Most visited family dining! Never goes wrong and they serve great food
Having breakfast here since decades and vada and idly are one of the best in the twin cities. Vfm and food is readily available.
Amazing and lovely food
I have ordered two Masala Dosa online
The packaging is awesome and lovely
Chutney & Sambar are at next level
Crispness in dosa is well maintained even though it took 25 mins to reach me
Very good dosa for evening time or breakfast
The best dosas in town I must say...really crispy n tasty ...and the chutney dips there are not to leave ...
I also tried their idlis and poori which was also above average
But 5/5 for service and the chutneys...
One of the old and well known restaurant for South Indian dishes. Best place to have breakfast and lunch. As they serve best sambar and chutney. Idly and dosa are famous of Sandarshini. Pocket friendly. Anyone travelling in cabs can easily walk in.
I would suggest this place to everyone who reads this review
The food was great. Especially the cheese mushroom dosa and noodles. They had a variety of breakfast options accompanied with different chutneys.
Staff was quick and ambience was average.
Had recently opted for takeaway from this place- Tried idli and set dosa-We liked the food a lot-the idli was soft-set dosa, Chutney and Sambar was tasty too-Overall on a scale of 5, taste is 4.5 and value for money 3.5!
Best for breakfast ,food is clean, pocket friendly and they severe tasty sambar and chutney truly people from karnataka who miss the real sambar taste and budget friendly don't mis out this place fir clean and tasty food and tummy filling .
Cost with Rs.100 a breakfast for 2 will be done .
What more one wants when truly hungry and budget a big thought .
Must try set dosa they are real yummy .
Idli are real soft and sambar ..Can't stop having ended up taking 2 cups full .And licking chutney .
Was hungry so dint take pics
Visited many times famous for tiffins and veg snacks food is tasty, ambience is ok,idli sambar ,Gobi manchuria is must try main problem is parking
Tried their veg thali and it was decent. Ambience is not so great, service is good. Whenever you need some decent south Indian food you can depend this place.
if you want to have a tasty south indian break fast you can have it here at Sandarshini! The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. the service here is really amazing.
The Executive thali is very good and just enough for me with the right combination of other curries provided. They always maintain the consistency in their quality of food. A must try!
This place has to get 5 stars.. they have amazing South Indian dosas at a very cheap rate.. chutneys and Minerva are very high rated.. you can get the same, actually better stuff in Sandarshini at a very cheaper rates.. I love their masala dosa.. the only thing you don’t get are the different variety of chutneys..
I always love this place for its unique taste of the food, if you really want to try out the breakfast for a change, I would suggest this place be it idly, wada, keesari or poori anything for that matter and the most important thing is that maintaining the consistency is one of the key element which made me turn to be a big fan to this place
Fresh food#superb taste#quick serve
I never get disappointed at this place. Great place to have veg items like Idly, Dosa, Puri and other items. Good ambiance and courteous staff. Tea is super. Kids love ice-cream. Good place to visit with family and friends.
Visiting it since childhood. You get the best Tiffin's here. Be it idly, bonda, vada or the newly added dosa's to the menu. Everything here tastes yummy 😍
Better take it away coz the place is usually crowded and little place to sit.
My go-to place for breakfast! One of the very few hotels which serves south Indian breakfast in the area of Masab Tank and I can say..it's the best in this area! They never compromise on the quality. My favourite dishes are Palak dosa, Masala dosa, Rava masala dosa and poori sabji.
A decent place for South Indian food. Tiffin's are decent and the South Indian meal thali is also fulfilling and affordable. The ambience is okay okay.
Had an early morning craving for some street food kind of things. Went out to this amazing place on Road no 1 Banjara Hills.
Took home some poori sabzi n vadas plus had their amazing Chai too.
Let me tell u, the best poori n sabzi I hv had in Hyderabad. It was soft n tasty plus the sabzi was really delicious n mildly spiced. The nariyal chatni along was also awesome. Non spicy n tasty. The vadas were again very soft n light and loved the chutney n sambhar too. The dosas n idly too looked really good n people were enjoying it.
Even on a Sunday morning the place was full n you cud imagine the taste just by looking at the satisfied faces of people as they relished each morsel. The place is not to look for interiors or decor but to admire the cuisine n enjoy the meal. The service was really sharp n crisp n u cud not help but admire the skill they showed in patching the stuff. Great to watch.
And yes, don't miss the chai. It's awesome and it the weather is beautiful as it was today, have it standing outside the shop watching the city go by.
