The best place to get your day going. The food here is the best experience one can have.
This place can never disappoint you. ๐
A small tiffin outlet in Yousufguda which is almost always crowded. Ordered idlis, masala dosa and pesarattu dosa. They serve the items along with 2 chutneys and a podi. No sambar. The taste was good. As they have rennovated the place recently, it is clean and you might get a chair to sit and eat as well. It's a self service place so giving the order and getting it might be difficult because of the crowd.
Google map rightly directs you to this place. Parking of car is a problem as the road is narrow. If you're in and around this area, can definitely give this place a try. However, I don't think it's worth to travel from some place distant to try the tiffin here (unless, you're a foodie and would like to try every famous eatery in the city ๐)
Been couple of times to one of hyd's legendary breakfast outlets aka Purna Tiffins, Yousufguda. Metro station, Yousufguda is less than 200 Mts away and the place can be spotted pretty easily thanks to its hustling crowd. Hands down ghee Upma Pesarattu has to be their flagship dish. Dripped in ghee with excellent Upma stuffing and crisp Pesarattu it's worth sampling it for a good breakfast. I've always been fond of their Mysore bondas, which are truly crisp and soft. However, wada and idly are decent and rank upto to the nominal standards. One last shout out for their chutneys and spicy podi which can give the likes of sirracha a run for its money. Suggestion would be to have a liquid hand wash and a bit of more hygiene standards.
Ghee idlis were awesome. So must have when you are in Hyderabad. Tasty ginger chutney to tag along with the ghee idlis. Pesarattu Upma was also tasted good but the pooris, vada and Mysore bonda were pretty regular.Recenty they also got the place renovated. Overall a must visit for their ghee idli.

Excellent quality of food available. Yummy and tasty Andhrapradesh snacks. Worth it for price. Decent people. Best way parcel and have it at home with near and dear. Srivallinath
Went there on Sunday morning 7 am. Rush starts after 8 , so be there early to enjoy a relaxed meal.
Dosa must try. Ghee idli over priced ..
Vada is a 50/50. A hot cup of tea would have been just great which sadly they don't serve
Puri was made with maida ..
Ambince rugged you sit inside the kitchen
Tip : try to reach by 7. Latest by 730 on weekends
Carry water and tea (if u like )
Deal directly with the person on the counter person .
This historical tiny palace is located in yousoufguda... famous for it's breakfast tiffins, they serve idly and various types of dosa.
Their speciality is Ghee idly....it will just melt in your mouth in no time. Its always crowded and usually just wind up everything by 10.30am. The distinct thing about their idly dosa is the quality of their batter which makes the difference.
If you want to visit the place I will recommend you to go by 8.30 am to have the most satisfying start to your day.
Price-5/5

This place is my go to place when ever I crave for good coconut chutney and ghee idly in Hyderabad. The ghee idli is just too much heavenly and you'd want to sleep soon after you have a plate. Their pesarattu upma is also to die for
Purna tiffins - one of the most popular places in krishnanagar with some outstanding food. If it is with ghee that you will love it for sure. The hygiene for sure a problem but cannot expect more from this place.

After so many days visited this place for breakfast.
It is famous for Ghee IDLY , Ghee upmapesarattu.
It is self service place , bought hot hot idly and ghee on top of it along with 3 varieties of chutnies and karampodi. Very good.
Friendly staff. And one of the best dosas I have had. I was there even when mahendra Singh dhoni visited this place. Keep up the good work poorna tiffin center
This tiffin center at yousufguda is hostorically famous for its lip smacking ghee Idly and ghee dosas. They are served with 3 different chutneys and ghee over it. The thalimpu over chutney is handpicked and put on it. One would not just go without having Idly alone also have some dosas or vada and puri. The service is good rates seems bit higher but ghee makes it worth sometimes.
I know people eat idlys with Ghee on top but for the first time saw that people server Ghee with idly as side dish. Chutney quantity is less than ghee
I've been visiting this place since many years. I somehow feel the prices are a bit on the higher side now though the food is great. Top class idly Wada and dosa.
Ambiance - There is nothing called Ambiance here. Just sit and eat. Everything is being cooked, prepared, washed in front of you. It's mainly a roadside eatery.
Food -
Idli - The Idli's are soft and will just melt in your mouth. The quality of batter is quite good.
