If you love desi food or want to have a home like meal, this is great place. It's near railway station and bus stand so if you are new to town, do visit for a hearty thali. The food is affordable,tasty quantity is unlimited and there are variety of dishes. Plus you can visit it even if you're health conscious and don't prefer too much oily food. The only thing that lacks is ambience, it's not exactly modern and sometimes the waiters delay in providing dishes. Also look out for crowd.

Neelkanth is an exceptional restaurant. Even though the place is in dire need of a renovation, the food makes it worth your while.
The Thali starts at Rs.90/- and goes to Rs. 180/- depending on the kind of thali you choose. I recommend ordering the basic thali as it offers the best food. If you love adding some heat to your food, make sure you order a Tadka as an add on.
With five vegetables, papad, salads, curd and piping hot chapatis dripping in ghee, I assure you, you’ll end up eating more than you planned to. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself licking your fingers if there’s Bhindi masala and Kadhi in the menu (I always order it if it’s not in the thali and I recommend you to do the same).
The staff at Neelkanth might not be professionally trained but they are warm, kind and extremely efficient.
I have tried almost all restaurants that serve you Thali and not even one place in Indore comes close to the thali they serve you at Neelkanth. Take my word for it because I have been going to Neelkanth more than ten years and I still can’t get enough of it.

I think this is the best gujrati thali restaurant in indore, the food is awesome and just look like home made food, if you are visiting indore and looking for quick and light and easy luch this is the best place, I regularly visit this place and they serve food very fast , the chapatis are roasted on coal fired clay, the sweet dishes are also awesome, the rates here are very cheap as compared to the taste they offer, I will surely recommend this.
Awesome food, Best service in the town, loved the way they serve. It's kind of food cooked at home, The chapatis are really thin and made up from pure wheat over there. If you want to feed yourself fully and also don't want to spend much on food this is the place for you with really good taste.

Neelkanth is a great place to have a thaali. The veg only place serves some really good food which tastes as if made at home and it is very good on your pocket and tummy.
The food here is very good and not much oil is used in making it. The unlimited thaali is the main attraction and you can eat to your stomachs full and still want more of this delicious platter.
Gobi, paneer and daals are excellent and the food has a good Rajasthani flavor to it.

You won't find any paneer or sweets in the thali because it consisits of regular vegetables that we cook at home. And this is where this place scores. The food is non oily, without any adulteration. The best part is the fact is that it is cheap. Like real cheap.

This place has food that is closest to taste to Gujarati cuisine, so if you are looking for Gujarati/Rajasthani food, Neelkanth is very good! You can dine in or they deliver with a minimum of RS. 300, they have this Rajshahi Thali that has roti, paratha, aloo/paneer parantha, kadhi, dal, one paneer sabzi, one veggie sabzi, dahi wada, a sweet dish just to name a few things! All in all food was good!

I hv started taking meals @Neelkant when I was a bachelor in 1990's and it was only Rs.13/- per thali. Still today taste is same even though 3 generations changed. Keep it up!!!!

I would highly recommend this restaurant. The food was served promptly, the portion size of the thali was very generous and each dish was flavoursome in its own way. There was lots of families eating and the atmosphere was very friendly. I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

The service was super quick. After ordering it took literally 5 minutes to serve the thali. The service was very friendly and well-behaved. Taste of every single item was beyond description. They served you roti, or rice whenever you would want quickly. And the sweetness, saltiness or spiciness was perfectly balanced.
