As a bengali staying away from home finding authentic bengali food in Hyderabad was never a problem thanks to Kolkata Food Plaza. I visit as well as order from here quite frequently. The seating area is quite casual but can be improved a bit more. However i have never faced any issues while ordering in terms of packaging or quantity of food served. I go for the staple basmati rice , daal and aloo fry but the other bengali curries and fries are good too. The Chinese items in the menu are tasty but sometimes feel a bit oily
Ordered Fish Cutlet from Kolkata Food Plaza. Super in taste and quality. Remembered my old time. Being a Bengali fish is always special. The fish fillet was very fresh and the coating was also nice. I loved it. Price wise expected the fillet to be a bit thicker.
Finally found a place in Hyderabad with proper bengali food.The staff are polite, the food is fresh and authentic. Must visit for all bengalis who misses this homely food away from home.

Bengali aloo chicken biryani was also good however they did not mix kewra water,rose water and mitha ithra in it...this would have tastef much better...my feedback please work on this

Went today nice place and nicely decorated but space is very less should extend the space more.. About food, it was awesome authenticate Bengali taste was there on everything but the chicken should have been cooked with less oil it was full of oil in the gravy.. Langcha was awasome just

I had been consistently ordering from Kolkata Food Plaza during my 2 month stay at Hyderabad. I must say, it has been a 5 star experience. Authentic bengali food served everytime. Though sometimes, the food was a bit oily, but you can ignore that if you get on demand Katla Kalia, Pabda shorshe, bhetki bhapa, moori ghonto β€οΈ.. right?
This one is among a few restaurants in Gachibowli/Kondapur locality that serves the best bengali food at reasonable price. I never got a chance to visit the restaurant, so unable to comment on the ambience.

Very nice.. Best bengali dishes. All fish items and chicken items are tasy. Vetki paturi is one of the best. I always recommend Vetki paturi and fry to try once.
Very good home cooked meals, but they don't have enough delivery options. The biryani is as same as it can get to Kolkata biryani. I love the sweets here too.

The taste was very authentic, I loved the Bhetki fry and more the Kasundi. The kasundi was not that thick as i love the watery one.

To find a restaurant serving authentic Bengali cuisine in the city of Nizams is a blessing. More so when you get value for the money you pay for the food preparations close to your heart. This is a tiny corner that offers mouthful of goodness in every gulp or bite you take in , no matter what the dish is. A simple meal of aloo bhaja with dal bhaat fills your heart and tummy up so well that you wouldn't want to wander around in search of any other. However, a few favourites are always there. Like the mutton roganjosh or chicken varta. Do not forget to try the aloo posto ! Shubho bhuribhoj !

The food is fairly decent and the price is low also. A nice place who eat outside on a regular basis in and around Kondapur. U can try Veg Thali with Moori Ghanto. This is the combination I have always preferred out here. The prices for some dishes is fairly high as per its standard.

Heaven for all the bengalis who are staying in hyderabad. This restaurant is very close from my place. Tried almost all the items from here. Kolkata biriyani is okay. I love their chicken mughlai gravy. Best is chicken mughlai paratha. The aalo gravy they give with the mughlai paratha is mouthwatering.
This is an excellent place if you are looking for authentic Bengali food in a pocket friendly budget with a classic Calcutta environment. But the only disadvantage is that it is not an air conditioned place so if you planning of going to this place on a hot summer day then please be careful. But the food is amazing and you will saviour every piece of food which goes inside your mouth. Also, the mishti doi is a must try after a heavy lunch or dinner at this place.