Rating - 4.5/5
Punugulu - It's cold but soft from inside and crunchy from outside. The taste is better than other punugulu however it lacks mild sourness which is there in a typical punugulu.
Rating - 3.5/5
Sambhar vada - It's punugulu plus onion.
Rating - 3.5/5
Parantha plus curry - They say chapati but it's Parantha. The potato based curry has good amount of tomato but taste good with lemon. It's a homely meal with decent amount of khada masala. The Parantha was prepared well
Rating - 3.5/5
Pessaruttu - You will get strong taste of dal used in it. It lacks crispiness. Prepared well though. Filling is of onion and grated chilli.
Rating - 3/5
Upma dosa - The dosa is soft and the upma is having mild but a homely taste. It's having a homely taste mainly due to the high quality of ingredients used.
Rating - 4/5
Chutney - They have gonghura, peanut and ginger chutney. Peanut chutney is not spicy. Ginger Chutney is having a typical taste of a ginger pickle.
Rating - 3.5/5
Idly and pesarattu must try items here.... Ghee unlimited. Home style food. Little difficulty in finding the location. I ate ghee idly karam dosa and pesarattu.. Ghee idly and pesarattu are yummy...
I heard a lot about this place. Was in my wish list from long time. I was nearby on a Saturday morning so I decided to go for breakfast at 11.30am( they close at 12noon ).
๐ I had their signature ghee karampodi idli - it was just mind blowing. The ghee, soft idli's and the freshly churned chutneys is top class. 5/5
๐ Ghee masala dosa - perfect thin dosa with masala and loaded with ghee. Again.. the chutneys. I feel this is what makes them special. The chutneys and ghee in every dish ๐
๐ Poori - the regular Poori tasted good enough. Size of Poori was big. โ๏ธ
Keeping the food aside one thing that makes me go again is the service. The sweet owner and Ganesh ( who makes dosas non stop ) were very friendly and with an welcoming attitude. That is what makes a complete meal. ๐
Must try ๐
Now I came to know why Pawan kalyan used to get food from here!! No words to describe. Simply just woww!! Ghee dosa en ghee idly was awesome.
One the best place to have ghee idli. Melts in your mouth. But little unhygienic. Avoid during rainy season. But must try. The chutney and podi is also awesome
This is a hidden gem. A typical old school tiffin centre. One can get homely feels rather than hotel feels. The owner personally serves you and gives you company while you enjoy the mouth watering breakfast. Ghee idli is the best among the amazing dishes they serve. It just melts in your mouth. The chutneys that accompany are also good. Apart from ghee idli, the kaaram dosa, the upma pesarattu are packed with flavour. Visit this place before 8 in the morning to sit and eat peacefully.
Delicious mouth watering Tiffin's.not a dine in place..But very authentic taste.visited with my friendS..Upma pesarattu is a speciality here.love this place.
Great place to have South Indian tiffin items. Love their Ghee Idly, all their dosa varieties. Didn't like their chapatti. And we should eat food there only, somehow the flavour is completly lost if we bring home the parcels. Very difficult to find parking for the car, should go early in the morning before 8.00 AM to have a peaceful breakfast.
My everyday breakfast spot during 2015. I like the idlis. Too delicious, like the difference types of chutneys they offer. Must try nai idli and upma pesarattu
Though I am not a great fan of places with low ambiance, my love for food dominated. I have visited this place for morning breakfast last week. We have ordered Ghee idly, vada, masala dosa and ghee karam dosa. Ghee idly was just yummylicious. Sumanth Rakesh
Looking for ambience? Forget it. Looking for great South Indianย (read Andhra) snacks - this is your place. Situated in a small lane in Yousufguda, this was on my list for a long time and I went there this last Sunday. All reviewers have spoken about their idlis - clearly this is the winning item here. Small, soft, ghee-soaked, delicious. We tried the pesarattu - pretty darn good and the pooris - have them hot.ย
The chutneys are delicious and the 'karampodi' (spice powder) is a stand-out, though if you have a weak stomach, stay away from this.ย
The place has plastic chairs for you to sit and it is a bit dingy, but that's part of the experience. Do NOT bring your car into the lane.ย
Very reasonable - a family of 4 can have a sumptuous breakfast for less than 200/-.
