A quick dinner from Kandas ended up pretty surprising. I asked for mushroom fried rice as takeout, and I was pretty surprised with this delicious fried rice that I got. They fried mushroom in batter like it was chicken 65 and it was amazing.

Since there are not much options, this hotel is better. Their keerai vada is good. They serve only In leaf.

This place is a go to for working people and for even family people on no cooking day. Their fast moving items are sambar sadham and thayir sadham. Their mushroom biriyani was too good when they were doing it with seeragasamba but now they switched to basmathi. One suggestion is they can switch back
If you are visiting karaikal and looking for a vegetarian restaurant. Without second thoughts you can visit here. Honestly this is the best vegan restaurant in the town . I tried the veg omelette and it tasted like the real omelette. I loved it. I'll recommend this to my friends and family.
Visited Sri Kandas with high expectations from my previous visit in 2022 but the food taste was not the same, very disappointed.

During my stay of 3 days in Karaikal, I really tried almost all the options available like idly, dosa, Pongal, Vada and poori. All tastes excellent. Though I liked Dosa most, all my friends liked poori. Enjoy the food.
One of the best reasonably priced spots in Karaikal. Hygienic and prompt service. Tasty. Mainly south Indian and Chinese dishes. Love their dosas and side dishes. Their mid day meals sumptuous and quantity sufficient for two.
