We had dinner here last night with friends who were travelling back into Hyderabad after 15 years from Lebanon. They had a specific request of wanting Andhra food and since I have been following this page closely I recommended we try it. It was a wonderful evening. Every aspect of it met not just the expectations of our friends but also us locals who have been waiting to taste the cuisine. Am I not remember the names of all that we ate correctly, but, everything we ate was tasty and full of flavours. We went for the baseline spice options and were not disappointed. The non-veg starters off Konaseema kodi vepuru and rava Fried fish was absolutely fantastic. I think the vegetarians eight the Sabudana Vada well done as well. The main course options of the mutton biryani and vankaya rice was also just so. We had eaten so much that we could easily have skipped dessert but that just wouldn't do. So bobattus served with cold rabdi was just the thing to end the meal with. Pepper Rasam served in the beginning had cleared all passages to get down to serious business of eating. Since finishing the meal without having tasted the true blue South Indian Pappu what is not an option, I requested a taste of what ever they had. Two spoons of eating the Mango Papu satiated that desire as well. We had an extremely helpful and informative person walking us through choosing what we could eat given our preferences and tastes. The patience and detail with which everything was handled was exemplary. I brought back a portion of the Pappu and some tamarind rice which was just as tasty. The ambience was comfortable and conversations easy since the restaurant was relatively quiet. For a person with blindness and partial hearing, it was a treat since I stay out of most places due to the noise factor. Whether or not the quiet will exist forever, I'm not sure of. But, I know for a fact I will return for another meal and recommend this place to anybody who wants to eat a wholesome and tasty meal. Sorry, no idea about the prices since we were all guests. I can only vouch for everything that went on to my banana leaf and into my mouth! Why I did not have any of the fire hydrant curd I will never know. But that might be a good idea as well!

Excellent hospitality. Ambience and food is good. Right from started to meals we enjoyed everything.
I really loved the food..it gives memory of my village
excellent service. food is very taste and spicy.
Today I had lunch there it is just amazing
Nice food and good service...
Good Telugu bhojanam.....
The hotel name and the way they designed the logo itself was eye catching...By seeing that itself we can understand that it's a for sure south indian Andhra style restaurant.
Whatever you eat here will be served in Banana leaf.
The best thing to go with is the "Mana Bhojanam" . If you wish to try some add-ons you can. There is nothing special about this food, but the simple food within itself makes you feel special. It's a unlimited meal per person.
They have some veg / non-veg starters and some desserts.
A place to try for sure!

Shared few pics from my dining experience. Take a look.
The ambience and the food remark Telugu tradition. Food is bit spicy but it is how the Andhra food tastes. I was given a different welcome drink made up of tomato and black pepper powder.. it was tasty. Later I had Royyala pulav(prawns pulav), I enjoyed it but it is little oily and spicy. Also you find a special authentic dessert Pachimirapakay Halwa (green chilli Halwa), I liked it as it is mix of spice and sweetness. Try it as it is authentic.