Poorna tiffins is very famous among foodies in Hyderabad. Know for it ghee drenched idlis .
Was here on a Saturday morning , luckily not that crowded .
We started with ghee idli and wada.
As recommended by every one this place serves one of the softest idli in town. Small idlis with lots of ghee on it . They serve it with 3 chutneys and karampodi .
The wada were also very good here . Small wada with onions in it.
Upma was decent here.
Didn't like the ghee upma dosa with only onions and upma init .no masala and was on the less spicy side .
The karampodi dosa and onion pesaraattu was good.
All of these were served with 3 chutneys and karampodi , Which were delicious.
These place is a simple setup with hardly any ambience and parking for 4 wheelers is an issue here.
I had seen some reviews about tiffins here from foodies and while passing by this area stopped here and tried there signature ghee idli and onion dosa.
Ghee Idli priced 40Rs, small idli's with loads of ghee accompanied with 2 chutneys and karam (gunpowder). Taste was awesome.
Onion dosa with karam was made with full of oil and tasted good with 3 Chutneys served and left over ghee on plate. Priced 35Rs.
Value for money.
This was on my list. But finally went. Had ghee idi. They are so soft. And ordered ghee upma pessaratu.๐๐๐๐. It was so good. the amount of ghee is higher on side. and had poori which is normal.f fourth item was punuku which was ok ok.and the ambience is normal. Go in the early morning. Or this place is rushed. And it's tough for parking
Very famous Tiffin point in Krishna Nagar, All the items in the menu are good but I love ghee idly and ghee upma pesarattu.
Chutneys and powders are also good, I usually visit this place on weekends.
Taste 4/5
Ambience :2.5/5
VFM 3.5/5
This place serves as a famous landmark in Yousufguda which has been around since ages. Nothing seems to be changed about this place ย over the past ย few years.Their Ghee Idly,Gunpowder Idly and Upma Pesarattu ย are highly recommended.ย
Disclaimer: No proper parking and ย hygiene is a compromise.
This place can only be visited during early hours of the day ... Like in the mornings! ..As there's no parking space and the area is way too crowded all throughout the day ...But just for the tasty idlis and Dosa's u gotta check into this place.
It has been a weekly routine for me having breakfast here from past 2 months coming all the way from Himayathnagar just to have their awesome Idly's, Pesarattu and most awesome poori's . Special mention to their chutney's and karampodi. I like the aloo sabzi they serve with poori's. It is rare these days getting such good curry with poori's.
To beat the crowd visit it before 8'O clock in the morning.ย
If you are concerned about ambiance just get the breakfast packed and move .
The food is good ,. Bt way of serving is not fine , n. Sitting places are not so good as much ,. Its a budget based hotel ,. Its ok , u can have good food !!!
A well known place for good breakfast. Been here numerous times, nothing changed much till date. They couldve focused on improving tidiness n the ambience atleast after ages. Being very oftenly visitng place, nothing exciting me now to visit to taste something special. Considering the locality n ambience one may think that the prices are a bit on higher side. But still you cant compare it to places like Chutneys for obvious reasons, this will fall into different category.
Well coming to the food being offered, ghee idly ofcourse! One should try it blindfolded the moment you step into this place. All other items on menu card will tastes good n a big thumbs up for the food quality they are maintaining since years.
My rating
Food - 4.5
Staff - excuse me! R u expecting well suited men here?
Ambience - sorry guys... not a place to look for

Tiffins almost at best but in particular Ghee Idli,Chapathi, upma pesarattu are my favourite ambience ok crowd decent better go with friends..Basti tiffin Masti tiffin
One of the most known place in Yousufguda.
This place is known for ghee idly and dosas.
Place is very busy all the time and not maintained properly.
Ordered ghee idly and ghee Upma dosa, ghee masala dosa.
All the items are good and had enough amount of ghee.
No place for proper parking.
But the food is good.
I've started visiting this place since 3yrs. Went for breakfast today morning. Special ghee idly is my all time favourite here. Prices are not so high when compared to Chutneys and all others and not so less when compared to other local food bandis. Taste wise it's the best place to visit. Ghee idly & pesarattu are must try.
It took 4 years for me to get to know this place .
