Had lunch with family from The Olive Restaurant, Trivandrum last Saturday (26 May). We sticked to their speciality/signature dishes and ordered lemon coriander soup, jojo kabab, grilled fish, chicken ghee roast along with a variety of parathas (bun, ceylon and coin) and signed off with honey noodles ice cream as dessert. It is very very rare to get all the items that you order to taste good and be excellent. I am a fan of the Mangalorean dish chicken ghee roast which you get in Coast to coast restaurant, Bangalore and this one was closely resembling that. The service was also amazing with everyone taking special care of the guests there. All of us were hungry to the core and never thought we would be posting a review too - hence excuse us for not taking pictures:). The dishes were nominally priced except for the grilled fish owing to it's size. Will definitely go back again. All the very best
The best restaurant in trvandrum. Loved Kuzhi mandhi which is special than the rest we have in other restaurant. Yummy kababs too.. Mouth watering.. A high five and five stars to this restaurant. Definetely a must visit restaurant..
Great food, great service. Tried Bun porotta, Aamis jojo kebab, Special 5 spicy fried rice and Chicken ghee roast. Every dish tasted awesome.
Justified the choice of trying Olive for something different.
Beef Tikka starter was awesome.. so was the Iranian Masala grilled Fish.
Chicken Peshawari was not spicy, but was good in quantity.
Bun Porotta nd Neerdosa proved excellent accompaniment to the dishes.
Coming to the desserts, honey glazed noodles with icecream was an excellent choice.
Kenz Ilaneer dessert tasted different and good, but might not be a good choice for all kinds of food.
Also kudos to the excellent service from the team Olive. All the best and looking forward for the same quality in future also.
The food was awesome and mouth watery... Variety of cuisine can be enjoyed under one roof.

Went for a team dinner. Good food and service. Not heavy on the pocket if you order wisely, avoiding wastage. All the best.

This is the second time I am ordering from this restaurant and I say it's just awesome.The chicken ghee roast was a special taste but the best of them was the bamboo biriyani it is super with more quantity of rice and chicken pieces.The mandi was also superb.Overal superb taste and quality of packing and dishes were also excellent.♥️♥️🔥🔥🔥
we went to olive,kowdiar . The ambience is extraordinary. Food was also very good . Fish grill was extraordinary, quality nd quantity was up to the mark . Bamboo biriyani also super. Ended with mojito which they served in big jars . Totally a wonderful experience
One of the best restaurants in terms of quality food, great cuisine and epic menu, this is not a place to miss. Their Olive specials are a must try. Just see the masala papad below, it's looks and tastes delicious. Their mandi chicken biryani is my favourite.
Great food at affordable price. Starters and non veg main courses were upto the mark. But noodles seems to be little disappointing with the money spent. But their gravies and roties are nice. Must try their fried ice cream and carrot halwa
Overall good food experience. Bun parotta is really nice. Try with kadai paneer. Never order Gobi manchurian. Its not worthy. Overall food is okay

I liked the tandhoori tea. It was good and refreshing. Bun porotta was flaky from outside and fluffy inside. Ghee roast and it makes laila majnu
Their veg manchow soup and veg stuffed parantha is best in the town you should definitely go for that.All other things are also good in taste.
Went to Olive restaurant for the famous tandoori chai.. The tandoori chai tasted awesome and their making of the chai is something you need to see....had a nice visit there..
Ordered the Honey Glazed Lemon Chicken along with Chicken Chilli Garlic Noodles and the Ginger and Capsicum Fried Rice.
The noodles was good and the rice wasn't very impressive but the honey glazed lemon chicken was top notch. Just the right mix of sweet and sour. Recommending this dish for the chinese lovers out there.
Foods that ordered were on time and tasty too, their paratta are special and very soft, but the last time I ordered paratta bucket..Some were over cooked, otherwise good, keep it up!👍
hyderabadi biriyani is superb

