It was my first experience here in Marigold, Golden Tulip.
Ordered a la carte.
Had Egg Fried Rice, Chicken Appetizer, Fried Corn in Salt and Pepper, Mixed Vegetables in Garlic Sauce , Crispy Chicken w/ Roasted Cashews, Bread Fish Fillet, Vegetable Noodles.
The food was just amazing and impeccably cooked.
But the quantity needs to get improved a bit, otherwise courteous staff and peaceful environment.
Keep it up šŸ‘

It is a great to have morning breakfast if you are a morning person and loves to eat outside. Or if you got out with friends on a night out and looking for breakfast you can have the unlimited breakfast here. The variety of food, juices, teas and for both vegan and non- vegan.

If you ever stay at Golden tulip for your Jaipur getaway.. give Garlic Bread a must try! That's the best baked garlic bread you would get here.. try the morning breakfast with Aloo pakoda and Idli with coconut chutney.. even South Indian restaurants don't have this beautiful coconut flavor as is with this chutney..

Staff is good. Service is quick. Though one might get to wait coz of crowd during breakfast buffet. Seems chef has not really good hand on desserts. Had this buffet for nearly 15 days of my stay and still dint get bored. But on the last day an incident happen to me where I found a 'hair' in chole, when shown to staff they apologized even chef came for apology, asked for replacement while making it clear it's a female hair and there is no female staff in the kitchen n gave a blame on some guest. Though could not find reason to fight with but dint have any other item later. Else it went all good for all other days.

Overall - 7/10

Well plated, appetizing food. Decor is subtle and ambience is fine. Buzzing yet not over crowded with a mix of foreigners and locals. Reasonably priced. Perfectly value for money. Prompt service.

Overall a fine dining experience. Highly recommended.

Loved the traditional decor of Jaipuri umbrella's hanging from the ceiling in the lobby.

Stayed here from July 18 to July 20. Room No 104

Here are my observations:

The Platter:

============================================

Groovy spread in breakfast.

Boiled eggs, Cheese Grilled Tomato, Potato Croquettes, Honey Glazed Carrot, Broken wheat porridge

Poori, Aloo Mutter veggie, Aloo parantha, Besan Chilla,

Medu wada, Plain Idli, Masala Idli,

Sabudana Khichdi, Aloo Bhonda,

Moong Dal Halwa, Morning bakery.

Fresh Pineapple Juice, Canned orange juice, Fresh Bittergourd Juice

Milk and cereals.

The Property:

============================================

Located in the heart of the city. Close to the busy MI Road. Unlike most other premium hotels which are cut off and located close to the faraway airport.

The faƧade is imaginative, typical Rajwada style.

Huge real estate in the reception area, and very artistically designed.

The Place:

============================================

1) This was a Suite room, which was exactly that, a decent sized hall area, and a separate largish King sized bedroom.

2) White bed sheets and pillow cases. Comfortable pillows and medium hard mattresses. Good sleep quality.

3) TWO 32 inch LED TVs. Yes for HD Channels.

4) Two 500 ml bottled mineral water complimentary. A downer here. Each got over at one swig. Any extra bottles chargeable.

5) Decent lighting. No complaints there.

6) TWO restrooms. Large-sized bathroom. Yes for shaving mirror. No weighing scale. A Hairdryer present. No Yoga Mat. Clean linen. Hair shampoo, body gel and soaps. Shaving kit, dental kit, hair grooming kit ā€“ on demand. No pressure pumped water shower, but quite decent.

7) The bathing area was separated by a full glass partition from the rest of the bathroom. No spillage on the outside floor area.

8) A well functioning AC.

9) A well functioning Wi Fi.

10) Inadequate mobile/laptop charging points.

The Postlude:

============================================

Yes. Always. Ever and ever.

I stayed at Golden Tulip Jaipur near Panch Batti on MI Road and was initially shocked for the facade is deceptive and the real hotel is hidden behind the wall that faces the main road. It was a big relief to see the place and Marigold in the lobby was a welcome sight with inverted inlayed umbrellas hanging in the middle from the roof top.

I had a drink in the bar with a salad and both wereĀ  just above average and I did not take note of the place and then came dinner and I just casually checked if there was a Thali on the Menu and they readily agreed to do one for me---And ho they surprised me yet again and this time it was a delightful one with an awesome mix of the local delicacies done very tastefully and in style -It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for-A bit of everything to get a feel of a typical Rajasthani Veg Dinner-Ā

The combination of local dry and curry vegetables, the typical rajasthani Kadi, and the rice with butter milk and the Paneer preparation and not to forget the dry dish done with a local flower were all too pleasing and amazing -The main course was such a heavy meal that I had to for the first time say no the Sweet Dish in my life.

