Need an explosive, flavourful bite-sized starters and mains? then, this place is the one you need to waddle in. My favourite is the Arabic Chicken dum biryani’s masala-rice, it has a unique flavour, one morsel of it and your tastebuds are delighted 😋
The Shishtaouk hummus pita starters are yum! The hummus served is fresh. And the Lamb mandi, the rice served was as usual taste but not dry. The meat in it wasn’t tender enough but it had flavour, musta been cooked in some special arabian gravy.
The restaurant should have been in closed doors but not an open seating kinda theme, but that’s just me who don’t dig into open seating themes as flies and mosquitoes irks me.
The food was good - well cooked, spicy (unexpected but pleasant), and yum. Had the grilled chicken and hummus delivered and it tasted just as good as it would have tasted at the restaurant. However, I expected a larger serving for the price, and the pita should have been softer.
I've ordered chicken mandi via ZOMATO, called the restaurant and specifically told to not to add chicken leg in the mandi, which they accepted. My mouth is just watering writing review. The best I've had till date. Better than I had in Dubai too. Amazing flavor of Rice, juicy chicken. Soulful Mandi.

We visited these place with friends as suggested by one of my colleagues as we enter we went into a different atmosphere of desert with camel in the middle all over middle East paintings coming to food shawarma an authentic taste not tasted like these before in Hyderabad as we r 6 we ordered a new dish sikanderi raan as suggested by manager it's mutton raan perfectly cooked and tasted as well last we had chicken special Mandi which is authentic in taste we r fully satisfied with food want to visit again with family

This is the best Mandi place I had been to in Hyderabad. Has tried Fish/Chicken Mandi here and both were finger licking good. Chicken shishtouk the serve in starter is one of the best kebabs I ate till now.

A wonderful Arabian experience starting with the food, ambience and the playlist that was being played. Wonderful and courteous staff. The quantity of the food might be a bit less but the taste, behaviour of staff and the overall feel makes up for it big time.😁

The ambiance are simple decent and it's best part about this place is they have theme of desert ! They have 3 seating section one is ac / non seating & another one low seating Arab style.

A few days back I was here at the Date restaurant which as one can guess from the name itself serves Middle Eastern Cuisine. As you enter the restaurant premises one is literally taken to a Middle Eastern Desert Safari kind of ambience. They have sand filled garden with a realistic camel statue. And it's through small paved walkways through the sand that we are lead to the seating areas. They have many different seating options to choose from. One is the classic Mandi style low seating with chandeliers & velvety curtains. The other is the normal modern seating with air conditioning. And the last is the seating from where you can catch live your favorite game on a huge live screen.
Coming to the food lets see what all we had!!
We started with Tomato & Basil soup was super tangy and a bit disappointing. Choice of cream soup was more subtle and creamy compared to the tangy tomato soup. Fattoush chicken salad is a bread salad which had fried bread pieces in it. The salad was not the best I've had. Feta Olive dip lacked the rich flavours of cheese and tasted mostly of hung curd only.
After these we moved on to the starters. Veg cigar rolls were really nice. They were crisp on the outside and cheesy on the inside. Harrissa Chicken Skewers was out next try and I loved it. It is basically chicken marinated in Harissa sauce or a chilli pepper sauce and grilled to perfection. Cottage Sheesh Kebab was good but it could have been more flavourful as it felt a bit mild for my taste.
Charmula Basted Fish Fingers served with potato wedges was also pretty decent. The fish could have more seasoning but the wedges were just perfect. Chicken Cydia Kebab was amazing and I strongly recommend this dish. It is spiced hung curd marinated chicken which is then grilled.
Next we tried their pizza. The one we had was the Turkish Chicken pizza. It was okay. The heart of the dish is the dip it is served with without which the pizza is pretty bland. They use pita bread as the pizza base. We also tried their BBQ chicken Mandi. It was pretty good especially the Mandi rice. But the chicken contrary to the name of the dish was normal fried chicken and not BBQ.
One does need some moctails to wash down all the food. We tried Ocean Blue, Strawberry Splash, Miami Breeze and Virgin Mojito. All were good but the best has to be the Virgin Mojito as always.
For dessert we had Baklava and Pan shot Phirni. The pan shot phirni was really good while the Baklava was decent but not the best I've had.

The moment you step in this restaurant you will definitely feel the middle eastern vibe. The outside area is completely covered with sand and cute floor lighting with a camel statue as the center of attraction.
I was here to try out their ramzan iftar special menu. We tried the biryani with various starters including barmula basted chicken, chicken 65, tawa roti and phirni. All the starters were quite decent, the biryani needs to be worked on a little. But for the price they are offering, i cant complain.
We also tried their mandi which was good too. They also offer shawarma with chicken 65, hummus and pita bread and a dessert for 199 INR also. Quite reasonable I must say. We did order some starters like harissa chicken and chicken jujeh kebab which were good. Mango mocktail was my favorite followed by strawberry splash.
The place is really lit in the night. A nice place to visit with your family.

