This place had a decent ambiance to start with.
And coming to food Guntur Karam Kodi and Karvepaku kodi are perfect to start with.
And also loved their fish tikka.
And in main course it’s Avakaya kodi pulav that win my heart.
These guys really serve some good spicy regional(near regional is better word) food.
Worth giving it a shot.!
Good food, good service.
It’s a good place for dinners with family, a bit on the expensive side but it’s worth it.
Ambience and cutlery were perfect.
Was here few days back for dinner.
Tried dishes :
Guntur karam kodi,
Telangana Kodi kebab,
Tala hua gosht,
Andhra fish fry,
Deccan fish Tikka,
Pachi Mirchi Kodi pulav,
Deccan Kodi biryani.
All the dishes tasted good.
Ambinace was decent and good looking. Service was slow as you have to wait for servers to respond. No complaints other than that.
The rating is for the experience, more than the food which was pretty good as well. We were here for lunch on a weekday. As I had Gourmet Passport, I was entitled for 1+1 buffet, after reaching there we found there was no buffet spread but the chef and the staff were polite enough to serve the buffet on the table. Ambience is decent, staff were very polite and attentive. Coming to food, right from the welcome drink to main course everything was perfect, in desserts four sweets and an ice cream were provided. They would have to work a little on the sweets otherwise it was a perfect lunch.
Would I recommend this place? - Definite Yes.
Try there buffet you would not be disappointed. It is very reasonably priced.
Eat like Kumbhakaran & Drink like Devdas !
Yes you read it right. Thats what this place believes in.From its ambience to its food, Deccan Canteen has throughout maintained its Deccan Swag !

Yesterday I ordered food from this place. I ordered like avakaya papu and 🍅papu taste was yummy and their packing was amazing I love this place I wanna try one more time keep it up.
After a not so good experience with Punjab Grill, decided to try this new place called Deccan Canteen, that opened at the same place as Punjab Grill by the same owner. Glad to see this refreshing new change with a different theme altogether- a South Indian bar and kitchen!
Coming to the food, though I tried just 2 dishes, a starter and a main, with a little suggestion from the server, both were just rightly spiced and tasted really good. The portion sizes were also sufficient.
The menu also had some nice combos which would be perfect for single diners! The menu was also vast and one could get their meats or vegetables cooked in their choice of gravy, which too had an extensive choice apart from the regular pulusu.
Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu!
Kudos to the team!
I came here on last Sunday..a busy place in Hyderabad..authentic south Indian food served here..food was so yummy...and service was outstanding...
Recommended place in city
Must visit again
Good ambience..Great food...starters were tasty..Kodi ghee roast, Telangana chicken kebab.
Main course: Gongura Mutton & Miryala kodi kura were good
Nice ambience and the food department has done a great job, keep doing it. Buffet spread was also good didnt taste it as i went for the ala carte.
The food here is surprisingly good. Gutti Vankaya curry needs a special mention. The mixed veg curry tastes different and nice with a South Indian twist. If the paya was served with shermal it would have been even great! Overall it was a satisfying experience.
We had an awesome dining experience. We had ordered:
1) Telangana Kodi kuda (Telangana style chicken curry served with plain dosas)
2) Bheja fry
We loved everything about this place: food, taste, ambiance and most importantly courteous staff. We had a bit of Andhra on our plates: -)
So, we usually place whatever we would want to have at beginning only (we hate waiting for our food). Since it was a Sunday night and packed with customers, the restaurant had delayed our food. But even before we could complain about our order taking time, the management especially this particular person by name Poorna made sure that something or the other kept sitting on our plates. Right from serving us fries, to green salad to even chicken tikka! All of these were compliments.
What more, we were even served 2 bowls of 4 tiny balls of gulab jamuns as complimentary.
Another commendable point I'd want to make is that they obliged with our request of preparing the dishes as less spicy as possible to suit the taste of people ( like us) who are not used to having hot and fierce andhra cuisines.
Deccan canteen realy gives a royal feel of dining
.authentic south indian food that gives you a flavoufull.i reccomended this place...........

This was the best place I've attend so far and just love the ambience and food and service. The waiter Mahesh is very good at service and response. Had a splendid time here :)
I would say, one of the best places for fine dining. Beautiful ambience, friendly servers, and not to forget the amazing food - It was spicy but yummy. A must go place for someone who loves spicy south Indian food.
