Been there for breakfast and I got to say that I had few expectations when dining with world's the best hotel and was surprised that those were raised in every aspect. Be it food, service your experiences starts the moment you step in. Special thanks to Mr. Puneet for taking good care of us. And Mr. Suryadeep for reserving the right table. A must visit for anyone travelling to Jodhpur or local residents as well so that they can come to know what jewel they have in the city of Jodhpur.
Bahut Hi Accha Hai Risala Restaurant Khana Bhi Bahut Tasty Hai Aur Service Bhi Fast Hai Aur Bhi Bahut Kuch Umaid Bhawan Palace Ke Baare Mai Ati Sundar Hai Ye Palace Ye Hamare Jodhpur Ki Shaan Hai Umaid Bhawan Aur Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji Bhi Bahut Acche Insaan Hai Mujhe Ek Baar Maharaja Gaj Singh Ji Se Milna Hai Aur Saath Mai Puri Family Se Bhi Yh Meri Tamana Hai Milne Ki
Well... This place screams royalty. Was an expensive meal but definitely worth the experience. Advice you to reserve in advance as unreserved visits aren't really entertained. When u reach the palace you are welcomed by this amazing piece of architecture, just amazing lighting and even better interiors. We are then led to this wonderful dining hall... Apt lighting, just the right temperature, great cutlery and friendly stewards. We went through the extensive wine and food menu and wanted to go with Laal maans and roti but were persuaded by the steward to go with the royal marwar Thali and we weren't disappointed. A sorbet, prawn and chicken starters, assortment of veg and non veg dishes, which included Laal maans, chicken malai, paneer, gatte ki sabji, jungli beans Dal, assorted breads and rice... The taste was pretty authentic, spicy and well prepared. We were even offered bread apart from the accompanying ones. After a hearty meal it was time for dessert... And WOW... 4 desserts... Rasmalai lwith dry fruits... Just amazing. The gulab Jamun, actually Gulabi and aptly seasoned with the right amount of sweetness, ghevar and a peda. I was full... Food almost overflowing my oesophagus. Oh and I forgot to add the Sauvignon red wine... Crisp and fragrant went amazingly well with the food.
The experience was unlike any other... The food well prepared and authentic. But.... For 12k plus taxes for two, a little on the expensive side. Also, worth the experience... A definite must Visit- at least once.
Fantastic gourgios beautiful dining tasty food and so the staff being polite and friendly , nice environment a feeling of royality , loved it
The most delicious food
Spectacular ambience
Excellent service and hospitality
Is all a happy foodie needs and this place deems fit in all these categories!
I wish I had a 10 rater scale for this one!!
Mouth watering food with awesome view and incredible service would make you feel like royal highness. The only hotel in india serving champaign breakfast was cherry on the top. From south indian plattet consisting of masala dosa, idli, curd rice, totamo rice, uttappa, mendu vada and 3 types of chutney with sambhar all in miniature versions was one of the best south indian food i ever had.. from punjabi to Italian everything was superb!
This place is quite exquisite with it's beautiful crockery and authentic Rajasthani cuisine. The laal Maas they served was the best I have ever had. The chocolate mud pie is something you wouldnt want to miss. The service is impeccable. So if you are looking for an experience, then this place is a a must visit.
The most awesomene bit of this restaurant is the staff. They are super polite and can engage in a nice conversation. The food is very good. Special recommendation for Jodhpuri Gatta... The best gatta I have ever tasted
Speechless, it’s really tough to write anything about this place. From hospitality to ambiance, food to presentation standards, everything leave you spellbound. One of the best experiences in my life. Yes you read it right, it’s actually a life time experience.
Even 5star rating is less. I would give them 100 out of 100. Their service was excellent. Few senior stewards were too good at their work. I don’t remember all their names but just remember Bhopalji names. Always had smile on his face. How much ever I speak about their service is less. Coming to their food it was mind blowing. Had ordered for Lal Maans and was just amazing. chicken tikkas were also good.
The palace is known for its stunning architecture, a blend of Art Deco and Rajput styles. It is one of the world’s largest private residences and has been partially converted into a luxury hotel. The palace also houses the Umaid Bhawan Palace Museum, which showcases the history and heritage of the Jodhpur royal family. This restaurant offers a splendid dining experience, with a focus on Rajasthani and Indian cuisine, often prepared with a contemporary twist. While I don’t have access to real-time menus or specific details about the current offerings, you can expect a wide range of dishes, including local specialties and international cuisine, all served in a luxurious and elegant setting. The food at the Umaid Bhawan Palace is renowned for its quality and presentation, making it a memorable culinary experience for guests
Went to Risala for our first anniversary dinner and the whole experience was fabulous. Left us spellbound. The restaurant is located inside the palace itself and it's recommended to make prior reservation. The place has a quiet ambience with soothing lightning and opera-ish music in the background. The staff is highly courteous and hospitable. The food and drinks menus are splendid as well covering indian and continental cuisines and a large variety of drinks - having some 'palace specialities' as well. A casual mention of the fact that it was our anniversary made them arrange a special cake for us. We were the last people to leave the restaurant so one of the waiters even gave us a tour of the palace - at least of the areas which were open. We absolutely LOVED the overall hospitality, ambience, food, drinks and the whole EXPERIENCE. Risala by Taj is thus HIGHLY recommended.
