Fantastic vibe, great coffee, friendly service and fabulous people-watching! Can't wait to go back!
Ambience. Bliss. Flat white. Unwind.
I loved it.........................................
They have an amazing collection of books and DVDs related to arts.
Initially checked out Pepper House for its 400 year old architecture, but it's menu is engaging as well. The preparation time is okay and the food is fresh and delicious. There is a library attached with some really cool collections, some of those books are rare. In all, it's a place with a unique vibe and good food.
I had a lunch in Pepper House. The place is very cozy and has a beautiful garden. I had ravioli, hummus sandwich, brownie and a cold coffee. Everything was delicious! Service is quick and staff are very friendly and courteous!
Must visit⤵️
Visited this place while I was here on a project. And trust me it was really worth visiting here. I had cold coffee, which was average in taste and had blueberry cheesecake which was superb. The portion was less and prices were high.
The ambiance is totally mesmerizing. The moment you enter this place you will forget everything. The artwork you're seeing here belongs to Praneet Soi, a well-known artist. Pepper house does provide their space for art exhibitions and many films have been shot here. So, yes it is possible that you may find something interesting here. They do have an in house library and their collection on art is commendable. Plus they have a souvenir shop also. I had a good time here.
One of the best cafes in Fort Kochi!
I love the place ,ambience and food.
Tried the Kombucha drink and it was so goood!
Kombucha drink is a fermented green tea drink served chilled and this drink is home brewed too so must try for all the green tea lovers !
This cafe has the greenest ambience. We made a quick stop here for a drink while visiting the biennale.Passion lemonade was damn good.Just what I needed for a sunny day .Brownie was amazing.
I loved the cakes here!! The lemon iced tea was perfect. Not too sweet like it is in most places. Comfortable service and lovely ambience. I'll certainly visit often.
The iconic George-Celine cafe from Premam is a cute place with a library and an art cafe. We ordered carrot cake, hot chocolate and brownie with ice cream which was all good for brunch.
We have had only breakfast from here and my oh my What a breakfast it was!!!
.
1.Avocado Pesto Sandwich
2.Spinach Mushroom Sandwich
3.Cheese Omelette Sandwich
4.Ice Lemon Tea, Carrot n Vanilla Cake
5.And of course "Chaaya" #tea
6. End Result ➡️ A happy us!!!
.
An almost perfect breakfast from @pepperhousekochi
Is this breakfast better than our malabar puttu-egg roast or neypathil-meat curry ?? No!!! But will i have this everyday ? Maybe! 🤤 .
About the ambience, if you have seen the Movie Premam, this is nivin pauly's cafe'. The location is perfect for a get together or for friends who wants to chill out. They have a library and a clothing store along with places where artists can showcase their works. All in all the place is a must visit for the ambience and especially for the food.
I would definitely visit here again the next time I'm in fort kochi to taste their lunch n dinner.

Good food, great ambience and books. What's not to love?
Pepper House Cafe, one of the most talked about cafes is also a venue for the biennale. So I walk in with my friend, terribly famished. We start with drinks. A passion fruit ice tea, and a lemon soda. Paired it with a very creamy ravioli stuffed with cheese and spinach. Yummy!
Looking forward to taste testing much much more.
Sandwiches are great. Brownies are okay, tea tastes good. Ambience and surroundings are really pretty, but when I went most of the things on the menu were out of stock.
How do I get to see your menu ? Haven't been able to find it online we're gonna be in Kochi soon and would like to visit the cafe. It'd be great if you can share the menu
The cafe became really popular after they shoot some scenes of Premam💕 here. The ambience and service is really good but the food lacked the 'WOW' Factor. We had pesto pasta, mint lime cooler and iced tea, which was all really good and the price was moderately set. One thing that I HAVE to mention is that there are very else vegetarian options here.
