Once a vibrant hub for road travel enthusiasts, this place holds a rich history of its glory days and the cherished memories of many. Though the current situation may seem disheartening, it's only a temporary phase in the life of this once bustling spot.
A sense of nostalgia fills the air as you walk through the quiet streets, reminiscing about the laughter and excitement that used to echo through the alleys. The aroma of shadi wali coffee, tea, sandwiches, and pav bhaji wafts from the local guy's humble stall, offering a taste of comfort in the midst of the stillness.
While the present may not be as bustling as before, the prospect of a future makeover offers hope and anticipation. Local authorities and concerned individuals are working tirelessly to restore the place to its former glory, and there's a promise that it will shine brighter than ever.
The washrooms, though currently in need of attention, are a reminder of the changes that are yet to come. The makeover plans include renovating these facilities to ensure they are clean, functional, and welcoming to all visitors.
As you inquire about the situation, you discover that this transformation might take some time. But patience is a virtue, and the thought of what this place could become fuels excitement among the locals and visitors alike.
Despite the changes, one thing remains constant: Chawla's, a timeless gem that stands strong amidst the transition. With its delicious delicacies and warm hospitality, it continues to be a beacon of comfort for those who visit.
As you walk away from the place, you can't help but feel a sense of hope and optimism. This temporary setback is merely a stepping stone towards a brighter future. Once the makeover is complete, it's bound to reclaim its status as a bustling hotspot, welcoming road travel enthusiasts from all corners of the world.
So, let's raise a toast to the past, the present, and the future of this place. May its glory be restored, and may it continue to be a cherished destination for generations to come.
Good place to halt and attend to your stomach pangs in case you are traveling towards Chandigarh.
Plenty of car parking space. They won't put sticker on your car's windshield to commemorate your visit. Guards are alert and friendly.
It may not be as crowded as Savoy Green across the road but that doesn't mean it's not worth a try.
You are hit by many choices, Costa Coffee has a wonderful eating arrangement that looks quite cost and inviting. If you like Shakes there is a chill bar run by super chilled out people. For eating you are spoilt for choice, you can select Subway, Ni Hao (Chinese), Paratha Express, Vango (South Indian), Chawla2 (Punjabi cuisine) and Pizza Hut.
It's quite spacious and wheelchair visitors can wheel themselves with ease. Quite a good portion is lit by Sunlight
Good place to have a quiet meal with your family.
For children, they have option of bouncy, remote controled car rides and while we were there, wesaw camel as well.
I rate it four. You won't be disappointed
Really great for hangout with friends and family. The seating management is will mentioned then other barbeque, starters are really delicious and juicy but then servings were late and we have to ask for new iteams again and again they were not providing any new food item on their on ( if somebody goes first time in barbeque house he'll might be disappointed) and the main course i would say was average.
Overall a pleasent experience. Not crowded. Clean. Spacious. Variety of food available. Quality food chains like Haldiram, Vango, Costa Coffee, Pizza Hut etc.. Very clean toilets. Ample parking n open space. If you drive a little ahead of Daana Paani, you can enjoy Vita Milk facility on the same side of the road.
Very nice, clean and a spacious stop over point that comes almost at the end point of Karnak if you are traveling from Delhi towards Ambala. Quite noticeable on the highway and has a well organised and spacious parking lot. Food options are also good, hygenic and reasonable. Popular chain of restaurants have outlets over here. Outside kids play area is also set up. Washrooms are world class and overall a good resting point while long travels.
Set in a large area this is a great place for an evening out with your loved ones.
On the outskirts of Karnal , just close to CHD city this huge indoor food court may be mistaken for a mall at a glance. If you love branded eateries this is the place for you. Although situated on the side of highway I do not feel it is the place for travelers. This is not a 24hr place. Quantity of food and pricing is in tune with the urban population looking for some good time with family and friends. A large courtyard is nice for children to enjoy their free run and few rides are an added bonus.
The design and overall upkeep is good, giving you enough space and opportunities to enjoy your leisure time. You have Haldiram, Subway, Chawla's, Hi Hao, Kathi Junction, Vaango, Costa coffee and Pizza Hut to name a few. Plus Baskin Robins, Chill Bar and Chai Thela are shops dedicated to a theme.
A large area dedicated to parking makes life easy.
Great place to grab a bite on the highway, with spacious parking and open areas. Options include haldiram, subway, Chawla's 2, Costa etc. Clean also.
Nice place with lots of options for food. Very clean and nice ambience. Washrooms are also clean and we'll maintained.
Best place to eat during journey. There is Subway, coffee costa, vaango, Chawlas and many more. Tea at CHAI THELA is amazing
A very lavish food court with brands like Haldirams, Pizza Hut, Costa, Subway etc....very much on the highway and easily approachable