One of the best ghee idly i have had. Dosa is nice . You will for sure relish the food here. Mainly the coconut chutney and sweet ginger chutney. You usually get this kind of food in coastal andhra but i can say that you can get it here at poorna tiffins.
Will visit quite often for sure from now on . ๐ฌ
Ghee idly is a must try , I would say best in twin cities. Groundnut chutney would have been great instead of the putnala chutney which is served
Reach there before 8am to avoid the crowd
Ambience isnt what you look for in places like this... Awesome taste... Served in banana leaf placed in a plate....ghee Idly and pesarattu are a must try... Chutneys are good and this place goes lively whole morning... Evening snacks are ok! Very famous amongst the film stars who visit this place once in a while but u cant see them as they are somewhere in their cars and a person serves them to their cars!
Visited this place and found the appearance similar to a shabby street corner eating jaunt without even the basic amenities, where the crowd has it hard, just to find a foot space to stand (Specially if it is in the morning time). The service vis-a-vis the crowd management is effective and the packing/serving staff need to be complimented for this. I tried Poori and Ghee Idly, both of which are really yummy. The Onion - Potato - Gram (Besan) floor curry, ย that goes as an accompaniment to Poori, typically in the AP Towns like VJA, RJY, NLR etc., is served here and that's the best part of poori here. As a matter of fact I frantically looked out for a South Indian Restaurant in Hyderabad serving this curry as an accompaniment to Poori till I found this place. I personally feel that this curry goes better with Poori in comparison with the Masala Curry that is normally served in Hyderabadi Restaurants. Thus, I would say that this is one single reason that could bring me back to this place repeatedly apart from the generally good taste that the dishes and their accompaniments offered here.
The best Ghee Idlys you can ever get in Hyderabad..IMO, Upma dosa with all the tasty chutneys..will surely come back to try the other items.
It is not a hangout place to sit and have tiffin, But again nobody bothers that, it's a very small shop with two shutters, but u cannot imagine the crowd there, right from a Cycle to BMW, everybody stops there and wait for their turn to eat the yumm tiffins here. Don't miss
Value for Money.
One of the Famous and Best places to have Tasty Breakfast.
Ghee Idly and Upma Pesarattu are famous here.
Ambience is average.
Quality & Taste are Superb. ๐๐๐๐
Note: They do not have branches.
Small Tiffin's centre but its very famous hear..all d star's are order tifins hear I orderd ghee idly and dosh bouth are so yummmyyyy I love d food came back again hear
Ghee idly & Ghee upma dosa, are my favorites here. This is a small place located behind krishna Nagar, Lil tough to find find for some. We used to get up early mrng and go to this place for idly and dosa. Puri is also good. If you don't mind ambiance then this is amazing. They even serve food in da car...

This is undeniably ย one of the best breakfast places in Hyderabad which serves authentic andhra tiffins. I visited this multiple times and every time I had 1 plate ghee idly, 1 plate sada idly & 1 plate puri. All three items are super duper...idly is very soft and one plate is not at all sufficient and ghee+podi which they serve is authentic and outstanding. They serve hot puri with bombai chutney which is also yummy.ย
Heard that this is also very famous for pesarattu upma , but I didnt tried it.
Very small place, so you have to be ready to play musical chair for seating! lolย
Price is apt for the amount of ghee they put on idly and for the taste & quality they offer
Parking is a bit problem, thats why I guess you see lot of big orders for take away!
This place is definitely one of the best tiffin joints in Hyderabad. Especially for early morning breakfast. It gets crowded after 8am so visits as early as possible. Don't miss ghee idly and masala dosa. Car dine is available and the service is good too. Thumbs up!
Do not miss the ghee idli and upma dosa!
Authentic andhra tiffins!
But this place will get super crowded by 9!
So visit it as early as possible!
The best breakfast place in Hyderabad if you are looking for proper idlis and dosas. Taste which feels like home. Chutneys are too good. Off late have been liking poori and the curry a lot
I found this place with little difficulty as it's not on the main road, It's looked like they didn't clean that since ages.
They took lots of time to pack the food although there are a very few people, after looking at that place I felt little upset that I choose to have my Sunday breakfast there, I didn't go inside but my brother went there for the parcel, he came back after around 45 minutes successfully with our order.
