We had one filter coffee and a balaji special family dosa.
Dosa was crisp. Great indeed.
Masala was also authentic.
Coconut chutney could have been better (it was watery)
Sambar wasn’t authentic.
Tomato onion chutney was stale👎🏻
Filter coffee, though not exactly like madras kappii but still good enough.
Overall a good restaurant for south indian food in Jaipur

One of the best south Indian food cafe in Jaipur . They are serving Verity of south Indian food . They are serving best sambhar , proper thickness and quality . What I like the most is family size dosa and cheese dosa . This two are ultimate . I suggest you to visit this place if are in search of good south Indian food in city
Blessed with graciousness of Shree Triputi Balaji, the cafe serves best south indian food in area.
Shree Balaji Cafe serves authentic south indian food enriched with real masalas, spices and flavours.
Place is price worthy!
Boom and Bang stuff, must recommended is their SBC special Dosa -- kind of giant, giant dosa, I mean really huge just at 255/- .
* Tomato Onion Uttpam, Mogla Podai Idli, Rawa Masala Dosa are yet another must try option.
* Not too much spacious, but you will definitely fall in love with the place.
Yes They serve Authentic South indian food . The shree Balaji cafe is situated at Tonk Road .The main thing about this place is perfect south Indian taste .
You can see south Indian stars on the wall and the proper sitting .
We tried Cheese Paneer Dosa , malga podi idli and the SBC special Dosa along with South indian Thali . The Dosa was good I tried malga podi for the second time and my experience was good with it . I loved the most was their sambhar and red chutney ( imli waali ,) I tried south Indian Thali for the first time( i liked it but but not loved it 🤭🤭). The main attraction from this place is their SBC special Dosa ( A gient dosa ) which was crispy af and the last South Indian tea a drink which is mandatory from this place . Though they needed little bit improvement in their services . But the food was awesome . Love to visit this place again 🤗🤗.
A nice small outlet with quite a good seatings for the most appetizing South Indian food . I must they have a variety of South Indian items and all tastes the same as the original South Indian dishes . The quantity and the quality for all dishes are totally nominal and satisfactory for what we get .
A must to have a visit at this place and try their items .

Prices are reasonable to afford.
Also serves best quality of thalis.
Highly recommend place to visit with your friends and family.
Don't go on the ambience of this place.. it's not a flashy one but decent enough. Their taste is like top notch but and that covers even more what ambience would cover. The highlight would be the the longest dosa also called as shree balaji special dosa..it is highly recommended. Overall everything we tasted was nice and like the taste buds just couldn't resist having less. Their coffee also is good option. Rest watch it in photos 😄🤩
If you are searching for authentic South India food then you are at the right place.

I was looking for south indian food then visited here.
Had Onion Rava Masala Dosa which was value for money.
Even though there was something missing in the item, the service was good. The behavior of the staff was very polite and helpful. However, zomato's service wasn't good enough..there should be phone number for Zomato customer service instead of only chat service. It will make the feedback process convenient and less time consuming. Any action in this regard would be great. You can call me at 9819279103 for any discussion regarding this. Thank you.
A basic Cafe for South indian Food

Very tasty and fulfilling food.
One of the best south indian food i have ever had in north . I think so i cant get such a authentic south indian food in rajasthan . The best part for south people are they have south indian staff so that the south indian customer feel easy to communicate with the staff . Taste wise there are no words to describe about the taste . I can just say the real authentic taste of south indian food .
awesome dosa lovely taste
Visited SBC so many times for South Indian Cuisine and they never disappointed me in TASTE & FOOD QUALITY. Place is very small and ambience is also not so attractive but their strength is FOOD which covers all. The price of some item look bit expensive according to place. They have large number of variety in Dosa and other South Indian Cuisine.
My recommendations from the Menu are -
1. Spring Dosa
2. Shezwan Dosa
3. Pizza Dosa
4. French Fries
5. OTC Pizza
6. Mysore Masala Dosa
7. Onion Rawa Masala Dosa
Shree balaji café located near laxmi mandir cinema in lalkothi.

Service 4 / 5
Value for money 4.5 / 5
Food was excellent but it was deliverd cold
Being away from home for a while was craving a good South Indian meal. Not very sure what Jaipur could offer, landed up here with low expectations ... just because it seemed to offer proper South Indian meal and not just Idli Dosa as many ‘South Indian’ places do. Must say was pleasantly surprised because every bit of the meal offered taste of proper South India. Lemon rice, Sambar, Rasam, Kootu, Poriyal, butter milk, apalam .. everything was on the spot. The only down was dessert (Kesri Bath) which was nowhere close. But all in all .. thank you for giving me the taste of home!
Taste is very good but cost high
Good taste excellent service, keep it up !