I have ordered a full chicken biriyani. Content was not up the mark. But foood is awesome. It taste very nice and fresh. Everything was perfectly cooked
A great place to get stuffed. The ambience is nice & the staffs are friendly. Really loved the Chicken Mandi specifically amongst all other dishes!!
I visited here for several times.. some foods are really awesome and some are quite okay.
For vegetarian peoples, in started crispy fried corn,crispy potato is really good. Pasta is also good (i have tried only white sauce one). Noodles are also good...try pan fried Noodles, if you like fusion of Chinese continental kind...
For non vegetarian, biriyanis are good..special pot biriyani, Hyderabadi biriyani all are good. But as i am a north indian, I don't get the feel. But it is tasty... Enough quantity, chicken pieces are also good. The best non veg starter is Dragon chicken...its worth trying.
Murgh musallam kadai murg tandoori murg all are good.
Only drawback i used to feel every time is the service time is so long compare to other restaurants. Whether it is a rush hour, almost filled up.. then it may took 20-30mins to serve your food.
I have not tried seafoods there, but i heard good things about seafoods preparations of them.

Bun parotta, chicken ghee roast, paneer olive special,amis jojo chicken, kenz elaneer special,tandoori chai......i just loved them all.... A must try spot for foodies.....you will love it.....
Amazing food. We tried pepper chicken, bun paratha and biriyani, it was simply too good... I could see that there were many more interesting options on the menu but could not try due to shortage of time as we were on our way to Airport... Will come back next time to try more...

Went for dinner today (31/7/18) and enjoyed it! The chicken Mandi, tawa paratha and bun porotta were very good. The mandi is different from the regular fare you get in Trivandrum because the chicken is gravy coated, lending a different taste experience. The stand out dishes were the mutton ghee roast and the jojo kebab. Excellent! The taste is still lingering in my mouth! The smoked chicken salad was okay and the soups were average. The one thing that I have to compliment the olives team is the quality of the meat and the way in which it was cooked - both the mutton and the chicken were super tender. For all the items we ordered, the bill came up to ₹1675, which is worth it because the quantity is sumptuous and the quality very good. The place is clean (they have heated plates!yay!) and the ambience is quiet. We got parking easily right in front of the restaurant but I don’t know if it’s because it was only 7pm. (Yeah yeah.. We are really early eaters.. hee) ..
What I have noticed about Trivandrum these days is that we have so many food outlets to choose from that we are spoiled for choice and tend to go to a new place every time. Unfortunately we rarely feel like going back to the same place again because the food or some other factor doesn’t strike the right note with us. But olive is definitely a place we could visit again. Try it at least once, fellow foodies!
This place is very close to where I stay and was our choice for a quiet Sunday lunch.
Easily located on the service road, and ample of parking space.
We went without a reservation and got a table in the outer section, which isn't so bad. Except others waiting right there stare at you while you eat!
The staff is friendly and service is pretty good!
The food is brilliant. Non veg lovers of South India - do visit this place.
The menu is a wide range of variety and you can try whatever you want to!
Just unhappy with the gulab jamuns in the end. Please don't serve those.

Olive is one of the few restaurants in trivandrum that have like 600 + dishes in their menu n the management prides in saying each n everyone of the dish is available . Extremely friendly staff who takes time to explain the dish ( trust me , its a big positive since their are ALOOT of signature dishes ).The food is delicious n value for money . Now to my favourites ,
Aamis jojo kebab- This iranian beauty ( starter) is arguably one of the juiciest kebab ( n spicy too) in trivandrum, must try dish.
Neer dosa or bun parotta with chicken ghee roast , this combination is just pure bliss .
Biriyani- for biriyani lovers out there, olive has 3 different biriyanis ( bamboo biriyani, pot biriyani, Karavali biriyani) n each one is really good , Karavali biriyani deserves a special mention since it has an unique flavour n you will not get a similar biriyani in tvm .
Ilaneer kenz dessert- for me personally, it is mandatory to have this everytime i visit olive ( i will just leave it at that)
Spl mention - they do serve a delicious mandhi too so if u are a mandhi lover then definitely worth trying .
