A nice and cozy place which has excellent food. Great ambience, with fireplace in the middle. It has books that you could also read, while you wait for food.
The food tasted great but also a bit on a expensive side compared to the other local restaurants nearby. Would really recommend it though.
This place is located at Kaza market. Already, you can see the vibe of this place was different than the surroundings. Love the decor and the ambience inside the food was very well done in the options in the menu were plenty. In my opinion, this is the best cafe present in the Kaza market. The prices on the higher side and can be considered a fine dine in the mountains. Definitely a must visit when you visit Kaza.
A cozy and upmarket cafe in Kaza with great interiors. Indoor and outdoor terrace seating is available.
It is located on 1st floor, right in the middle of old Kaza market.
We had tried 3 items from their menu -
1. Pink sauce penne Pasta with vegetables (330 INR) - creamy and good in taste
2. Mushroom & Corn Pizza with added vegetables 11” (600 + 60 INR for extra veggies) - a bit overpriced but it takes 30 minutes to prepare
3. Pan grilled vegetables and cheese sandwich (200 INR) - normal sandwich but filling was tasty
All prices are inclusive of GST.
Cash and UPI is accepted but credit card is not accepted.
There is a guitar and books to read.
You can try other famous cafes like Himalayan Cafe, Sol Cafe.

We visited Cafe piti twice during our stay in kaza. the food, variety and service is very good. the peanut butter smoothie was refreshing. the overall feel of the place is very calming and they even have a balcony to sit and enjoy the view while you eat. its one of the best places in kaza to eat and the quality of food is top notch.
The cafe is beautifully designed and the seating arrangements were really nice. They have indoor seating with a heating stove and outdoor seating with clear mountain views.
I had Jumbo sized Amdo Momo with chicken filling and Tea. The Amdo Momo, I've seen before on tv were not exactly like this, they looked more presentable. The momo tasted fine, nothing extraordinary. The tea was also ok, nothing great.
This place has books that you can read and spend a leisurely time. However, there was one manager or some staff positioned at the counter who was constantly looking, as if the guests were under scrutiny! It was very uncomfortable! I can consider it to be a one off incident!
Overall, my experience was good. You should visit this place because of the nice food, ambiance and the views.
One of the bestest cafes in Spiti. My 5/5 recommendations- Cheesecake and Veg Pizza. The ambience is great.
It’s a gem of Kaza, delicious food and awesome ambiance. Such lovely set up and cool vibes after a long journey. Rikesh was on toes since we entered the cafe and honestly guided us thru the menu. So far had the best Dalle Momos ever. Along with Thupka soup and blueberry cheese cake while reading books from their lovely collection.
Highly recommended and will surely visit again whenever possible.
Thanks Piti cafe for such wonderful experience and wish you the best
I've been to Kaza twice in the last one year and both times have tried out food here. Though to be honest there were changes in the taste during my recent experience than that of last year end.
The staff is good, courteous and helps you with choices from the wide range of options available here.
The interior seating is beautiful and they have small fridge magnets kept as well for purchasing as souvenirs.
Outside seating gives a good view and can be enjoyed in bright sun shine during afternoons.
We tried momos which were good both the times, the peri peri fries just had red pepper rather than actual peri peri spice mix. The cheese cake was ok, and so was the sea buckthorn cake. Veg thenthuk was really delicious and refreshing.
Overall a good place for eating in Kaza although some minor improvements in taste might be helpful.
Discover a Himalayan culinary sojourn at this hidden gem. Indulge in authentic Spiti and Tibetan cuisines amidst picturesque mountain views. Immerse yourself in the ambiance while enjoying books, games, and even a guitar. Don't forget to explore the charming souvenirs, including t-shirts and fridge magnets, to capture the essence of the Himalayas and bring home lasting memories. A delightful experience awaits you in this enchanting mountain retreat.
I recently tried the veg Thukpa at this establishment, and while the taste was okay, I found it lacking in flavor without the addition of sauces. However, I must say that the noodles themselves were quite tasty and well-prepared. It seems that the dish could benefit from some improvement in terms of seasoning and overall flavor balance.
Additionally, it's worth noting that the pricing at this place leans towards the higher side, which might be a consideration for budget-conscious diners. However, despite the slightly higher cost, the scenic ambiance, and the availability of unique cuisines make it a noteworthy dining experience overall.
Cafe Piti at Kaza Spiti Market area is a hidden gem that I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. The food is exceptional, with a focus on authentic regional cuisine. The service is top-notch, and the staff goes above and beyond to ensure a memorable dining experience. The ambience of the restaurant adds to the overall charm. Whether you're a local or a traveler exploring Spiti Valley, a visit to Cafe Piti is well worth it.
