This was the first time me trying authentic kerala cuisine. And oh boy!!! It blew my mind.😍😍😍 I hate coconut but ordered coconut rice and loved it till the last grain. The fish masala was great with appams.the best of the food i have had yet in kochi
This was one of the most recommended places in the Fort Kochi area. So decided to give it a try. Typical Kerala cuisine restaurant this is , good decor and ambience.
Tried the following items :-
Chicken Kerala Curry - 10/10 - I absolutely loved it. The flavours were on point. Coconut based curry with Kerala spices. Loved it. It tasted heavenly with Appams. Do try it!
Creole Banana Fritters - 9/10 - Local speciality this is. Fried Banana with a sweet coating served with honey. Loved this one too.
A quaint restaurant where I had the best Sea food in Fort Kochi. We ordered Grandma's spicy Meen Polichadhu, Prawn Moily, Meen Mango Curry, Appam, rice and fresh lime soda. They served us pumpkin soup for an appetizer which was too good. We loved the food there and it was worth every penny. A must-try in Fort Kochi for all!
Food-5/5
Ambience-5/5
Service-4/5
We ordered Beef curry accompanied by the Kerala thali and Prawns in Green mango curry. The food was delicious and the ambience was beautiful. The service was equally pleasant however it could have been a little fast but otherwise this is a must visit if you're in Fort Kochi.
Very good. Food tasted well. One advise here they take orders in the beginning. We wasted food as we ordered and later couldn't have it as we were full. So they should take one order and a take and then ask customer for their next order
Good food but there is a bit bad communication. When we asked our fish grilled they told us its just grilled nothing added thats why we ordered but when it arrived there was souce on it which we didnt want and like.
Loved the salad, best salad so far.
Little cute place tucked away in a corner of this street that leads you to the Fort Kochi Beach.
The ambience is warm, & nice. The food was fresh & tasty but the biggest problem was the mosquitos!!! Below the table, they are me half up. So if you go there, be prepared to Slater yourself with lots of Mosquito Repellent!
Ordered beef olarthu, fish varuthar, fresh lime soda. The food is very good to taste. The staff is polite and friendly. One meal contains a variety of items and each one taste equally good. The ambience is okay.
This is a small place at fort kochi but serves the best cuisine. All dishes in the menu are freshly prepared and hence the serving takes some time.
Had ordered mushroom meal and Jewish pepper chicken.
This place is known for seafood.
Fusion Bay is a cozy place with unbelieveable food! Highly recommend their Syrian Christian meals. The sea food is really fresh and sumptuous
Prawns semi dry preparation was really awesome 😋,been with my friends really enjoyed the food and ambience, innovative taughts of lights with cane baskets on walls and entrance gives you a warm welcome with many greens
Cosy simple design restaurant with excellent local food. We went twice and could still go back. The Syrian Christian meals are amazing and super tasty deal!
This is very famous place for all the tourists coming to kochi
We also planned to venture this place and we were amazed to have dinner here
The place is full all the time, advisable to reach early in the evening.
Ordered coconut rice which was yummy 😋
Lovely food which represents a fusion of different cuisines. Even the Kerala specialities are well represented.
The meal with definitely leave you satisfied.
I'd recommend the mango fish curry, the chuttulli meen and the beef ulathiyathu.
PS: this is a small place with a decent waiting period for the table and the food. But I can tell you the wait is well worth it.
My fiance introduced me to this amazing restaurant. I tried their Beef Oolthadu meal and the beef was so tender and spicy. We also tried the mushroom set meal and the vegetarian fare was equally mouth watering.
Good seafood but service is bit late. Need to show patience if you want good fish!
They claimed we start preparing only after we get order. So need patience.
