Loved the fact that the owner/dunno who he was but so polite and made sure that our experience at the restaurant was amazing. He ensured we left the place with a happy stomach and a smile on the face. Excellent customer service.
Had lunch here on Christmas eve. The place is small, kinda cosy. They have both Kobe and this one running out of same place. We had gone for sizzler actually but ended up eating Chinese. The food is the star of this place. The platter is really good in both taste and quantity. Had 5 varieties of starters. And well presented too. I can go this place again only for it! We also had pad Thai veg noodles. Well made and rightly spiced. Definitely worth a visit.
This is the 2nd week back to back we went to this restaurant. Ordered Tom Kha, Phuket fish and pan fried noodles in chilli oyster sauce. I had Tom Kha in many thai restaurants but this one was hands down the best one i ever tasted in India. Phuket fish and pan fried noodles were great too.
Service is fast and all the servers are very courteous. Lastly, met with the owner Suhail bhai. Even though he was super busy managing the place(the place was packed and had waiting at 10.30 pm) he was gracious enough to take some time and explain us the food and how they are sourcing the Thai spices. Thanks Suhail bhai for such an amazing experience!

Went there for a Christmas dinner. We ordered spicy crab meat rice along with burnt garlic chicken and also seafood dumpling. Food was really delicious, specially the crab meat rice ...I loved it. So overall the tasty food and lovely hosting by Sohail made our Christmas night an awesome and memorable one.😊😊

Was here last week on a weekday, for a lunch with a friend of mine. The place wasn't much crowded. Shanghai Chef and Kobe Sizzlers share the space and probably have the same management. The waiter handed us the menus from both the places.
Ambience at this place is decent. Service is above average. We ordered Veg dumplings, Honey chilli cauliflower and Thai green curry with steamed rice. Apparently, not all the items from their menu are covered under Zomato gold. Thai curries and some of their chef specials aren't a part of Zomato gold.
Honey chilli cauliflower tasted delicious. Wasn't the best Thai curry I ever had but was still above par. However, a suggestion that they serve jasmine rice instead of basmati rice. Dumplings tasted average.

If you want to try proper authentic chinese food then this place is a must visit. We tried honey chill potato, phad thai noodles, kung pao chicken. All of then were just amazing delicacies. Also crispy potato and the dessert served at the last made our meal complete. I must add staff at the place where humble, polite and professional. Suhail just took care of us and was very courteous. In total it is a must visit place. You can go out with friends or family. 😊

The ambience with the combination of red and black furnishings on white background with stylish lights and wall arts gives this place a decent Oriental look. To refresh ourselves in that warm afternoon we started with some mockails some of which were cream as well, but then, I fell in love with "Fall In Love" 😍🥰 (mocktail). As I was late due to work, my friends had already started with Drunken Prawn soup and Crab Meat soups. I never had experience with seafood soups but I am glad to say that it didn't disappoint me.
Starters- I am not a dimsum lover but when I tried it here, I must say it was worth it. But one receipe that got all the attention was Volcano Chicken which was comfortably wrapped in a cloud of egg whites and yes that's the way to eat it with the egg whites.
Main course- With their huge variety of must try dishes the place offers a wide range of Pan Asian cuisine starting from Malaysian, Chinese, Burmese, Thai and so on. This was clearly visible, when us confused friends, were recommended to try- Phad Thai Noodles, Thai Green Curry with Steamed Rice, Nasi Goreng Fried Rice and Burmese Khow Suey. Each of these dishes were oozing with a flavours completely unrelated, differentiating each other and shouting out loud that it is a MUST TRY here. I am a Thai curry fanatic but didn't find any place in India that served the authentic recipe until I discovered this restaurant.
Desserts- Coming to the sweet part of this luncheon I tried something new- Darsan with Ice-cream and something known- Fried Ice-cream. It was a after a very long time I had a fried Ice cream which I would say that they nailed it.

Shanghai Chef is a fantastic Asian Chinese restaurant. The food is amazing, especially Phuket Fish and Black Pepper Chicken. Both dishes were tender and flavoursome. Momo's were amazingly done as well. Hope to try out more of there lovely dishes soon on my next visit.
The place is good for a team lunch... the food was really good sizzlers and Chinese in one place was the icing on the cake... The staff was courteous and the owner of the place is quite nice thanks for the good food 😊👍
Chinese cuisine is one of my all-time favourites, and I'm always searching for new places that serve Pan Asian food. And in my quest, I came across this amazing restaurant, and went on to try it out one fine evening.
The ambience is great, with nice dim lighting and environment very clean and hygienic. The vibes the place gives are just perfect. The staff is very courteous and prompt in service.
Everything here was great. Some of the must try items are Crab Meat Soup, Dimsum Basket and Phad Thai Chicken amongst many others. The soup was just mind blowing, a perfect appetizer. The dimsums were soft and spongy with the most delicious fillings. I just wanted more and more of these delights. Phad Thai Chicken from the main course was great. Perfectly cooked noodles with amazing flavours.
Chocolate Brownie Sizzler was the best amongst the desserts, a perfect end to an amazing dinner.
I had an amazing time here and will surely visit again, and recommend everyone to try it.

