn't utilize counterfeit flavors or additives. Everything is made on request and in the kitchen , so before you intend to visit this spot hold your tables and your dishes. The Claypot Biryanis are the mark dish of Biryani Ghar. However , the service is slow because they don't store the food which is also a good part as the food won't get wasted at the end of the day. The chef,also the owner, was exceptionally intelligent and agreeable and gave us a background marked by how biryani was conceived in Hyderabad. They additionally have Vegan dishes made on request and they likewise taste great.
Gulab and Khus Sherbat:(4/5)
Sherbat is a conventional beverage produced using products of the soil petals which is sweet and served chill. These are filled in as welcome beverages at Biryani Ghar and tasted really great. My preferred one is the Khus Sherbat which wasn't excessively sweet or excessively flat.
Lasuni Kabab: (3/5)
This is a chicken kabab, in which garlic being the fundamental fixing. The chicken was succulent and consummately cooked yet the masala on the chicken wasn't blended well.
Chicken Tikka:(4/5)
The chicken was delicious and had a pleasant smokey enhance in it. The introduction looked flawless and it was impeccably marinated.
Shaami: (2/5)
It is made with minced mutton and a host of spices like red chilli, green chilli, black pepper. However, the shami kabab was a bit uncooked and gave a bland taste.
Chicken Tikka:(5/5)
This is my favourite dish and I am definitely going back to Biryani Ghar for this dish. It was just so soft inside and cripsy outside. It had nice flavours and you'd want to eat more of those.
Sikandari Raan Biryani (4.5/5)
The Rice was flavourful and the Raan was cooked to flawlessness and tasted wonderful. In any case, the part was less at the cost statements. Aside from that, its a standout amongst other Credible Biryani I've had in Hyderabad.
Badam Phirni and Sheer Korma: (4/5)
The badams in the phirni tasted rich and it wasn't too sweet either. The sheer korma was so good ,it was creamy and balanced with its sweetness. The quantity is huge for one person to finish it..
Hyderabad aaye aur Biryani na khaaye toh kya khaakh Hyderabad aaye! 💜
And if you're looking for having some freshly prepared authentic Hyderabadi Nizami Cuisine, this is just the place.
From Biryanis to Double ka Meetha, this restaurant serves it all. It's got a beautiful and serene ambiance, and the staff is the most courteous I've come across. The owner himself is the chef, and prepares absolutely mouth watering dishes.
In frame:
TANGDI KEBABS: This succulent meat dish was totally drool worthy, with it's beautiful mild flavours.
CHICKEN TIKKA: This too was perfectly cooked and the flavours came out really well.
PANEER TIKKA: A perfect option for spice lovers, this was a delicious dish.
DOUBLE KA MEETHA AND ALMOND PHIRNI: Both the desserts were really scrumptious, and had just the perfect balance of sweet. The double ka meetha dessert is the best I've had so far, and was super moist and delicious. The Phirni bowl was just as yummy.
CHICKEN TAHARI: Beautifully flavourful dish with Chicken Tangdi pieces.
CLAY POT BIRYANI: Best Biryani I've had till date. Beats many a popular Biryani places with the beautifully infused spices.
SULEMANI CHAI: This is black tea with mint infusion. The flavour is just perfect in balance and is the perfect end to a heavy and scrumptious meal!
The absolutely marvelous Nizami ambiance.
Excellent taste and serving.
Went to biryani ghar on a whim. And following a whim sometimes surprises you. And was this a pleasant surprise! We asked for a murgh musallam, they said it's a pre-order item. We told them we are visitors from out of town. The owner accommodate our request. It was the most deliciously cooked chicken we have ever had. The rich gravy with loads of ghee was delectable. Only wish they open one in pune!CHeers Biryani Ghar
I dont know why this place is not more well known....A small place, not that visible from the road. But once you find it.. You are culinary heaven.. Highly recommened for hyderabadi delicacies
I would rate 5* but...

Biryani Ghar as it says really the home of biryanis in more ways than one. Biryani Ka Ghar hai.
Ghar ki Biryani hai
The biggest thing you miss when you move abroad is Biryani. And the first thing you do is go on a biryani pilgrimage in hyderabad.
As a hyderabadi I would say one of teh few places that haven't yet commercialised their biryani.
We had raan ki biryani, which was pre-booked after paying 50% as advance, we were a bit worried to pay advance but since a friend recommended to try their Raan Biryani, we took the risk.
Dum cooked Raan of a baby lamb, around 1kg. It was smaller but as the chef explained that they use smaller lambs as the meat is tender and tastier. We felt 1999 was a bit expensive when ordering. But the biryani was truly worth it and more. Soft tender and juicy, and loads of ghee and saffron. We ordered a Nurgh lasooni tikka while we were waiting for the Raan biryani and that too was excellent. As their was a slight delay the management offered us complimentary desserts. They were so good we felt guilty abouit not paying for them. Badam Firni and SHeer Khorma!All in all a must visit place for Biryani lovers and to experience hyderabadi cuisine.
Will surely visit again to try other fare on their menu.LOTS OF LOVE!
Biryani Ghar , madhapur .
