The place is not very noticeable from the road, though it is right at the chauraha, since it is not at ground level. Really glad we spotted it though... The vadas were huge and sambar was very flavorful. Vada sambar is served (as it typically is in the South) with coconut chutney... So authentic and delicious!
The restaurant was very clean, no crumbs on the chairs, tables or floor. And the uniformed waiters with their signature, starched uniforms! Really inspires confidence... Loved this place. Their coffee is not to be missed by the way...
We had a great experience at this place. It has an old look, but excellent food and service. Loved the scrambled eggs here and the vegetable upma was too good. The coffee is pure and authentic. Try it, if you’re a South Indian food lover.
A good place for quick meetings and Get together.
Rates are realy very economic and the quality of food is really good.
Very Professional Staff and they all are well behaved as well.
They ate maintaining there culture.
After being disappointed with another outlet in same area, I went to this place a day ago and found nothing special. Indian Coffee House is losing its reputation probably because they really are taking customers for granted. I would recommend them innovating on place and menu to cope with competition growing up these days as people (at least the ones I know) have high expectations from ICH.
This is a place where I can visit anyday and anytime. One of the most peaceful and calm place with great food. Along with the taste this place is very pocket friendly.
Simple cafe coffee that even serves main course, located at the main bhawarkua square ...the cafe maintain its dignity, fine dressed waiter and hyginity
I really like dosa of this place, fresh and delactable....!!
Very good service, friendly staff. if you are here for good hygienic food then its fine, you can forget the ambience.
Must Try
1) Chicken Biriyani (the best i had in Indore)
2) poori Sabzi
3) Masala Dosa
4) Cold coffee
Ideal for: Cheap lunch or evening snack on a busy day. Food: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Cost: 3/5 Overall: 3.5/5 (Overall is the average of above four)
Firstly, amazing breakfast... Lunch and dinner.. In all the best food joint place.. You get all varities in one single place.. All you have to do is just name it and pocket friendly! There is no point of the day when you dont find ICH empty. The most amazingly shocking thing that they have in uniform is.. All the ICH in India serves the best south indian food and coffee.. The entire staff is south indian and maintain a same dress code everywhere. They are very friendly and always serve you with a smile. You will see the customers present there are usually the regular visitors to that place. Highly recomended.. Plz do experience their service.
Before the likes of CCD, Barista and others, there was ICH and it still stands tall. This classic place is ages old with many branches across India.
After living in South for almost 6 years, I can say that the Dosas and Idli are best in town. The taste of South exists, although not authentic. The Sambhar taste bit sweet but it's good.
As they say, test of any coffee shop is their Filter Coffee, I strongly suggest to try their Filter coffee. You will know how the original coffee tastes. Colf coffee is absolutely pure, that's the right word. You get no nonsense cold coffee here with no Choco powder or syrup or mixed ice cream.
Of course, you would be fool to order North Indian food here. C'mon guys, seriously? Stick to South India Cuisine and Coffees. Also tried their Aloo Bonda once, at the university campus, it was damn good.
The reason I frequented ICH was that I don't have enough money to go else where. (Student, duh!)
But the fact is their Idli sambhar is out of the world. Dosa all time classic. U cannot get such awesome Filter coffee in anywhere else in North. Strangely enough egg curry was real yum!
Good For A Tea Coffee At Anx Time.
Located Verx Well
Service Is Good.
I Like this Place For Manx Reasons.
Highly Recommended ।।
If you wanna eat cheap south Indian food then please go to this place. It's basic...dosas are okay but their paneer dosa and egg biryani is very tasty. Filter coffee is also nice. Overall good!
Oddly situated in a prime locality.. This nationwide chain has its own taste, service and hospitality..
Ambience of this joint is same as other branches.. Basic.. Only just what is needed to accommodate customers, no luxury, in fact at times u will find it difficult to sit for long.. 3/5
Over to Taste, ICH was considered as Authentic South Indian restaurants but with increase competition and lack of capital, these joints are degrading in taste. What they are serving is no different than any other South Indian joints in city.. Size of stuffs though is still huge, so it will definitely fill your tummy.. I specially liked their Regular Thali.. Taste 3.5/5
Service is regular.. One will surely like the dressing of the staff.. I got my order on time during all my visits. 4/5
However, this is not a budgetary joint as compared to the locality and other neighbouring food outlets. This wont affect if u ordering a thali but u will feel the price difference once u order various dishes.. 3.5/5
So from my side, u can make a visit but choose wisely what to order. ;))
The location is a bit odd.... sandwiched n hidden but if u have to eat cheap...u gotta compromise.
Ordered tea in the coffee house... lol... n it was nice n milky... n some toasts....which were feathery light.
Thumbs up!