We got the Butta Bhojanam delivered couple of times earlier, wanted to try the food in the restaurant.
The ambiance is very good and got seated quickly. Food was served in the banana leaf.
Pepper and tomato rasam served as soup in a small tea glass was excellent.
We were served one chetney, one dry curry, one masala curry and one pappu. Sambar, rasam and majjiga pulisu. Lemon rice and plain rice. Fired papad and majjiga mirapakayalu. Typical Telugu bhojanam.
All the curries tasted good, except for majjiga pulisu which was cold and majjiga mirapakayalu were not crispy.
Staff was courteous and service was good too.
The Ambience is excellent, so is the food and it's management. Highly recommended for family outling. Keep up the good work.
From starting to ending they satisfied us deffnetly. Good quality and tasty food all variety are available. Good service like the way they serving food.
One of the best full meals I've eaten in Hyderabad. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for its authentic full meals. Although the quantity seemed more I ate all of it. Stomach full !
Good place with great Ambience..
Though the place is quite small.. It looks tooo good ♥ the wall posters and interiors just grab the marks
Starters were good.. Mokkajonna vada ♥
Was expecting a huge varieties in meals but little disappointed
Though it tastes good
Nd chicken pulao was also good
Overall 3/5
"Authentic in Every Way"
An authentic place with cultural and ethnic flavours on the inside is what you are greeted with. Few fine touches make you feel like home with a pleasant surroundings.
Even before you consider to make an order there comes the "Tomato Rasam" - welcome drink as they call it with strong flavor of pepper and tomato and "Butta Vadiyalu" - basket full of desi papads to keep you busy.
Their menu was not so complicated and made things easy since I had to go for chicken dishes -
"Konaseema Kodi Vepudu" - a chicken dish which was made spicy with roasted Indian spices and need to be appreciated. Chefs recommend!! and then followed by "Pandumirapa Kodi Pulav" - as the name suggests pulav with chicken marinated in red chillies and other flavours to keep a balanced taste of spicy and tangy. Good Choice!!
"Kobbari Payasam" - was the last to order since it was their special and it tasted so good. Definite recommend!!
This place can leave you a happy experience with a very reasonable asking price and options for every taste bud. So if you consider having some authentic food around this area checkout this one!!
Nice place, went as a family of 4. no issues with parking has a valet. It is the second floor and we didn't have to wait but while returning back noticed that there is waiting on the ground floor. The hotel is a normal, clean place and we were promptly seated. We ordered for 2 thalis. the food was served in banyan leaves. We had a basket of papad given. The food was good and the service was prompt. 3 curries, dal, sambar, rasam and majjiga pulusu along with curd and sweet. It is worth the price. Definitely, a must visit place at least once.

Situated in the midst of the city on the way of Panjagutta from Ameerpet side Tried this karam podi idly was really spicy and great in taste to eat.
Best hospitality and best service...!!!
Food is different with good quality...packing is also maintained perfectly. I prefer it for best veg meals
Tummy filling dinner..love for Banana leaf😍well maintained restaurant nice ambience had a good food thanks for your great tasting food everything was awesome today.....
After being seated, a fresh banana leaf was placed on my table followed by a basket full of vadiyalu(pumpkin vadiyalu are my favourite!).
I mixed Pappu with the hot rice that has ghee over it , crushed few pumpkin vadiyalu and ate the mix - it was divine and finger licking.
We ordered saggubhiyam garelu and they were awe!
The meal consists of rice, delicious curries subtly spiced with chillies, pappu, vadiyalu, pickle, sambar, rasam, curd, sweet. Simple yet mouth watering meal.
One of the best places where you can taste Andhra delicacy. I would pick this restaurant over any pizza place or fast food place in a heartbeat.
This place has a good variety of South Indian (Andhra) cuisine. Both the quantity and quality of all the items that we ordered were really recommendable. It is also pocket friendly. The only thing that let us down was that we had to wait for 20 minutes to get a table. But overall it was a good experience.
This hotel is a pure Andhra meals hotel. Items are served in a banana leaf. All the items are very tasty. Staff is very responsive.
It has limited quality menu. 160 rs per meal is a bit expensive. This has to be lowered.
Been to this place several... Times its adjusant to my room I always enjoy my lunch great ambience outstanding food Rasam as a welcome it's super hot make my appetite hunger.sorakaya vepudu and chemagadda pulusu was it's best over all excellent..when it comes to service staff are so courteous especially Ms.rupa made my day she gave warm welcome rupa understood my needs so polite guest oriented.......i can say staff are pillars of this restaurant...
Place of real taste of South India 🇮🇳,
It's like a all new taste for people who are used to normal restaurant.
Much tastier than a Biryani
I got parceled butta bhojanam(189/-) here.so this review is all about taste and quality of the food but not about service and ambience.
Quality of the rice is top notch.rice provided is more than enough to single person and certainly serves two medium eaters.comming to the items provided
Sweet(Samya saggubiyyam)-- 5/5
Daal (gongura& Tomato daal)-- 4/5
Pulusu(Tomato curry) -- 4/5
Rasam. -----4/5
Sambar. ------- 4/5