Great experience. Surely recommended to get go there n get things packed. Very light on ur pocket too. Great value for money.
Really great place for breakfast. Their uttapam is the best with onions and coconut. Their quantity is also very wholesome. Their coconut chutney is yumm and really great to taste.
Sandarshini hotel is only for vegetarians, comming ambience it's average but you will get varieties of Tiffin's and they gonna charge a bit more(not too high also).Main course is type of ok (good).Too much expectations on this sandarshini disappoints you.
We were very hungry so we stopped in this shop and had parcel of idlis.
The idlis were yummy and the size were really too big.
The chutneys n sambhar were also delicious.
A place you must visit if u r in hyderabad.
Not many varieties in vegetarian but the taste of anyone of them gets you back again. Capsicum pakoda tastes good and must be tasted. Little crowded.
Even if you are hardcore non veggie from inside there are some south Indian cells in your body that crave for some authentic south indian style IDLI n Dosas. Its one of the oldest players in the business but is not famous as some other late night bundis because of its strict timings and authentic recipes which makes them prepare dosas very much plain. As this place is near my house and serves the best dosas in its class it made me review this place. Their butter dosa, button idli, puri are the best you can have here. they even have gulab jamuns for deserts which are just okay👌.
Sandarshini is a good hotel. I have had breakfast here many times and the experience has been good.
Ground floor is self service and is maintained clean and neat.
First floor is air conditioned and I have mostly dined here. The floor has a smell which is typical of a place where windows have not been opnened for a long time. I do not like the smell. However, 10 mins later it doesnt seem to bother me.
The floor is spacious and there are enough seats. Except for that smell, the ambience is good. I feel with little effort they can improve the ambience.
Breakfast is quite good here. I have had plain/masala dosa, set dosa, vada, puri. All these items are good. Bonus is the four varieties of unlimited chutney which is placed on the table. Chutnies are of very good quality and taste.
I am yet to try their lunch/dinner thalis.
The service is very good. I would easily recommend this place as a good breakfast option.
Been here multiple times for breakfast and the taste never changed..!! This is the oldest one in this area..
I like puri and dosa here which are pretty good....

I have been going to this place for years, never disappointed me. From breakfast to night thalis it has got an offering for all meals. My personal favorite is their veg pulao and paratas
My regular morning breakfast/coffee place. Does provide dosa's with less/no oil on request. Nice Coffee! Chutneys and sambar not too spicy.
While I was looking for a normal place for a quick lunch saw Hotel Sandarshini Near Masab Tank. The ambiance was pleasant and the hotel looked very neat.Even though the hotel looked small, the seats were very well arranged giving a spacious look.
ordered Ginger Paneer and Dhum Biriyani. The Ginger Paneer was crispy with the flavors of ginger and other spices blending so well giving it an amazing taste.Dhum Biriyani smelled very good and was very tasty.
The dishes were served in good quantity and the cost is very pocket friendly.Service is quick.
For all vegetarians out there,I recommend you guys to try this place. This is a perfect place which gives you complete satisfaction.

Sandarshini is an awesome place for tiffins. The place started small and now it's buzzing almost all the time. That's a testament to how good it is. The sambar vada is a class apart and the dosas are well made. The sambar is really good. The Chinese and north Indian additions are also good. On the whole a very good restaurant which gives you value for money.
Hotel Sandarshini is located at Masab Tank main road Hyderabad n opp to Agra Sweet masab tank Hyderabad... They serve amazing south Indian breakfast... Today morning went to Banjrahills while returning stop here for breakfast ambiance is gud.. Order...
Idly
Tea n Coffee
Idly is so soft n serve with coconut chutney, ginger chutney n sambar is delicious
Tea is gud but too strong
Coffee is gud n refreshing loved it..
Have been going to sandarshini my school days, n I never ever had a bad day here... The dosas r so nice n crisp... The cheese dosa is a must try here, other than this, Paneer cheese dosa, mushroom cheese dosa, mysore masala dosa are good options... Wada n upma r good too... I've come here in the evening only once n had gobi manchuria, which was good enough...
The best part is I've never been disappointed by coming here...
This is my stop over for a quite breakfast if im passing by that area.
On the main road of masab tank opp to agra sweets its located..
I love their idly its soft and tasty and the samber is really nice ..
One more thing i love is the upma which just melts in your mouth..
A good udupi tiffin center...
