SFC serves the most hygienic food compared to all other fast food restaurants. The are famous for their varieties of nuggets, I prefer lemon peri peri nuggets and the emperor burger is a must try as it is filled with lots and lots of cheese.
Late night is the worst time for me as this is the time my body wants to sleep but my stomach don't allow π Was hungry one great night and wanted to have burger there after saw this place on zomato. Ordered BBQ chicken and classic burger from this place and it didn't disappointed.
It took little time due to some issue in delivery guys app but till the time it reached me burger was still hot and good to go. Chicken Patty is amazing, such crispy and cooked completely. Sometimes what happened that the inside of the Patty remains little uncooked but that was not the case here. Not too heavy on the pocket too, hence found it value for moneyπ°

A fast food chain network similar to KFC. Tried Peri Peri wings as they claimed it as their speciality which tasted good but weren't not so different from regular ones. Also tried BBQ wrap, cheesy chicken burger. Service staff were good and ambiance is decent.
Order is always ready on time. Nicely cooked. Most of the items in the menu will be readily available. Great experience. The place is also good. Well maintained and clean.

I ordered an Aloo Tikki Burger from Southern Fried Chicken. It was a good burger, just that you may feel it is very dry if you don't consume it with a ketchup. Advise to management, please add some mayonnaise to the burger.

Visited this place late afternoon on a weekday.
I booked a table thorugh dineout as they had a offer going on.
During lunch time the place was pretty much deserted except the staff who were very attentive and present.
My sister and I ordered a combo each which we were very satisfied with. But the only complain I have is that the chicken they serve lack flavour a bit, otherwise overall a good experience.
Very good restaurant and everyone will like the burger definitely. And the price is also reasonable. Must visit once then u will start going every weekend

The giant KFC needed a competitor in the fried chicken domain and Southern Fried Chicken from UK looks to be on track to give a good fight to the leader. One of the many controversies surrounding the famous fast food chains is about the way they procure and store meat. And the rumors in social media based on few unconfirmed reports dented their credibility further. SFC looks to have ensured to come clean on that part and they have a completely different model when it comes to handling meat as explained by their manager. They procure fresh meat every day and discard the remaining at the end of the day so freezing and storing meat doesn't come into the picture. This obviously results in relatively high input costs but they have decided to make this their USP and use fresh chicken meat every day.
We were here for a tasting session with a group of foodies so we got to taste most of the items from their menu. We started with Chicken Popcorn and Crispy Fried Chicken Wings, the popcorn was served without any seasonings so tasted a bit bland, they should probably sprinkle over a seasoning which has mix of good spices. The wings however were great, they were juicy and crispy as I would like. The Crispy Fried Chicken was great too, I can't resist comparing it with the one at KFC and must say it was as good as KFC's crispy fried chicken and we could feel a slight difference in terms of freshness of the meat.
Then came the turn of their trademark item from the menu, the Piri Piri Chicken. This is served in multiple flavors like Mango & Lime Piri Piri, Lemon & Herb Piri Piri, Mild Piri Piri, Hot Piri Piri and Xtra Hot Piri Piri. Of these I liked the Lemon & Herb Piri Piri the most, the Hot Piri Piri wasn't too hot to my palate but Xtra Hot Piri Piri could have troubled me, however I didn't try it. They have a nice range of burgers and rice bowls too, the Sweet Chilli Burger we tried was great. They also have the usual combos with French Fries and soft drinks including a nice range of Mojitos.
This is their first outlet in India and they are planning to expand further across Hyderabad and the country in coming months, so if you like Fried Chicken and if you are around Madhapur or any new joints of SFC, definitely try their Piri Piri Chicken.