Have been to Deccan Canteen recently with couple of my office friends. I really liked the food taste and the service is on point. Mustry dishes guntur karam podi paneer, deccan fish tikka, karivepaku anna, apricot delight.
What got me excited were their dosa/idly/ragi muddha with non veg curry combo!! It's not too often that you see this combination being offered at restaurants, in Hyderabad at least. So we made the trip to Deccan Canteen for a late Sunday lunch.
The place has one of the better views (overlooking KBR park, anyone?), a chic and no-frills décor reflecting local art, AND a full bar!
Coming to the food,
-> Kicked things off with the "Miryala Charu". Nothing to complain, a well spiced and seasoned soup. -> Then we ordered two combos 1) Idly with Natu Kodi Pulusu 2) Ragi Mudda with Mamsam koora
Both the curries were very good (I think they had poppy seeds) and the meat was cooked to perfection. I'd have preferred a little more spice considering the cuisine on offer, but it was delicious nonetheless. Ragi mudda was good as well.
-> Then comes the star of our meal "Mutton Liver Fry". How pleasantly surprised were we to find the liver perfectly cooked with a subtle spice coating. Just beautiful and made a good accompaniment for the curd rice we ordered at the end.
All in all, Deccan Canteen is a perfect place to satisfy your Andhra cuisine cravings. It's one to look out for!
Ambience and concept of the restaurant is great.
Service and hospitality by the management is good.
The special taste for Andhra & Telangana Tradition food .
Easy 5/5. The place is fresh and clean, and the staff is outstanding. The main takeaway (we ate in though) points for me were the delicious food and the efficient, polite, and courteous service.
We came here once before in a group of 20, and even then the service was hassle free and efficient and every dish was outstanding. We were extremely pleased with the service and prices and everything about the restaurant so I made a mental note to come back here for a casual meal. The Bheja fry and rotis are to die for. I haven't had such good bheja fry in Hyderabad for a long time. Chicha's masab tank is a strong contender for this and Deccan Canteen brings the fight to the table in a DELICIOUS way. So good! So good! The vellulli kodi roast was light, fresh, and tasty, so was the guntur karam podi paneer. The beer was icy cold, served in a frosted glass, and cost only 99 a pint. This place is ON PINT (ok, point). The servers are polite, attentive, and don't hang around just over your shoulder all the time like other places that try too hard to please. They even brought this stroll cart with so many pickles on it! The prawn pickle was excellent!
I'm going to go back again, that's for sure. Everything about this place was great so far. No complaints except maybe the lack of items in the beer menu. They only had premium and hoegarden. Thanks Deccan Canteen! Wish you lots of success.
Newbie in the town. Deccan canteen which is the talk of the town since few days. It's located near by Jubilee hills check post. As soon as we enter the restaurant we will be welcomed by huge set of dolls. They have a huge seating capacity which can accommodate upto 100 people at a time. There are two compartments of seating as well, left side compartment & right side compartment. I was here for a weekday lunch with my frnds.
First things first we had started with "Velluli Kodi Charu" it's a kind of chicken stew with lots of spices in it mostly the garlic, if you are having an sore throat do try this. "Dhaniya Shorba" it was subtle in taste to me. The hit of corainder was good, but I felt something was missing.
Appetizers:-
From the veg section we had " Cut mirchi bhajji" big green chillies dissected from the middle, seeds are removed coated well with gram flour & deep fried. Cut into small pieces & garnished with chat masala. It tasted amazing. "Mokka Jonna Kebab" also known as corn kebab. Corn & spice mashed into a fine paste & tawa fried. It was amazing though. "Papdi Chat" kind of chat item, papdi sauteed with sweet chutney, burji & onions. It was good.
From the non veg section we had "Fish Koliwada" fish cut into julienne, coated with all purpose flour, bread crumbs & deep fried. It was crispy from outside & soft from outside. It tasted decent for me. "Velluli Kodi Roast" chicken marinated in home spices & garlic powder which is rotated until perfection. It was spicy enough, but the chicken was little bit hard. "Mutton Ghee roast" mutton pieces marinated well, roasted with huge amount of ghee so that mutton absorbs all the ghee & it gets more flavorful. The mutton was little bit harder to me. "Raju gari royalu" prawns marinated with yogurt, whole spice masala, roasted with green chillies. It was a hell of spicy. Spice lovers will be absolutely love it. "Chettinad chicken" it was subtle, few flavours were missing. "Deccan fish tikka" fish marinated well with Deccan spices, which tasted amazing. The fish was so soft that it was melting as soon as I keep in my mouth.