Serious Suggestion - They should make it a permanent feature on their Menu and it will be a big hit for both the locals and the travelers as I just love the taste, flavors and the combination and the generous proportions were big enough to cater to two people.

Hopefully next time will visit on an empty stomach and gobble up my ras malai and other items for my sweet tooth

Had been at Golden Tulip Jaipur in the month of June and the experience of the hotel was quite good.

Came here with family on a vacation, we stayed there for two nights so it is a review for the breakfast

Marigold of Golden Tulip Jaipur is a pretty good with a wide array of multi-cuisine dishes and ambience is quite soothing as well. Well broaden breakfast

Buffet Breakfast: has a good Indian spread starting from South Indian to Indian Paratha and Poori etc. In live counters, you have Omelette. The Pattern for breakfast is elaborate with squeaky clean and quality preparations and one has many options to choose from.

Good delicious food and that's something you will enjoy and savour.

NotNice place to visit, excellent place to take photos. Not far away from hotels. Superb view, good crowd, all types of eateries nearby. A bit traffic problem, but manageable. It's a must visit and famous place, synonym for New Delhi. Other tourist places like Parliament House and Rashtrapati Bhavan are very near to it

We were staying in Golden Tulip during our Jaipur trip. Hence we booked buffet breakfast at Marigold. And I would like to mention that there was a huge variety starting from fruits, cereals, and all types of American breakfast as well as Indian breakfast. Also for all those who like continental dinner do try the chicken Caesar salad and the grilled fish with lemon caper butter.

This restaurant is located in a very elegant yet at the center of the city. The restaurant's interiors are quite pleasant and the place is quite huge to occupy a huge crowd. They serve buffet as well apart from a la carte. I liked their chicken platter compared to the veg one. Their dal makhaani was my favorite.

I went there to a birthday party of a friend. We opted for the buffet meal. It starts at 7:30 but the complete menu is laid out not until after 7:50. The ambience of the restaurant was good and the staff was cooperative. There were a number of food items to choose from, but what I liked most was their desserts. The truffle cake and the moong dal halwa were great.Ā

The main course was good and there were both veg and non-veg preparations. I had the mutton preparation and the paneer preparation with veg jalfrezi. All in, it was a Ā nice experience.

Breakfast - Spread is decent with live counters for eggs and dosa. However, the staff is not able to manage it well. The tables remain untidy post guests have eaten and the orders come slowly from the live counters. The bakery goods taste fine but the buffet items are not always good.

Dinner - They made fresh mixed vegetable for us which taste good and the rotis were crisp as well. The walnut brownie with ice cream was a little too sweet.

We opted for A la carte since my dad dont have lehsun so we ordered jodhpuri panchmel dal, punjabi chana masala and khazana-e-lazzat(which was basically delicious malai kofta in white gravy) and breads.
Service was prompt and servers were polite and experience was good.

We had to visit Marigold while staying at the Golden Tulip...primarily for the fact that everything in the hotel seems to enticing. The lobby is inviting and has an array of sofas and couches depicting the royal haveli setup that it has. However, the restaurant is chic and does not complement the overall traditional theme of the hotel. Same is the case with the lounge and the cafe adjoining this multi-cuisine restaurant. Nonetheless, the tables are spread across the space and offer a good seating irrespective of the number of people. The restaurant is quite vibrant with ample lighting and good selection of colors. The medium sized tables in the center are quite appealing.

They have buffet dinner option on the weekends but we went for the Ala carte instead. To start of we had the sweet corn soup and the hara bhara kebab. The soup was a bit bland to my taste. I generally prefer it piping hot and like to add a dash of black pepper to it. Moving on to the starters, the kebabs were done nicely and were quite soft as against the deep fried hard crusted hara bhara kebabs you get at most of the places.

To suffice two people we had the subz diwani and lachha paratha accompanied with some dal makhani. The vegetable was just about ok with diced vegetables tossed in a onion and tomato gravy. It did lack any kind of wow element in it. The daal was a better option to soak your paratha in with enough butter to make it sweetish while managing the consistency. We did have some jeera rice to make it a wholesome main course.

To end it in a royal way what better than malpua and rabdi. Honestly, we did not have room for desserts but what can you say. Overall, the food experience was above average.Ā

The service levels were up to the mark. The wait times were minimal and the server always had some suggestions if asked for. What works for Marigold is the complete package....food, service, ambience.

Marigold is the multi cuisine dining choice at the Golden Tulip Hotel on the very famous touristy part of Jaipur - the MI road. While the hotel entrance doesn't excite, once you enter the porch the Golden Tulip is pleasing hotel property.

