The food here is amazing and the staff is good. A must visit place for authentic chinese food.
The Cantonese nonveg noodles are LOVE here.. I really loveeeeeddddd it... Really authentic taste... Must try that noodle .. itz amazing..i was looking to order but i guess they don't deliver food
Cosy place. Very very polite staff. Perfect food, wide variety to choose from and great portions as well. Loved everything we ordered, especially their egg roll, which was so flavourful and tasty. Special favourite was their chilli garlic noodles and pepper chicken. Definitely worth the money! Always a pleasure visiting canton! ☺️
Tasty lovely food and the environment is pleasant. The people are polite and friendly. Charges are reasonable.

Great place with amazing food and comforting vibe. Gives a very homey feel, delicious food and great value for money. Must try their Talumein spup, Buddha dancing soup and other in-house specialities
I keep ordering from here. I have tasted almost many of the items on the menu. They make the right kind of Chinese food in Hyderabad. Soups, rolls, chicken appetizers are really worth the price. Even the chilli prawns were amazing. What impressed me most is that they maintain good taste and quantity for the price.
Last time we all went to have a get together where everyone was happy with their own meals. Chicken Manchuria, canton special hakka noodles, fried prawns are my favourite
All Chinese dishes are authentic
The owner is a friendly man and the food is very good and the quantity is also nice and its a very calm and quite and cute Resturant right in the heart of bustling Somajiguda and Raj Bhawan Road.
Food was Awesome Ordered Chicken Pepper Soup, Hunan Chicken, Chicken Soft Noodles

One of the Best Restaurants in the Town for Chinese Lovers
super soups nasty tasty noodles feel like sitting in China and eating Chinese noodles and service is awesome there were always gives the best.
So this place is close to the house and I would never go there to eat as the ambiance is just not my style.
I have known this chef since the days when he had a small restaurant close to Nagarjuna circle.
He was always arrogant and shouted on his cooks but his food was kick ass.
Then he shifted to canton in Somajiguda and we were exited but this food was not the same.
However the stuff here is not bad at all.
You just need to know what to order, out here. I haven’t tried it all but the Hakka noodles 🍝 and the hong Kong 🇭🇰 chicken is what I like.
I still need to try more stuff out here and get back to you with a full report.
The chef still has some Majic ... just need to know what to order here !!
Have fun !
It's so easy to miss this place in somajiguda.
I discovered it by accident.
They serve amazing kolkata rolls, its a must try.
Clear soups veg/ non veg both are good.
They serve good Momos and foo young as well.
Great food at affordable price. One of the few restaurants serving awesome Chinese food. Ordered for Veg fried rice with red pepper chicken. Quantity enough for two, taste Good. Recommend for Somajiguda, Begumpet area.

Last weekend we decided to order food from here, had been on our wish list for quite some time. We ordered Chicken man chow soup, dry chilli chicken and dry szechwan chicken for starters and chicken Hakka noodles and chicken fried rice along with garlic chicken and ginger chicken for main course.
Coming to the taste the soup was pretty good and so were the starters, where the dry chilli chicken deserves special mention.
Noodles was easily the star of the show, however the gravies of garlic and ginger chicken were a bit bland.
Overall considering the pricing, it was good value for money and they give ample quantity. Will definitely order again sometime.
Have been going to this restaurant for a long time.
Customer services are really good.😊
But the food comes to your plate a little late....🙄
You must really try their rolls❤️❤️❤️
But overall... Staff is very sweet to the customers👌
This restuarent was discovered by accident while shopping on the begumpet road. We were a bit apprehensive in trying the place , but we are glad we did. we ordered the canton special noodles and chicken momos. Both were very good. The momos were one of the very best that I had tried before. And the taste of noodles and quantity was quite good. Service was quick and I found the owner very professional and quite helpful while suggesting dishes. Best chinese I had in quite some time.
I was looking for a place to eat Momos, this is the only place I found where the taste of Momo's is close to authentic Chinese cooking and taste. Veg rolls and nonveg rolls are the best.
Simple ambience and good for a quick break and hangout. Service is pretty decent.
Value for money and good place to visit if you like to have quick bites
Its just 2 minutes from my place and it is the best Chinese in town. They really know how to indianise the chinese dishes so that you can savour the food for long. Its reasonable and if you want to describe Canton in one phease, it should be Value for Money.
A nice Chinese try out place within the city. The mall where it is located looks little haunted though but the restaurant is a nice place to try out. All the Canton special dishes a must try out. HongKong Chicken, Canton special Fried Noodles a must try. Meifoon is soft noodles just like vermicelli and it is another good Chinese item to try out.
It's a small restaurant with great Chinese food and reasonable prices! Try the Szechwan noodles, hot garlic noodles. They are great for spicy food lovers! Manchuria and soups are good too. This place is located beside Domino's, Somajiguda.
Amazed to find a simple yet amazing Chinese joint without having to spend over the top! Ps: The veg garlic noodles taste better than the Chicken one ;)
Me and my friends are regular visitors at this place as it's very near our office. One of the very best Chinese joints in the area. If you want to have a good lunch, try their canton special noodles. It's got everything. Vegetables, egg, chicken and prawns. But for god's sales don't mix it with the sauce that they provide coz it's that bad.
If you want a quick meal. Something to bite on the way, u can always go for their rolls. They have got some 20different variants of rolls and they are all delicious.
I checked into Canton at random out of hunger along with my buddy .The place actually has hype for Chinese fast food & starters. We are the ones who experimented chicken biryani there!!. We ordered one bowl of it along with soft drinks. The dishes were served hot on time & taste was too good ,beyond what we have envisaged. The food & service is value for money. I believe all the recipes taste similar quality. We were pleased by quality & quantity.