Main course:-
For main course we had, roti basket along with "Kodi Vepudu", "Kodi iguru" both tasted decent. "Guntur chicken curry" chicken was soft, Juicy & tender, the gravy was spicy. "Dum ka mutton" it tasted amazing, as the flavours were doin their part & none of them were dominating. "Dosa with Chicken curry" crispy dosa with chciken gravy was simply superb. We had other items in maincourse too, but I was full with these as we also should have desserts.
Desserts :-
From desserts we had "Junnu" it was the best one I ever had. "Jilebi with Rabri" lipsmacking dessert which was on top notch. "Apricot delight" it was not upto the mark. Improvement needed. " Rasmalai" it was yumm.
Mokka Jonna Kebab, cut Mirchi bhajji, Raju gari royalu, fish Koliwada, dosa with chicken curry are the dishes recommended by hydfoodie. Well this is my honest opinion on Deccan canteen.

This newbie dishes out authentic South Indian cuisine( Andhra and Telangana ) that are extremely spicy and flavourful. The locals are really fond of Telugu cuisine and thanks to places like Deccan Canteen for taking us back to our basics!
Ambience- The moment you step out of the lift, you'll notice a huge partition wall at the entrance displaying dancing 'Kondapalli Toys!' Conversely, the interiors of this restaurant are fancy with quirky desi images painted on the walls, wooden tables paired with bright red chairs and patterned floor tiles. They've a mini bar set up too. Also, one of the walls is built with large transparent glass window extending all the way from the roof to floor, allowing natural light to flow in. The dining area is spacious too. A great place to hang out with both family and friends you guys!
Food- I was here with fellow bloggers the other day and we tried the following,
SOUPS
So we tried Tomato Dhaniya Shorba, Miryala Charu, Vellulli Kodi Charu and Royyala Shorba. Honesty, I'm in love with their soups that were so light in consistency yet so spicy and flavourful. My personal favourite was Royyala Shorba.

DECCAN CANTEEN
so this place is located pretty close to the jubilee hills checkpost. as you enter you see a partition filled with cute little articles or we can say kuchipudi dolls the ambience is so eye catchy walls creatively painted with Deccan swag and moreover there's nothing to complain about the staff they were so polite and cooperative let's start with the food now !!! Let's begin with soup as usual ....
SOUP
Tomato Shorba : tangy and spicy in taste unlike other soups which are thick but as this was shorba it had to be a lil less thick in nature it was quite good ...
STARTERS
Velluli Kodi Roast : very spicy !!! Perfectly roasted chicken in great typical masala that is mainly garlic...
Raju Gaari Royyalu : these prawns were so spicy that all the spice lovers will surely feel heavenly after having them if you are person who doesn't prefer spicy food then you just can skip it or squeeze a lime to reduce the spice ...
Mutton Ghee Roast : it's been ages since I've had such tender and melt in mouth kinda Mutton roast that too roasted in ghee was like making it more flavoursome !
Papdi Chat : super delicious and healthy saviour with the goodness of veggies simple subtle yet flavourful..
Mokka Jonna Kebab : kebabs made of corn well this was new to me tasted good but the chutney or the dip they've given was super yumm I must say ...
Fish Koliwada : these fish fingers were crispy outside and soft inside served beautifully with salad loved the taste as well as the presentation..
Chettinad chicken : and here comes one more spicy starter which is chettinad Chicken it was not as spicy as the Raju gari Royyalu but we're good enough tho...
Cut Mirchi Bhajji : not a bhajji ya Pakoda fan but the taste here was so good and the presentation was eye appealing served with chutney and salad lovely it looked ....
Murgh Malayi Kebab : well this is not available on the menu but you can ask for it if you want it was so juicy and tender delicious as it is expected to be..
Deccan Fish Tikka : here comes the showstopper the bestest of all Deccan fish Tikka never knew fish Tikka could look and taste this appetising and heavenly 💖 in love with it now ...