I went to this place , when i needed something to eat for dinner and my hostel was near the santa Cruz church, Fort kochi. I went to this place after reading the good reviews in google. I went there by walk around 8:30 pm hoping i should get the place to stay and i should be back to my hostel before 10 pm by walk. The walk was good , it is on the main road. The food is really tasty i ordered the keral famous banana leaf fish called as pollichattu ,i tried corriander pollichattu, kerala prawn fry, Appam and lime soda. Fish and prawn were really tasty, kerala were too good. The rate are little expensive my total bill was around 1300/- , but it was worth the taste of the food. I felt good because this was my kerala food restaurant ,i don't have any other reference to compare to. Overall I would recommend it. totally. The Restaurant is a small area, am not sure if they have any other floors.
It's a pretty, laid-back place to relax within, in the middle of a weekday with delicious, authentic Kerala cuisine. Although the portion ratio to price is slightly lesser than desired, the restaurant more than makes up for it with it's unforgettable, delectable flavors.
We had shrimp fritters as a starter, meen mango curry, coriander pollichatu with the Kerala and Coconut rice. For desert we had the panna cotta.
All in all, this restaurant is an instant boost to your mood!
This place is a real gem in Kochi.. Every bitof time spent is worth.
This place is right in the centre of Fort Kochi. Very easy to find.
Without wasting much lines, I ll come straight to the point that is Food. We had ordered Fish Polichattu, Appam, Grandma's Chicken Curry and man trust me all the dishes were cooked to perfection. It was at par not only in terms of taste but also in terms of aroma, quality, quantity.
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone n everyone visiting glorious Fort Kochi
Visited Fusion Bay for lunch being a seafood lover. Restaurant didn’t let down our expectations. Fish was fresh and delicious too. Neat spice level. Must try considering the ambience too....
This is one of the most exciting places I got to visit during my stay in Kochi. What amazing ambience. Totally loved it. This place serves the best seafood you can dream of. Lipsmackingly amazing! When in Kochi do visit this place.
I just ate here today, and it totally satisfied my cravings for delicious food! The owner knew we were in a rush to catch a local kathakali show, and he accommodated us wonderfully by making sure we received our food quickly, and the food was still full of flavor. My favorite dishes were the Kerala Chicken Curry, Coconut Fry Prawns, and Fish Molly. We also loved the soft appam with crisp edges, and banana fritters with ice cream for dessert. The service was polite and professional, and the restaurant looked clean. We'll be sure to be back! Thank you for being our first meal on our Kochi trip!
Good coastal and local food here. We quite liked the flavors and spices in the food. The ambience is simple and service is good. Loved the appam and puttu - very authentic and well-made.
Best crabs I ever ate in my life
Best thing about restaurant very chilled placed you can spend time for hours
It is at central place of Kochi
All hotels are only few meters away from restaurant
Definitely go for crabs highly recommend
We came to this restaurant after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed at all. The seafood menu is extensive, and the food is prepared very well. We tried the kerala preparation of shrimp and crab. Both were fresh and tasty. The mango coconut gravy was very unique. The prices are also totally worth it. I will recommend it highly for non vegetarians, but very limited choice for veg.
Must try for fish lovers to relish the authentic taste of kerela spices. Their basic fish curry is prepared with whole lot of kerela spices and the addition of tamarind balances the heat of spice. Best to be eaten with appam. One of their very spicy dishes is the grandmas fish pollichatu which is super spicy and a must try for spice lovers
Nice .. Recommend to Others
Superb sea food! Amazing location ,fresh sea food , authentic taste in their home style menu!! Do try for the best food and a great experience!!!
spinach dhal was very delicious
Its in fort kochi area.. hustling and bustling with eateries all around.
The staff was very polite and helpful.
I had one of the best seafood experiences here.
The pollichathu is not to be missed!
Right next to the basilica, in Fort Kochi, this place proved to host the best meal of our trip! We ordered a prawn masala and a fish with masala cooked in banana leaves and Appam. The slight sweetness of the appam cut through the spice of the dish just perfectly. It was quite spicy but we couldn’t stop eating it. A must stop for a great meal!
food is heavenly.. will definitely order from here again.. everything is perfect
We reached this place around 4pm but kitchen was still open and ready to serve. Decent place and good restaurant. Chicken was just superb. Loved the food here.