Its a decent bengali food restaurant in kukatpally. Veg foods are really good but need to improve in nonveg, specially in fish, also you need to increase the variety of fish like Hilsa. Biriyani's are also good. Deserts are also good. Sometimes the price of some items are too high, need to check is it value for money or not. I gerenally used to order from this restaurant on aprox daily basis & as a Bengali my over all experience is good, at least This restaurant give some feel of kolkata nearly aprox 1600 km away from kolkata
Good option for Bengali food in Hyderabad. Very good quality foods with respect to price tags. Not a proper place to sit and have food, better to order foods online and relish them at home. Staffs are friendly, if you plan to visit the restaurant physically and have a big nose against dusty floors, avoid having food at the restaurant. Interiors are not so modern fashioned or exquisite. But all other things including hygiene is maintained as much as possible. Good choice and have their food without a doubt! Snacks to meals all are delicious. Avoid having sweets because some might be stored for long time. A thumbs up for them indeed. π

Chicken dak banglo which is a spicy curry made of chicken and egg together and chanar dalna (a cottage cheese curry made in milky gravy) are my favorite.
When you are craving for bengali dish try this one as it comes with lot of options.

I tried their Chicken Egg Roll at the Dusshera Festival in Miyapur. Liked their roll which had a bit of mustard sauce added giving a special taste. However, got small pieces of bones in the roll, which was not expected and must be a one off thing. Will need to visit their restaurant sometime in future. Pls maintain good quality & hygiene always...

A lot of average and poor reviews had me sceptical for a long long time. Well one late night, this was the only place delivering Bengali food and I decided to try my luck. I ordered a mutton kosha thali and bhetki fry. I was very pleasantly surprised. Each dish was delicious. The mutton was spicy and hot, cooked to perfection.
On top of that, great quantity and well packed.
I don't know why so many avg to bad reviews are there about the place but trust me it actually is a very good place to treat ur test buds with bengali food. I have become a regular customer of the food joint. They serve good food at a affordable price , I hv tried most of the bengali foods from their menu and and I loved all of them. If u are a bengali and in search of good bengali food with out having a big hole in your pocket I would definitely recommend this place.

ts really difficult to narrow down to one. The best cuisines can be found spread out over a major part of Central Hyderabad, mainly park street. But if you really are a foodie, fine dining and elegant restaurants are just not enough. You need to walk the streets, savour the roadside food, to get a real taste of Hyderabad.

this bong loves eating fish! and I ordered Tilapia masala from Kolkata food plaza. they gave a whole tilapia fish in onion and tomato curry, a typical Bengali fish curry recipe, and I loved it! I had a soulful meal and slept in peace :D but I have to tell you not all of their food items are great. once I had ordered Doi Rui and all they gave me was a fried fish with curd on top of it. so be careful what you order and keep your fingers crossed π

Good place to have a taste of Bengali food! The rice is bit different from Bengal so you will not get the authentic bengali feel of it. The Biriyani is good.

I ordered food at home . One veg thali and one special thali. Food was awesome and the taste was 100% authentic. Coming to the price I wonder how they could deliver at such low cost. . As far as the quantity is concerned We ordered for two but could only eat half of it , even though we over ate . Good job keep it up

Had lunch at this place one Sunday afternoon. Food tasted good. Ambiance is more of a mess-like; and frequented by Bengalis who miss their hometown food.
Overall a safe option. I tried them 3times.they are professional, price is reasonable. Food quantity is good ,taste is good too but in terms of taste the're not consistent.but other caterers either charging high by taking advantage of "bengali sentiment" Or not professional enough. So, as a safe option I would like to order next time as well.

Finding Bengali food in city of Nizam is just amazing. Tried my favourite mughlai paratha. Taste is ok. Price is also fine. Also trid lengcha.. I liked the decor but there is no AC installed. Parking can be done on road. I am uploading the menu..they serve a huge variety of Thali and a la carte. Enjoy

The place is a good place for Bengali food. The taste of the foods here is average but you can get varities here. The posto dishes are not that good but price wise it is less costly. The biriyani is also average. But it is better than that of Kolkata House, which has bad reputation of serving stale and rotten food. I have not found its signature dish, but you can try moghlai paratha as an alternative. The price is jacked up for app based delivery. It is always better to take delivery. The packaging of food is good.
The place may not be spacious but the food is definitely going to satisfy every khati Bengali. The starters ,oh my god, just reminds me of my homeplace. A must visit for every Bengali , I am sure you won't be disappointed with the food. And don't forget to taste langcha sweet .