Thanks to Hartals, they ran out of Gas, and we couldnt enjoy the pepper house big breakfast ! Maybe next time. Cake were amazing. Ambience is really gud, rustic approach
If you are a book worm looking for a quite place close to nature, pepper house cafe is the place for you. They have a huge library and refine section as well as a cafe. We ordered a vegetarian Aglio Olio and a ravioli. The food didn’t disappoint. Overall a great experience.
In short, nice food and great ambience. I had Chicken Ravioli with Mushroom Crème and a Cold Coffee. It was the first time I ever had Ravioli and I liked it very much. Cold coffee was just good.
The "thing" about this place is it's calm and cosy environment. The place is very quiet and suitable for a chit-chat with good food.
Recommended.
A place with absolutely amazing ambience. You can just sit here and read some books in peace. They have a library too ! A menu decently priced and staff friendly features make it a really nice place to visit when you are in fort kochi.
French Express
(Black Coffee- made in French Express machine. The coffee is strong enough to make your day cool and happy. It’s always a good to start a day with a coffee)

A perfect place to sip on coffee, read a book and spend hours enjoying the wind and peace.
The chicken ravioli in mushroom créme was really good
And the passion fruit lemonade was just on spot!:)

We discovered Pepper House Cafe as part of our trip to the Kochi Art Festival. This is another beautiful space in the courtyard of an old home changed into a museum. The food takes a while to come to the table but is flavourful and filling. The ice teas are saccharine sweet and the overall ambience is peaceful and relaxing - perfect for long chats and slow meals!
This place is at walkable distance from fort Kochi beach and it is the cafe from the Premam movie.
It has a beautiful ambiance. Outdoor wooden seatings facing a pretty huge lawn/garden.
We had been here for dessert. Their brownie with icecream, though expensive for the quantity served, was simply amazing.
Pepper House Is A Trendy Cafe Near Kochi's Famous Seagull Hotel ..... The Ambience Is Good .... The Cafe Includes A Library And A Deli For Art Exhibits Besides Food .... The Only Reason I Didnt Give A 5 Star Rating Was Of The Expensive Menu ... The Cafe Is Preferring White Collar Clients .... So Not For All .... Besides That The Place Is A Vibe ... Great Food ... Great Ambience ....
If I wanna tell something about this place, I would say Yes! Who ever missed out to try out this spot, yes it is a must try!!
Omg, I just loved this cafe. Beautiful ambiance and you ll get all that peace of mind over here since it has got a very calm kinda atmosphere!
Service wise, really good. Delivered on time!
About the food we ordered: Tried Tagliatelle with mushroom and parmesan which was soooooo yum!! Then also tried the passion fruit cooler which was so refreshing. Definitely I will be coming again and will try out the non veggie items! Can't wait to eat !! 😋
Loved it !! ❤️
Been here when I was at the bienalle. It's a very cozy place to chill and have a talk. It's also apt if you are visiting alone. The people are really friendly and approachable. The coffee and walnut cake was good from the menu.
Good food, yummy :) Good ambience, good service...
Very beautiful cafe, a must visit. Amazing location. Would recommend this place for sure...
Amazing food, good service, love the Ambience!!!! You will never get bored of this place.... A must visit if one is going to Fort Kochi......
Great ambience. Great view. Silent place. After the renovation, everything has changed. 😇 The ocean view in back is just love. And this place also has a library attached. Peace out.
Normal food, normal service. The place has a pretty good library and a wonderful collection of books, and the ambience is quite good though seating capacity is kind of limited.
A lovely cafe among the many in Fort Kochi. It is ideal for those who would like to sit outdoors for some fresh air, as there is a beautiful dining space next to their pretty and well maintained garden. Simple wooden benches do make it difficult to lounge for long hours, but you will surely enjoy the time that you do spend there. The menu is limited, however, whatever they have on board is good. You need to pay at the counter to place your order. Taking photos at the premises is limited to only mobile photography. There is a library at the place, and a store selling all kinds of artsy things, from clothes, to jewellery, and stationary. However, this store is outrageously expensive for certain things.