I lost count of the number of times I picked up breakfast from Sandarshini when I used to stay in Masab Tank. The fact that I lost count is a testament in itself to the amazing tiffins they serve here ( I have a very good memory :P).
I recently happened to visit their ac restaurant for lunch. The food is absolutely delicious. The paneer dishes are a must try here, I would personally recommend the Kaju Paneer. All the dishes taste delicious and are served in a good quantity. Your whole meal won't feel heavy on your pocket and you will more than just satisfied.
The ambience and the staff are decent. Great value for money.
If you are broke and need some delicious food, this is the place to go to.
I have been a regular to this place and always loved the place, with every visit the food and the service has outdone my previous visits, courteous staff and good ambience, the only thing that can be an issue would be the parking for four wheelers, because its located on the main road of masab tank they dont have a proper parking zone for cars.
Food and taste is very authentic and would be appreciated by all the south indian cusine lovers. Everything is good on the menu starting from idly , dosa, wada to puri etc,,,,
I love the allam(ginger) chutney what they serve with idly & wada

It's one of a hidden gem if you're looking for delicious south Indian food. Also, their takeaway is packed and placed so nicely that you're food stays warm and as it is until you get back home and relish it.
Wow from day 1 in Hyderabad, best north indian, dosas, south Indian n best veg biryani in Hyderabad. It's value for money. You will never go disappointed from this restra. I always been to sandarshni and recommended to many....

One place for south Indian breakfast in the mornings. They have tiffin, meals and Chinese as well. The paper dosa is one thing that's a must try in this place. The problem is the pricing from the a/c and the non a/c.
Okay so the paper dosa should be tried here, they're a good place for a South Indian breakfast.
The negative is the utter discrimination in pricing and service from their ac and non ac section!!!
Sandarshini it is one of the chain of Karnataka state.here The Rawa dosa is very famous...other than this u cn try idli, set dosa, wada and the curd rice..Ambience is ok type.service is quick.self service token system is provided.seperate family section is also available..parking facility is not available little congested its on the main road.
Must try once.
We ended up here by luck.In search of some fruit juice we landed here and discovered the owner is a kannadiga and since we were still hungry after breakfast we tried the bullet idly here. The fruit juice is not their strength but the bullet idly was perfection.Served in a bowl and floating like lifeboats in the sambar they were perfect in texture.Praise must be made of the sambar which had great texture, flavour and lotsa onions. That too from me who is a sambar cynic. I think its very rare to find a good sambar n i have been proved right all my life. But this one, just couldnt stop hogging. A pearl in hyderabad for sure if you are looking for good old udupi style food.
A nice to place to have a south indian breakfast. Service is fast as it is a self service restaurant. The food tastes really good. The only negative point is ambience.
Amazing South Indian breakfast... Butter Masala dosa, sambhar, chutney and a filter coffee...its a great start to your day... Very reasonably priced and good service..
Have been to Hotel Sandarshini serval times as I feel it's the Best Place to have Hot Hot idli or then crispy dosa etc. But today I tried there Mini Thali, it's cost is 70/- in which they give 1 Bowl Rice + 1 Wheat mix maida Roti + 1 Mix Veg Dry + Kesar Halwa + Dal + Rasam + 1 Veg Curry + Curd + 1 Papad. It was the first time ever I finished the entire Thali as all the items were very tasty and even the curd was nice sweet and I didn't need to add sugar to it. It's quite filling and enough for 1 person. Ambience is pleasant and very kool. It's a must visit place if you are in Masab Tank Area.
Sandarshini Dosa is one of the Best Dosa
Great place if you are craving for vegetarian food. Ambience is quite good for family gatherings as well as a quick eat. Service is above average. Food is great. Good variety in dosas.
Have visited this place for first time as my friend suggested. The ambience was good. Had schezwan masala dosa and wasnt expecting that it would be soo good and tasty .. Was fully satisfied but the parking place is problematic. It doesn't have good space to park vehicles. Rest all is good :D
I just returned home from having one of the BEST traditional vegetarian breakfasts in Hyderabad at this absolutely amazing restaurant and it goes without saying, this has now become one of my favourite breakfast joints in the city!
I had been to this previously a couple of times before but wasn't really impressed primarily because I did not know what to order so had ordered some random stuff like Special Dosa, etc. But this time around it was different because I had a really experienced friend with me who suggested we go to this place again. He apparently knew what a hardcore non-veg person like me should buy there.
