I have been dying to go to ankapur and try out the world famous chicken curry but have not been able to till now. I was so happy to see a place serving authentic ankapur chicken recipe(if that is what it is called). I love telugu cuisine, the heat, the spice, takes food to another level. Tried the chicken curry with bagara rice and man it was amazing. I cant compare it to the original place coz i havent been there but the dish in itself was worth it. Also loved their mutton curry, cant recommend the biryani though. Was below average.

Good quality but very spicy, yes one can always tell them to keep the spice according to one's liking ! There is lots of variety so we can always check the whole menu and order according to our requirements and occasion. Most of the dishes come in parcel of minimum one kg...egg dish on menu looks great for the price. Order generally needs to placed at least 45 mins prior. And yes only take away.

Ordered for third time today, chicken curry - boiler, quantity and taste was good but again too spicy even after telling them to make it less spicy. Ordered online from online food delivery app, got a good discount.

its like oasis in dessert for people dying for pakka local village style spicy non veg curries.i have tasted country chicken and broiler chicken.both were excellent.
have to appreciate them for their honesty in providing 1 kg quantity and cooking fresh after you order.chicken was always fresh and quality of the chicken they use was superb😍😍😀😀
as i said their style of cooking is coconut gravy based(if i am not wrong) and people who are used to cream based curries might not like it.

Ordered both country chicken curry and dry on 2 different occasions. Although a tad too spicy, which personally I don't mind, both were well cooked and tasted good. Decent for the price. Would serve about 3 people easily.

Ordered Country Chicken Fry from here and loved it. But a bit overpriced and lots of bones. Great taste and aroma. High spice levels so may not be palatable to all. Pakka telangana style country dish and people who like spicy and tasty chicken gonna love it. Deducting 1 star as they charge separate tax (38rs) online but if you go pick it up yourself from restaurant, you won't be levied with any taxes. Strange!!

Very good place for authentic telangana food. We tried ankapur chicken gravy, broiler chicken fry and dry roast, egg gravy.. Among them ankapur chicken gravy and chicken dry roast were extraordinary.
A good place for takeaway food. Try their Natu Kodi Dry, it goes well with Rice and Daal. The staff response is good and courteous and they even have home delivery. I enjoy their food except the fish and order frequently. They have maintained their quality and taste and it's a good option for a family of four or a group of college friends who wish to feast within an affordable range.
Its really worthy to wait 1 hr to taste freshly cooked food at home. I really enjoyed the meal combo with my family on last Sunday its like small food party with multiple items like Ankapur chicken gravy(natu kodi), bagara rice and white rice, roti, egg, pappu, rasam, curd and finally finished our meal with sweet. Ankapur Chicken is a very different takeout restaurant. A uniquely great combination of traditional food, delivered home, cooked fresh and in very hygienic conditions. The place looks like a bistro without seating arrangement. It is modern, hygienic and food is delivered to you. This is a food joint that has grown on word of mouth, you taste the food and you get hooked.
This is a freshly cooked dish for which the cooking starts only after you order. Secondly, the portion sizes are large. The order size typically in one full bird for chicken, one kilogram for other dishes and 10 rotis. This is a great restaurant for family event. Have lots of guests home, do call Ankapur Chicken.
If you are a single person ordering just for only yourself, the order size will be too huge. Just be aware of the fact.
Second, they cook only after you order. So it will take time, so plan for this. It is NOT an afternoon cooked dish prepared in 20 kgs quantity being served to you in one plate portion. But patience pays. The best part is they deliver and they pack in this very cute plastic bowls.
Beware that the food will taste best at spicy level. Telangana dishes are spicy, so moderate spicy may not taste as good and you may not relish. Or take with curds after a bite or two.
There are many Telangana items you will only get here.
The country chicken gravy is just out of the world. You must try it, it is Telangana authentic spices – you can consider it as chicken korma curry. Try with country chicken not broiler chicken. The first time, I ate it, was hooked on the gravy. Was not a great fan of Country chicken but developed a taste for it. County chickens have no hormones injected in them so are healthier to eat. They are also more flavourful. If you must try with broiler chicken you can go ahead.
The bagaara rice is the best you can find in the city. Bagaara rice is same as biryani rice with all the flavors from Kerala and various other parts of India. Its fried rice with just spice tadka - It is really tasty here. The good thing about bagaara rice is that it does not change the flavor of the curry you are having with the bagaara fried rice, so it allows you to get the full taste of the dish.
I found the Prawn curries to be delicious. They are bit spicy.
Had a chance to try their Chicken Curry today. It was really Delicious. The gravy was very rich. Order on phone before you go.
Spicy food. Tasty food. One may like food here, if they like spicy. But be careful, u have to order at least 2 hrs before to avoid last minute rush
I just felt homely taste for the first time outside home. I am very happy to share this review and I really recommend for those who would be seeking freshly cooked food in a healthy ambience.

Natukodi chicken is very good and yummy over here but the thing is I and my frnd fell ill eating half boiled or raw chicken in curry