SHREE BALAJI CAFE
Located near Lakshmi Mandir Cinema. A small cafe serving one of the best South Indian food in a city like Jaipur.
What we tried:
1. Coconut dosa (3/5)
Ample amount of freshly grated coconut all over inside the dosa served with sambhar, coconut chutney and tomato chutney.
2. Chaach (4/5)
Their chaach is not like just another chaach that we use to get. It's tempered with sarson, curry leaves and magical spices.
3. Aplam (3.5/5)
Taste was pretty good.
4. Rasam (4/5)
One of the best rasam I ever had in Jaipur.
Overall,
Ambience: 2.5/5

Authentic Tamilian food ! Love this place. Reasonable and simply themed seating. Their ghee idli and fliter coffee is mouth watering and even the service is great. Going to visit again :)
First visit to this lil place but so happily surprised.
Feels like a South Indian dhaba.
Very hearty and fresh feeling dosas. The coconut and tomato chutneys were really nice. The sambhar was the hero of the show. So tangy and fresh.
We ordered a plain dosa , Mysore masala dosa , masala dosa and a special vegetable uttapam.
Everything came on our table pretty quick.
The dosas are very nominally priced.
Rating this place 4.5/5 coz of the absence of green chutney.
Highly recommend this place for South Indian cravings !
Good food....Excellent service food that I ordered was on time.Just like to say please write the name of the dish on the top of each packaging box was Really satisfied with the quantity & Was happy with extra chutney and sambhar.

The staff was very friendly but service is slow.
Food served here is really tasty with authentic South Indian taste.
The best south indian food in jaipur. Yes "The Best" i have been in south for 15 years before shfiting to Jaipur and i know how does a sambhar and chutney tastes like. And they have the proper chef from Tamil Nadu..

"Trid the south indian thali, and it was good not that much great.. Interior and ambience was ok,nees to improve on interior side.
A good visit "
This South Indian cafe is located on the Lakshmi Mandir Terhaya by the side of Lakshmi Mandir Cinema Hall.
The ambience is just great, the seating arrangement is not that much and there are chances that place gets a little congested during rush hours. The parking space is good. They have wide variety of food but one should just try their South Indian meals for which they quite famous in the neighbouring areas.
I ordered a Mysore Masala dosa and Sambhar Idli the idlis were a little dry but the dosa was just awesome.
This place is pretty light on your pocket one should visit this place if he/she loves South Indian food.
As a dosa lover, I visited the place to try some authentic Dosai from South India. I ordered for Rawa masala dosai. Though they took a long time to prepare the dosa, but dosa was tasty. The sambhar and chatni were also good. This place itself smells u of any South Indian cafe. Ambience is fine. As the owners and cooks of this place are from South India. Overall I rate this place as
Food :4/5
Ambience :4/5
Service :3.5/5
Value for money :4/5
I love south indian food and always wants to try new place to get that authentic taste of it. The place is small but good. They also have a big poster of rajnikant sir over there. Ordered rawa masala dosai(3/5) and ghee podai masala dosa..(4/5). Food was average.
finally i went to shree balaji cafe to full fill my stomach and i found my favorite dish South India thali ..and its amazing test and worth full...
It's a small place with good south Indian food. We ordered a Rawa Dosa and Masala Ghee Roast. Both are equally good. The Masala Ghee Roast is nice and crispy and the Masala filling is in good amount and it is chatpata.
Rawa Dosa has a light and fluffy dosa texture.
It's one of the good places for south Indian in Jaipur.
Value for Money : Yes :-)
Small place but good food. Being south indian I felt the quality didn't match the ones in TN but considering it is North India, it was great. The service was also good...
This is a small place but the quality of the food is simply superb. I don't like much of south indian but this is the place where I ate too much. Excellent service n decent place to enjoy your meal. I recommend it.
I have visit this place twice. It's a small cozy place... Speciality is south Indian food. And I must say it was good in taste too.. Ambiance is average.. Value for money place..
If you are looking for very resealable authentic south indian food then this place will serve your requirements.