I was there in the restruant in evening. The food was really good. Must try triple shezwan preprations. Service is also fast. For a real oriental food i will prefer this place...
Very good Chinese spread...awesome rolls. I have fallen in love with the rolls since I am in Hyderabad. It has a restaurant, however prefer to have it delivered at home.

I would prefer the rolls here than other items. Momos or dimsusms are a a hit and miss at times. The noodles give a dry road side snack taste. But like I said kathi rools are amazing and will fill you as a meal.
I been eating at canton since 2yrs. Food is awesome and decent place. Worth the price and they have many items which are very tasty.
Rolls and Chinese are my favorite in this restaurant. Happy to note they have started home delivery.
Good luck canton
pretty nice chinese food.. veg and chicken momos.. kolkota rolls.. I love the food and also the hospitality.. however never order Indian food like paneer masala or any other non veg curries like chicken masala or mutton masala.. they are not good at all. Overall an undisputed choice for good chinese food
Decent place for quick snack and lunch, you wld love the aquarium with the eel and two big fish in it....best rolls, you eat one which is enough for a meal....must try lachha paratha and butter chicken
Ok so Canton- An ultimate, decently budgeted stop for yummy chinese greasy food fanatics like me. Beware though: The owner bites.
I had gone here a good number of times in the past. But its almost been a year since I've gone there recently... about a week ago. So here are three things I realized,
1) Their food's still delicious. This time I fell in love with Fried Dumplings (Mandoos). They are ecstacy inducingly good. They are Asdfghjkl good!!!!! And their rolls. Ohmylord their rolls are one of the best things that happened to Somajiguda.
2) Wait time, which had always been on the longer side, turned slightly longer. But the food you get to eat is pretty much worth the wait.
3) But oh boy, Canton staff (at least one of them-I think he's the owner or at least one of the owners) is now downright unpleasant and rude. He actually shouted at us to sit & place our order. And rolled his eyes at me for checking about something on the menu. I don't require polite smiles. As long as they put tasty yummy food on my table, I'm peachy. But wow shouting at me... that was appalling.
Well. So in conclusion, food is damn tasty so maybe I will go back sometime despite their behaviour. All my 3.5 ratings are just and just for food. (Mandoooooo!!!!)
But it won't make me wanna punch that guy in the face any less, I guess.
Really good food close to my home so I go every now and then for the rolls, all the dishes are good and pocket friendly. I been going to this place for many years now and never got bored of it.
Chang, this is for u, located adjacent to somajiguda circle, raj bhavan road. A small restaurant with their famous noodles and katti roll, have always attracted me. As a bengali, I really used to miss so called egg roll, and road side noodles. But thanks to canton that it have never disappointed me so far. Chang the owner is also from Kolkata. And trust me it goes good with ur pocket. Totally reasonable and tasty food. Chang weiting this for u, hope u see this. Long way to go buddy...😃😄
If u wish to have a spicy and good tasting food then its the best of ur choose.
The taste here is worth the price.
One of the good food places around somajiguda at affordable prices with no much burden to pockets.
We can get Indian and Chinese cuisines here.
Both were resonabily decent in their taste.
The only thing that should be taken care by the management is little improvement in the ambience.
Other than that its a good place to have a good tasty food. :)
If you are looking for a Chinese restaurant that serves food at a reasonable price, this is the one! The ambiance is not too great but the food is great. :)
As Calcuttan as it can get in Hyderabad, Canton gives you a feeling close to that of eating out in a typical Calcutta Chinese restaurant - minus the ambience though. This is possibly one of the only Hyderabadi restaurants that have the distinct Bengali Chinese taste in its Chinese food, mainly because the owners are from the large Chinese community in Calcutta. Their rolls also have a distinct flavor of eastern India and are among the best Cal rolls anywhere in Hyderabad. Overall, the food and service are worth the money you shell out. Earlier, it used to be known as Baba's Chulha. Not sure if the owners are the same. Worth trying.

