We went in a group last Saturday for the first time, first of all we receive warm welcome then we were allowed sofa seating. The ambience was very nice and attractive as per indori theme..
We had cocktails and starters all were amazing. Service is quick and staff is also very cooperative. Service staff was well knowledgeable and well trained. We were served complimentary desserts at the end. Really our overall experience was fabulous..
Must recommended place to visit..

The place has never disappointed me in the last month i have been there thrice and the taste was jist so perfect just for once i felt like the chicken was not cooled properly else everytime the taste was just soo perfect and tried different dishes always but chicken kali mirchi , hot n sour soup and mutton they serve is just wow , though i feel that the pricing of breads are a bit high but else everything is just perfect , but you need to wait a lot there service is very slow , but the taste is worth the wait

Punchin is located at the prime location of heart of Vijay Nagar opposite of Meghdoot Garden. By looking at its decor one can say its desi or punjabi themed restaurant. Ambience is ok I would say it can do a lot in terms of improvement I can see huge scope they can do lot better. Menu comprises of desi Chinese and punjabi style foods. Food was good which I tried.

Punchin - A combination of two words Punjabi & Chinese is the name of the restaurant of the Citrus Hotel which is located in the heart of new Indore City, bang opposite to the Meghdoot Garden, Vijay Nagar. It's not just in the name but actually the menu is designed around the same theme. As you enter the venue, your eyes just can't miss out the meticulously designed interiors with a classic Indori touch on the walls & pillars...

On arrival, the welcome mock-tail drink Barman Special was served in shot glasses bearing funny quotes. Also came along the Chakhna (Bhelpuri filled in papad cones) served in the unique street vendor style 😛

VEG STARTERS:
Potato Cheese Balls: Cheese dumplings stuffed potato balls tossed with Chinese hot garlic sauce tasted good to start with 👍🏻

Punchin Paneer Tikka: These Punjabi style cottage cheese rolls stuffed with grated cheese, cashew nuts & Indian spices are just perfectly balanced with the flavours that simply mellows in the mouth 😛

Golden Fried Babycorn & Mushroom: This deep fried dish probably needs to be revisited in terms of its oil content & even the taste needs to be pepped up to gear up to the expectations of Indoris.

NON VEG STARTERS:

Gosht Tunday Kebab: This reminded me of my good old days in Lucknow and am glad that I won't be missing these delicious kebabs being in Indore. An Awadhi delicacy made out of minced mutton, herbs & Garam Masala is a must try for all non vegetarian lovers 😋

Chicken Makhmali Kebab: Just as the name suggests, these boneless chicken wraps are silky soft and aptly tenderised with cream, black pepper, cheese, ginger garlic paste, coriander etc. to leave you with a mesmerising taste and satisfaction. You can't be happy with just one 😀

Crispy Chilli Prawns: Blame it on me rooted from a coastal region, Prawns have always been my favourite. These crispy fried chilli Prawns in sesame oil with chopped garlic, onion & green chillies is simply mouth watering 🍤

Chilli Chicken: This Desi Chinese delicacy is much acclaimed by us that caters well to our Indian palate. Tossed with bell peppers, onion, ginger, garlic and finished with fine chopped spring onions it just tastes perfect 👌🏻

MAIN COURSE:
Paneer Ranjat-e-Shahi: Basically a Punjabi style Paneer bhurji along with Paneer triangles cooked in yellow gravy finished with kesar (saffron) is rich & delectable 😊

Moge Da Kukkad: This typical Punjabi style spicy dish is made out of Tandoori chicken cooked in fine onion, tomato, ginger, garlic masala gravy is quite relishing 😘

Dhaba Mutton: The pieces of Mutton that I had were just cooked to perfection in dhaba style spicy masala gravy where the meat was neither off the bones nor was too hard to be separated from them. Truly tempting 👍🏻👍🏻

Dum Aloo Punjabi: Usually after having so many non vegetarian delicacies, the vegetarian dishes take a back seat. However, this dish made up of fried stuffed potatoes slow cooked in an Indian spicy gravy of onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, pinch of pepper finished with coriander stalks stood apart 😛💧

Dal Makhni: The most popular Punjabi delicacy has indeed maintained its authenticity in this restaurant cooked to perfection on slow fire with loads of ghee enriching its taste to a great extent 👌🏻

Kashmiri Pulao: Long grain Basmati rice fried in desi ghee (clarified butter) and cooked with cumin seeds, cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamoms, cloves, raisins, cashew nuts & pineapple chunks tasted superb with a sweet savoury combo ✌🏻