I felt little scary to taste that food but just tried it, that's it that's magical, it tasted really awesome and it helped me to get out of the negative picture of that place.
But the price is too high and the quantity is too low, one plate of food from there is definitely not gonna satisfy anyone's stomach.
Taste 5/5
Cleanliness 1/5
Ambience 3/5
The incidences which actually disappointed me are, I am standing beside the hotel while my brother went to bring the food, people around just stared me as if I am a alien, the another thing is the guy who is making dosa's came onto the middle of the road and has spit out there, this scene is definitely not something which someone wants to see.
Anyway I will definitely go for food there along with my brother ๐
so that he will take the pain of getting tiffin from there meanwhile I will go around and look out the place.
Btw I visited that place on the recommendation of Zomato, it is really worth a trial but just ignore the sorroundings, take your parcel and eat it at home.
I loved their coconut chutney and coming to Ginger chutney it really had that punch of ginger which generally lacks in any other place.
A famous typical South Indian food joint in the by lanes of Krishna Nagar, Yusuf Guda ( After Yusufguda Check post while coming from Ameerpet towards Annapurna Studios , cross Kotla Vijaya Bhaskar Reddy Indoor Stadium, followed by a Devi temple then take Right, yes ! you are there)
Opens at wee hours and the street is filled with vehicles! Note a couple of points here - there is no ample parking esp if ur ride is a four wheeler, if it is a 2 wheeler - manageable, Next - Limited seating(very basic neelkaml type) arrangement,no tables.
Ambiance - Nothing to write about, even some "corporate people" may have apprehensions at the first look, but don't go by looks, get inside taste the food...
Ghee Idly - Piping hot Idly topped with tons of ghee with Coconut &Ginger chutneys, specially made powder topped with ghee - Idlies super smooth, a must try.
Ghee Upma Pesarattu - Very Authentic in taste , crispy & melts in mouth
Ghee Karam Dosa - Awesome
Poori - Very tasty when had with Aloo & Onion curry with a touch of coconut chutney
Overall Purna gives you a purn (Complete) breakfast, don't worry with hygiene & calories , if you have love for food you can have a crush here!
Pricing is on little higher side (may be brand - as i heard this is place is famous among Film fraternity), but ok considering the taste.
Service - staff always willing to serve!
A must try for a food lover, If you are around Yusufguda !
One of the best south Indian tiffin joints in Hyderabad! If u want breakfast on a lazy sunday, give this place a miss. Its sold out and closed by 8:30-9:00 am! Somedays even earlier. The food is authentic and one can never be disappointed. Car dine facility is available so the ambiance is no worry.
One of the good places to have very early morning breakfast... Yes at 4:30 or 5 AM itself in Hyderabad . Their ghee idly and ghee dosa are mouthwatering. A must try for foodies

I was introduced to this place by a colleague. Hidden in the by lanes of Yousufguda, I've been informed that this place was favored by even film stars...not sure how true that statement is.
But was is true that this place deserves all the 4.5 stars for the food they offer. The Ghee Idli they serve is a winner. No wonder at 4:30am odd in the morning, the entire lane is filled with people on bikes and cars waiting to get their share.
The prices are slightly higher in comparison but that's small fare for what you get in terms of taste and availability at 4am in the morning. The Idli's were soft, piping hot with a generous amount of Ghee topped on them.
Service is prompt and no nonsense. Limited seating available in the place. No tables I could see at that point in the morning.
If you are coming from work after a night shift or passing through Yousufguda at wee hours of the morning...this place is highly recommended. I can vouch for the Ghee Idli they serve.
P.S: 4 wheeler parking can be issue sometimes in the small lanes.

the south indian break fast was spectacular here, but there is absolute dis regard for hygiene.i wonder how health authorities still let this place be.food though was over whelming.
Thanx Zomato for listing this tiffin center...have been to this plaxe in 2012 wen i didnt have any clue abt anything of hyd...i juz have a faint idea till nw and VOILA...zomato helps me find it again...
Abt the food...its out of the world taste here...was with my mom here...she loved the ghee idli nd i loved the ghee masala dosa...the aroma nd taste of the freshest food still tingles on my tongue...!!!!
I adore this place ,their ghee idlis are out of this world and it is one of the best places in the city to have a pessarattu .The prices are quite economical and they serve your food to the car.Do check it out if you love traditional breakfast :)
My favorite place for breakfast which is open in the early morning from 4am to 11am n in the evening for snacks.
