Recently visited this fort. Absolutely loved it. The history and architecture is mind blowing. A good step by Rajasthan Government to cap the charges of guides at 400. Was able to get a jeep to show around all the 3 forts nearby. The crowd is too much though at the monument which does lead to traffi
The fort is a great architectural landmark and definitely a must visit when in Jaipur. The fort is about 12-15 kms away from the main city so you need transportation to get there. The entrance fee is about 200 Rs and the climb is steep. There are jeeps that get you up to the top and you can work wit
The ticket price for foreigners is 502R (~6$). But you have to wait in a long queue. Yes, there are so many people!! And you have to walk for a while to reach. The ticket counter is up there in the palace To me, it is the most amazing of all places in Jaipur. One of the greatest engineering marvels
Amber Palace is a fantastic and historically important place. Use a government guide for insights. Wear comfy clothes and shoes due to lots of walking and stairs. Shop, but it's a bit pricey. Consider walking or using local jeeps, as parking is tough if you bring your car.
Plan your trip accordingly. I'll suggest devote a full day trip so that you can enjoy the scenic view. Although, I came here in a one day tour package, the only con is that we have to leave early and cannot watch the light show.
It's s very big fort/Palace atop a hill in Jaipur. You should have good amount of time with you to completely explore the place. On weekends it can take a lot of time to reach the Palace due to traffic. But its worth the wait and efforts.
Fantastic place with so much history. Make sure to get a guide (400 or so rupees) to really learn what this beautiful place was all about. Massive palace sitting on the mountain in the middle of a jungle. Such a wonder how these structures were built so long ago and are still standing so sturdy toda

The best fort I have ever seen in my life. It looks like heaven on earth in the evening. You can opt Elephant ride to visit the fort in the day time and by walk or in the car in the evening.
Amber Palace was beautiful in its design and scale and a must visit site for any travelling to India as a tourism hub. The intricate carvings and fortifications of red sandstone and white marble make it majestic wherever you were to look. It has a rich history of battles with cannons placed inside a
Brilliant place with so much historical significance. Prefer taking a guide (specifically government ones) - you can identify them as they wear government ID’s Prefer wearing comfortable clothes and footwear (specifically) as it involves a lot of walking and climbing stairs You can do shop (howev
Amazing fort, well maintained with stunning views. Full of history and interesting secrets. Make sure you get official tour guide and don’t get ripped off though.
A visit to the fort is an essential part of any Jaipur tour. The fort encompasses a large area and is filled with many structures, halls, rooms and gardens each with its own story and special purpose. Make sure you get a good guide and arrive early to beat the huge crowds that are attracted to this
Amber fort is one of the must see places in Jaipur. Most of the fort is open, and winters is a perfect time to explore this beautiful fort and know its history. A guide is a must to truly appreciate the significance and artmanship of the entire fort.
Really enjoyed the trip. And we feel the royalty. I love my Jaipur & Rajasthan ♥️ as it is known for its Forts and Royalty. I worshipped at Shilla Devi Temple which was brought by King Mansingh from West Bengal.
This is the only fort we have visited in Jaipur. Definitely worth visiting. The only thing to be mindful of is the commute time, it took almost 1.5 hours to get there due to the traffic but google map was showing 40mins. We also hired a tour guide, but not super useful to be honest
Loved the place because of its greatness and beauty. You can see the wall on the hill looking like the Great Wall. The palace has great architecture, filled with marks of time. However all the chambers were empty, maybe you can find what were inside at the UK National museum. The smell was bad, bra
The Amber Palace is extremely large and you really do need a guide to find your way around and get the history of the Palace. The traffic getting to the palace can be hectic so make sure you have plenty of time for the journey and to be able to appreciate this amazing place. Probably would not recom
