I had the pleasure of visiting Cafe Kalimpong, and I must say it quickly became a personal favourite. This charming cafe not only serves the bestest hot chocolate I've ever tasted but also offers a delectable menu that left me craving for more.
The star of the show was undoubtedly their hot chocolate. It was a heavenly concoction of rich, velvety chocolate that warmed both my heart and soul. Each sip was pure bliss, and I couldn't help but indulge in multiple cups during my visit. If you're a hot chocolate lover, this is an absolute must-try.
Aside from their exceptional hot chocolate, the food at Cafe Kalimpong was simply divine. Their menu featured a delightful variety of dishes, ranging from all favourites pizzas and flavourful pastas to mouthwatering desserts. Every plate that was served showcased a harmonious blend of flavours, and I was impressed by the quality of ingredients and the skilful execution of each dish.
Furthermore, the ambiance of the cafe added to the overall experience. It had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal or catching up with friends over a cup of coffee with a view. The attentive and friendly staff further enhanced the dining experience, making me feel right at home.
Cafe Kalimpong is truly a gem in terms of its hot chocolate and delicious food. Whether you're a chocolate enthusiast or a food lover in general, this cafe will exceed your expectations. The combination of their heavenly hot chocolate, scrumptious food, and warm ambiance make it a must-visit destination in Kalimpong.
Location:
Close to the main market, on the road past Elgin Hotel. Next to Paramount School.
Ambience:
Outdoor sitting on a terrace. Large tables with wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.
Service:
Just one lady taking orders and serving, so no attention on the table. She is always sitting at the counter, even when I was the only customer. You have to walk to the counter and place your order.
However, the food was served promptly. Filtered water is available.
Ordered:
* Hot Chocolate: quite nice to taste, thick consistency, marshmallows on top.
* Pork Thukpa: little bland, even salt was less, simple dish but good. However, the pork slices were excellent, crisply fried and tasty.
* Ginger Lemon Honey: nice hot drink, perfect blend of ingredients.
Overall, good cafe with limited items. Good taste but service needs improvement.
I'm not a big fan of burgers but I was blown away by the burgers served in Cafe Kalimpong. It was simply awesome, it was juicy and very delicious. I was sad when I finished the whole thing.....I want to visit the cafe again & again.... If you are in Kalimpong, please do try it out.
Loved their chilli cheese and jhol momos were okay okay. But the whole vibe was awesome and chill. If you're visiting kalimpong, it is a place to soend some decent time in.
Loved the place situated at a quaint area with amazing valley view! Bonus point for having my favourite chamomile tea 🍵
Simply the best ambience and food. I've spent five hours straight here - not kidding! Must try the pork burger and the Vietnamese iced coffee. Their cakes are amazing too. The staff is really kind and it's my go-to place at Kalimpong :)
Very beautiful rooftop cafe with unforgettable views of mountains, a must visit if you want snacks with scenery, very well behaved and polite staff , the service is slow but the views will definitely won't let you realise that ,
One of Kalimpong’s best, within walking distance from town, with good food and great ambience.
Food ( blueberry cheesecake became my favourite), service is good and the place is very good for time spent with amazing views.😍🥰
Though food was not that tasty but ambience was beautiful. Good place for hangout. We had veg pizza, chicken sausage pizza, cappuccino, blueberry crushers, oreo smoothie. Pizza was thin crust and not as expected. We have heard a lot about this cafe, so we expected far better taste at this cafe. Though view was worth.