Double shetter wid zero ambience n they serve to the car .ghee idly with chutney is heaven here.it just melts in ur mouth .
Ghee karam dosa n onion dosa are a must try here.
It's a vfm place to satisfy ur taste buds
Awesome. No other tiffin center can replace it. We went from kukatpally to this spot for tiffin. Price is quite high like 60rs ghee dosa. But taste is awesome. Try for idli as it is one of their specials. Pls don't opt for puri, you will end up with a bad choice. Here it is special for ghee dishes. We were 5 people and the bill was around 700. But it was a very good foodie spot.
Loveeee the idlis here! The chutneys are superb, the masala dosa, plain dosasa are very tasty. Always go back for the idlis! Yum!
Only problem is the hygiene. But most of us are not too bothered as we are too much in love with the food.
As part of the new age heritage of the old part of the Nizam city, Purna doesn't disappoint you unless well... you reach later than 9 am when they will send you back empty handed as everything is sold out.
Ghee laden south indian tiffin food is tasty but obviously not for regular consumption if you are planning to live beyond 50! Barely any parking, so make sure you take either public transport or your smallest vehicle when you visit.
Pure 'Andhra' style .........impressed me :-) and ghee roast dosa? just awww......?? my all time favorite here .......feels like heaven while eating??
I heard of a restaurant that opens in the morning at 6 and shuts by 9 because they sell out. The thought of being sold out in 3 hours seemed rather surprising. However when I visited Purna, I realized why they sell out so fast.
Excellent food. Be it idli or any dosa.
The ghee upma dosa is my favourite. When I saw the guy add generous amounts of ghee, I was worried. When I had my first bite I realized they dont add ghee, they add love to the food.
Breakfast at Purnas is a great way to start the day.
Located at Sri Krishna Nagar, Yousufguda.
We get the Best Quality Dosas here
My personal Favorite is Ghee Upma Dosa
which is Very Delicious and Yummy!!
I heard that tiffins from here go to Shooting spots of Puri Jagannath movies and Many!
Numerouno Hero of Tollywood "Pawan Kalyan" also eats Tiffin getting packed from here :)
idly with ghee and coconut chutney..my gosh. I jus can't explain that feel you get when you're eating that! My suggestion is to ask for extra ghee. But you need to work hard to burn the calories. That's the toughest part here.
the ghee idly is out of the world they serve it steaming hot - masala dosa is good too - its a small place fully packed - Sunday mornings can be disappointing as you find the mercs and BMWs all cramped in in the narrow lane
Its a small tiffin center which is rather dirty to sit and eat but if you have a car dont hesitate. They offer the best ghee idli you will ever have! Do not miss out!
Great place to have some really spicy desi food. They use special ghee for many of the items & its really tasty. The downside is higer prices, less spacious. We need to stand and eat almost all the times.
Awsme to have a desi style tiffin
Located in a small gulley in yousufguda Purna tiffins is a place for South Indian breakfast. The ghee idly with coconut chutney and chilli powder is the speciality here. It's open around 5.30 in the morning and goes on till 10am. A must try once if you guys stay around .
Visited this really small place in krishna nagar twice recently.Had onion dosa nd chapathi...was quite surprised dat such small places can still serve such good quality food nd above all TASTY CHUTNEYS...nd for no cost at all..too affordable...bt if you are looking for proper seating nd ambience then its nt da one.
Went there at around 7:30PM yesterday evening. Would have been very difficult with out the gMaps. Located in Krishna Nagar, beside the Stadium.
They have not got very good ambience. It is not so crowdy when we were there. So we got pretty good service. Ordered Ghee Idly & Ghee Dosa. Ghee Idly reminded me Babai Idly but didn't match it, but good enough. Ghee Dosa is very crispy and we loved it.
Ambience: N/A
Service: 4/5
Food: 4/5
Sexy taste of food.. Yummy items on board..
Bad surounding though.. But food aint to be judged by the ambience..
The butter usage is done dil kholke.. Whereas ghee is used in a bad way..
Ghee Idly and Ghee Dosa. Awesome :-)
Good for take away.
Went back here for breakfast today after a gap of about 10 yrs.