Nice cozy restaurant. Yummy food. Had fish masala pochutillta ...it was good. But 🌟 of the lunch was meen mango curry prawns.. yummiest curry ever had . Please do visit if in Kochi.
Whether you're looking for seafood made Syrian-Catholic style, or with a twist of Dutch or French ingredients, Fusion bay is the best!
You can't go wrong ordering anything, but would recommend the crab!
Lovely seafood. We are from Sri Lanka where seafood is in abundance. But we still found a really nice Kerala touch with each dish. We tried Prawns Moily and Kerala Crab curry with coconut rice and puttu. we were happy with each of the dishes.
I have never fallen in love with fish.. it was just heavenly.. the Kerala food was yumm.. very pleasant and homely place.. Fresh masala fish pollichithu is a must try!! Might be a bit spicy..
The place to indulge into seafood. The place serves unique dishes and all of them are exquisite in their own taste. The fascinating thing is that one would find more foreigners than the locals here. A must try for the fish lovers. We ordered a Tuna dish and one special fish (don't the the name 😅) and a chicken dish. The meat is really tender and has a good mix of spices. The beverages though, are not that great but the seafood (especially the fish section) is a must try.
Food: Excellent! So good in fact, that we went 3 nights in a row. Of the things we tried, our favourites were - Grandma's Chicken Curry with White Rice (unique flavour), Fish Pappas & Mappas with Kerala Rice and Roast Chicken with Porotas.
Service: Excellent again! Despite the rush, they always managed to seat us quickly, were very courteous, knowledgeable about the food and flavours and served us with a smile on their faces. They even gave us a complimentary portion of pumpkin soup (probably overheard us debating whether to order it or not)
Ambience: Casual dining, warm ambient lighting, some chatter and comfortable chairs.
Go here. You will not regret it!
Loads of sea food delicacies. Loved the traditional ambiance and heart felt service.Chicken roast, Kerala yellow fish curry meal & appam were my personal favourites. Moderately spiced home cooked food...just delicious.
Defying the odds - second choice against another high-rated restaurant and a 20min patience-testing wait time, we were ushered in by the polite manager. Looks unassuming from outside, nor overwhelmingly garish from interiors either(like other European restros in Kochi), seemingly its a house-turned-into-restro. Plagued with prejudices, yet confident of Zomato ratings, we played along with their simple interiors, slightly confusedly scurrying staff and very specifically enlisted menu items. True to their name, it's truly a fusion of Euro-Syrian-Keralite palates. Might take time to figure what to order as simple (similar) descriptions don't give away much of their recipies, so hit n try, the staff couldn't suggest much to us. Guess an option for buffet/assortment might appeal to many like us! The food is beyond doubt superlative, with sumptuous servings for average appetite. Grandma's Appams are the best so far. Missed their litany of prawn-items, but could see satiated faces on other tables. Good for bigger group, but pre-book or go timely! Gunjan Caur
Kerala Diaries : Food in Kerala is to die for esp for non vegetarians. Stopped at Fusion Bay in Fort Kochi for lunch before catching our flight back to Mumbai. And what food!!
Must Have:
Coriander fish Pollichathu: marinated fish cooked with fresh coriander and kerala spices in a banana leaf
Meen mango curry : fish in green mango curry n coconut milk
Kerala fried prawns
Price: totally worth it
Verdict : food to die for!
Good succulent food as shown by the waiting list since 8pm. A wide variety of fresh catch is on the menu accompanied by the brilliant ginger lemon soda and a happy courteous staff who do their best to ensure prompt service at every step.
Happened to walk in to this restaurant by luck and I'm happy we decided to go there. Food here is simply divine. Everything that we ordered were really good. I guess most people order the seafood mini meals but we decided to try out something other than that and ordered coriander meen pollichathu, grandams chicken curry, ghee rice and seafood pasta.. all the three dishes were simply amazing and we wiped the plates clean.