DESSERTS

Baked Surprise: This mouthwatering dessert made by baking together Sweet Boondi and Gulaab Jamun in a Rabdi base is simply yummilicious 😃

Fried Ice Cream: Solidified Ice cream balls put in a cornflour batter and deep fried is a unique concept of serving chilled ice cream with a hot & crispy outer shell. However, to me this didn't appeal much may be because of the thick shell that left a floury taste in the mouth later which probably needs some tweaking 🍨

To sum it all, you need to be there in person to witness the dramatic bartender gimmicks & fire juggling displayed at the newly launched Bar in Punchin Restaurant complimented well with the lip smacking starters as well as main course dishes. Not to forget, the various combination of dips & chutneys served in a typical Railway Station tea server stand indeed adds on to every dish served here with a lot of personal care & attention.

This time my delicious journey was to Punchin Restaurant by Citrus Hotel. A name which say Punjab & China 😈, two entirely different places yet they were able to make it taste exactly like that.

The interior is made with all these punch lines which people use it on daily basis and even there glasses has all these quotes and saying in punjabi and hindi. They have come up with an interesting concept with really friendly rates. Let's unravel my recommendation for the place 😜

- Veg sikhampuri kebab, my favorite veg starter & can be considered as Galouti kebab for vegetarians 😂🙈 and damm tasty and costs ₹229 for 8 prices 🍘

- Potato Cheese Balls in hot garlic sauce, OMG! Haven't had this yummy potato cheese balls from a long time and costs just ₹229 and quantity is really good 🥔🧀

- Chicken makhmali kebeb, my favorite nonveg starter bcz it's chicken. Wrapped in paratha.with malai and cheese and the quantity is just unbelievable and comes at ₹279 🍗🍹

- Ghost Tunday kebab, another version of galouti kebab but a must try & believe me you not gonna regret ❤️

- Butter Chicken, a must try main course in Chicken and it's done in rich ghee n cream and have it with cheese garlic nan or lacchha paratha 🍖🍗

- Dhaba mutton, my goodness minced keema and the ghee which made it to melt in mouth. Ahhaaaa I still can't forget how phenomenal it was and costs ₹389 🍖

- Dal Makhani, "Punjabiya di shaan rakhi", creamy dal Makhani with lots of ghee just like my nani used to make ❤️ same love n emotions and eat it with nan 😋 , you will go crazy about it .

Baked surprise, baked boondi and gulab jamun in kesar dryfruit milk was actually a surprise 🍧

Rich and absolutely delicious punjabi dishes.
Some things i would strongly recommend are-

-gosht tundey kebab - golden fried baby corn n mushrooms
-moge da kukkad -dhaba mutton -dum aloo punjabi.

I would definitely term this place as SURPRISING. This resto bar has got everything which will please every soul and specially INDORI souls. Quirky one liners, use of vibrant colors, eye catching furniture (specially the diner booths), different cutlery, decked up bar & delicious food. The management here have made sure that one gets on a full pleasurable ride with their services. The menu has been designed in a fun way, keeping the range of food for every taste buds. They kept the ambience quite lit up with the choice of music. We were greeted with some local chakna in desi style with some fresh mocktails.
I am listing down the names of the dishes which truly stole my heart.

Quirky & colorful Indori ambience, delicious and very comforting food, a very lit Bar, warm hospitality & the right kind of music to go with it is what you’ll get to experience at this Restro-Bar.
My experience with Punchin has been Punchin amazing!
I fell in love with their eye catching interior as soon as I entered it - with a Punching bag at the entrance (justifying the name), Indori slangs painted all over, and a very vibrant interior.
I got served some of the lip smacking Indian comfort food from their menu (which is made like a Dhapli/Tambourine btw) & some very refreshing drinks.

Top recommendations are -
• Crispy Chilli Prawns
• Chicken Makhmali Kebab
• Ghosht ke Tunday
• Dal Makhni
• Dhaba Style Mutton (literally melts in your mouth, this one is to die for!)
• Fried Ice Cream

All these dishes were beautifully presented with an outstanding service in desi style utensils & all the drinks in humoursly quoted glasses. Punchin is definitely one of the few places in Indore which I loved in every aspect & I’d recommend it to all those reading it.
And don’t forget to give that cute Punching Bag a nice big punch before you leave, it rings a bell for appreciation.