Reached Purna Tiffins by 5am sharp. They were preparing to start and informed me that it would take 30 mins. The first batch of Idlis were ready by 5:40am sharp.
Ate about 3 plates of Ghee Idly and was happy to note that the quality has remained consistent through the years. Eachplate costs about 35/- but it is totally worth the price.
In my opinion, this place is among the Top 3 places for me which serves Idly. The Numero Uno goes to a place called SSS Idly in Vijayawada. But thats a different story altogether..... Anybody fancy a drive down to Vijayawada to have a go at the Best Idlies in the world??
Hear about their ghee Idli from friends made me to visit this place. Idlis was soaked in ghee just appear as marinated for a while. Steaming hot and can hurt your mouth if you eat it fast. Highly recommended.
Great food.
I've tried the ghee idly, poori, vada, dosa and pesaratu. All very tasty. Their chutney's are very tasty too.
Reasonably priced. Cannot expect lower prices.
Fantastic break fast . You need to be there early to avoid the rush and to enjoy the awesome break fast
Do not miss the pesarattu upma and much more
The pure ghee kick starts the taste buds in you
My homp
Ambience 3 and 8 if it's your own car

What differentiates purna tiffins from any other tiffin places is they serve idli totally drenched in ghee. Wonder where they get so much of ghee from !!!
Purna tiffins is located in the lane next to the Indoor stadium at yousufguda and Krishna nagar. The places is not so difficult to reach, having said that do not expect a huge hoarding or glittering lights to identify this restaurant.
The place is open from 5:00 AM, and in the early hours, this place is overcrowded and it is difficult to find a place here. You would find that this place is a little on an expensive side when compared to any other tiffin center, but then the place is worth it. Anything that you order with ghee (Idli/Dosa/Peserettu/Upma) you would be charged Rs 15 extra.
Having heard good reviews about their Ghee Idli I ordered for it. 4 pieces of hot steamed idlis are served on a banana leaf, with gun powder, coconut chutney and ginger chutney and its topped with a thick layer of ghee poured onto it. The idliโs were soft, and the combination of all the chutneys and ghee along with idli was awesome.
Be sure to compromise on the hygiene factor and also be ready to eat it with hands itself as it is difficult to get a spoon. The service is fast but at times the staff is arrogant.
Would definitely go back to try some more tiffins and also their evening snacks
One of my routine tiffin center. Never ate there since i know its not a great place where you can sit n have your breakfast.
The food is good. This tiiffin center became famous bcos of Word of Mouth. Special mention are Ghee Idly n Ghee Dosa, however my hubs favorite being Mysore Bonda.
Its little expensive when considered with other tiffin centers, however its worth spending.
The Breakfast starts as early as 5 am in the morning, so all the ppl who work night shifts have their breakfast after the shift. If you go after 10 am , you hardly find any tiffins.
So ppl who are fond of having breakfast just like my hubs, do visit before 9. Have Happy Breakfast!
This was a place I heard a lot about from numerous people . This is one or the top places in this sleepy city where you have to go early or you will go back home with a empty stomach as they sell out very very quickly . My friends told me that I would have no chance of getting food their in the morning as I being a nocturnal wake up very late .
It was criminal that I have been living in Sri Nagar Colony for 6 months but did not know where Purna Tiffins was , let alone not had food their .
This morning fellow foodies Tribhuvan and Vishnu were with me and suggested we go their for breakfast. Was a little worried it might be closed since it was 9 but thankfully we found the place going on in full swing. Since Vishnu is a regular their we had no trouble finding the place which was very close to my house . Face palm moment for me .
Ghee Idly - Naturally I ordered their much lauded Ghee Idly . There were four pieces with abundance of ghee poured over them and some good measure over the coconut chutney as well . The first nibble itself blew me away . The hot idlis literally melted in my mouth and the chutney was good as well. I am not a big fan of alum chutney and I had very little of that . The idlis vanished in the blink of an eye .
Masala Dosa - I moved on to the next item on the menu which was Masala Dosa . The Dosa master has two different bowls full of chopped onion . One with lots of chili's in it and another one devoid of it . Naturally the one with chili was used for the Masala Dosa. The Dosa was to be honest a bit mediocre after the idlis . Maybe it followed up a great item but still I expected better.
