Locals eat their scrumptious meals here. They had lunch that had rice, chapati, 2 avails, chicken & mutton curry, meen fry (fish) the Amma and other severs there were kind and sweet. There not only locals but people visiting from Singapore, Malaysia and Japan & European countries that joined us for lunch too! The meal was very tasty, especially the fish!

A small nondescript restaurant with simple, tasty dishes. Only 16 people can be accommodated at a time and it will be a bit crowded during lunchtime. Clean place. Vegetarian lunch is just 70 rupees. Mutton curry is ₹100 and chicken curry ₹70. Food is served on plantain leaves. You have to take the leaves after eating and put it in the waste bin( for the information of non South Indian readers who are not used to this)

The environment looked typically like olden days setup and reminded me of my childhood time. We went for breakfast takeaway there and the food was good too. Idlies were soft and small too so take high numbers if you are planning to buy idlies. Pongal and Poori was good too. Try checking the chutneys they provide we got less packets which was not sufficient you could ask more if needed.

Visited for dinner while staying locally. Very quick and good service. Food was fresh and tasty served on banana leaf. Ambience is that of a village eatery so keep your expectations low. Hit the thumbs-up button if my review helped 🙂. Thanks.

Food was great... Porotta is next level. The chicken and mutton gravy they provide with porotta is very tasty and that itself is enough for it... Price is also very cheap

This is one of the oldest mess in Kanadukathan. Soft idlies, crispy parottas and tasty gravies. Good service by the people there. Slightly over priced for a mess in Kanadukathan, taste will be good though.

It’s very small place, took parcel of piping hot parotta and pepper chicken fry. Things get over by 7:30 Pm, so go before 7. Try egg mass without fail, it’s scrambler egg with onion tomato and their gravy, tastes better than Masala kalakki.

Tasty and typical Chettinad style. One who is looking out for the taste should visit. Don't expect high class service. Simple yet neat place. Carry a water bottle .

Best hotel in Kanadukathan. Nothing we can expect at this place. But this hotel exceeds the expectation. We had our dinner here. Which is the cheapest dinner till date. We paid only Rs 65 for two members. Budget friendly and tastes authentic Karaikudi. We need to wait and eat policy. Since this hotel has only 16 person seating capacity it will be like first come first serve. The atmosphere can be a bit better.

I LOVE authentic South Indian parathas and dosas, and I've eaten a lot... This is genuinely the best I've ever had for both! Really delicious parathas - great texture, nice mix of crisp and soft with lots of layers, and served with really tasty chutneys and sambar. The (paper) dosa was crisp and had a depth of flavour I've never had (a slight zing, presumably from the fermented batter?). The lunch (veg) meal was also really good (earlier the same day!). Friendly, family run restaurant. They happily nipped next door to grab us a bottle of water.
