Excellent place to hangout with friends. Reasonable prices with a good service. Food tastes good. There is no entertainment like music and TV, but you don't need one if you have enough friends.
Food taste was very nice, Low lightening is good, but there is lot of echo in d hall as they are very much conjested rooms fully enclosed all sides..
I do frequently visit this place.. Special Chicken Biryani is just amazing .. I may say best in the restaurant and starters definitely try chicken lollipop.!

Naan's are perfectly done, achari chicken is hot as we expected and sambar is osm ! Wih extra cashew nuts and ghee toppings. 😃

Shade restaurant located at shivam road. I went there last month,family section was on the ground floor and bar is on the first floor.So i ordered drinks and kheema biryani,kheema biryani was spicy and pretty good.They also arranged screen for projecting ipl matches.

Went for lunch today I am impressed by some of the starter's we ordered other the main course needs a improvement and the service could be a bit more faster the food was coming late otherwise great place to hang out and chill.
A decent place with good ambience but service needs to be improved. I like the shade special chicken biryani. Had got the take away from this place so many times. Along with the biryani, the crispy veg and the chicken 65 is also good. The service is slow which needs to be improved.

I visited this restaurant some three years ago, I enjoyed the food and place was OK, restro is on the ground floor and Bar is upstairs, I remember having hot soup, manchuria and rotis. Taste was good. You can definitely visit the place if it is maintained the same three years ago

Bought chicken biryani would rate it at 4/5 and prawns biryani at 2.5/5 . surabhi in vanasthalipuram serves the best prawn biryani among the places I visited would rate it here at 4/5.

Truley legendary. Don't look out for ambiance and hygiene. It's a sort of nirvana for birayani lovers. If u think paradise is the best place for birayani , visit shade once. The captaving aroma of biryani craves u for more.
They have a airconditoned section too which is not fancy but a better place to eat in peace.
All in all a really fun meal and the biryani made my week ! I'd go back in a heartbeat to sample more.

First of all nice ambience... Light on pocket and heavy and healthy on stomach. The portion control is precise. Service and table setup should be improved. Pretty good tasty food starters such as Dragon chicken, kababs are commendable even the biriyani is good. Overall it's worthy and a pretty good experience...
Loved the kebabs. After my meal both me and my tummy were happy. Dragon chicken is a must try.

Another regular for me simply because its nearby the place I stay. Awesome food with good ambiance but really slow service. One of the best places which serves really good sea food. Grilled fish, crispy prawns, chicken kebabs are too good. Added to that it servers liquor too and due to which at times this place will be too crowded and tests your patience. Eventually, the slow service and the waiting is totally worth it for the taste of the food served here.

Visited this place last month. The ambience had a mixture of elements. They were dark at some places at bright at some. I dint know the intention by mixed ambience. Keeping aside this, the food was really awesome. But the gravy in the starters were bit bland. Very economical and good Restaurant that would not burn all of your money. A visit for dinner is advisable.

The chicken biryani at this place is a must try! You will find different kinds of spices when digging through the biryani which brings a different taste and just melts in your mouth!! The downside being very slow service. However, the takeaway facility is good and they also offer home delivery for residents in a radius of 3kms!!
Food was awesome, nice quality. The Management was very good and the way they react to the customers was appreciable.
Hope they will add some more varieties.

The food here is good. especially the starters are spicy, hot & excellent. But I would caution people going there. Be ready to be waited long long time. It depends on the number of people in the restaurent. Its not a big place but I guess its hugely understaffed. I have seen people get annoyed and leave after 20 minutes and still not getting the first item. So you need to be lucky not to have any other table filled other than yours. They might have around 6 tables I guess. The other day I hosted party for 16 members and we all were hugely disappointed!! the taste was good, but inspite of letting the management know about our plan a day in advance, we were served very badly and were kept waiting for hours. The nice taste was easily forgotten by the long wait. Try home delivery or come here if you can wait

SHADE as the name suggests the place is under the shade of may be 4-5 Big trunked long trees and is surrounded by small bushes and and creepers neatly landscaped. It is located on the very popular shivam road quite opposite to the ATI (Advanced Training Institute). if you are here for the first time its hard and takes some time to discover the prescence of the restaurant.
Being inaugurated in the year 2010, 3 years ago it has been a very good opening for the restaurant with its quality, ambience and service, with not much competioion around it. Its been nearly a year and half that they have started a bar at the first level of the same building. As we enter the restaurant we get to see the Main Counter in the open corridor which does the billing for restaurant on ground floor and Bar in the first floor. They also have some seating arrangements for the people who tend to wait for their turn to get into the restaurant on the busy weekends, also for the people who come for the takeaway.
The ambience inside the restaurant is quite typical with very dim lighting and it is very hard to find who is sitting on the table next to you. The service of the stewards and the captain has to be appreciated, as is it very dark over there and its hard to point a steward for any requirement, they are very attentive and back of us for quick service. whereas the service in the bar sectionhas some delays and lags, hope they resolve the issues soon.
The Food here is Insane, right from the Appetizers, Starters, Main Course, everything was very well executed. I had love towards their starters, whenever I have a booze party with my friends we intend to get the snacks from this place. Thier Main Course has wide variety of Indian Breads, Indian, Mughlai curries. Their Biryani has to be given a special token of appreciation as they do it very good, especially Chicken Biryani and that too Boneless. which has a proper blend of spices and very well made to perfection.
Signature Dishes : Chicken Biryani, Methi chaman, Butter chicken, Masala Kulcha, Tandoor delicacies, Veg 65, Chicken Majestic, Panner delicacies.

The place is bang opposite to the shivam road bus stop.
Family restaurant is located on the ground floor and the bar is located on the first floor.
The interiors are dark.
Food quality is acceptable for the price point they are offered at and chineese is heavily customised to local tastes.
Service though is on the better part but orders take a long time to arrive.

Located bang on Shivam Street, the minute we entered this restaurant, darkness hit me like a cave. Ambience that is best suited for couples-in-love, I went there with my parents-in-law, my baby son, besides my love(ly wife) :-) So instead of a cosy, fiddle-in-the-darkness romantic mood, the tone was laden with family humour, what with quips like "the place is intentionally dark so that you don't realise even if there are flies in the food". More than a place darkened on purpose, it seemed like a place darkened by a blackout or trying to conserve energy.
WHAT WE ATE:
Shade's Special Chicken Biryani: Loved the taste; perfect amount of chilli spice. Quantity sufficient for two people. And boneless chicken - yay!
Mayuri Chicken: The tanginess surprised me considering the deceptive red colour. At first, it felt like someone else had squeezed the lime on my plate of boneless chicken, but it took me a few seconds to like the taste of it. Perfectly cooked!
Gobi Manchurian: Not textbook "manchurian", but I really loved their spin on the ever-customizable dish of India. Good balance of crispness/wetness.
It was a little difficult to get the waiters' attention with all the darkness, but once they were at our table, the service was good. They did a neat job of helping serve the food onto our plates. Value for money was pretty decent.
I would probably order for home delivery next time.