Finally made it to the famous "Cafe Agape" .. the lovely Pepper House!! Loved it... smiling and warm people at the counter, fresh ambience and a nice line up on the menu...we didn't have much as we had a heavy breakfast just before but the lemonade and brownie were a good choice for quick bites! Will definitely come back for more on my next trip to Kochi!
The first time I had visited when this place was when it was still under construction. That me, my mom and brother had decided that we will be back to this place next year (which technically never happened). Couple of years later we saw this place in the famous movie "Premam". At first we didn't recognize this place where. After seeing the graffiti which was in the backyard we were able to recognize this place. This year we finally had the chance to go there and it was worth the wait. This place turned out to be a beauty. We ordered iced lemon tea, iced coffee, hot cocoa and open toast with grilled chicken and spinach pesto. This place also has a great collection of books. And if you have luck you will also get the chance to see artist working there. I would love to come here again.
So impressed by the food this place has to offer. I ordered a beetroot hummus grilled vegetable sandwich, mint lemonade and an apple crumble with ice cream. Everything was made to perfection. The ambience makes it even better, loved the garden and the high ceilings. There is a little store as you enter the property with lovely clothing. Overall a great experience.
If you have seen the Malayalam movie Premam then you have to visit this place as that movie was shot here. It's quiet, serene and beautiful. Ambience perfect for a date or with your friends. We ordered Brownie Shake and Salted Caramel Sundae - both of which were delicious. Banana cake was little on the sweeter side but that part we can let go. Management was co-operative. A must visit if you are in Cochin.
Pepper house is a gem , such a beautiful place to spend time .
Since I was in a rush , could only spend a little bit time here , ordered Apple crumbs with Ice cream , it was real good .
Pepper house has charmed me with its ambience and I will definitely come back 😀
Even if you sit at this place just having a tea will make your day, that's the specialty of their ambiance.
As a person who loves Kerala's traditional architecture, this is my favorite place to hangout in Fort Kochi. I don't wanna explain more about this amazing place, just go there an find out yourself guys, you won't be disappointed.
This place was certainly the find of our stay in Fort Cochin. Tucked away unpretentiously The Pepper House offered a quiet getaway from the tourist hustle strip. Although the menu offered a limited fare, whatever we ordered was served with a smile and had the mark of gourmet dining.
Tucked into a beautiful corner of fort Kochi, Pepper house remains a cafe that offers soulful food and is soothing to the eyes too.
The ambiance and the view from this place is unparalleled.
All major art expos in the city finds it's way to this cafe ! Pepper house is true Bliss !
Went there after hearing some grand reviews about there most popular dish, "chicken ravioli with mushroom creme". Delicious is the word. Also had spicy grilled chicken, caremelized onion, sautéed mushrooms. Will give 5/5 for the ambience. A small Cafe with limited space.
My whole visit to Kochi was highlighted because if this place. I badly wanted to come here after watching Premam. The food was not I concentrated much, but this is really an awesome place for one to stay calm and chill out. It is one of the best themed cafes. The cappuccino which I tried here was good, overall it's worth a try
This is a feel good place. You get everything ranging from salads to appam and stew here. The passion fruit iced tea is a must try. The green iced tea with honey is their highlight. The place is just beautifully done. The ambience gets 30/10. They also have a library. They always have works of various artists at display all the time. If you're at fort Kochi, pepper house is a must try. It's a beautiful property right next to seagull hotel.
Quaint cafe with cosy and peaceful ambience. The food was excellent and tempting, couldn't stop myself from trying a couple more desserts. They organize art exhibition and sometime. It's a bit heavy on the pocket, but worth the visit.
PS The book nerds will love this place, they have a library of assorted books in various languages.