In today's fast pace life nearly everyone wants to save time which has led to the global fame for the QSR or the Quick Service Restaurant format. But with the quick service business comes the tradeoff in terms of sub-standard, pre prepared foods which doesn't really wow anyone one little bit. And with these unnumerable QSR eateries popping up, its only a few who actually leave a mark.
Southern Fried Chicken is one such place coming down all the way from UK after conquering 77 other countries with over 600 outlets to back their name, setting the first one ever in India here in Madhapur area. Unlike other competing QSRs like KFC who most use frozen poultry, Southern Fried Chicken sources their ingredients on a per day basis thereby ensuring a great food quality. Even though the menu offerings are quite similar, the taste and flavours were what I found to be the distinguishing factor here.
Coming to the food, I tried their Chicken Popcorn, Fried Chicken, Piri Piri Chicken and the Hungry Rice Bowl. Chicken Popcorn had the regular bite sized pieces of chicken fried till golden perfection. While the snack was a perfect shareable among friends, I would have loved to have some seasoning on top be it a peri peri spice or some kind of other flavouring to enchance the taste as it appeared to be quite bland.
Fried Chicken is personally my favourite and even their version didn't disappoint at all. The chicken had a crisp, flaky exterior with a juicy succulent chicken inside which just at the first morsel itself gave an impression of its freshness. Overall, I liked their recipe better than the KFC one which in itself is quite a statement.
Piri Piri Chicken is their take on hot grilled chicken laden with a spicy sauce, with SFC providing 4 options - Mango and Lime, Lemon and Herb, Mild Piri Piri and Hot Piri Piri in increasing level of their heat. I got to try all of their variants and saw each one of them achieving the perfectly juicy texture. As for the flavours, best one in my view was the Hot Piri Piri which had a good amount of kick and another favourite was the Lemon and Herb which wasn't spicy at all but had some really great flavours.
Hungry Rice Bowl was the only disappointment that I had in their menu. The recipe had a drastic amount of black pepper in the rice which made it almost unbearable after a point. Also the gravy provided with the bowl didn't do any good as in itself it just seemed like a thin broth with an overpowering amount of chilli. Maybe a little tweak in the recipe and the dish might come out to be favourable to the Indian palate.
By virtue of its format, the service here at SFC doesn't cause any problems at all. The dishes are prepared quickly in a matter of minutes as all the prep work is done beforehand, exactly how KFC or McDonalds operate. The staff is quite warm and friendly and does offer good recommendations when requested. All in all, Southern Fried Chicken does come as a breath of fresh air in the midst of the big old giants of the food industry and had definitely got a few interesting items to look forward to!

Their take on fried chicken is different and yummy. Their USP happens to be the fact that they procure fresh chicken on a day to day basis and completely avoid frozen chicken.
Fried Chicken - a distinct taste of its own, with an uber crunchy exterior and perfectly cooked interior.
Popcorn chicken - perfect snacks to munch on while we chat. Subtly flavoured crunchy bites.
Hot and Flaky wings - crispy, slightly onion-y flavoured wings that one can't stop eating.
Their signature piri chicken come in 4 varieties Mango, Lemon , mild piri piri , hot piri piri and extra hot. All of these are done superbly well. The meat is grilled instead of being fried.
Their range of mojitos are impressive. Popcorn mojito being my favourite.
A must visit for a newer take on fried chicken.

Chicken Pop Corn - Small chunks of boneless chicken , seasoned with it's spices tingling with your taste buds , was quite good and among the best pop corn chicken I have had in a while .
Regular Fried Chicken - Cooked to the bones , regular Fried Chicken was fantastic , it had a crispy skin the we have all come to associate and love abt fried chicken , the white meat was cooked perfectly and dark meat was moist and juicy. Just the way I like it.
Sweet Chilli Sauce Burger - Now burgers being one my fav meal, I was excited to try this out. Chicken was nice but the Mayo ends up covering a lot more flavour overpowering the sweet chilli sauce.
Veggie Sides - Potato wedges and cheese pops were nice .
Piri Piri Chicken - The star of the dish, grilled to perfection , this comes in variety of four sauces , 2 mild, hot and super hot. I tried the hot one and really enjoyed it. Chilli kicks in later so better be prepared. Have to try this out.
Mint Lemonade - Tasty , soothing and refreshing to taste. Must try.

Southern Fried Chicken UK has opened its first outlet in India at Hyderabad.
The ambience is similar to any other QSR restaurants. Perky posters and a mix of chairs and sofa sitting areas.Staff is polite and helpful.
Their USP is they procure fresh chicken every day ,which reflects in the taste evidently unlike the frozen ones which makes the chicken more chewy.
The pricing was slightly on the lower side compared to the competitors.

The peri peri chicken is the signature dish , coated with sauces of your choice based on the spice level. (Available in very hot,hot, lemon and herb ,mild variants)
They have burger meal options for both veg and non veg.
Amongst the veg sides I liked the veg strips .The cheese balls and the veg rice bowl were not that impressive. The veg rice bowl had an overpowering pepper taste.
Overall:They don't have much in store for vegetarians but non vegetarians should visit to try the tender chicken Peri Peri in sauce of their choice.
I was at SFC the other night to check out this newly opened outlet in Madhapur and was surprised to know that having over 600 outlets across UK, SFC's first outlet in India is at Madhapur, Hyderabad.
What sets them apart from other QSRs is the fact that this chain believes in serving fresh food. They procure fresh chicken early morning and discard the left over at the end of the day, promising a great experience to every customer that steps in.
I had Chicken popcorn, Piri Piri chicken, Fried Chicken along with some refreshing mocktails and I was totally delighted. Piri Piri is what a person with spicy taste buds will fall in love with.
Fried chicken was also tasty. Totally crispy from the outside and extremely tender from the inside, it was cooked to perfection.
I recommend this place to anyone who loves chicken and want to savor some really amazing bites.