Situated at the lobby level, Marigold serves Continental, Chinese but predominantly North Indian cuisine. While the menu may disappoint you with the limited offerings, don't hesitate to ask what beyond the menu they can serve you. They'll usually be happy to make things out of the menu too. The restaurant is decent sized, about 70 covers and offers comfortable seating with generous space between tables, so as to not let the neighbour smell your food. šŸ˜‰

To kick off we ordered the Paneer Tikka - unlike the usual, it was subtly marinated, well grilled served with decent portion of veggies to go with. The mains were elaborate - Malai Kofta (which is hugely recommended) and a dryish mix vegetable (missing the exact name here). Both served well for my palate. Nothing too rich or over the top but full marks to the chef. We also called in Dal makhani which matched my expectations. The breads - Garlic naan and Tandoori Roti was served and repeated hot and nice. By the way, the Mrs ordered for a Penne in white sauce which was not bad either.

The only time when I was a tad bit disappointed was that we had ask for water and follow it up with a reminder. Not something you can give a pass when dinning inside a 4 star hotel property.

All in all, I stepped in hungry and stepped out happy.

My Verdict

Food: 4/5
Service: 3/5
Menu: 3.5/5
Pricing: 4/5
Ambience: 3.5/5

It has become fashionable these days to announce a food festival pertaining to a particular cuisine like Thai,Chinese,Goan etc. Some restaurants do justice to their claim, others use it just as an eye wash to draw enthusiastic foodies.I visited this place in search of authentic Thai, but it was routine stuff. Not that it was bad,but when a foodie goes for something original and authentic, something which is so typical of that cuisine, and doesn't get it,he naturally is disappointed.Nothing is more alluring than checking out the subtle difference between cuisines, and we take time out only for that, not to have another standard meal.Nevertheless, the place scores in terms of ambience and the cheerful service it provided with reasonably good food.

This review in itself conveys what to expect as it will start from 0 and will go up steadily as I bring forward to you that If you haven't visited Golden Tulip, you are missing out something grand. It will have its ups and downs.

There is a straight lane from where you enter and then move ahead towards the parking area. The guards will assist you as to where to go ahead and help in getting your car parked. When you step out, you see a huge door of glass from where the effective entry into the hotel starts. I was amazed when I entered the lobby. It depicts class, absolute class. One by one the reception, the marigold restaurant, the bar, the cafe were situated. The lights, the umbrellas at the top, which I absolutely adored, and other things which were increasing the class of the place as a whole, the cleanliness, the fragnance all in combination were shining bright and depicting that this is something you do not come across every day in the city.

Now lets come to the important information. The Fooooooddddd, lots and lots of it. Since I went in for a buffet, I consider myself lucky because some of the best dishes, specially the salads were at the stage asking to be eaten. The shorba did not exist for me, it was purely of water and nothing else. I have posted a picture of the 7 amazing salads, all of them were sheer delight.
Special mention: the bannana cream salad. Gulped it thrice. Tasstyyyy

The main course, sorry, forgot to click a picture as I got too involved in eating it. The dal makhni was amazing, paneer lababdaar was very dissapointing, the lauki khorma was unexpected yet very delicious, but malai kofta stole the show for me, though its also my personal favorite and I might be a bit baist but indeed it was the stand out in the main course. The noodles were ineffective as long as I asked the chef to add some soya and chilli sauce to it. Trust me, my tounge thanked me after every bite. The breads were nice, specially the garlic naan, loved every bite.

The desserts
Ras malai was a complete blooper, like it kind of forced me to forget the tasty food I had eaten just before it. It did not smell nice and I did not consider it fit for eating. The chocalte ball was bad too. But the gulab jamuns and vanilla ice cream some what revived the magic.

The staff were brilliant, very friendly, were there to explain as to what was put forward on the table to be eaten. They also asked me that non veg was also availaible, (but I being a pure veggie, smilled and siad no) Actually, They were too good. The ambience was sensational.

But I think a 1000 bucks for one human was a little too much. Anyways, thumbs upp to the salads specially, which increased my respect for the different varities of salads that could be made with minimal effort.

To conclude 5/5 to ambience, atmosphere, seating arrangement, lights, staff, and the wash rooms as well. Very nicely built and comfortable. 3/5 Just some loop holes in the main course and some big blunders in the dessert area. What was really shocking was that the ras malai was smelling bad and I am sure it had deteriorated due to improper storage.

But, A Great experience and I thought if my pocket would have been debited with 800 bucks, that would have been worth it.

This restaurant is so clean thats the first thing that comes to my mind when I stepped in. We had our breakfast here 3 day during our stay in the hotel and the food was very good. A selections of fresh fruit juices, milkshakes, fresh cut fruits, pancakes, jams and maple syrup, dosas, idlis, live egg counter, sambar, chutneys and what not!

