A popular stop on the highway with a variety of dishes apart from the famous idli. A great variety of chutney.
This time due to heavy rush....the service was delayed. Seems the kitchen needs more hands.
Great pitstop on the trichy highway for a quick bite, lunch and/or coffee. The place is very clean and the staff is extremely attentive. Their chutneys and sambar steal the show but specifically recommend trying their podi idli and karivepillai (Tamil for curry leaf) idli!
We reached here 20:25PM to have some food and refresh our self. Great place for parking and small park for the kids to play around, all good, but the service was too late I think that time they had shortage of people to serve and cook. It took time to take the order(dosa) and to served to our table. Yeah we got tea and coffee very fast.
Toilet was okay okay. Yeah again and again my suggestions to the travelers. We should use it properly so that others can use it after us.
Good ambience, good service. We liked the way the plates were laid out, ready with servings of various chutneys. The items based on orders, be it idli or dosa or any others, freshly prepared and hot, were brought in bulk and served subsequently. Waiters kept bringing items like vada or day's specials, and served only if we wanted. Many people, seeing the item, wished to take, which is a good concept both for customer and for the restaurant.
Friendly staff kept tab on each set of guests, quickly filling in the need for additional items, sambar etc.
Cleanly kept washroom and especially toilets, very large parking area and security staff guiding cars and motorcycles into free slots.
Overall, a very good experience.

Nice location and atmosphere. On the eastern side of the Chennai - Trichy highway. Moderately good taste and neat dining hall. Serving is not up to the mark. It has to be improved. Lot of free parking space available. Rest rooms are separately placed and neatly & hygienic maintained. Prices are a bit on the higher side.
Service is good. Food is also nice. Price of the dishes is high, when compared with quantity.
Very convenient, large car parking is available. Rest rooms are well maintained.
Overall a very good restaurant.
Good ambience. But the service is poor. There were no tissues kept at any table. The restrooms were deceptive- when I entered, it felt good to see a spacious restroom with many stalls, but the flush did not work.
Overall the food was good. And the environment was pleasing. Have spacious car parking and wheelchair entry is available.

I recently visited this place again “Murugan Idli”, a restaurant located on the Chennai to Dindivanam highway, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my experience every time.
The menu at Murugan Idli offers a fantastic variety of South Indian dishes, with a particular focus on idlis. The idlis were soft and fluffy, and the sambar and chutneys that accompanied the dish were flavorful and delicious. The restaurant also serves a range of dosas, vadas, and other South Indian delicacies, which were equally delicious.The restaurant was kid-friendly, and I noticed several families with children enjoying their meals. The staff were patient and attentive to the children's needs, which made the dining experience even more enjoyable.
I would highly recommend Murugan Idli to anyone looking for delicious South Indian food. Usually Murugan Idli shops are good, but this one was not great as others. Staff were running out of items, and not everything wS available. Had been to other Murugan Idli shop and compared to that it was not upto standard. Restrooms & restaurant were clean, but good was not as great. Limited menu was mood dampening. Overall OK, but not great.

Located on Highway near Maduranthagam with ample car parking space. Tasty food items at reasonable price and excellent ambience. Clean wash rooms. Courteous staff.
A really nice restaurant on the highway.they serve 5 varieties of sides for idli or dosa.food was good and filling.there are also sweets and savories.they have a huge parking which is sufficient to park a lot of cars.ghee podi uthappam was highly tasty and calorious...