Risala at Umaid Bhawan Palace has a royal ambience. The food and service was good. Breakfast was simply Superb!
the quality, taste, presentation, and variety of dishes offered. Mention any standout or unique menu items and whether the vegetarian options were satisfying.attentiveness, friendliness, and efficiency of the staff. Were they knowledgeable about the menu
Outdoor restaurant located inside Umaid Bhavan palace. It has Pleasant feeling when it is light breezy and light cold atmosphere. In summer you would not enjoy it.
The best vacation ever. We went ro Celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary planned and gifted by our children. All thanks to North AD Mr. Sumeet Taneja and his team who helped coordinate every thing between our kids living in the US to the team at Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Thank-you Mr. Anan Sharma, Ms. Tanishka, Chef Shobhit Mathur, servers Narendra, Kapil and Jabar. You guys really made it a memorable trip for us for life and giving us the best royal treatment. Will definitely plan a visit soon again with the family and we also checked the property out from hosting a wedding pov.
Our vacation truly was Tajness at its best .
This was our 2nd visit to Umaid Bhawan and the experience keeps getting better and better. We are so lucky to have stayed here again.
From the triumphant entrance welcome; to the beautifully appointed suites; the amazing food and impeccable service (professional, attentive but unobtrusive); we loved the stunning views from our rooms; and vistas across the immaculate gardens to Jodphur beyond.
It was wonderful to see some familiar faces as well as some new ones. We were looked after by the amazing Karan, at breakfast and dinner, who bustled about ensuring we had everything we needed. Chandan made our afternoons at the outdoor pool a joy, bringing a picnic basket of cold drinks and snacks, he even ran back from the kitchen to make sure that our ice cream didn’t melt in the hot sun. Mehardin ensured that we got the best sunset photos of the from of the palace and even managed to tease a peacock into the photos too.
Everyone and everything at this palace is world-class and it’s easy to see why it gets voted Worlds Best Hotel - simply because it is !!
Delicious food and outstanding service
Risala is located within the Umaid Bhawan Palace. Every staff member at the restaurant is welcoming and always wanting to ensure the stay is meeting guest needs. Umaid Bhawan serves high tea daily for guests at Risala. It is a fantastic time to sit with family and enjoy delicious snacks with fresh tea/coffee. When we stayed at the Royal Palace, they served us local delicacies including fritters, scones and bite sized cakes. The presentation of the Thali we ordered was just grand(I do not want to reveal the surprise) and the dessert portion was yummy with several choices.
The staff here are very dedicated and provide impeccable service. Their attention to details simply standout. A big thank you to Boom/Virendra for their warm, personalized and thoughtful service. Very courteous and their recommendations with the food choices won't ever disappoint you. They both attended us at our breakfast and also dinner to serve us very well with many choices of all delicacies, fruit and juices.
Also, a very big thank you to all the chefs at the palace that made our stay very memorable. Everyone that we interacted with was very kind and catered to our unique dietary restrictions.
The main restaurant at The Umaid Bhawan.
Everything from the furniture, center hall plants and flowers, the paintings, ceiling, even the cutlery make you feel like royalty.
But then come the delightfully humble folks to wait you and make you feel totally at home and not overwhelmed.
And yes, you will overeat. So keep space till dessert.
Allow the waiters make their suggestion and dig into the Marwari Thali. I have never had a better Papad curry or Chaas before.
If you have a celebration to go, then will happily make it special.
Wonderful experience.
Very good palacee , olne time visit it
For real fine dining and wining, look no further than the Risala, a palatial restaurant where guests are treated like royalty. Named after the Risala Jodhpur lancers who won victory over the Turks at Haifa in 1918, the restaurant’s walls are lined with portraits of the lancer martyrs and His Royal Highness Umaid Singh.
Nice food with full of flavors.
It was great hospitality by the Taj Umed Bhavan Jodhpur... A property that actually makes you feel I timeless princess... Trophy Bar is a very chilled out bar with actual stuffed and preserved hunted animals... Risala great Indian restaurant where food still served in gold plated crockery...Rajput and Mughal inspired architecture is actually converted from an age old structure...