Chinese is my evergreen favorite cuisine and I am always eager to try some good and different restaurants serving delicious pan Asian food.So on my urge to find a good one my friend suggested me this restaurant.
One fine day we went to this place which is situated near the IT hub at Gachibowli to explore the amazing pan asian delicacies that also included burmese and thai options.
As soon as you enter this place can feel the environment being so South Asian and its so well maintained that no one could make out that this is a decade old restaurant, hats off to the owner for keeping up the standard and the ambience says it all,clean and hygenic with proper dim lights giving the perfect vibes as the walls had chinese alphabets too.
Ordered a drink first as it was a scorching afternoon and we wanted to soothe our throats with a refreshing drink.Chocolate rush drinkPineapple juice with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream.A very wierd combination but tasty and yummmm.

*Crab meat soup
This was a newbie for me as never tried a crab soup before and was glad to taste it as it was thick,luscious, delicious,a bit tangy and moderately spiced with a kick of burnt garlic and small chunks of crab which was a winner in soups.
*Drunken prawn soup
A thick soup flavored with spinach,garlic and prawn bits,tanginess overpowered this soup which can be taken care of.
Starters-
*Assorted dimsums
presented in the authentic bamboo dimsum basket with assorted dumplings like kothe,shu mai and schezwan was to die for.
*Phuket fish
Oh my my!! "star of the show" big boneless chunks of fish crisp fried with a perfect coating,massaged with the sweet and sour sauce and covered with the gracious toppings of chopped garlic,spring onion and green chillies just won my heart.
*Black pepper chicken
As the name goes was expecting this starter to be fiery and spicy but it wasn't the same when tasted it.Although the overall flavor was good.
*Volcano chicken
You might think there might be a lava oozing out of this dish when you get it but here its slightly different as its volcano of flavors bursting in your mouth as the delicious chicken coated with a yummy sauce and topped with a foamy egg white layer and sprinkled spring onions transforms you to the Chinese world totally.
Main course-
*Burmese Khow seuy
This is a traditional and the most popular Burmese dish that is relished all over.Steamed noodles sinked in a thick coconut based burmese style gravy with broccoli,carrots,and chicken cubes garnished with a boiled egg and served with the condiments [fried onion,fried garlic,peanuts,lemon wedges,spring onion and red chilli sauce.It was a refreshing change in terms of taste and texture and I enjoyed every bit of it.
*Thai green curry with steamed rice
A thick spinach based coconut flavored gravy topped with spinach leaves and cream served with steamed rice was a filling dish and even the flavors came out very well and the element of spinach totally elevated it.
*Pad thai noodles
Flat noodles tossed in with colored bell peppers,egg and chicken and completed with the hint of soy sauce.I liked these flat noodles as this version is found at limited places and that too u might doubt the taste but I thoroughly relished this one here.
*Nasi Goreng rice
Yet again I present you one more awsome dish which is actually an Indonesian fried rice.
It was mixed with colcorul veggies and chciken and tossed with spinach puree to give the distinct green color.
A hearty meal calls off for the desserts and how could we miss any of it here.

*Fried ice cream- A scoop of vanilla ice cream enveloped with a coconut and flour coating drizzled with chocolate sauce and topped with cashews was a different but yummilicious dessert.
*Daarsan with vanilla ice cream- Wheat sesame crispies sweetened with honey and topped with a tempting scoop of vanilla chocolate sauce drizzled ice cream.
combination of crunchy,soft and crisp flavors were amazing.