Fried chicken- Loved the flavor of their classic fried chicken. The meat didn't taste bland and had a freshness to it which added a whole another dimension that you just don't find in other fried chickens

It was perfectly spiced, crispy on the outside, tender and well done on the inside
Chicken popcorn- Well spiced. Tasty.
Piri piri chicken- This was interesting. It was grilled and had a smoky Flavour to it. There were 3 levels of spice available and two different flavors
Mango and lime piri piri- The sweet notes of the mango flavour gave it a tropical vibe. This fusion tasted pretty good.
Lime and herbs- This had a zesty sour taste that was pretty satisfying. Especially if you're in the mood for a tangy grilled chicken (Favorite)
Mild piri piri- You can taste the flavor of the chilli here. The heat is pretty mild.
Hot piri piri- The chilli doesn't hit you in the first bite. After two or three bites it starts to build up and gets really spicy.
Extra hot piri piri- Super duper spicy. Proceed with caution.
The grilled chickens are all moist, tender with a slight crisp on the outer charred bits. The meat inside doesn't lack flavour either.
Sweet chilli chicken burger- Loaded with mayonnaise. You start to taste the sweet chilli sauce towards the centre. The burger patty is a deep fried piece of chicken breast. The bun is soft and the bun to patty ratio is pretty good.
Over all the burger tasted really good, especially given the price.
Hot and flaky wings- Hot refers to temperature here. They're really not spicy at all. Moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not as flavorful as the fried chicken.
Pop corn mojito- a regular mojito with a popcorn taste to it. Didn't particularly like it but the pop corn taste made me want to sip the interesting concoction again and again.

SFC or Southern Fried Chicken is a UK based fast food chain. They have entered with a bang in Hyderabad by opening their very 1st outlet of India right here. The idea is to provide top quality products by using the freshest ingredients that too at a competitive price.
My visit to this outlet was superb. Got my hands on their Fried Chicken, Chicken Piri Piri, Popcorn Chicken, Hot and Flakey Chicken wings and Veggie wrap with potato wedges.
Fried Chicken- The chicken was absolutely delicious. You can very well differentiate between the taste of their chicken and that of KFC. The best thing is that they use fresh chicken which ensures that the food served would be as fresh as it can be. Special mention for the tenderness of the meat. Must try.
Chicken Piri Piri- This dish was simply wow. SFC serves Piri Piri chicken in an array of variants which are Lemon and Herb, Mild spicy, Mango and Lime, Hot and Xtra Hot. My personal favorite had to be their Lemon and Herb chicken. The juiciness of the meat was comforting to my taste palate. It had a really unique flavor to it, all thanks to the perfect marination of the meat. Highly recommended.
Popcorn Chicken- The only thing which makes a popcorn chicken taste like popcorn chicken is the seasoning. The chicken was crispy and tasted good. A bit of spice could have been there in order to just give it another dimension of flavor to it.
Hot and Flakey Chicken wings- The wings were super hot, super crunchy and lip smacking all in all. Must try.
Veggie wrap with potato wedges- The veggie wrap comprised of whole veggies, rich mayo and was served alongside potato wedges. The wedges were super yummy. Good option for vegan people all together.
Overall, I am really happy to see emergence of such outlets in the city which lay their emphasis on providing Fresh foodstuff. Keep up the good work. Happy eating! :)

Review: People who've been to KFC might be familiar with the fried chicken concept. SFC(southern fried chicken) is one of those that has the same concept.. fried chicken, grilled chicken and a couple of burgers etc..the menu is the same.. I've ordered fried chicken and grilled chicken (Peri Peri flavour)..The one difference I noted here is grilled chicken (let's say smoky grilled in KFC terms) has four different flavors ..we can choose any one of those flavors for our grilled chicken..Taste is quite different compared to KFC .The fried chicken has this ravamix kind of coating and a bit salty in terms of taste,the grill chicken is not the same as smoky grilled as it has around 4 different flavors to add... however .You can give a try as the fried chicken here taste varies compared to KFC..Give this outlet a try!!!