If you want a good Chinese and Indian meal in Somajiguda then this is the place.
Location: On the main road just beneath Domino’s pizza outlet.
Ambiance: Decent where you can take your family out to
Food : Having visited this place so many times, I am biased towards some of the dishes they serve which are lip smacking good.
Kolkotta Rolls : Chicken Hariyali Kebab roll , Chicken 65 kebab roll , Chilly chicken kebab roll with double egg are my all-time favorites here. The size of the roll and the quantity of chicken they provide inside is amazing and enough to satisfy an average person’s appetite
Chopsuey : Chicken chopsuey and American chopsuey are nice , almost same that you get everywhere else. However, American chopsuey is not served with omelet here like most other Chinese outlets do.
Indian Breads : The roti section needs a huge improvement if they have indian food on the menu , except Phulka’s & butter phulka’s they do not serve the paratha’s which are present in the menu. Based on multiple visits over months in both afternoon and dinner slots
Overall a nice place to have food in this area.

It is an amazing Chinese dine-in . the rolls are the best of menu. Very limited options in veg menu. And have only one guy for home delivery so, gets late many a time.

One the best place for rolls in the city. The place is small and reasonable.. But do not judge the book by its cover ;-) Awesome food and awesome rolls
Some might say they have better rolls than most popular joints of kolkata!
And what the hell is wrong with zomato? Why does my review have to be 140 character long..is this zomato or bloody twitter!
Brilliant Chinese food with reasonable rates. Small and compact place but the food is to die for. Especially the monos and the starters....
I checked into this place at 10:30 in the night... And the first thing my manager suggested me to have was the chicken roll with double egg.. But I was in an intention that this one might just be unlike all the chicken rolls which I eat, but once I got this served at my table and when I actually tasted it this one blew me away... The chicken was so tender and the vegetables added with them gave the taste.. That long roll stuffed with fresh tender chicken, capsicum, onion and freshly sliced tomatoes filled my stomach for that short snack which I had.. And the very next day when I went down to have some spicy chicken fried noodles with little chicken Manchuria.... I couldn't stop myself from eating an other plate of chicken Manchuria... All the people who love chinese and who are around Somajiguda should actually visit this place... They are just amazing...
P.S. : I am Amateur food review writer kindly bare with me ...!!!!
Heard it from my friends....service was average but the taste is good in that Price....Suitable for a casual dine out....kolkata rolls are Pretty good to taste....
Chinese menu or rolls are the best here. The rolls are quite filling. They are the best out here. A good place to eat when you are looking for a simple dinner. And it is pocket friendly
Awesome Chinese place to go for -
Chicken manchow soup / Hot & Sour/ Seafood special soup
Cantons special mixed fried noodles all inclusive of special gravy (order shezwan for the spicier version)
Pls ask Frankie - The owner also a chef to prepare a double fried lamb as a special order for you - you wud love it !
Canton is a very old fast food restaurant in somajiguda, it serves good chinese food for the price. Its a small place with hardly 10 tables, a few chinese wall hangings.. Very simply and neatly decorated one can jump here for a quick meal. the other day i visited it in the evening hours for a quick tit bit and ordered an egg chicken rolls, they serve it the best n its huge in size. a single roll can fully satiate a person's hunger and its yummy too.
Canton is a very old fast food restaurant in somajiguda, it serves good chinese food for the price. Its a small place with hardly 10 tables, a few chinese wall hangings.. Very simply and neatly decorated one can jump here for a quick meal, i do it sometimes. Rice and chicken 65 and soups should be tried.
Excellent place for chicken rolls.
There was always a gap for an Alex Kitchen type restaurant on the other side of the Hussain Sagar. Canton more than fills it up. It is a cosy place with good food and affordable prices.
The ambience is like an enhanced version of a chinese bandi and a degraded version of a chinese restaurant. Good food, hot and sour soup is just superb.
Nice Chinese food. Value for money. Spice level is very low. You need to specify if need the food to spicy.
Dropped into Canton, when I was around Somajiguda. Went through the reviews and had a fairly good idea what to expect and it wasn't so wrong. The small eatery, the waiters running around and the predominance of Rolls...:)
Ordered the Pepper Chicken Soup, Double egg Chicken roll, Hong Kong chicken, Canton Special Fried rice and Canton Special Noodles.. The Proprietor was all over the place, making conversation with the patrons. The first thing I noticed was the lack of servers. There was one chap running around serving the tables while the other tables were all calling out to him, reminding them their orders. Despite a very interactive and interested Proprietor, the eatery desperately calls out for more efficient Service.
After at least 3 reminders, we finally got the Soup. It was very good. Vegetables cooked just enough, generous bits of chicken and just enough pepper, to make it taste good.By the time we were done with the Soup, we were fuming form inside and it felt good on the rainy afternoon.. A few reminders later, we were served the Fried rice, Noodles and the Hong Kong Chicken.. It looked ordinary, but the Rice and Noodles were tasty, without being overpowering. I am not sure what, but they had done something with the chunks of Chicken, Prawns and Mushroom, before they were added to the rice and Noodles, and it tasted very good. The Chicken side dish was also very good, with flour coated and fried chicken chunks and fresh tasting veggies. Without being overtly spicy, it tasted good with the rice and Noodles. The rolls were subtle but tasty. The wrap was as sweet as it was bland and made a good accompaniment to the sour-spicy mix of chicken and the veggies.
We left the Restaurant, we were with happy hearts and full tummies. I will definitely go back there the next time I am around. I wouldn't say the food was exotic, but was definitely very good. I was torn between giving a 3.5 and a 4, but went with 4 as I will not be ready to go there with a schedule