Overall it's a good value for money meals and certainly beats the nearby Kakatiya mess meals in terms of taste by leaps and bounds.just have it in the hotel with an omelette and enjoy the day with belly full tastey meals.
Small place with decent ambience and quick service. Usually jam packed in the afternoons and famous for its mana bhojanam(dine in) and butta bhojanam (take away).
Mana bhojanam South Indian thali was good with variety of dishes like pickle, Podi, rasam, sambar, Pappu and curries. The only item disappointed me was the majjiga chaaru. This place is also famous for its non veg varieties, I ordered an omelette and it was good.
If you are looking for Andhra food..this is the best place in Hyderabad..their ambience, food quality and taste is amazing..we had mana bhojanam..each and every dish was amazing..the way they served including the welcome drink..hope they continue the same we'd love to visit it again and again..
Been here for dinner, best place to have authentic telugu food. Very good ambiance and wonderful service. Welcomed with a soup just like rasam and it is so good that we asked them again and again for this item.
Tried the following :
Aritaku mana bhojanam (awesome and worth)
Konaseema kodi vepudu (awesome and must try)
Guddu kodi bomb (awesome)
Makke garelu with pachadi (awesome)
Kodi pulav (awesome)
Keema pulav (very good)
The best thing about this place is the service, i loved the service and the way they show the concern for customers is too good. Would definitely recommend for family visits and for authentic telugu cuisine lovers.

Babai Bhojanam is place if you are looking for South indian style food.
It is located centrally & easy for access.
You will find Babai there who will be at your service with a smile on his face.
Here food is served on Banana Leaf with a prefix menu, you can also order on menu separately.
Had Mana Bhojanam, which serves rasam as welcome drinks, Butta vadiyallu, salla mirpakalyalu, Rice, Ghee, one veg Curry, Fry, Sambhar, Majiga, Kesar sweet, Chutneys.
A place to experience the Traditional South Indian style food, priced moderately.
It would be great if they can add few more Delicacies to it.
A Must Try place for Aritaaku Bhojanam..
Me and my wife went to this place wanted to try there regular meals however post reaching the place we changed our mind to have Raagi sankati and Nagi kodi Pulusu then we had Guddu Pulav and all of them were yummy and it’s pocket friendly
Experience the taste , just loved
it , the food will be too traditional , the way they deliver is also good , especially raagi mudda natukodi pulusu
A good simple meal on a sunday :) The best part is they serve food on banana leaf .. okayy let me start with a welcome drink .... that is spicy rasam ( miriyala charu ) followed by meals like dal , fry ,curry , chutney ,kandi podi , avakai , sambar , methi majiga , rasam , curd, ghee , papads and ends with a cup of delicious sweet ( halwa) ❤️
The chutney ( pudina chutney ) was not upto the mark .. tastes sweet and there is no where pudina flavour in it and methi majiga is just like a tempering in liquid curd .
The best part is avakai kandi podi dal sambar and aloo curry ❤️
We have evn order omlette and sabudana wada seperately . Omlette tastes good but can make little spicy as per customer choice and sabudana
wada is soft inside and crisp outside ... coming to the end evn the finger bowl is decorated well with the rose petals and lemon in it
service has to be improved little bit ...
Overall it’s a good happy meal 🥘
Can be enjoyed to family

latest update:
Dinner at babai bojanam punjagutta..
Been here when they initially launched and visited again today after a busy week for a simple veg meal, felt a little disappointed as the service and taste of food is not as great as it was during the launch!!
Was served spoiled pickle and was told that most of the side dishes were almost done while it was still 8:00 pm.
The place lost it's charm.. gave feedback to the manager who seemed to know the issue but had a helpless face!!
Absolutely loved the ambience and the warm welcome by the staff and babai himself..makes you feel home, simple food great service.
looking for more improvement in adding more authentic Andhra flavours and dishes to the thali.