We even ordered food to our room from here one night, veg fried rice, egg fried rice and pasta. The red sauce pasta was one of the best I had in my life! Freshly made red sauce with olives and cheese on the pasta, what a delight!

Service is prompt and enough space available for dine in.

PREFACE (skippable)
So fellas! Here comes my 100th review:) finally,i have made a century and i am over the nervous nineties :D (yippiiiii)
I kept taking singles and playing defensively, never did 20-20 like posting n settled for a long test match.i thank each and every follower who stood by my side n kept me going by liking and commenting on my stuff.thanks a lot to zomato too...i never loved eating more than i do now:)

Due to the tight work schedule yet regular eating..i have lots n lots of reviews in hand..but i am choosing this recent experience at GoldenTulip hotel's Marigold restaurant for the 100th review. The property is just a month old n the restaurant is really worth something good!
(As told by their staff, golden tulip is coowned by the owner of hotel jaies)Ā

THE MAIN REVIEW

AMBIENCEĀ
5/5
I first noticed their main gate while passing through MI ROAD...i could only see a well lit aisle n few guards standing on both corners.Ā
This didnt leave a very nice first impression as almost the whole building of the hotel is invisible from out outside.there is a lane of big shops and showrooms covering the whole thing and just leaving a well lit passage.
I assumed that this hotel is gonna a claustrophobics nightmare..it wont have anything special etcĀ
But..last week i was out for dinner with a friend and dunno why i got the itch of trying it atleast for once. (A failed experience could easily lead us to copper chimney or niros,so we were safe)Ā

Every assumption was wrong! The ambience is quite impressive.they have managed the spacing pretty well. There is ample space for parking, breathing and looking at the hotel from outside.Ā
As we stepped in,the lobby was even more impressive. Very quiet and extremely flawless n clean..everything was shining in full glory n restaurant/bar/coffee shop all were situated on the ground floor, one next to the other..
The glass walls and whole lighting arrangement was awesome! Marigold restaurant looked huge from outside (see all the pictures i cant express more in words)Ā
Even though the hotel itself has compromised a bit on location..i rate Marigold 5/5 for ambience. The way they have managed such a spacious n airy decor..marvellous!Ā

SERVICEĀ
4.5/5
I rarely give high ratings for service but the staff here took things to the next level..from stepping in n acquiring a table of choice to paying the bill n going out..each moment was comfortable and enjoyable for us!Ā
They were extra friendly (yet very well mannered),insisted to serve every time we needed something more...repeatedly..
The butler helped me to place each dish within my cameras reach and helped me click! The Chef came to our table to ask how the food was n if we needed anything else..
They spoilt us really bad, service was top notch!Ā
(M deducting 0.5 just to see if they maintain this standard during busy days..we were the only guests tht day)

FOOD
3.5/5
We ordered everything IndianĀ
Chicken tikka
Mutton rogan josh
Yellow dalĀ
Zeera riceĀ
Butter naans
N ice creams for dessert

CHICKEN TIKKA was great! Flesh was as soft as cream and the flavour was perfectly blended within each tikka. Marination and roasting were just perfect!Ā

ROGAN JOSH was the second best, lamb's equal sized pieces were soft and juicy..the gravy tasted just the way muslims make it..unlike at most five stars, their gravy had tht typical mughlai flavour.no forced richness of cream and cashew yet balanced oil and spices. I loved it!

DAAL was pretty bland and had the overriding flavour of deshi ghee..it still went well with jeera rice but daal was not as good as other things

BUTTER NAANS were soft n nicely made..no complains

The only let down was the ice cream part! It was extremely frozen..n as we waited for it to melt..it became watery and tasteless.Ā
I guess tht it was stocked for a longer than expected time.full of ice crystals..we didnt finish as it was hitting my throatĀ
(Not so good daal and bad ice cream is making me deduct 1star else i could give it 4.5 for food)

VALUE FOR MONEY
4/5
its a 4star hotel yet the feel is nothing less than (if not better) than marriott or othe newly constructed 5 star hotels in town!Ā
The ala carte menu is nicely priced and there are promotional deals that you can avail. I am really satisfied with the experience..seeing the price, the lavish feel is great value for money

FINAL VERDICT
Its a shame that they are struggling for hotel occupancy and lack of guests at restaurants/bar/coffee shop.the main reason is the lack of advertisement and young age of the hotel but hey! Its our duty to help it survive and keep all the services going.Ā
I am surely going to frequent their restaurant and coffee shop n highly recommend the place to people seeking pocket friendly lavish experience! Ā
A big Thumbs up from my side:)
