A no nonsense take away that focuses mainly on it's non-veg dishes. Mutton boneless fry, chicken leg piece and prawns fry are a must try and will not let you down. Easy on pockets and seems to be pretty popular going by the regular crowd that gathers in the evenings. All in all..decent and nice food.

Very close by to my home this place serves some serious spicy andhra food.
Its a take away service and the food is mainly non veg .
Chicken fry ,chicken curry, mutton fry ,fish crabs are some of the delicasies you get over here..
They have all south indian curries what you get in thali meals like samber, rasam ,curries, chutni packed in pouches.
Their biryani which is andhra type is very famous and my pick over here..
A Vfm place and for the spice lovers this place is the best curry points in sec bad

Whenever I get bored of home food, I pick this place to buy curries.

I always take pappu, majjiga pulusu and Chutney. Tomato & Gongura Chutney which they make is super duper, but it is very difficult to know when they will make it as it is a curry point and it gets updated every morning & evening.

In non-veg I prefer Chicken Biryani & fish fry...both are decent and can have it without any complaints.

I have heard good stuff about Mayuri Takeaway but never really ventured to try the dishes. When I had the greats like Sri Kanya and Kakatiya Mess near my home, why would I look to go for another takeaway joint. My tastebuds had already acclimatized to the spicy goodness served at these places, so Mayuri never really figured high on my list.

I love a good spicy food once in a while. Proper Andhra delicacies where there is no holding back on the spicy masala. One fine night just in mood for something different I drove down to Begumpet to try something different. This was just a random drive and that’s when I a parser of a thought flew by to try Mayuri. Quickly checking on the Zomato app as to the location which was pretty easy to find. Just exact opposite of Pantaloons is a lane and as you go about 200 mts in, there is Mayuri Takeaway.

On the outside, there were quite a few cooks making fresh chapatti as the orders were flying by. Now this is one option I really liked over the other takeaways. I could order for Chapatis, when in the others I had to mostly stick to rice. None of them mostly make chapatis, hot and ready to order.

The items displayed are vast ranging from prawns, crabs, mutton and chicken. I took a parcel of Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Leg Roast and a boneless Chicken fry. Yeah I know quite an unhealthy order, but you can’t really blame me for loving chicken.Well to make for all that unhealthiness, I went for the Jonna Roti (Jowar Roti). The dishes are quite nominally priced. Once back home, TV switched on and then I started plating the dishes.

The Chicken Wings make for a great starter. Spicy and the coating real crispy, the wings are perfect. The only problem was they had given them to me cold. So had to heat them up a little. The Leg Roast Fry is extremely spicy in a god way. The chicken was fresh and was succulent, falling off the bones types. Great stuff. But the best had to be the Chicken Fry. It was so spicy that I had to be reaching for my glass of water, but didn’t hold back on it either.

This makes for a great snack and also good with rice. Maybe the next time back, I shall go back and try their Chicken Fry Biryani. But Mayuri Takeaway does make some wonderful stuff worth having.

My interest towards Mayuri's chicken fry biryani seems to increase day by day. In my honest and personal opinion, it is the best in Begumpet. My relatives from Delhi also fall for the dry boneless chicken when they visit. One can choose boneless chicken fry biryani as well apart from the regular chicken fry biryani. The single on every item pack is quite enough for one person and is quite perfectly priced. Though the ambience is not impressive and area lacks parking space but nobody wants to settle there and worship the shop. Just grab your stuff(which is the main attraction) and leave. They serve non-veg drumsticks, fries, curries, biriyani.

I think this the best curry point in begumpet.
It has all the types of andhra and Telangana varieties more useful for the bachelors and the people who do night shifts

********************Second Review(07 May 2014)********************
My interest towards Mayuri's chicken fry biryani seems to increase day by day. In my honest and personal opinion, this biryani rivals Sri Kanya's. The only difference is - Mayuri's biryani does not have cashewnuts as in Sri Kanya's biryani. But then it does have another advantage - you can choose boneless chicken fry biryani as well apart from the regular chicken fry biryani. The single(half) pack is quite enough for one person and is quite moderately priced at approx 90 (110 for boneless version if I remember correctly). What I do is, I take a plain biryani single pack for Rs 60/- and a single boneless chicken fry for Rs 110/- and mix them. This option gives me more amount of chicken in my birani than the regular biryani option. Needless to say, this has the trademark spiciness of Andhra biryani.

Andhra food, takeaway, budget, shyamlal bldgs(Begumpet), trusted - if these are your search keywords/tags, then Mayuri is the place to be. Situated in the lane exactly opposite to Pantaloons, this takeway joint started around 2005(hope I am correct on this) and has been catering to a large local population for their dining needs. A predominantly non-veg takeaway, it does have good amount of andhra veg curry varieties for the vegetarians as well.

The chicken boneless fry is my favorite along with chapattis. They have a good fare of dishes with chicken, mutton, fish, eggs and occasional prawns. They do have andhra biryani(the SriKanya type - though SriKanya is relatively new to me) for chicken and mutton which are decent enough. There are a couple of guys who make chappattis and paranthas just outside the takeaway - a good option if you plan to have them along with your non-veg dishes, though I must say they are mostly made of maida.

The stock is always fresh as there is a good demand for takeaway. The taste of items almost remains same and up to mark, barring the occasional variations but I have never had anything which tasted stale or bad.

A non-veg parcel for two persons would cost around 200 or so and is pocket friendly.