ये रैस्टॉरेंट अभी तक छुपा हुआ सा है ,ज्यादा लोगो को इसके बारे में पता नही है ।

पूरा इंदौरी कह सकते है ,इंदौरी भाषा को रचाये बसाए यहाँ के कॉर्नर्स आपका दिल खुश कर देंगे ।सच कह रही हु भिया ।हउ, झन्नाट बेहतरीन ,जमरिया है ,आ रिया है ,जा रिया है ।और भी बहुत कुछ जो आपको इंदौरी होने का अहसास जगा देगा ।
मेनू कार्ड भी आपका दिल जीत लेगा ,डफली के ऊपर प्रिंट किया है ।बहुत ही अनूठा लगा मुझे ।

आइये मेरी कुछ खास पसंदीदा डिशेस के बारे में बात करते है ।

सबसे पहले यहाँ वेलकम ड्रिंक सर्व किया गया जिसने मुझे निराश किया ,ग्लासेज बहुत ही यूनिक कोट्स लिए हुए थी ।
*अब पापड़ के कोन में भेल सर्व की गई ,टेस्ट भी और प्रेजेंटेशन भी ।

STARTERS:
*वेज सिखमपुरी कबाब: wow बहुत ही स्वादिष्ट ।और मुँह में घुल से जाने वाले ।सॉफ्ट एकदम ।ये hung curd और vegetables के साथ बनाये गए थे ।सबकी मात्रा एकदम सही अनुपात में थी ।
ये सिखामपुर की एक खास डिश में से है ।
जरूर से ट्राय करे ।

*Punchin पनीर टिक्का: ये स्वादिष्ट थे ,पर कही परफेक्शन की कमी थी।मसालों का अनुपात और पनीर की क्वालिटी ने मुझे निराश किया ।

*गोल्डन फ्राइड बेबी कॉर्न: ये शानदार ।में इसको अपनी सबसे पसंदीदा डिश कहूंगी ।मैन इतने क्रिस्प और खास बेबी कॉर्न भी एकदम सही पके हुए ।मजा आगया ।जरूर से खाये ।

*पोटैटो चीज़ बॉल ऑन हॉट गार्लिक सॉस :में चीज़ काम पसंद करती हूं ।पर ये पोटैटो सुपर स्वादिष्ट ।एकदम बैलेंस्ड ।आउटर कवर बहुत ही अच्छा क्रिस्प
और चीज़ का मसाला बहुत ही स्वादिष्ट ।गार्लिक सॉस ने मजा ले दिया ।बच्चो को जरूर से पसंद आएगा ।साथ मे बड़े भी खाए बिना नही रह पाएंगे ।₹

MOCKTAILS:

मुझे ये बहुत पसंद आया ।मुझे थोड़ा खट्टा स्वाद पसंद है ।और लाल मिर्च भी ।बस दोनों के कॉम्बिनेशन ने मेरा मूड बना दिया ।आप ट्राय कर सकते है ।

MAIN COURSE:

*Paneer Ranjet - e -shahi: बहुत ही खूबसूरत प्लेटिंग के साथ ये सर्व की गई ।तिकोने आकार में कटे हुए पनीर ,येलो रिच ग्रेवी में ।केसर की महक के साथ ।स्वाद भी बेहतरीन ।
आप ट्राय कर सकते है ।

*Dum aloo punjabi : इसका स्वाद तो मेरे जेहन में अभी तक ताजा है ।बहुत ही स्वादिष्ट ।एकदम झकास वाली रेड tangy ग्रेवी में स्टफ्ड पोटैटो ।मन कर रहा है अभी फिर से जा के खा लु।जरूर से ट्राय करे ।?

*Daal Makhni: ये अच्छी थी पर 3/5 ।थोड़ी buttery ज्यादा लगी ।और स्वाद में कुछ कमी सी लगी ।

*Kashmiri Pulav : इसका स्वाद बहुत अच्छा था ।
घी में दालचीनी ,जीरा ,इलायची, लोंग के साथ बासमती राइस बहुत ही अच्छे थे ।शानदार एरोमा लिए हुए ।जरूर से ट्राय करे ।

DESSERTS:

Baked Surprise: गुलाब जामुन ,बूंदी और रबड़ी को मिलाकर बेक किया गया ।इसके स्वाद ने मुझे निराश किया ।बूंदी को और रिच बनाया जा सकता है ।
गुलाब जामुन : बहुत ही सॉफ्ट और रसभरे हुए स्वादिष्ट ।