Ambience: This is a neat and well organized pure veg restaurant which can occupy around 25 people (seats around 14) and has a fairly large and hygienic kitchen. Unlike other similar restaurants, the workers there do not wear clothes that look as they've been wearing the same shirt for a week. The place is bustling with life till around 10 am whilst still maintaining a sense of calm.
The Food: We (the three of us) ordered three plain masala dosas first as my knowledgeable friend suggested. The food was ready in about 5-10 minutes. One word: Awesomeness! The dosa was evenly thick and crispy enough and the potato masala inside was cooked to perfection. It was pretty warm but not too warm. The chutney/sambar were delicious as well especially the coconut one. It was large enough to satisfy us but we wanted something else as we were absolutely famished! Next, one of my friends ordered a plate of Puris and while the other ordered Sambar Vada, I got excited to see Tomato/Mushroom/Cheese/Paneer omelette on the menue and forgetting that it was a veg restaurant, ordered one tomato omelette and one cheese omelette. The omelettes took another 10 minutes to arrive but the vadas and puris were ready within 5. There was 3 medium sized puris in one plate but they were a bit dry. The taste however, was fine but not excellent. There were 2 HUGE vadas floating in a big bowl of Sambar. The Vadas had perfect texture and color: Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. However I felt they were a slightly salty but tasted better when dipped in the coconut chutney. That seemed to lower the saltiness. The Sambar was very hot and delicious as well. Finally, my 'omelette' arrived and to my dismay, I found out that it actually was utappam! But then again, it was my mistake that I expected a proper egg omelette in a veg restaurant in Hyderabad. My disappointed soon changed to happiness after we dug into the soft and hot omelettes. They blew me away! The cheese omelette was topped with loads of real mozzarella cheese and the tomato omelette was epic as well. Both of them had this cold piece of chopped tomato and shredded carrot on the in the center which created a lovely contrast in flavors and textures. They were served with 3 very special dips: A special kind of adrak (ginger) chutney, coconut chutney and Sambar. All of this combined was more than enough to satisfy our appetites. A well mannered worker came and courteously took away the plates after we were done eating. Please do note that they do not have cold drinks or bottled water. They do however serve hot tea and bournvita and maybe even coffee.
Value for money: Given the price tag, the food was well worth the money and weren't in the least disappointed. Very affordable.
The Verdict: Yes, I would definitely love to visit this place again and probably would do so quiet often given the fact that it's just 2 kilometers away from my home. Despite being a non-veg person it never felt as if I was missing out on something (as it usually does whenever I eat veg).
A quick tip: Do not make the mistake of parking your car in front of the restaurant. Park it in the lane right next to the restaurant and you'll be fine. We made the mistake of not reading the no-parking sign and almost had our car towed away by a traffic policeman.
God knows from when, Sandarshini has been a weekend breakfast place for my South Indian Food loving family, and my friends. Even when I started working and living alone, me and my friends would flock this place dressed in weekend track-pants and chappals, looking for 'take away' comfort food! If you have never been to a Sandarshini before, it's not very hard to miss. They are everywhere. Almost every locality seems to have a Sandarshini nestled in its corner. If you enter this place on a weekday you will usually see busy men in formal pants and tucked in shirts with rolled up sleeves, standing around tall tables and eating their meals at express speed! On weekends, you will see bachelors in bermuda shorts and flip-flops, ordering a lazy meal to take home.
I've never really sat down and eaten a meal here, because of it's overbearing population of male clientele which can be a little intimidating. But I have taken parcels from here several times, and I can vouch for each one of those parcels. I highly recommend their 'Paneer Cheese Dosa', 'Cheese Mushroom Dosa', and 'Neer Dosa' which is served with a sweet coconut chutney. My sisters, who are big fans of south indian food, swear by their 70mm dosa. Each of them sits at one end of the dosa, and there's always a fight to the finish (god knows why they don't just order 2 separate dosas instead!!)
I have also heard a lot about their 'Talipettu' and 'Onion Uttapam' are really good. Their 'South Indian Meals' of course are legendary, and if your stomach is feeling the familiar pull of hunger mixed with the desire for traditional tastes, I would highly recommend their 'Thali' or 'Meals'. They have Chinese and North Indian varieties on their menu as well, but I would recommend that you steer clear of these, unless you want to eat a 'South Indianised version' of 'Chole Bhature' or 'Paneer Butter Masala'.
