After a long time we had good Pan Asian food.
Dishes rated as per my taste & liking:
1) Chicken Barbequed Baos- 5/5
Love the taste of those soft fluffy hot baos
2) Prawn Coriander Dumplings- 5/5
Very delicate flavour & texture
3) Tempura Prawns- 4/5
They were good in flavour but not crispy though. After sometime they became soggy which was not what i expected
4) Chicken Pad Thai: 4/5
It somehow missed the wok flavour and the sprouts crunch was less. It missed that punchy flavour somehow but it still it wasn’t that bad. We have had better in the city.
The same review was given to our attendant at the restaurant.Hope they can make their Pad Thai better because I specially craved for some good ending with my main course.
Service-5/5
Impeccable & attentive.
Good food and experience!
The fire roasted mandarin chicken has been one of our absolute favourites. Soups good to try are - 8 treasure, hot and sour, tom kha. Main course - mixed meat rice, chicken rice noodles, mandarin chicken gravy, and roasted duck gravy were good.
The desert highlight was Buddha's Fu!
Although very slow and delayed service that was a put off! They did give compensatory sodas, but that didn't do the trick.
I came for the lunch on my birthday. The food is very tasty, 2 of hot dishes was not spicy. I'm thankful for the writers who game me more not spicy food when i asked them.
Soup was extra testy but very spicy.
The atmosphere was cool. I love this restaurant!
I recently visited China Bistro again during the Zomato Gold Dining Carnival.
The restaurant offers an authentic Chinese menu, lovely ambiance, friendly staff, and a range of tasty dishes. The restaurant’s spacious and pleasant ambience provided a cozy atmosphere. They have a very big seating arrangement. However, during our visit, the AC was not functioning properly.
In terms of food options, they offer both buffet and a la carte options, making it suitable for family dinners or project parties.
The food was good and tasty. From the dimsums to the sushi to the noodles, each dish was fresh and delicious. The complimentary kimchi was a delightful addition. While the service could be faster, the staff was friendly, and the overall service was good.
The pricing is on the higher side, with an average cost of around 1200-1400 per person.
Some of the dishes that we tried and enjoyed over our multiple visits were chicken dimsums, sushi rolls, crispy fried chicken from the wok, Chicken Katsu Curry served with jasmine rice, and Steamed Coconut Dumpling with Honey Butter Sauce.
Definitely a good place for Chinese cuisine lovers to try at least once.
For the first time I have tried authentic Chinese food. I just fell in love with food. Tried kimchi which was given as complimentary. There needs to be improvement in mocktails. Though i tried very limited items I loved each of them. From dimsums to Sushi they are fresh and tasty. Jasmine rice was interesting to try and i recommend this here. The ambience was pretty good and spacious. They have a buffet option too. Perfect for family dinners or project parties too.
A proper Chinese cuisine with variety of items. There is buffet as well as A'la carte. We went with A'la carte. The Ambience gives you a good old asian vibe with red shade and light ancient music in the background. We went for lunch and there were no more than three tables filled. The service could be little faster as we had to wait a bit of time even with less crowd.
The veg options are available but limited. You can ask for manchow soup which isn't in the menu and it was decent. We ordered starters in chicken and prawns but no proper items were there in fish. The items are a bit pricy.
All in all a simple family/office Chinese cuisine dining with proper ambience and service with taste costing 1200-1400 per person.
Kimchi - 3.8/5 - less juicy
Veg Manchow soup - 4/5
Starters:
Chicken Basil Dumpling - 3.4/5 - Too Bland with higher tone of Basil
Chicken Tai Pei - 4.2/5 - proper spice - Recommended
Veg spring roll - 3.2/5 - dry and undercooked
Cottage cheese - 3.5/5 - normal taste
Tempura Prawns - 3.8/5 - Prawns were fried good but the taste was dull. Was expecting it to have more crunchy flavour with juicy taste inside. Still recommended
Main Course : Nasi Goreng Chicken rice - 4/5 - It was as shown in the picture with higher quantity. The chicken fillet was cooked in coconut oil maintaining a unique texture. The rice taste was good
Dessert :
Buddha's Fu - 4/5 - mango pudding with icecream
Chocolate tsunami - 4/5
The desserts were not exactly great. Just fine to finish with.
Overall i would rate the restaurant 3.5
Had a buffet lunch on a working day. Reasonably priced at Rs 722 for veg. Food tasted ok. But the variety was not great. Especially the desserts. Their a la carte options might be better, we felt. The service was excellent.
Very clean restaurant with clean restrooms. I really liked their appetizers, especially mushroom sushi, veg dumplings and chocolate spring roll ice cream.