Fried icecream: थोड़ी सी कड़क (फ्रीजर की जमी) icecream को कोकोनट पाउडर में लपेट कर फ्राई किया गया ।आउटर कवर बहुत ही thick था ।जिसकी वजह से स्वाद में मजा नही आया ।शेफ ने कहा वो इसको जल्द सॉल्व करेंगे ।

कुल मिलाकर एक बेहतरीन अनुभव ,इस फुल्ली इंदौरी रैस्टॉरेंट का आनंद आप जरूर से ले ।आप फैमिली के साथ यहाँ जा सकते है ।बहुत महंगा भी नही है।
बर्थडे पार्टीज और किटी पार्टीज के लिए भी बहुत अच्छा ऑप्शन है ।

Citrus Punchin reflects the true spirit of Indoris, who love to devour their food. You will find many popular Indori slangs and dialect on walls like bhiyoo, jamriya hai, bawa etc. I would say that Citrus Punchin is the hidden gem of Indore. This place commenced it’s operation only a year ago but the place didn't have enough footfall.
Last Saturday I was invited by citrus with the dynamic team of Indore blogger association to taste their delectable dishes.

USP of this place that they serve Chinese and
Punjabi food with authentic culinary standards.

Let me take you for my gastronomic journey with citrus Punchin.
First they served us chakhna, papad with welcome drink

Starters:
Veg Sikhampuri Kebab: It has minced vegetables stuffed with hang curd, cheese and coriander. The proportion of everything was accurate. It was a toothsome starter. let me tell you that it is one the famous kebab from Sikhampur.

Punchin Paneer Tikka: It was rich in taste because it has grated cheese with cashewnuts and Indian spices.
Golden Fried Baby Corn Mushroom:

Potato cheese ball on hot garlic sauce:
If you are a potato lover then this is a must order dish for you. It has stuffed potato with cheese dumpling, tossed with hot garlic sauce.

Salad:
Punjabi cut salad or kimchi salad: After having various lip smacking starters we had kimchi salad it was a perfect mix of cabbage, soya, tomato,Tabasco sauce topped with sesame seeds.

Main course:
Paneer Ranjet-e-Shahi: It was the most eye pleasing dish. It has paneer bhurji top with yellow gravy and trengal paneer and keshar.

Moge da kukad: chicken lover will gorge on it. It was delicious dish. It was perfect blend of tandori chicken cooked in fine onion tomato, ginger, garlic, masala gravy.

Dhaba mutton: people who crave for dhaba style food they must order this dish.

Pan Fried Noodles:
Kashmiri Pulao: it has Basmati rice/cumin seeds, cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamoms, cloves and fry in ghee. The aroma of this savoury was great. Two 👍🏽👍🏽 from my side.

Desserts:
Baked Surprise: Hot Gulab Jamun with boondi and rabdi and then baked.
Hot Gulab Jamun
Fried Ice Cream: A hard ice cream -18 degrees c, layered with coconut powder. It was toothsome some but I feel that the coating of comflor was thick. I have shared my opinion with chef 👩‍🍳 he said that they will try to solve this problem .
Over all it was a wonderful experience for me. You can visit this opulent restaurant with your family and friends and can devour delicious savouries.

The ambiance of the place is a typical Restrobar and definitely punchin is quite underrated in Indore as it has everything you need in a happening modern-day bistro - from classic mocktails/cocktails menu with lavish bar set up, to outstanding veg and non starters, to a typical Indian/Mughlai style Main course. You get everything for everyone here. 🥗🥘🍱
However, the most beautiful part of the food tasting session was their hospitality. Their service is quick and the staff pretty hospitable.

Hello guys,

visited the place recently for lite dinner... the place has opened in place where there was atithi satkar near patang. location is very prime in the front of vijay nagar.

Ambiance of the place is one of the things to talk about, it has that classic look with good lighting big projector TV and indori slang on the walls which is enjoyable every time you read it.

Now talking about the food. I had their man-chow soup, served in a unique way, we also ordered their veg platter. Well both the things were really tasty, specially the platter as it was served with 6 unique chatni's and i lived everyone with the platter. soup was perfect as it should be also they served us complimentary papad in the shape of cone which i enjoyed

Service and hospitality of the place is nice. They were taking care of the table and i didnt had to wait for them to appear to ask for anything which was a very good point as its missing now a days from a lot of restaurant, the only thing that disappoointed me was the platter, i saw its pic on zomato and instagram (indoriZyaka) it looked really tasty with a lot of variety in it.. well the platter served was normal and was decent compared to what they have posted for their promotion. i guess promotion can make a fool now.