Compared to few of the other famous restaurants in fort kochi you may not have heard so much about this place but it's definitely a must go to one.
Fusion bay is ideal for travelers to experience seafood. Though I'm not a fan of seafood, I relished the experience at Fusion Bay during my trip to Kochi. Delicacies are served in a homely setup. Enjoyed the meen curry. Starters and the main course was equally good. Would love to visit again.
Nice food but they took quite some time to serve the food but generally good for those who come for a one day trip to cover most places in kochi because its right in the middle of tourist destinations.
I think Fusion Bay has the best fish mango curry (meen manga curry) I have tasted in Cochin so far! Their grandma’s chicken curry is splendid too. Great staff, will help you interpret the menu. Quantity: one fish mango curry is just about enough for two people if you are eating it with appam. Rice eaters, get two curries, it won’t be enough otherwise
Small joint, but neat decor. Awesome fish pollichathu (Grandma's special), well worth the price. It's been a long time we visited and I don't have exact recollection of the dishes we ordered. We tried their vegetarian stuff also and some pasta too (kids favourite). And I definitely remember every dish making a positive impression and a very happy meal! The place is a bit laid back and the staff needs to be more attentive to guests. Overall, a little gem in the Fort Kochi bastions which is worth a repeat...
Nice ambiance with the lighting and decor. Cozy setting. Quick service.Friendly staff.
Food was very tasty.
Must visit if you are in Fort Kochi.
Quite a decent place ... Kerala Food prepared tasted authentic while the presentation was interesting..in mud bowl.. service has scope to improve... Is certainly worth a try...
Rich in spices and truly Authentic . All tables were full when we visited for dinner. Staff had good knowledge about the menu and explained the dishes very well.
Fantastic food. We went here two nights in a row and got a variety of veg and non-veg dishes, and they were all superb. The beef masala and the Syrian beef curry were both delicious. Great way to experience Keralan food with a twist.
Fusion bay showed me an flavor of Kerala which me been an mallu was not aware of. Had been here for dinner, tried prawns Kerala fry, fish porichath , appam and prawns green mango curry. The prawns were quite big and fresh. The prawns Kerala fry was spicy and preparation was excellent with pieces of coconut and onions. Pepper fish porichath was ok as I didn't like the masala much but was something very different from the usual and very interesting. The appam and prawns green mango curry was the perfect main course. Will surely recommend this place to all.
Not giving 5 as the raw tomatoes served along with fish porichath tasted of raw fish.
I went to Fusion Bay for Sunday Lunch. We ordered Grandma's chicken curry and Fish Pappas which was very spicy. I fell in love with the Kerela Christian cuisine. Service was quick. Value for money.
Prawns Green Mango Curry - 9.5/10
Aubergine Veg Curry - 8/10
Coconut Rice - 9.5/10
Prawns Green Mango Curry - this was the best prawn curry I have had so far. The creamy coconut milk gravy with the layers of Kerala spices topped with grated Mango just creates the explosion of cravingness for more around the Prawn subject. A Must Have from me at this place.
The Aubergine (brinjal) curry is deliciously integrated with the local spices. Though not out of the world but definitely something you should not miss with local cuisine. The diced vegetable around the thick gravy is not the usual South Indian curry. Do not miss this if you are a vegetarian.
The Coconut rice is amazingly yummy. The over garnished curry leaves with Tadka with just right salt makes me drool even now. Must have.
Food - 9.5/10
Ambience - 7.5/10
Staff - 8/10
Washroom - 7.5/10
This is a very popular place around fort Kochi specializing in sea food. Small, compact place with a wide range of sea food and other authentic Kerala dishes. Service is a bit slow as there was only one person serving all tables. I liked their aapam with the Kerala style mushroom gravy. Some of my friends had the signature fish dish which was incredibly spicy. It would be a real treat for seafood lovers.