We were four friends and planning for lunch and one my friend suggest me to go to shanghai chef Gachibowli. We reached there, and I always look at the ambiance because it gives us positive vibes. The ambiance of Shanghai Chef was excellent, neat, and clean. Well-trained staff with their dress code were good to see.
We started our lunch with their special soups, crab meat soup, and drunken prawns soup. Both are new for me, but the crab meat soup was just mind-blowing the taste, and it was the first time I tried that soup, and we always say that the first impression is the last impression, and here the first impression was the best.
Then my friend ordered some starters volcano chicken, Phuket fish, dim sum basket, and oyster chicken. Volcano chicken was just lip-smacking, and this was the first starter dish we ordered, and it was only the best. The chicken was well cooked and top cover with egg and some veggies.
Then next we moved to their special dish that is Phuket fish.
I am, the seafood lover where ever I go I must try seafood but here the Phuket fish which I had was just out of the world I never tried fish like this really must recommend dish at shanghai chef.
Then we ordered some main courses. In the main course, we ordered Nasi goring nen, Thai curry, and phad Thai chicken. Overall the main course was excellent, and the best was nasi Goren nen and Thai curry.
The best part to end our lovely lunch with my bunch of friends was some desserts. My friend calls me a dessert boy because at every place I select the desserts. Here I ordered Fried ice cream and daarsan; both are my favorite desserts.
Lastly, I must say they gave us a good discount for corporate lunch, and this is a must-visit to enjoy with your family and friends.

This place is amongst the most popular Chinese restaurants in Hyderabad which serves very good quantity along with quality. It also offers authentic Thai & Burmese dishes as well. It is a go-to place for all and has a menu which caters to all kind of taste buds. They started from the restaurant located at Vinayak Nagar, Gachibowli and now one more outlet at Financial district & are coming up shortly with a third outlet. The restaurant is located in the most popular lane of Indiranagar Gachibowli, just above HDFC bank & they have done some interesting additions to their menu. The new items include starters as well as main courses. I had the chance of going to this place for trying out couple of these items on the menu. The new additions offer fresh choices to the fans of Chinese food in Gachibowli. The place is quiet popular among the young IT crowd in & around Gachibowli. The place can easily accomodate about 40-45 folks and is facing the Gachibowli Road for what ever its worth. Here's presenting the list of delicacies:
1. Volcano Chicken - Crispy spicy chicken in a Thai chilli and garlic sauce topped with egg white. This had different flavours when tasted with the egg white & without the egg white. The taste of both of which were equally good.
2. Phuket Fish - Fish coated with lots of finely chopped onions, ginger and garlic tossed up in soy sauce and chilli, thereby giving this dish a spicy yet flavourful touch. A tasty yet yummy dish not to be missed.
3. Black Pepper Chicken - Small chunks of chicken coated in black pepper & sauted with veggies. This was a bit blank in terms of flavour which can be improved with the combination of spices.
4. Assorted Dimsums - An amalgamation of Kothe, Shu Mai & Szechuan dumplings, all of which equally tasted well in terms of flavours.
5. Crab Meat Soup & Drunken Prawn Soup - Minced crab meat cooked in a thick spicy garlic flavoured soup which tasted absolutely marvellous. Prawn chunks cooked in a thick spicy garlic & spinach flavoured soup which tasted equally delicious.
6. Grass Hopper - A combination of Khush syrup, crushed litchi, dash of lime & topped with 7up.
7. Fall in Love - A combination of crushed strawberry, dash of lime with sugar syrup. This was the clear winner among the two beverages as it tasted so refreshing which can be also stated as a Pure Detox drink.
8. Burmese Khow Seuy - Steamed noodles with Burmese styled curry served with condiments. This dish instantly made us remember Goa as the taste of coconut milk in the curry was so rich and flavourful. Although the name of the dish is from different region altogether, the dish was simply a straight six.
9. Oyster Chicken - Chicken chunks cooked till perfection in authentic Hong Kong Oyster sauce.
10. Nasi Goreng Rice - Fluffy rice which was sauteed with assorted veggies with meat of your choice. This dish tasted awesome in terms of the flavours which were spinning around. A must try when at Shanghai Chef.
11. Thai Green Curry with Steamed Rice - Chicken chunks cooked in coconut milk, Green curry paste which was served with Steamed rice & tasted equally well. The flavours of the green curry & coconut milk popped out as soon as we ate it.
12. Phad Thai noodles - Flat Noodles sauteed with fresh veggies, peanuts and meat/seafood of your choice. This was one of the good Phad thai noodles I have tasted in Hyderabad.
After having such a start with some great entrees and delicious mains, it was the moment of truth wherein I was looking forward to the finale of the meal aka dessert & my meal is just incomplete without it. We were presented with some great & quite authentic dessert which fitted into the menu aptly. Here's presenting the list of desserts:
13. Chocolate Rush - A beverage consisting of Pineapple juice, chocolate sauce topped with vanilla ice cream.
14. Fried Ice cream - Breaded scoop of ice cream that was quickly deep fried thereby giving a warm, crispy shell around the chilly ice cream inside.
15. Daarsan with Vanilla ice cream - A Chinese snack which is mainly honey dipped chips was served with vanilla ice cream. This one instantly melted in our mouths and was a clear winner among the desserts served.
Overall, Shanghai Chef 2 restaurant situated in Gachibowli Hyderabad is a budget friendly restaurant and has lot of choices to try out in terms of authentic Asian delicacies.