Overall the place is not too costly , price is genuinely perfect, price to quanity ratio is good (considering soup) rest i dont have any complaint other than what you see is not what you get.

I visited this place with few of my friends , the ambience was nice and the staff was polite and friendly. Music loud enough to go you humming and could hold nice conversation . Food was delicious and the serving time not too much . Must try for non veg lovers

First suggestion i would giv is tht if u wish 2 visit this place then get ready 2 hav fatty food. The food they serve is really rich in calories. But yes its definitely worth it.
One would njoy dining in this place.
They start by giving a welcome drink in a very small glass while u r deciding on ur menu followed by a snack in a small papad.

I would like 2 mention abt the menu here...coz its unique....their presentation of menu card is impressive.
Once u place ur order it comes really fast 2 ur table nd this i m talking on a busy day...when all the tables r full..inspite of tht they manage pretty well.
Food is made in ghee or butter...so get ready 2 increase ur fat stores.

Nd the last thing...review card ...tht brings a smile 2 ur face....by the way they hav given options abt ur experience.

Awsm Ambience, food makes your taste buds refresh. Visited with family, and it's unique and a first of it's kind restaurant in Indore with pure Indori style. Menu cards are also different and nicely conceptualised. Everything is good but pls check the bill carefully as there are service charges in the bill.

I visited punchin on a Wednesday night, as i entered i was blown away by the decor of this place!
From the cutlery to the walls and even the feedback form has been curated with taste.
After selecting a table of our choice, we were served the welcome drinks and papad with the staff serving them in a typical street fashion.
Next the menu was a nice surprise too.
We ordered Dal punchin, Dhaba paneer, pudina paratha and butter naan.
We waited for the food while enjoying the match on the giant screen and listening to the peppy punjabi numbers.
The service was quick and very efficient by Mr. Shiva.
Punchin dal was star of the show. It is their own twist on the dal makhni and i can say it is the best you'll have in Indore.
Food was accompanied by sirke ki pyaaz, green chutney, green chilli, pickle plus they also served ghee and jaggery to go with it.
One of my friends was on a diet and did not wish to have anything but they still served him a kiwi mocktail on the house which was a very sweet gesture.
Did not try the non vegetarian dishes, but will surely return soon to try them.
Overall-
Food- 4/5
Ambience - 5/5
Service - 6/5
Cost- not heavy on the pocket at all.
If you do decide to go, do ask for chef Shankar's punchin dal.

Usually i dont eat vegetarian food at all but today this place served me something out of the world. The Chef suggested us their signature dish "Punchin Paneer Tikka". Nothing could have made my day better.

Mutton Masala- Such fresh and tender meat i have never had before.
Chicken Biryani - Infused with boiled eggs and chicken tikka pieces. The aroma and the taste was unique.

Ambience - 10/10
Food-10/10
Service - 11/10

This restaurant is a blessing for all Indoris.. Do visit!!!

Hello guys, visited the place recently for lite dinner... the place has opened in place where there was atithi satkar near patang. location is very prime in the front of vijay nagar. Ambiance of the place is one of the things to talk about, it has that classic look with good lighting big projector TV and indori slang on the walls which is enjoyable every time you read it. Now talking about the food. I had their man-chow soup, served in a unique way, we also ordered their veg platter. Well both the things were really tasty, specially the platter as it was served with 6 unique chatni's and i lived everyone with the platter. soup was perfect as it should be also they served us complimentary papad in the shape of cone which i enjoyed Service and hospitality of the place is nice. They were taking care of the table and i didnt had to wait for them to appear to ask for anything which was a very good point as its missing now a days from a lot of restaurant, the only thing that disappoointed me was the platter, i saw its pic on zomato and instagram (indoriZyaka) it looked really tasty with a lot of variety in it.. well the platter served was normal and was decent compared to what they have posted for their promotion. i guess promotion can make a fool now. Overall the place is not too costly , price is genuinely perfect, price to quanity ratio is good (considering soup) rest i dont have any complaint other than what you see is not what you get. overall recommended.

A very good place to go out with friends. Good ambience, right from the moment you open the door, even the glasses in which they serve you drinks are full of funky quotes. Food is good, though a little high on the pocket. They need to stack more of beer ranges though. Been here twice, and the quality of the food was good.