My goodness what food! Had probably the best Korimeen Polichattu (spice treated fish wrapped in banana leaf and grilled/ steamed....no kidding!) ever in my life! In general all food veg or non veg is good and justice is done to everything on the menu. The staff is professional and know their stuff. Quaint lil place with modest appearance but a must try for Mallu food!!
Went out looking for authentic seafood places in Fort Kochi, after a cliched brunch at a cafe no different than ones in Bangalore( Cocoa Tree and Loafers Corner Cafe, truly beautiful places, no doubt). Found this one and went for a late lunch, fingers crossed. And couldn't have been more satisfied. Homely place, with a simple yet comfortable ambiance and a friendly, well mannered service staff, on their toes to take down orders. The food came perfectly in time, with almost all of it making it together even for a group of 13 people ordering at once. And now for the food:
One of the most beautifully authentic tasting food of any kind of cuisine I have had in a while. I wanted to try something you wouldn't get on other menus, so went for a Prawns Raw Mango Curry. Best decision of my life. A mild yet delicious flavored dish, with perfectly cooked prawns of a good size, accompanied by the local Kerala rice(would recommend this, rather than the Basmati rice) ordered separately , it made for a perfect combination. The curry was was split with another friend and yet the quantity was satisfying for a person with a normal appetite. Of course, I eat enough for two people so I had to go with another dish. This would be the Fish Pappas(spicy), as the menu says. And true to its name, this was a fiery hot curry served along with either Appam or Kerala Rice. Too continue in the same boat, I chose to go with the rice. And yet again, my mind was blown apart by the sheer beauty of this dish. After the mild yet tasteful Prawns Raw Mango Curry, the Pappas was an explosion of spice and flavors. The fish was just so gently marinated while the curry gave most of the taste. Again, split this one with another friend and yet was a good quantity left for me.
Total Bill came up to Rs. 420 for me.
All the other dishes looked equally enticing, but I couldn't take my taste buds off the ones I ordered. A mild and slightly sour curry followed by a fiery hot one was the best combination I could ask for. I would recommend this combination to anyone with a GOOD appetite and ready to experiment with your tongue ;) Never gave a review before by going onto Zomato, but this place deserves every word of praise that I can offer. Will go here every time I am in or around Fort Kochi.
Third time back to Fusion Bay and still haven't made much of a dint in the extensive menu full of fascinating seafood dishes (as well as meat, chicken and vegetarian). Benny's passion is to preserve traditional Kerala recipes from Syrian Christian Homely meals to fusions from historical Dutch, Portuguese and Jewish influences. Our favorites have been the Pollichathu style (fish with marsalas of spices cooked in a banana leaf) and the curries especially the Mappas but also the Moilee and Green Mango Curries. The fish has been wonderful but having the generously sized and juicy prawns tonight, they are hard to beat. Breads, rice and drinks are well priced and I love their spongey tangy appams to soak up the gravies. Today we asked if Benny would do a Prawns in Mango Moilee that we'd seen elsewhere which he very kindly did! Most dishes are an incredibly reasonable 350-450 Rs ($7-9 AUS). I think we have run out of time to try the Chuttullimeen - shallots roasted and sautéed in pepper and coconut then stuffed in a fish which is cooked in a banana leaf served with rice and aubergine salsa $10AUS
The food is exceptional and if you find yourself in fort Kochi then make the time to have a meal here. Didn't go through the menu but I asked the waiter for a dry spicy prawn, a fish curry, a dry chicken roast and a chicken curry, with rice and appams...each dish was excellent! Hope to make it back soon!
This a very popular restaurant In Kochi with Karala Seafood and Fusion Food Their Fusion Food is very good Dutch Fish in Banana leaf is very tasty and the stir Fried dutch celery prawns
If you want have fresh and good seafood go to this restaurant . They are serving very good seafood with mouth watering taste try some of their fish pollichathu and prawns kerala fried with coconut
Well this was sugvested by my friend. We walked in with a lot of hesitation but we ordered veg food only it was wow. Mushroom curry was amazing along with veg stew . Then coconut rice was just wow. Dont give a miss to this.