This is a place I will definitely visit at every opportunity to taste their tasty hot ghee idlis . The coconut chutney was second best only to the one I had at Laxman ka Bandi but nevertheless a place worth the hype its been getting in my opinion .

Gheeee idly yummmy...
Gheee dosa yummy...
I heard from lot of people but took lot of time for me do dare go in. This is not a hotel and rather a tiffin counter. Finally one day i was asked to get tiffins from this point to office for weekend work. Most of officemates south/north liked the ghee idly and ghee dosa madly, infact me too. I had visited this place more than 10 times after that. The painful part is my team always asks to get tiffin for weekend work from that point as my residence is closer, i have to.
A small outlet in the narrow lanes of Yosufguda. Difficult to trace, in case if you dont have the proper directions with you. Parking your car is a problem at this place as you might find a parking space only at a distance and might need to walk down in that small lane.
Once you enter, the seating place is very small and might take you 5-10 mins to find yourself a seat on their plastic chairs. Ghee Idli is a must try with its special green and red chutney. The Idly is so soft that it will literally melt in your mouth and you will not realise when your one plate idly is finished and you might want to have more. You can also try Poori Sabji which is also good. Once over with it, if you still have some space left in your stomach, should try the Ghee Roast Pessarattu, a moong daal dosa with lots of ginger and green chillies.
The outlet is closed on Sunday evenings, so plan accordingly to avoid getting a surprise after reaching the outlet.
A very unscheduled visit for me along with one of my friend, located in the by lanes of Krishna Nagar and Yousufguda. It is not so difficult to reach this place, catch hold of any person on the street you would get perfect address of this tiffin center. Ambience wise it would not be to the liking to most of the folks, but this place talks about food only, so one does not care about the interiors. One can find small stools and chairs inside the center, though the flouring looks very unhygienic.
At the entrance you can see huge burner based tawas (dosa/Paratas), large bowls with different chutneys and basins with snacks. Firstly one has to purchase tokens to get the food served. We have ordered for ghee idly which is most famous tiffin here, the idlys are taken out of the idly steamer and served with Ghee Karam podi (gun powder) along with the tempered coconut chutney and ginger chutney. The ginger chutney usually has a faint taste of sweetness and pungent aroma of ginger, but the chutney we had today was sweeter than the actual. The coconut chutney was just fine. The best part is the idlys are completely drenched in Ghee, and when you have these idlys with the chutneys it simply tastes yummy.
Apart from idlys, they also serve different types of dosas, puries, vadas, bondas, mirchi bajjis and many more snacks. Overall the expectation was very high the ground reality was nowhere near to the expectation, but still I can say the idlys were amazing. I would return back to try more tiffins.

this is one of my fav place for breakfast . Purna tiffins distinguishes other tiffin centre's by making ghee idly and ghee dosa . We get coconut chutney instead of groundnut chutney which is awesome . Parking for 4 wheelers is difficult here but bikers can relish the food easily . On the whole I give 3.5 as my rating
One of my dear friends was kind enough to take me to Purna tiffins one day. I remain thankful to him till this day. Purna Tiffins is located in a small lane just after the end of Srinagar Colony Main Road. Go there in the morning and the place hardly has a place to stand. One morsel of the food and you know precisely why.
The menu offers just the basic staples - idly, vada, poori, dosa, etc. What makes the place special is the generous use of pure ghee and a mix of chutneys & podi powders. Idlis are really soft and then made juicer by the ghee. Vadas are crisp and moist. Prices are also very reasonable. Would highly recommend if you are in that part of town.
This is an early morning haunt for many a weekend party goers in HYD. It's a hole in the wall establishment which is at its busiest on a Sat morning at 5.45 AM.
Purna Tiffins has a very limited menu but that's what ensures they serve very good breakfast at a fast rate. Do not miss the Idlis here! They are soft, tasty and loaded with ghee and it goes very well with their coconut chutney and Red chilli-ginger chutney. The dosa is good too. Reminded me of home-made dosas. The vadas here are decent - not excellent but not bad either.
What I love is the use of pure ghee in all thier cooking. And the food is not expensive either. For 3 plates idli (12 nos), 2 dosas, and a plate vada we paid Rs.230. Not bad for a shudh ghee laden breakfast!