Veg Cigar Rolls: It's a mix of vegetable cooked with borac spice and rolled into filo pastry served with mint mayo
Charumula Basted Cottage Cheese: it's Paneer fingers with crispy coating
Chicken Jujeh Kebab: This is charcoal grilled, and chicken is marinated with curd and saffron.
Harissa Chicken Skewers: Flavoured with red chilli, vinegar, cumin and garlic.
Also tried their iftar menu which has a combo of mandi/biryani, starter, dessert.
Mandi rice was decent but biryani on the other hands needs to be worked on.
Loved Their shawarma and their pita bread with dips this combo for 199 is a bomb you should never miss. Though it's only available for this month.
Tried their mocktails too, loved their Mango Dream white the other were too sweet and need to be worked on.

Date- having a habit of visiting newly opened restaurant, visited this restaurant last year in the month of april, being heard about this restaurant in recent times , i have decided to visit this restaurant again. So visted here during Ramadan days, last week.
Easy to locate, or may be as i visited here before, it was easy to locate.
Date - The Middle Eastern restaurant, this would be seen from a distance, with a board on heights making attractive with lights.
The lane which takes us to restaurant is fully decorated with lights. Lights in the darkness, the best combination to attract anyone.
Soon as we enter the restaurant, we will notice a Camel 🐫 at the centre. Restaurant is a theme based, which gives us, DESSERT feel. Ground has sand all over the pathway heading to different seating arrangements. Restaurant has got both indoor and outdoor seating (ipl screening).
On my first vist to here, i have experienced seating outdoor, so this time it was indoor seating to be experienced.

Veg biryani: needs improvement. As restaurant is more focused on non vegetarian. It didn't expect my veg biryani to be that great. So yeah, it was not a disappointment.
Iftaar menu is available from 6:30pm , which is 199rs +gst.
First thing that comes to mind is the ambience it gives u vibes of desert and inside u go seating too is very colorful 5 for that l, food we tried kebabs which were good mandi too was OK service was a bit slow but they tried their best overall u can go for ambience
Amazing food.!! My friends from the US had visited India and we came to this place as I know the food is authentic middle eastern food.. which was exactly what my friends wanted to try.
We started off with Shushtaouk Chicken with Hummus and Pita Bread... The chicken was perfectly grilled n had the right balance of grill-tenderness-juicy. The hummus and pita bread was perfect. I am foodie and I would recommend everyone to try this dish. I'll be going there often to try more dishes. Oh and my friends lost their minds tripping on that delicious chicken and ended up ordering the same dish two more times.

Lahm Kobideh Kebab: Tender and delicious kebab, served with Tomato flavored dip.
Chicken Peri Peri: Chicken was little undercooked and salt was on the higher side.
Chicken Joojeh Kebab: Chicken pieces are smothered in a delicious saffron chicken kabab marinade. Flavourful!!
Lamb Sambsuik: Chunks of perfectly cooked spiced up mutton, circled by hummus and Pita bread. I personally like it
Pita Bread with a platter of four different dips like Hummus, Garlic Mayonnaise, tahini sauce, and Baba Ganoush. Loved all of them.
Lamb Chello Kebab: It is a Persian dish with aromatic saffron rice, flavored with butter, served along with ground meat kebab .
Lahm mandi: A bit disappointed with this, as the rice lacks flavor. But the mutton pieces were extremely tender and flavourful .
Vegetable Biriyani is clearly a high quality dish.The rice is perfectly seasoned and didnot miss the authentic taste of any vegetable .Perfect dish for vegetarians......

Date restaurant is a place which serves authentic middle East cuisine and ambience will give you perfect desert feels. Whole set up will make you feel like you aren't in Hyderabad. They do have indoor and outdoor seating. The temperature in Hyderabad will not show any mercy, I would prefer indoor seating only.
When it comes to food we started with
Chicken peri peri: Chicken was lil chewy and the peri peri sause flavour was not very well mixed.
Lahm kofta : I really liked it. Perfect mixture of Arabian and Indian spices.
Lamb kobideh kebab: kebab was tender and flavourful. Served with garlic and tangy tip. Taste was good.
Chicken jujeh kebab: Small chicken pieces, well marinated in the yogurt based marination sauce. Chicken was grilled and it was soft inside.
Lamb sambsuik: lamb pieces surrounded by hummus and pita bread. Was not very happy with the lamb. Taste was not that great.
Pita Bread was served with four different dips (Hummus, Garlic Mayonnaise, tahini sauce and Baba Ganoush) the pita bread was a little bit thick but soft from inside.
Lamb chello kebab: Flavoured rice with kebab. Rice was cooked in meat stock and the flavour was just perfect.
Shawarma: Shawarma was very juicy and really like the filling.
Lahm mandi: last week when I had this mandi was so impressed and wanted to try once again. But this time was lil disappointed with the rice. Was very dry and the pieces were not very juicy.