This place is all about lip smacking Chicken cooked to perfection. There are a variety of different chicken dishes on offer which include Fried Chicken, Peri Peri Chicken, Wings, Burgers and Wraps.
We tried the 4pcs Fried Chicken with a large meal along with 4pcs Peri Peri Chicken and a meal of their Signature Empire Burger.
The Fried Chicken was crispy, tender and juicy as it should be. Special mention to the Fries which were long and soft, different and delicious, making Southern Fried Chicken standout from the pack of Fast-food chains in Hyderabad.
Peri peri chicken was wow, hot and tangy, delicious. The chicken was done well. Out of the various places I had peri peri, Southern Fried Chicken is recommended as they have great peri peri sauce.
Coming to the Empire Burger, the chicken breast pc in it is Huge and a bite of this burger will give you cravings for the rest of the week. In short, it's amazing.
The service and ambience is great. I was offered complimentary two PC's chicken wings for my order which is always a good gesture.

Always wanted to have an alternative for KFC but only small local options where available who were not able to match the quantity. A few days back went to SFC a brand from the UK. The place is pretty big and welcome. The USP of the place is that they use fresh chicken and not the frozen ones. We started with the Fried Chicken and fries. As claimed The freshness of the chicken was pretty evident from the first bite itself, the chicken was really tender and juicy, unlike the white fibrous chicken I used to get in KFC. When ordering this, ask for their in-house sauce which goes really well with this. The fries were also very good. After this we ordered, Lemon Herb Piri Piri Chicken, very subtle flavors of lemon and herbs accompanied by the mild kick of Piri Piri made it my favorite. The Piri Piri chicken had three levels Normal Piri Piri, Medium Piri Piri and Extra Piri Piri, talking about Hyderabadi palate and me also the hotness level was pretty low which needs to increase, but the flavors were on point and the chicken in itself was fantastic. The Veggie Fingers were good.
Overall I enjoyed the chicken here and would prefer this anytime over KFC, the freshness and the juiciness of the chicken was just too good.

I didn't know when I finished 2 pieces of chicken and I wanted more.

Had selected the lemon and herbs flavor and it was really the best grilled chicken I have had in a very long time.
The classic burger was fine, the bun being very fresh and fluffy, and the chicken patty was tender too. Though I was expecting it to have a bit more mayonese and cabbage in it, but was fulfilling.
They offered me another burger as this didn't meet my expectations, which is something very rare.
Staff is courteous and service is prompt.
Place has great ambience and they even have a washroom which is not that common in such restaurants.
Being on the Hi-tech city main road, car parking is going to be a problem.

Franchise from a popular chain from UK, this store offers the usual menu of a QSR but with a delectable twist.
To start off with I ordered a full meal of Empire Fillet Burger with potato fries, soda, and Piri Piri Chicken. The best thing about the burger was the fillet. Juicy and fresh chicken fillet, golden fried to perfection. Certainly a stark difference to the frozen and tough chicken in other QSRs. This is a USP as claimed by the brand that they use fresh chicken everyday. The burger felt quite wholesome and went down well with the crisp fries and soda. Next item on the menu, another USP of the place, Piri Piri Chicken. Never have had anything close to this in terms of gastronomic experience. The taste was out of the world. Perfectly char grilled chicken legs and thighs, with a dazzling of secret Piri Piri sauce, served with a dash of lime and pepper sticks. This dish definitely stands out and is one for the ages. You can have it in gradation of spicyness, and I tried the maximum spicy ones.
I got to know about this place by the tastefully done metro pillars adverts on the way to the store, riding on the current IPL hysteria. They are running campaigns for promotion in their stores by naming the winning team of their choice on the current running match from the customers and rewarding the winning customers with coupons for repeat visits. Pretty innovative marketing campaign. Even though my team lost, would definitely visit this place again for it's fresh and tasty fare. In the long run, SFC can definitely give the bigger brands a run for their money, if they stick to their core values. Happy Munching! :)
This the best place for chicken, their slogan is no to frozen food and yes to fresh food is something they really follow, also u would really see the difference in quality and freshness of the chicken, I like the burger and lemon herb chicken.
The piri piri grilled chicken was the juiciest and tastiest chicken I ever had. The popcorn mojito was out of the world. Very innovative and delicious menu. Definitely worth a try!
very nice place to have some decadent fried food with friends and family. comedy shows every monday evening makes it a fun place to be. very prompt and courteous staff.