DRINKS
Lassi - Deccan canteen doesn't serve ordinary lassi like a huge brass glass they've got a total new idea of art on lassi which looked really pleasing..
Fruit Punch - this is something you'll have it in just one go all the goodness of fresh fruits with a bit of strawberry fruit squash made it really delicious..
Virgin Mojito - do I need to write an introduction for this as well naah but all I would like to say is it was refreshing !!
Mint Cooler Mocktail - this mocktail is something you'd really different than the other one's apart from being refreshing it was also very enjoyable..
MAIN COURSE
Dosa With Telangana Kodi Kura : we usually have does with chutney or sambar but here the combination was chicken curry a hot and crispy dosa with some Lipsmacking South Indian chicken curry what a combination it was 💖. A must try I tell you ..
Roti basket not an assorted one but with the regular one's only ....
Guntur Chicken Curry : this chicken curry was perfect be it flavours spices and presentation topped with Cashew nuts it tasted really amazing...
Gobi Mattar : a mild and subtle flavoured cauliflower with chickpeas curry with is a perfect go with roti
Dum Ka Mutton : the best part about this dish was that the Mutton was perfectly blend with flavours and the gravy was so delicious..
Guddu Iguru & Guddu Vepudu : boiled eggs fried and tossed in spices one was spicy and the other was sour but both had their own qualities...
Steamed Rice With Pacchi Pulusu - perfect basmati steamed rice with a sour and bitter flavoured rasam with a tadka ..
Gongura Chicken Pulav - something different to try a sour leafy vegetable added to chicken Pulav which was not bad tho it was good to try something new ...
Andhra Veg Pulav : a wholesale meal for veggie lovers tasted good can't be expecting more flavours from Pulav but compared to others this was better ....
DESSERTS
Junnu - I really didn't expect this would be served in a restaurant like this as junnu is usually not so much available junnu is like Panna cotta with a pinch of black pepper topped on it !
Jalebi With Rabdi - the bestest combination ever rabdi was sooo good and so was jalebi ..
Apricot Delight - this looked really eye pleasing but didn't reach our expectations as I was expecting so much from it :)
Gulab Jamun - one cannot say no to gulabjamun these yummilicious gulab jamun dipped in sugar syrup they were so delicious ...

If you are a hardcore spice lover and typical Andhra cuisine preferring person then you must surely visit Deccan canteen the service, the ambience , and food they even have a lot of varieties of pickles I had gongura which tasted heavenly everything was really nice you're surely gonna like place and food do visit ☺️
Deccan Canteen is a fine dine-in restaurant located in the prime are of Hyderabad which offers exclusively south Indian food which is quite different in servings. This is a nice place to chill with your friends or to spend some valuable time with your family. The moment I entered this place, I got that super classy feeling by looking at those comfy sofas & pretty tables. This is really a huge space which can accommodate up to 100 people at a time.
.
From the last month, this place has been talk of the Town & heard some good reviews about this place on social media & also from my friends . So, I decided to visit this place and try as many dishes as I can😜. I went there for lunch. To be honest, I expected it'd filled with crowd. But, to my surprise the restaurant is empty 😅 & then people started coming one by one making this place look colorful.
.
I usually start my lunches with mocktails, but this time I started with their south Indian soups which are DHANIYA SHORBA & vellulli Kodi charu. In which, I mostly liked the DHANIYA SHORBA because of the direct hit of coriander flavor to my mouth , where as in vellulli Kodi charu it was warm & soothing is all I can say.
.
