I have tried special veg thali. The decoration of food nice and looks fresh. But they have to think about the taste of the food.
This place best captures the essence of north indian cuisine in the midst of overwhelming presence of bengali flavours.
The quality to price ratio is especially higher when you compare it with other pricier options like PFC.
There is just the issue of space crunch in busy hours. Food and service is better than most options in IIT Kharagpur at this price point.

Being a North indian, I never liked outdoor food in IIT kharagpur, but always demanded something that could be as good as Punjabi/Delhi food. Visiting Pind Smart was a relief for me. With no degradation in quality, the outlet compells you to visit again.

Food is good. Ambience is too loud for me. Try to get in early otherwise u can get some stale food(two occasions)
Hariyali Tikka Kabab was awesome. I would also recommend cream of mushroom soup in starters. If you visit this place in a large group try the party packs of Smart Pind Chicken or Dilruba Chicken (8 pieces each for 600 rupees approx). Stuffed Naan or Kulcha goes quite well with the mildly spicy gravy. Treats for 8-10 people easily manageable under 4500-5000 rupees here.
The place which offers Best North Indian food in kgp.. It may seem a bit costly, but it's full value for money.
They have less seating space. So orders may get late during weekends. Plan accordingly.

Food is actually good here. You have to write your own order on paper, which is good. I cannot say, that food is very expensive here, but it's fine. For Ex. One Special Thali with roti, dal, rice, panner, mix veg, raita, papad and gulab jamun will cost you Rs. 179 which is fine. You can definitely check this place out.
