Al-Baik is a popular name from KSA. Not sure if it's from the KSA but by the look of it's logo, I assume it is a branch from there, as it is a copyrighted trademark of original al-baik creators.
Now coming to the food, you can't compare any Indian food with the quality of KSA food. They both are very different in terms of quality and taste, so comparing Al-Baik of KSA to the Indian branch is unfair comparison.
But yes, you can compare it with the fellow Indian fried chicken restaurants such ask KFC.
What we order was straight meal and had a takeaway of super meal which was recommended by the cashier.
The chicken strips were superb in taste, much better than the KFC fried chicken and the dip sauce were lip smackingly amazing.
The combination of chicken and sauce was such a delight to feat on.
On the other hand, French fries were terrible in taste. They were not crispy enough and were very bad in taste and were small in size. The coke we got was very hot, instead of satisfying the thirst, it increased it more and we weren't able to enjoy the meal.
Coming to the experience, it wasn't a pleasant time here. The place was like a haunted place, It was empty. The moment I enter, I was confused whether is it open or close? There was only one person at the counter, he was very friendly and polite.
The service here is extremely slow and the waiting time here is killing.
The place is so huge but it is never crowded. Separate family section is available on the first floor.
Main drawback here is the price of the foods which is highly unfair at the quality provided and they charge high taxes on food.
Concluding my review with a little bit of comparison with KFC.
At KFC, you have lots of varieties to choose from but in the case of Al-Baik, you get limited menu.
They both charge taxes but Al-Baik is little unfair at it.
KFC has much better ambience and service.
Al-Baik needs to improve in many departments and needs to be active in promotion.
For those people who think this is a fake franchise of al baik, this ones for you...
The al baik, Hyderabad is a franchise of al baik egypt and syria...
and not of the al baik, saudi arabia...
My experience over here was good and the service was prompt...
Overall a good place with good seating area and ambience... will surely visit again...!!!
I found this place on Zomato during my recent visit to Hyderabad. I had heard alot about Al baik from my friends who are frequent travellers in the middle east. In the silent street of abids, this place has a big hoarding outside to spot on. I entered this place around 4 as i had missed my lunch due to workload. Al baik has a very big seating capacity with ground floor and first floor seating available. It was completely empty when i entered, so empty that no one was also there at the cash counter😂. There were argument upon the branch authentication of being a branch from KSA.I read it in one of the reviews, about the authenticity of this branch from KSA. So i crossed checked about it with Mohammad the cash sales person, he provided me a answer with Yes! This is the branch from KSA. I wanted to have the sheesh toak which is their special burger but unfortunately it was unavailable, this is the reason for a low 3.5. I then forcefully had the Chico broast burger and chicken nuggets with pepsi. The burger was too good crispy chicken inside with some good sause did the trick along with the yummy nuggets. Make sure you have a pepsi to calm your nervous it is a must with the burger😍.
great food at an really affordable prize...amazing service.Food delivery is free with in 2.5 km of vincity.Overall it was a great experience..!!
Taste was awesome @ abids but only thing servic pretty bad
It is good . Liked the dip .
Similar taste like Al-Baik in Saudi Arabia
The only difference in Hyderabad and Saudi Arabia Branch is
(In Saudi - Half Chicken (4 Pieces, 2 Garlic Sauce, 1 Bun, 2 Ketchup, 1 Wet Tissue - 12 SR) (Rs: 192, No Taxes - 1 Person) (4 Persons - Rs: 768)
(In Hyderabad - (12 Pieces, 5 Garlic Sauce, 5 Bun, 10 Ketchup, 1 Coke 1 Ltr, 2 Rice, 2 Medium Fries - Rs: 910 - Incl. Taxes) (4 Persons)
Al Baik worth of it. Personal experience better hygenic than KFC.
Al Baik (Spicy, Not greasy, Limited Oil, Halal)
KFC (Spicy but Not as Hyderabadi type of, Totally greasy, Too much oil, Not sure of Halal)
Worth trying Al Baik. Am sure you all gonna Loving it :)
This AL BAIK is replica of the very popular brand based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The original AL BAIK in Jeddah has literally crushed its competitors like KFC. Anyways not writing a review for the original AL BAIK.
This AL BAIK is a based in EGYPT, they have copied the name, logo (minor differences) and the taste too. Though the taste isn't same. Prices are similar to KFC. The taste would be similar to KFC but not better. Enough parking isn't available, can be a problem on weekends.
The ambiance is typical of a fast food restaurant, no frills. Its not a must try, but serves decent fried chicken.
Great pricing, Juicy chicken, Yum to taste.. Could do with more outlets though! The only (and biggest) down is it beats the purpose of fast food having almost an hour long wait everytime you go there esp after 9 PM! But then maybe it is that damn good!