So, after soups ... We obviously started having starters . We were given a lot of starters, it took so much time for all of us to finish them😂. There are few vegetarians in our group, so we had to order some vegetarian dishes for them & we chose MOKKA Jonna kebab which is normally known as corn kebab, the kebab is made by mixing corn with maida & some grounded Indian spices & lentils in it which are quite chewy & subtle in spicyness. I had papdi Chaat after so long , I still can't get enough of this amazing dish prepared by the folks of Deccan Canteen. I mean seriously, there is some magic in their hands. They made it so delicious that I didn't had this kinda Chaat in my life in any restaurant. So, after having 2 veg starters we moved on to non-veg vegetarian section. We had a look at the menu & there were lot of sections in starters naming tandoor, kebabs, fried items & some other thing😅. We asked waiters to suggest us some best dishes on their menu & they brought us Mutton ghee roast which texture was so hard ,but it really tasted delicious. Fish KOLIWADA is similar to fish fingers, but the preparation of it is quite different from other versions of fish. We also had fish Tikka which was so so so so so so so sooooooooo good in taste which was sooooooooo soft and it melted in my mouth in no time. Raju gari Kodi ROYYALU is something you can't miss at this place. The moment you see this starter, I bet you are gonna fall in love with this dish because of it's golden color which was so appealing & that doesn't make you wait to try it. Cut Mirchi wasn't that spicy , but if want it to be spicy you can ask them to make it according to your taste & preferences. They also have some amazing breakfast combos. In which, I tried one combo which is Masala dosa with Telangana chicken curry. Usually, I love dosas more than anything in south indian breakfast & chicken curry in lunch. So, if you give a person's most loved items in one dish , you know he is going to heaven after tasting those items 😜
.
Enough of starters, Now i'm gonna take you into their main course section in which we had a bunch of Indian breads like garlic naan, butter naan, tandoori roti & kulcha. I totally loved the flavors in Gobi mutter & guntur chicken curry. Especially, in the guntur chicken curry I got that spicy hint of guntur chilly in it. So, this makes my favorite curry in their whole main course section.
.
You know what?? Coming to a south Indian restaurant & not having rice items is a sin😝😝 . Andhra veg pulao is really great with it's flavors & subtle spicyness. Coz, that is what makes a pulao perfectly delicious.
.
What's next??
.
Yes, you're right. It's desserts time now😉. I had a lot of expectations for their desserts, coz I taught they'd be offering us some south Indian desserts/ sweets , but most of them are North Indian ones except junnu. Starting off with gulab jamun, it was so sweet ... I mean the sweetness in it is more than required. They really have to work on it. Jalebi with rabri was fantastic in taste. But, I thought if rabri is some what more thicker it would have been perfect. Junnu was so soft & it's jiggling while I was try to cut it😂. But, it tasted fantasticslly good. I tried apricot delight in many places & most of those places served it in a correct way. But, here I was shocked & Disappointed by looking at this dessert in this place. Because, it mostly looks like a pineapple pastry & it was awful.
.
.
Thank you, Deccan Canteen
.
Regards, Hyderabadfoodbowl
This place has some seriously good looking ambiance with some interesting south indian menu or shall I say mostly andhra cuisine? Well, whatever it is, the food was pretty decent here. Had been here for a lunch tasting session on a weekday. Some great food and good conversations reminds me to this place. So we are huge in number and so ordered few more appetizers than in general. Also soups! As they are more in number, would like to write the names in detail below
Soups:
Vellulli kodi charu
Tomato dhaniya shorba
Royyala shorba
Appetizers:
Papdi chat - tasted real great.
Cut mirchi - perfect cut mirchi taste (that southindian feels)
Mokka jonna kabab - Corn Kabab - Good!
Vellulli kodi roast ( Garlic chicken roast) - Expected to be garlicky, but spicy yet tasty.
Chettinad kodi ( chettinad chicken dry) - Expected to be spicy but medium spicy yet tasty.
Mutton ghee roast - Excellent. Very tender pieces of mutton and the ghee compensated the taste. Recommended.
Fish koliwada - spicy and very tasty. Recommended.
Deccan fish tikka - Great and it totally tasted like a north indian tikka.
Raju gari royyalu- spicy and good.
The main course gave us a punch on the face to remind our southindian souls and I’m absolutely pleased by the amount of the effort they put in preparing such good food. We have ordered some veg and non veg curries (as we call in) with some assorted indian breads. Also some rice and dosa for a change. A special point to be mentioned, we have picklesss guyss!! Pickles of various varieties and I had my al time favourite gongura. They also had some great pickles in nonveg. Prawns pickle is highly recommended. The food and review is listed below.
Gobi matar - Tasted good
Guddu vepudu and iguru - Excellent! Must try!
Guntur chicken - spicy and tasty
Dum ka mutton - juicy and good
Assorted breads - nice and soft.
.
.
Andhra veg pulao - perfect veg pulao. Highly recommended!
Gongura chicken pulao - sour taste of gongura, good.
Steamed rice with pachi pulusu - great with ghee in the rice. Recommended one!