On a rainy evening, an idea struck to a group of friends to have pepper soup and some short eats which was high on value and low on pockets. After brainstorming for some time we zeroed in on Canton. As I stopped by, I recollect that a restaurant named Baba’s Chulha existed before.
Directions to reach:
From Somajiguda circle, Canton is on the immediate left of the road leading to Raj Bhavan Road, exactly below Dominos.
Ambiance:
The ambiance is simple, with few chairs and tables. Except for few wall hangings, nothing else resembled a Chinese restaurant. One of the other things that I also noticed is the bar counter which was decorated with not liquor bottles but soft drinks ones (Kind of misleading ;-) ). You may have to compromise on the hygiene factor, the reason I say this is because the Sauce containers were extremely greasy.
Food:
Going by their menu, they have an elaborate choice of selections ranging from Chinese, Indian and Tandoor.
Since our main motive to come here was to have pepper soup and some short eats, we ordered for the Chicken Pepper Soup. Having read good reviews about the katti rolls, wanted to try them!! On Calvin – The Owner’s recommendations, we ordered for Chicken roll, Chicken Tikka Kebab roll and a Chicken Manchuria roll. You have the option to have it either single egg or a double egg.
The Chicken Pepper Soup was exactly the way I wanted, perfect for the rainy evening. The Soup had a lot of stuffing’s of vegetables and chicken in itself was very filling. The Rolls were by far the largest ones that I have seen, one roll is more than sufficient for each person. Though the paratha was thick it was perfect, the chicken and the veggies were perfect and not too many sauces to spoil the taste. The rolls were customized to each of our requirements and Chicken Manchuria roll was the best of the three.
Service:
Well, the service is quick and the staff is courteous, but they failed to maintain the minimum hygiene required. Calvin, who is the owner of the restaurant took note of our requirements and customized the rolls accordingly. Also, he was prompt in recommending his personal favorites.
Final Verdict : All in all, a value for money place to enjoy some decent food. Recommend it!!
Ambiance # 3/5
Food # 4/5
Service # 3.5/5

Awesome dish. Worth more than each paise it costed. Lip smacking . Restaurant is inconspicuous but dishes are just way too good
Had a couple of different soups here. Really liked them. The owner is polite and they cook some really tasty Chinese food .. will definitely visit again to try other items on the menu

Best Kolkatta rolls in town. Very good food and service. Family owned and operated.
Good food and friendly customer service
The ambience is very peaceful and the little kid is the cutest
Got the chance to taste real Cantonese food here! Seen many negative remarks about owner. Let me give an unbiased opinion, just go there to eat food and don't try to act smart and pick a fight. I had no problems with him.
Coming to the food, I tried the Corn soup and Cantonese special Gravy noodles.
Soup was good, I wanted a soothing feeling in the cold weather and the soup did it for me.
The noodles was different! Tasted different from regular Chinese food, in a good way! This noodles had shrimp and Chicken as well.
Quantity - 5/5

Also try the Kolkata rolls if you're in the mood.
The food tastes good ... Ambience is good . Can go with frnds and family for a good meal. But the quantity is little less .
One of the best place for Cantonese food. The owner of this place is a reasonably old guy who is very welcoming and treats well. One of my friend used to visit this place during his school. He took all of us there for the first time. The owner remember him and served one of the best fried rice I've ever had. From then, we go here whenever we're in Somajiguda. You can take kids too. Thanks.