I have enjoyed my get together Lunch party at Date Restaurant. We had amazing time with my friends and their kids in a separate dining room with privacy. The main attraction of Date is the Camel (Idol) at the entrance in the sand which make us feel like we are in dessert. I liked the Veg Cigar Roll, Falafel and Hummas with Pita, Veg Mandi & Baklawa. Overall the experience was really good.

From the past few years the number of restaurants that serve middle Eastern cusine has been increasing. Have been here with a group of friends. The ambiance of the restaurant Date is different when compared to the other restaurants . It's a spacious place and has three different types of places to sit. One being a typical way where we can sit on beds and eat food on low rise tables. The centre of attraction is the camel that you see when you enter the restaurant. The food is also good. My personal favorite veg Cigar Rolls and the churmula basted cottage cheese. They have a separate menu for the mocktails also. The only disappointing part is the service. - White cream soup along with chicken gave it a simple texture and is very tasty.
Roasted tomato n basil soup - Tomatoes roasted and made into soup and adding basil to this gave a different flavor and is perfect.
Salads -
Fattoush chicken salad
- Chicken boiled pieces along with some veggies like capsicum,cabbage,tomato,onion along with nachos and salsa is the best thing to have.
Feta olive dip with pita bread
- Pita bread served along with yogurt mixed with olive oil and feta cheese.
Starters -

- The veggies rolled in a sheet of dough made of all purpose flour and they are in the size of cigars and are very crisp.
Cottage shish kebab -
Cottage cheese is nothing but paneer which is grilled along with bell peppers and served with mint flavored sauce.
Harrissa chicken skewers
- The harrissa chicken skewers are the chicken marinated with harrissa sauce and then grilled which was too good in taste.
Charmula basted fish finger - The fish fingers are served along with potato wedges and mayo flavored with tomato and which is a perfect combo for this.
Chicken cydia kebab
- Chicken marinated in yogurt and spices and grilled and then served along with mayo and sauce.

Turkish chicken pizza
- This pizza has pita bread as base and is very thin. Th toppings are veggies and chicken pieces which are cut in the shape of fries and the cheese was perfectly spread.
Main course -
Arabian bbq chicken mandi
- The mandi is served with the bbq flavored chicken pieces and is topped along with cucumber,fried onions,fried kismis,onion and boiled egg sliced into two.They even serve mayo and two types of gravies which makes it even tastier.

Baklava is a turkish dessert which is stuffed with nuts sweetened with sugar syrup and honey and this is the one which you should try.

The staff and the service was good.They are very helpful.
A place with great potential. A well designed corner with all the elements to make it a fun eatery. With quite a few seating options you can make yourself comfortable anywhere. The dingy lighting in some of the areas give a dessert dhaba feel
The menu is Arab and continental. The food wasn’t quite as impressive as the menu. My favourites were the lamb on a bed of hummus. The slightly chewey lamb with pine nuts flavoured with mild Arabic spices and served with fresh pita and hummus was quite nice. The dip platter was another crowd pleaser. The lamb kubideh was also rather decent. The chello Kebab with saffron rice was rather dry, but was still decent. The baklava wasn’t as fresh as I’d hoped. The outer filo pastry was soft and lent a soggy pastry feel.
Prices are decent. Service is decent. Not too crowded with customers tricking in steadily. I’d pay them a visit if I was in the area

A sandy middle eastern corner in Madhapur that aims for an Arab experience. Complete with middle eastern menu, Arab seating and a camel figure smack in the middle of it all.
Although not a fancy place this simple eatery offers both indoor and outdoor, table and floor seating options. A projector adds to the experience especially when you don’t want to miss out on your favourite sports.
The food although not authentic is decent. my favourites from the menu were the dip platter and the lamb kubideh. I was thrown off by the red colour of the Kebabs but the subtleness of the spices had me appreciating the meaty taste which captured the essence of Mediterranean cuisine.
Plating is definitely not their forte and quite a few items were a hit and a miss. The feta cheese and olive dip was quite impressive. The creamy dip tasting strongly of feta perfectly complimented the soft pita breads. The baba ganoush was another hit. Personally not a fan of egg plant but the date made it magical. The hummus was impeccable and made to my favourites
To sum it up date is a quiet place, great for romantic dinners and cosy evenings. Service is decent and so is the price. Bonus: They have Zomato Gold