Dosa with telangana chicken - Excellent and spicy. Recommended.
.
.
Though I am not a sweet tooth, desserts tasted great except the apricot delight. We had
Jalebi with rabdi
Junnu
Gulab jamun
Rasmalai
Apricot delight
Overall it was a god experience being to the place which has some nice south indian vibe and a decent food. Try the recommended food and you will thank me later. Also this place is great for a quick weekday lunch. The service and the staff looks quick and humble,
Ambience is good. i say food was great(i mean it)Overall experience was awesome.I'll recommend dis hotel to every Team lunch, couple and families. You wont regret, just be there.
The ambience was good and comes to the food was pretty good and in deserts junnu was good.finally must visit place. The service was fast and quick.
In love with this one. Andhra cuisine at it's best. Apicy food lovers are gonna have a gala time. Service is quick. I particularly liked the combos.
Bagaara Rice with khatti dal and Andhra chicken curry. Could all rave only about khatti dal, it's that good. A must try. Also had Gaare with chicken curry. This was nice too. Went around the second time and ordered the same combo, somehow the curry tasted and looked different. Upon request, they sorted it. If not it was a 5. Those little kondapalli bommalu at entrance are a delight . Btw the pickles here are awesome. There's a whole cart for it
I was planning to visit this place since it was opened as I was so much attracted by the name itself.
This place is located on the road no 1 of jublieehills easy to locate very near to checkpost.
Finally it happened to be here with my bunch of foodie friends for a review session...
I was here with lots of excitement.
It was a warm and great set ambience with a beautiful attractive partition as soon as you enter the place And it has good spread of seating accordingly.
Coming to the service the staff is very good in their part of job , they are good with the suggestion of dishes.
.
Coming to the food.
.
In the soup I have tasted their Tamato Dhaniya shorba , which is good with the taste .
.
Then I had their papdi chat which tasted really good which is a must try thing .
.
From starters :
.
Mokha jonna kebab : I liked it , as it was perfectly cooked and tasted great.
.
Velulli kodi vepudu : I felt the taste is good but the taste dint last as the spicy taste gets neutral , little more marination needed.
.
Mutton ghee roast : this was my fav , felt good with the taste.
.
They have very small menu of mocktails and a huge menu of cocktails.
.
I have tried tried their fruit punch and mint cooler which are on house.
.
They have the best combos
From their combos menu I have tried telangana kodi kuda with dosa which is so yum and it is also a must try one.
.
Murgh Malai tikka : which tasted juicy and fine.
.
From the maincourse :
I have tried their roti basket with the curries of
Mutton kurma , andhra chicken curry , Gobi mutter
Which tasted well with the roti.
From the rice I tried their gongura kodi pulav which needs to be little tangy and spicy for its name which is little missing.
Their veg pulav Is decent.
Steamed rice and pachi pulusu are good combination to try.
They have their specially made pickles which they service you with love which tasted very good.
If they dont offer you just ask them they will definitely serve you.
Desserts :
They have really yumm desserts
Junnu , gulabjamun , jalebi with rabdi ,rasmalai are very good.
apricot delight can be little better with the taste.
.
This place is an good option for good drink and good food.
.
Worth the visit place.
.
Recommended .
Went there for a quick dinner..ordered karam mamsam roast..it was just wonderful..boneless succulent mutton chunks with the right mix of spices..been a while since i tasted something like this..the 4 star is for this dish alone..then we ordered keema pulao..nothing very great..masaledar..
Was very excited to visit this place and finally made a visit
The staff were very friendly
Has pretty good ambience
They have some desi pictures hung up on their walls
.
.
In starters we have ordered
Velluli kodi roast : chicken pieces were very well fried and with right amount of spices
It tasted very nice
.
.
Mokka jonna kebab : a must try for vegetarians
Kebab was very crispy and soft
.
.
Papdi chat : one of the best papdi chats we ever had
.
.
Cut mirchi : was spicy and served hot
Order this and grab a drink and its all set
.
.
Ghee roast mutton : was served cold and the meat was a bit hard to chew
.
.
Guntur karam podi paneer : when we ordered paneer tikka this was suggested by them
It was no different than tawa idli
Not satisfied 👎
.
.
Kodi kura with garelu : garelu were not crispy and the chicken curry served didn’t paired well with them
.
.