This restaurant in Indiranagar, Gachibowli has the best standard and consistently serving good foods with best quality. We know Hyderabad for foods but outside almost everywhere we find foods are very oily and spicy. Shanghai chef has maintained very classy feel about Chinese and dishes are prepared with very care and love. One thing to mention like we see there are differences of quantity and quality when you order from a restaurant and you eat there. But I ordered multiple times from this place and always found like fresh from the kitchen. Just try dishes like dimsum, chicken sizzlers, 5 jewel fried rice, kung pao chicken, pad thai noodle etc! The hospitality of the owner and staffs are very professional and we'll behaved.
Food is very good. Good behaviour, ambience is also perfect for going with family and as couple also. Very good place. Authentic Chinese taste.

They have a wide range of food offering. Nothing much to talk about ambiance. I visited this place 2 times in a week. 1st time ordered a sizzler which was fantastic. 2nd time we had a chicken stater, soup and a american chopsuey. Soup and starter was good but sea food American Chopsuey was not good. Being a person from coastal area I can tell if sea food is fresh or not, and boy, the prawns were not fresh that is for sure. All and all its a causal dinning if you crave for some variety of Asian food.

I've been to Shanghai Chef 2 quite a few times now. Twice before Kobe Sizzlers moved in and once after. It has great staff and a wonderful ambience. It gets busy over the weekend and you might have to reserve a table beforehand. Their sizzlers are wonderful and they have a great set of starters. I would suggest you try them over the main course.

This place is amazing! The food is really tasty, especially the chef recommended. The owner, Suhail, is very courteous and professional. He suggested some great stuff to try and customised the food as per our requirements.
Shanghai Chef has always been the place to go for Chinese fast food. They have a good choice of menu and the food is great. I highly recommend having the crab fried rice and the diced chicken in oriental sauce. America’s chopsuey is equally tasty.
This is one go to place for us for authentic Chinese food and it does always stand by my expectation.
We have visited it in past and have always loved the food.
This time we tried some nice salt and pepper vegetable starter which was okish..as I found it to be a little bland..( that's why there is one less star).
We tried Veg Manchow soup which was amazing.
Khao Soi was the main dish we ordered and was again bang on.
Ambiance is pretty much simple yet nice.

It is a good restaurant for Chinese food in Gachibowli.we did order food and starters from here and loved the quality and quantity. The staff were all friendly n ambience was decent. Only problem was that their card swipe machine was not working.but overall a good experience in Hyderabad n will visit again to have Chinese food in the landof biriyani.
A very cosy outlet for some delicious Chinese indulgence in the city of Hyderabad. The place is ideal for fulfilling the cravings for delicious Chinese food.
The portions were quite good also the dumplings were pretty impressive. Though the wait time was a bit too long, but overall we had a good time.

A Value for Money place serving good quality Chinese / Thai food
Location : above Airtel office , Vinayak nagar, Gachibowli food court
Ambiance : Well maintained, clean , neat and tidy
Service : Needs improvement, language and comprehending the waiter was very difficult, had to call the manager to place the order. When we received our order we asked him to put the dish down so that we can take a pic and then serve us, he left never to come back , we served ourselves and finished it 10 min and there was no sign of him.
Food: No complaints on this aspect. had ordered black pepper prawns which turned out to be good and flavorful , the garnishments were a little extra than I hoped but overall it was good.
as we were not that hungry we directly went to dessert and ordered fried ice cream and date pan cake with ice cream .
Fried ice cream had a little extra coconut zing to it on the outer coating otherwise it was fine.
Date pancake was made just perfectly , not too crisp & not too soggy , was able to cut it into two pieces and have it with the ice cream easily.
Looking at the entire menu and the items they serve , it is cheaper than most places, fresh lime soda for example is Rs.50 which is rarely available at this price at good upmarket Chinese or Indian outlets for that matter
I have been there with my Friends and brother. this place offers very good chinese food and ambiance to sit and talk. However this can be heavy on some individuals pocket.
If you are a person who likes to talk and express them self and want to hear from others. you should vist this place.