Apparently the only sea food restaurant available for late lunch.. the boys there were very courteous and the wait was 20 mins-- nd finally it all came.... the whole next 30 minutes was an orgasmic experience with sea food. Aapam and squid pepper fry, a serve of crab roast and prawn batter fried... all of this finished with a mango juice-- and that's a new experience trying to drink the natural pulp of mango.
Brilliant boys-- will come back for sure
Delicious! In particular the aubergine yogurt was a delight. The service was excellent as well. Have the waiter recommend you according to your taste.
I came here alone. Took a lot of time to be noticed and served. The pumpkin soup however was a delight and I was impressed with it! The chicken curry was on the bone, I actually forgot to ask! It tasted lovely but I couldn't manage it so I took a takeaway.
There were fans but no AC and it was hot.The prices are very reasonable for this restaurant. It was a little noisy and not much of a relaxing ambience.
I would recommend however.
We went to this mid range dining restaurant on 23 Nov 2023 for lunch. We had reached by 1435 hrs and there was waiting period of about 20 min. Restaurant is located on ground floor and separate parking is not available. Ambience wise place is ok with simple vintage decor (8/10). It has adequate seating and can accommodate 30 people, and does appear slightly congested (7/10). Restaurant Staff is courteous, polite and well behaved, and was very helpful and cooperative despite some language barrier (9/10). Menu includes multiple cuisines which consists of both traditional kerala cuisines and portugese fusion cuisines (9/10). Service was prompt and My orders arrived hot and in reasonable amount of time. (9/10). We tried paneer pollichatu, fish mango curry, appam and lassi which were prepared well and were mouth watering tasty. (9/10). Quantity wise they were filling for two - three persons.(8/10). washroom is located on first floor separately in a domestic style but is well maintained, clean and hygienic. All payment options were available. Overall a very good experience (8/10). Would love to visit again.
All the food we tried was delicious so we even repeat a couple of nights! Fish mango curry was special and we loved as well the Grandma Pollichattu (very spicy but soo good) and the squid. Very good price for the quality you get. Definitely a must try if you are in Kochi!
This place is a 10/10. My favorite meal I’ve had in India so far on my travels. The food comes out timely and is delicious/packed with flavor! Our waiter Rahul was so kind and helpful with suggestions based on our preferences.
We got Kerala Prawns and spicy squid to start. Prawns were light and yummy. The squid was out of this world, had a little kick, but my friend who doesn’t like spicy also enjoyed. Have never tasted any flavors quite like it, would recommend!
Main course we both got banana leaf wrapped fish, mine was a spicy red sauce, my friends was the green pepper sauce. This paired perfect with the lemon rice. Would definitely recommend getting this dish. It’s unique, juicy, flavorful, and goes well with rice and bread.
We super loved this restaurant, best meal of our trip so far, made very clear why Kerala is famous for seafood. Grandma fish pollichathu (red snapper) was so so delicious, squid fry was some of the best squid I've ever had, Kerala fry prawns had me trying to figure out what was in the masala so I could make it back in England. Service, drinks, atmosphere, and location were all also excellent.
Food Choice 9/10
Taste 9/10
Price 7/10
Service 8/10
The food is good and have a great choice of local food. The only thing that they don't serve is Parotha.
Since the food is prepared fresh, it takes 15 to 20 mins on an avg for them to bring your order. Also pl check the instructions because sometimes their international card machines are down.
Price is on a higher side frankly but they served good quality
Fusion Bay in Kochi Fort offers an exquisite taste of local cuisine with standout dishes like:
Sardine and makaral
Cauliflower fritter
Fish and prawn moilee with appam
Banana fried with ice cream
The service is attentive, enhancing the dining experience.