Fish koliwada and deccan fish tikka : both of these fish items were very soft and well prepared
Perfectly spiced
.
.
Dosa and kodi kura : one of the best and their must try
Chicken curyy was prepared perfectly to pair with dosa and even dosas were very crispy
.
.
In main course we ordered
Ragi mudda with natu kodi pulus : this is over priced and the quantity is too less
It was served first with mutton curry and then they changed our plates
Ragi mudda was undercooked and was hard
Natu kodi pulusu tasted like curry rather than pulusu
.
.
Deccan kheema biryani : the rice was good but the kheema tasted like it was mixed with flour
Total disappointment
.
.
Veg sambar rice : sambar was a bit tangy
.
.
And then we ordered junnu for desert and it was just okay
This place opened just a week ago.
The staff were enthusiastic to show and suggest the food they had to offer. The ambience was great for a meal with the ones that you would like to spend quality time. The music deserves a special mention with good old foot tapping telugu music.
The quantity of quality food offered for one serving is ample and incomparable with peer restaurants.
Waiting for them to start the buffet section on 25 December.
Hopeful they continue the same standards in the coming months which is a rare scenario.
Had been here 2 times. Excellent food especially non veg is simply superb. I recommend my friends and my family members as well. Must try raagi with natukodi is my favourite.
Brilliant food ambience and service , literally what more does one want when dinning out with family . Really nice experience at deccan canteen , we were age group of 70 to 20 dinning together and all of us enjoyed the evening . Special thanks to the courteous staff , excellent service
Had been this place multiple times. Veg and non veg both taste good. Service and ambience is satisfactory. Rates are moderate. Value for money. Try for it.
Must try! New place to visit in Hyderabad, so go for it and try some of their amazing delicacies. I went there along with friends on the recommendation of a friend and trust me it didn’t disappoint me at all.
So just go there if you are looking for a quick meal with your bunch of friends
Amazing place... great concept & ambiance.... good service... Yummy food... Must try their specialities.... Been there twice and would certainly recommend this place....
This is the newly opened south Indian restaurant in Jubilee hills check in prime location. Food is very tasty which will makes to feel of homely food. Service is very quick and the price of the menu is very pocket friendly.
Definitely I will come back next.
The deserts are very yummy. The place has a very cool and traditional touch. Had come here at 3pm and been chatting and chilling around with my group till 6. This place has good ambience...
In love with this one. Andhra cuisine at it's best. Apicy food lovers are gonna have a gala time. Service is quick. I particularly liked the combos.

Another commendable point I'd want to make is that they stuck to our request of preparing the dishes less spicy to suit people like us who are non-andhras.
Good food and pleasant place to relax. The service is good.
Some background.. We booked buffet(6) through Dineout and after reading a few negative reviews before visiting, we called restaurant to double check for confirmation of our reservation and they informed us that buffet will be served on the table which I did not expect.
After reaching there, lunch started with welcome drink after a short delay but i think that is expected. It was virgin mojito which i liked. We ordered one extra but they did not charge for that. It was followed by Karivepaku baby corn which was a great start, followed by Harabara kabab, cut mirchi, guntur kodi mamsam, andhra fish fry and chicken tikka. None of the items disappointed me. They brought each items in a sufficient quantity for 6 people and whenever we need repeat, they served without any limits. We were almost full with the starters itself.
Coming to main course, though they offered all the curries on menu but we tried only paneer butter masala and a chicken curry.. Both are good. Though I indicated i want to try chepala pulusu, they did not serve. Mutton Biryani was tasty though the taste is not similar to traditional mutton Biryani.
Desserts were as per expectation. At the end when enquired why all desserts were not served which were mentioned in the menu, they revealed that the buffet was actually not planned on that day but Dineout accepted due you a communication gap but since the booking wad done, they decided to serve all those items on the menu and they could not serve a few items which would take longer efforts to prepare.
Overall the experience was very good, especially when we ended up paying 900 because of offer when the original bill was 3600 :-D I recommend this place. Service can be improved. I did not take pics of food.
In which, I mostly liked the DHANIYA SHORBA because of the direct hit of coriander flavor to my mouth , where as in vellulli Kodi charu it was warm & soothing is all I can say.
.

Ambience :- 4/5
Taste :- 4/5
Service :- 5/5