Tired and completely broken after my shooting practice session. While coming back I saw this outlet was dark at 6:30 pm(I mean they haven't switched on the light).i was with my kids and even they were Hungary.
We ordered quite a few things : please refer the bills.
Quality of food was excellent, ambience was pretty descent. Try there South Indian filter coffee and onion rawa masala.
Price is descent.
Must visit and good food
As a South Indian.. This place serves actual South Indian food... Not powered coconut chutney.. Decent food for its cost.. Little bit costly.. Very comfortable seating with air conditioning.. Seems like hygienic place.. Has parking area.. Don't order North Indian food or foreign snacks here.. Overall satisfied with the service nd quality of food
WARNING: Do not ask for home-delivery. The owner makes lame excuses that his guy is not here and he will call back. Then he never calls. This has happened multiple times with me. But yes, if you want to visit, please read the review below.
Shree Balaji Cafe is a great place to enjoy the authentic South Indian food experience. Period.
But we need more information that that, don't we? Let's go then...
The cafe is located in Lal Kothi(area densely populated with students), right when you turn towards Sahkar Marg from Tonk Road. Looks pretty cool from outside, though the place is quite small. The cafe's look and feel reminds you again and again that it would be a foolish thing to try North Indian food here. And hence, I did not...
The interiors are very simple. Inside you will also find the pictures of Amma (Jayalalitha), Kamal Hasan and Rajni Kanth, from which I guessed that the owner must be Tamil. Kitchen is right there next to seating area, and even the entire seating area does not have more than 20-25 seats. The service was pretty quick and as soon as I entered, the waiter (wearing a lungi) was there to attend.
Starting with the classic South Indian coffee which they serve in a cup and you are supposed to pour that in saucer and then drink, for that traditional experience, yes it was yummy. I think they had used Nescafe coffee, but somehow the taste felt very rich.
Food? Ah I loved the food here. I had South Indian Thali and it could not have been any matter. And yes, eating the whole Thali could be a bit of challenge. They serve four Puri, two variety of rice (including curd rice), rasam, two vegetables, curd, pickle and a gulab jamun. I specially loved the feel of vegetables and rasam. The spices used were apt and in right amounts.
Even their Masala Dosa is a good option. I liked their tomato chutney. Sambhar and coconut chutney were decent, not too great, not too bad.
The prices are not too high and therefore, given the kind of food they have, I think this place is worth a visit.
Shree Balaji Cafe; flanked by the HDFC Bank and Laxmi Mandir Cinema can be easily missed. It is further obsured by the fleet of parked vehicles during the day. I happened to discover this petite wonder rather serendipitiously. With umpteen chairs clustered in a small area my first impression was mixed. I didnt know what i was in for...(i was mentally prepared for an average meal and decided to keep the critic in me under control)
However one look at the menu and my spirits were lifted instantly. It looked promising with an assortment of basic South Indian fare - idlis, dosas, uttapams interspersed with dosas with a contemporary twist for those willing to experiment. There is also a South Indian thali and some popular North Indian and continental snacks and deserts. I ended up ordering a generous spread consisting of podi idli, rasam vada, onion rava dosa and mysore masala dosa.
While i waited for my food i could'nt help but notice the prints which adorned the wall. The artwork, conscientiously chosen lays out the essence and heart of South India before us making one smile and overawed all at once.
I was beginning to relax and enjoy the atmosphere when my food arrived.
And lo behold !!!
My food came piping hot, the idlis, dosas et al served on verdant banana leaves so typical of a traditional South Indian joint. In my opinion the benchmark of dexterity in South Indian cuisine is the way they do the sambhar, rasam, chutneys and the rava dosa and Shree Balaji cafe scores a perfect 10 for their preparations. It was a sheer gastronomical delight to dine at this humble cafe. I learnt that not just the team but also the ingredients and vegetables are sourced all the way from Chennai. It speaks highly of their committment to serve nothing but authenthic South Indian fare. I must add that this is the only place in Jaipur where i found drum sticks in sambhar just like one would in an udipi joint down south and upon inquiry i found that the drumsticks too come from Chennai !!!
The onion -rava dosa was crisp and a perfect shade of golden, the best in town. Likewise for the mysore masala dosa. I wrapped up my meal with coffee which came in the quintessentially South Indian style - piping hot in a small steel glass and steel saucer !! It cannot get more authentic than this !!!
My dining experience was further enhanced by the impeccable service. The serveurs were eager and enthusiastic; ever ready to answer all my questions.
It was with much trepidation that i entered this cafe initially only to be surprised and mesmerized by the authentic flavours and taste. This easy to miss cafe is infact NOT TO BE MISSED !!
Kudos to Shree Balaji Cafe
Just three things:
1. Basic south indian food.
2. Affordable prices.
3. No-frills restaurant .
Just expect these three things and you will not be disappointed.
The hospitality is great , and the serving and the Food very great and homely experience. This reminded me the south, food served on the leaf of a banana tree,
Coffee in a pure south Indian style in stainless steel glass and stainless steel saucer , IDLY SO soft and SAMBER Purely south Indian style and the last Dosa is simply Super totaly the dishess are mouth watering.