A great decoration that mixs a fishing culture with the Indian local culture. Green patio and fresh environment.
Must try the moilee. Delicious
This could easily be a 4 star review. But it's not. The place is targeted towards tourists and atleast 30% more expensive than it should be. But if you're looking for some delicious food. This place hits the spot. The butter grilled praws are 500rs for 5, which is crazy, but very tasty. The pepper fish pollichathu was incredible, I mean I'd come back just for these two dishes.
Good service, nice people just making a living of tourists and good food.
Great place to have wide variety of food. The only issue we had was a cold chapati on the table. Rest all top class.
Ambience , food, service pricing, portions all perfect. Highly recomend their kerala coconut cream fish curry .
Decent variety of sea food items
I had mango fish curry and rice which was super delicious
Place is quite cosy with good ambience
They have a bunch of cooking and food related books too
I would visit it again
Just one word..Fantastic! Really delicious food! All the food were so fresh and tasty and mouthwatering. We ordered the neymeen fry , fish mango curry and the kerela prawns roast with some Matta rice! The neymeen was adipoli! All the food were infact delicious! Must must try for all visiting fort kochi if u want to try authentic kerela foods😄.
I went to try out their seafood chattichoru. It is a more budget friendly alternative to many of the nearby restaurants which offer Seafood platter for approx 1500+
The seafood chatti choru consisted of 7 seafood varieties - fish curry, mathi (sardine) fish fry, natholi (anchovy)fish fry, crab curry, squid fry, mussels fry, meen peera. The quantity is sufficient for 1 person.
I also ordered a pot of lemon tea, which they said was sufficient for 2 people. However after 3 cups of tea, the pot was only half empty (or half full, whichever way you prefer to see it 😄).
The service was also prompt and staff were friendly.
The ambience with the wall decorations and lighting was great too. During my visit Boney M songs were playing in the background which added to the laid-back seaside restaurant vibe.
A small place which goes out big on taste. The appams were a delight and have lots of curry options to be enjoyed with.

A good place for sea food lovers . A very rustic environment. Food is very homely. The prawns fry is to die for .
Great place if you like authentic south indian food with a slight western touch.
Loved the fish soup here, it was creamy and well cooked. Had it twice.
Also the Prawns in green sauce was tasty, different.
And Prawns Moilee with appam, it was the best dinner I had in Kerala in my last visit.. and i have been to many places here..
Tried the Kerala Style Chicken Curry. It had amazing flavours. The Chicken was very tender and flavorful. The Fish Fry (Mahi Mahi) was very soft and filled with flavours. Wonderful place
The food was quick and delicious! They were even happy to serve us outside of regular meal times, which was helpful. We really enjoyed the fish mango curry, even though we wish we had gone for the “spicy” option over the “medium” option. The grandma’s chicken curry was lovely too and had a gorgeous texture.
Small, sweet place right next to the famous Santa Cruz Church in Fort Kochi! Targeted at foreigners, they've got it right- 8 out of 10 people there will invariably be foreigners. Food is prepared accordingly, and kept low on spices. However, food comes across as comforting and satisfying. You should be able to find a parking spot if you move around a little here or there. Cuisine is mostly Kerala/ Continental and the menu is limited. No fuss, no frills. Not too costly and service is friendly.
Perfect. The meal I got was delicious! I ordered the shrimp cream sauce penne pasta and I was not at all disappointed- on the contrary, I wanted to order another simply for being so delicious! I also got sparkling lemon soda and paid under $12 Canadian dollars. (700 indian rupees)
Highly recommended dish! Place was busy and lots of people enjoying dinner on a Friday night around 9:30. Bravo! Well done.
Update: so I came the next day and got “grandmas chicken curry”. It was tasty, rich and was thoroughly enjoyed.
I also had the cauliflower starters— those were a no go for me. Flat, bready, and lacked spice. The cauliflower tasted steamed once bitten into, not fried.
Everything else was tasty!