Best Place for Proper Telugu Authentic Food. Nice Ambience, good service and Tasty dishes. We also get homely feeling with the ambience and the way in they set up the entire place. Would definitely recommend you to try it out once. Cheers🥂
Fantastic ambience, great food, warm hospitality, decent parking space, easy access from the main road, convenient location, good choice of dishes to choose from; what more can I expect? Babai Bhojanam lived up to my expectations and more. Pricing-wise they are fairly competitive. Most dishes are priced within reason. Must visit and highly recommended if you haven't tried this place before.
We bummed into this place while stepping out of punjagutta metro station. The staffs were friendly and helpful. It's a nice Andhra restaurant with cool decor. We have thali, recommended.
Went to the new one at Paradise with my cousin. Ambience is good, service is good n coming to food i was surprised to taste food that tasted like the one made at home. Not to expect many varieties of food. The varieties are few for the price you pay which according to me is a good thing because ur chances of wasting food is minimised. Must try..thali,Raagi sangati, Mirchi bajji n pacchi mirapakaaya halwa. Visit it with ur family n friends if ur a foodie who likes Andhra food.
Superb place for south indian food. Great variety of dishes in the thali which is named mana bhojanam. The food tastes fantastic and the appadams served on the table are yummy as well. Service is also prompt. The ambience guves you a warm feeling and the fact that they serve on traditional banana leaf is a great experience whih is not generally found in hyderabad anywhere. I suggest if you are planning to go here, skip your day's breakfast so that you can try all varieties well.
I’m in love with this place ♥️ Before you enter the restaurant, you will find a person in a traditional dhoti who would greet you with a smile and make you comfortable by accompanying you to help you to sit. A welcome drink is served & food that you order is served on a beautiful banana leaf. You must try the fish fry and the prawns from the starters. The main course has so many varieties. Ragi sangati is super yummy here. The food tastes heavenly. Make sure you pay a visit at the earliest ♥️
No words to describe, kind of gestures, ambitious, yummy food, served in banana leaf, karapak chicken, green chili halwa awesome, reasonable price, just try once, we had been to panjagutta branch
Located bang opposite the Next Galeria Mall, tasty Andhra meals complete with vadiyalu, ghee, karam podi, sambhar, rasam and the works are served along with delectable vegetarian fare.
The location at Punjagutta X-Roads does account for a good crowd during lunch time, and one has to sometimes wait for one's chance...
Though slightly on the expensive side as compared to similar places in the surroundings, it is made up for by the unlimited quantity of the food served and it's taste...
Nice decor, good ambience, quick and efficient service...
Visited yesterday (13/12/20) again & along with vegetarian meals, tried the PACHI MIRUPUKKAI HSLWA, Green Chilli Halwa, which was delicious.
Had chicken fry too as an add-on to the meals, and masala buttermilk, both of which were very good.
One of the finest and authentic Andhr style meals served by most humble people... Go for Mana Bhojanam... Full meal on Banana leaf as shown in picture... It's awesome... Enjoyed thoroughly each and every dish... Highly recommended for foodies...

It is very good, better to use cold pressed oils while making food instead of refined/dalda oils. This is my suggestion.. Babai hotel means feels like home food.
A classic touch with traditional dishes and serving food on banana leaves, copper glasses make this restaurant a decent place to dine in and gives customers a nostalgic touch. Their menu also reflects old times..

Excellent ambience for families. I tried vankay ulli Karam palav, it is fantastic. 😋
I would recommend the same and thali. Ulli bomb isn't that appetizing for me. Service is maintained well.
