Lamakaan is a charming space with a very interesting personality. Even without a major business at hand to keep yourself busy, you can spend hours here observing interesting people that inhabit the place, on a day to day basis. The events that the place hosts come from well known teams and individuals to amateurs.
I have watched plays to stand ups to musical and dance performances to documentary screening and live chats with artists, and I have always gone back home tremendously satisfied.

This used to be one my favourite places during the college days.
The ambience is so peaceful. The building is surrounded with trees and give you a great outdoor seating experience.
They serve comfort food like lemon rice , chai , samosas , chicken gravy with roti and more.
The food is amazing in quality and quantity and the prices are highly affordable.
What an absolute beauty this place is. Used to come here for group studies. You can sit and spend time for hours together and get your work done or even just chill. It's a non profit organization so very cheap and affordable. Their samosas are a must try.

Such a cute cafe for really simple and yummy food at very affordable price. Anyone craving for simple homemade food can visit this place. This place is known for their tea, coffee and snacks. They also serve lunch and breakfast with different menu every single day.

I happened to visit this place on a Sunday for Google local guides meet-up.
As it was sunday, the place was crowded.
The ambience of this place is very vibrant.
Its like getting a seat in someone's bungalow.
They have a stage also in the backyard, which is quite spacious along with the outdoor seating.
Basically, this place is always packed with n no. of events taking place back to back.
Coming to food, I didn't taste it but can say the food is typical college canteen style, cheap and best.
The rates of the food items are very economical.
Probably the next time I would spend more time here.

Ideal place to visit when in group because it is very pocket friendly and with just 200rs each you can fill your stomach. The dahi vada, samosa and bread omelette were best. Nimbu pani could have been better. One of the guy working there was really rude or else this place is solid 5.

Lamakaan has the best food quality wise and the best price. The lime juice is worth trying. It has the perfect amount of sourness and salt it in. It is very refreshing and hydrating during the summer season. The sprouts are also one of the favourites. It has raw chana and moong dal with their sprouts. With shredded carrot and chopped onion perfect healthy snack. And tasts amazing! Love it!

Talking about the food. We ordered buttermilk, lassi, chai, veg sandwich, roti, rajma, rice, dahiwada and samosa. The food was very homely and earthy.
Samosa stole the show and to be more specific, the red chutney was extraordinary. It was so freaking good.

A great cultural place in the heart of the city. The chilly fritters here is a must try. A lot of events like Write club, Dance theater, Musical nights happen here.
I am visit this place once in every weekend and it really feels good to have chai and samosa they serve. Even if i am not hungry or not feel like having anything also, I feel like going there are sit there for some time to feel the good vibes that the people that come there shares and obviously if I sit here I’ll feel like having something and I’ll have the usual chai and samosa or the samosa, bajji and bonda combo! Many kinds of people come here like to read, to write, to chat, just to eat. Sometimes, mostly on second Saturday’s some gigs will be happening here. I am not really a fan of sweet and salt lemonade but sometimes used have it here. I really nice you guys serve the sweet lemonade also!

From what I heard about this space, yes there are many events which are always happening here which in my opinion is great! The vibe which I got was really cool and relaxing. One can really visit here and enjoy some quality time with friends or even with themselves...I spent my time sketching.
Now the food, yeah as I read about this...yes it is super cheap and delicious.
Although we were not able to try the main courses as we visited during their snack time, but the snacks were pretty great too. And being a chai person I loved the tea they served.

Lamakaan is like a social venue for people to get together and express their views. Coming to the most important topic of this review is the food which is quite good. They offer typical Hyderabadi snacks and meals. Tea and samosas are their bestsellers which give a run for their money. All of their is very homely and are made with care. I personally don't like their prefer their tea which is really subjective. their samosas and other snacks are a total win win as they're superb in taste and quality, they're extremely affordable too. All the beverages taste fresh and refreshing. Their mutton qeema, chicken curry, paneer masala and other main course items are rich in flavour without being too spicy and also have a great texture.
Overall, this is a must visit place in Hyderabad and when you visit you'll understand what a hidden beauty Lamakaan is.

After all the buzz I'd heard about this place I decided to pay a visit. At around 10 am a Saturday I walked in to Lamakaan to find all tables occupied.
The crowd here was an amalgamation of teen college goers to senior citizens relaxing with a cup of tea and a newspaper. Students working on projects and highschool kids with backpacks.
A run down Villa, with rustic feels. Slightly uncomfortable hardwood benches and chairs littered around the venue with both outdoor and indoor seating available.
The self service was a minor inconvenience but the prices more than make up of it. Perhaps not the classiest place; devoid of any glamour and anything but posh. But Lamkaan mesmerized me with it's simplicity.
A cup of hot kadak chai and some samosas later I was thankful to the owners of this humble eatery because Hyderabad really needs places like these.
The aloo samosas were hot, flakey, and perfectly spiced. Served with a spicy sweet chilli dip, they had me munching away wiith zeal.
I'd recommend this for anyone and everyone for anything and everything. The open cultural space also has a theatre area that i didn't get a chance to experience. But the idea behind the eatery is a darn good one. Hopefully Hyderabad will see many such places. Kudos!

The best place ever. 😍 Its my favourite place of all time. You can just take 40rs and stuff so much that you cannot walk. The omelette, samosa, bread omelette, keema with rice are really good.
Amazing place. I used to frequent here back in the day. Now it's changed a bit (read: more commercial), but it still got its charm. The crowd also seems a little different these days. However, the quality of snacks and chai/coffee hadn't changed at all. Loads of folks around on weekends; including cops.. I wonder why..
On reaching the place, I was pretty startled to see a small duplex house. I went there for a meeting and didn't know about the food there. I saw the menu later and complained about the number of items on it. I ordered mutton kheema for lunch and aaah! the taste still lingers in my head. I got my maa ke haath ka kheema just for 80 bucks! Later the lassi that I had and a sip of nimbu pani from my friend's glass made my day ♥️

very crucial public space. pocket friendly menu. lively art crowd comes to hang out here everyday. interesting events every day. we are fortunate to have such a public space in our neighborhood!
Amazing quaint little non profit space that would definitely remind you of college days. It's an old residence converted into performing art centre, they also serve tea/ coffee or basic breakfast and lunch at very cheap prices. The aim is more towards bringing together art and culture within the space rather than focusing on the profits. Great place to just chill on a weekend/ weekday.

I visited for the workshop. You can attend many activities there ..you can check schedule on their website. Samosa chutney is great. Very different. Best place to hang out with group of friends and think of ideas n content creation too.
Peaceful, affordable place at Banjara Hills'. It was a pleasant surprise in this noisy, polluted city. The water, toilets, and charging options made it a complete experience. It was the perfect place to think, write, sketch, discuss, and start living our dream.

You can work out of here during the day. Ample tables and charging point inside the building. But during the lunch and dinner hour, the place gets crowded and one might get asked not to use it.