A couple of funny things on their menu which I just had to pint out -- They serve 'Bournvita', 'Horlicks', and 'Boost' in case your childhood habit of drinking these die hard. For their tea time, they have a section on the menu which says 'Hot Hot Snacks', the double 'Hot' strongly intensifying the temperature of the snacks by written word alone :P And finally, they have an Ice-cream called 'Gad Bad Ice cream' which I have always wanted to try (for the sake of experiment) but somehow have always missed.
If you do happen to eat here, and have a stomach that can take some 'Gad Bad Ice-cream', please try it and let me know what it's all about. I am overtly curious!
Bon Appetite!
Sandarshini is a decent tiffin center located on the masab tank road. It was my daily stop for morning Tiffin's almost for 15 months before I moved to Bangalore/Bengaluru. They never changed the style of making and serving on time.
You don't have a seating section the typical Tiffin center style, but no complains as you need not wait for more than 5-7 mins to get served. You can see your Tiffin's made right in front of you in a jiffy.
I had every variety of tiffin they made. My most favourite tiffins are sambar Idly which comes with idly in a bowl with full of piping hot sambar, one must try this if they visit here. Set dosa (I call it Indianized pancake) is very tasty and it is really tough for one person to have it. Butter Masala Dosa is too harsh for a calorie cautions folks to resist. Puri is humongous and served with spicy mixed veg curry.
Later they also added an A/c section on the first floor. Here they serve good South and North Indian Thalis which are very good and tasty. Best part of this place is you get everything fresh and in my entire experience I never had any complain on the quality of food.
Only down side is the glasses are not kept clean like any other tiffin center, so kindly fetch bottled water for good health. Pricing is very nominal. Parking is an issue.
Anyone staying in and around this area can happily have good tiffins and thalis here with complete satisfaction (for both Tummy and Pocket).

Hi, I am a frequent visitor to this hotel from 1996. The hotel cleanliness is ultimate, very nice ambience, with all my scale, I would rate it very good to Excellent. Coming to Food, which is really good a must try category. It is hygienic, tasty. Design and clusters of the dining are good, I wont say it excellent. Still the tables are kept such a way that you wont bothered too much by others around. Service from housekeeping is extremely important to ensure the customer delight in the hospitality front, in which they scored really Excellent. They are fast, polite, which is really impressive. I find this not just once, multiple time and it remain consistent. Over all its a fantastic every time. I will surely recommend this hotel if you wanna give it a try.
Really good food and pooris texture and taste really too good
Nys ambience in the a/c portion. Been there quite a lot of times. South indian food is goood.
they're restaurant experience is better as you get coconut chutneys compared to a run down version of it downstairs. love their onion uttapam. they don't serve Pongal which is a big minus. 4 wheeler parking is difficult. two wheelers are easily accommodated. they have fruit juice and tea/ filter coffee kiosks as well.
One of the oldest restaurant, located at road no 12, nanjara hills. Tiffins r very delicious neat & clean also. Sufficient space to sit & enjoy
Amazing and lovely food
I have ordered two Masala Dosa online

Chutney & Sambar are at next level
Crispness in dosa is well maintained even though it took 25 mins to reach me
Very good dosa for evening time or breakfast
Also buy it through food apps for huge discounts and free delivery
On swiggy you'll get maximum discount
Had the most amazing food ever. Would recommend everyone to try it atleast once
One must definitely try their Masala Dosa with a little butter on top. I have been visiting this place for more than a decade, their service and taste are quite authentic.
clean restaurent, hygienic food and well maintained veg restaurent at kasab tank. It's prices are a bit expensive and keeps on growing which the owners should take in consideration. Otherwise everything is very good
Good place to grab a quick breakfast and good place to be with family. The food is equally good matched with service given by the staff. Tried dosa and mysoor bajji loved it
One of the oldest tiffin centers in Masab tank area still serves the yummiest breakfast in reasonable prices. The staff here is very friendly and the cleanliness they maintain is top notch. This has been my go to place for breakfast every other weekend from the past 10+ years which proves that the taste and quality has never changed through the years. I have come here many times with my family, friends and office colleagues and everyone just loved the variety they offered and how each of the dishes they served were lip smacking and quantity wise also quiet good. Do visit this place to try their yummy breakfast as well as the South Indian thalis.
NO other dosa can beat dosa from sandarshini.absolutely love it.
A good vegetarian restaurant with a wide variety of items on the menu. Prices are reasonable, and the ambiance and service is good.