Based on the recommendations from friends I visited this place. Out of so many memories fort kochi gave ,visit to pepper house was 1 special one indeed. The best part about this place is it's ambience more than the food (which is equally great) This place brings a blend of traditional authentic place with a fresh exotic touch and at the same time makes it feel cosy for the internationals and out state tourists. The wooden seating , food, view to the sea , cafe, the library all together it's a warm welcome to anyone who visits Kochi.
This is the BEST BROWNIE WITH ICE CREAM in the World 😁
I have eaten brownie ice cream from most of the places I travel to this is the very best..
So fresh like it was baked when I placed the ordered and served immediately before even the ice cream got a chance to melt just a lil..
I really miss this and if u r in the area this is a must try!!!!!!!
11/10 :D
Went to this cafe after the fame it got from Premam movie. Nice ambience and a very calm atmosphere. The menu is very limited and overrated!
The famous place where Premam was shot!! Beautiful ambience! Awesome place to chill and have something nice!! The menu is very constricted though!
Amazing pastas and great ambience. Very calming and relaxing place to eat. The staff was really nice. They even gave us an extra piece of garlic bread.
A great place to hangout. Please be sure to try out the brownie if you are here. A lot happens here during the Kochi muziris Biennale. They have cycles that you can use to ride around Kochi.
After having a heavy unsatisfied brunch, I badly wanted to have a desert and that's wen I visited this cafe. Its a cute place right on the sea shore with limited seating. I just ordered a brownie with ice cream. This was the best i have ever had. It was worth the price. They also have a designer store and library. Definitely will visit again!
Visited this place after hearing so much about it..
Food - we had the French suzzette which was delicious and had enough sweetness to it.
We also had some lemonade and ice tea which tasted good.
We had the salted caramel sundae and it was just too sweet dint have enough salt to balance it out.
Staff - friendly
Rates - reasonable
Located in the heart of fort kochi this cute liṭṭe cafe has hands down am amazing view and is the right place for a quite time either with yourself or with good company.
The lush greenery and yummy food is sure to refresh you. Count yourself lucky if it rains while you are at the cafe.
Visited pepper house only for dessert. Had the salted caramel sundae and brownie with ice cream. Both tasted really good.
very nice place with simple decor. Its got a very homely feel to it. Its a place with a simple menu, where you can sit with a book and enjoy the calmness.
We ordered Omelette and cold coffee, both were very good.
I recommend this place for quiet conversations and breakfast.
Its a small cafe with a great ambience, adjusant library and a handcarfts shop. The perfect is set amazingly bringing the perfect kochi.
Food was good. We ordered a meatballs fettucine pasta and chicken ravioli.. ravioli was splendid. The pasta was cooked to perfection and meatballs were very tender and soft. But the price is little bit high for the portion of the food.
Self service but the staffs are well behaved and neat.
We actually discovered this place when we were going around to see the art exhibited here and were not a bit disappointed. The food and beverages are absolutely fresh and the whole experience of relaxing in their serene courtyard is unmissable.
Pepper house is the kind of cafe that you would expect in a place like fortkochi, the ambience is the best thing about here. Wooden tables and benches on the corridor looking out to the grass laid courtyard. A library along with the cafe is what makes this place unique.
Food - firstly the menu was small, there ain't much to choose from.
Taste - although not the best, yeah it serves decent food.
Service - The staff can be nicer and better.
Good ambience is the only thing i love here. Average food and service. just not worth money you pay. Hope they can improve it and I will come back again, because I love this place.
By the time we reached there it was already closed. So we could check only the artisans shop over there( bought a few items from there ) , even the library was closed . But once my sis-in- law succeeded in convincing them that we were coming from a very far place( which is true) , they agreed to open and serve us some desserts. We ordered some brownies with Icecream and ginger lime soda. The brownies were the yummiest, I had ever tasted in India. But the ginger soda was too gingery in flavour , no one could finish it, I think. This place has became famous after some scenes of a malayalam movie Premam were shot here. Its a beautiful old Portuguese style building with a courtyard.
Spend some time for yourself. I suggest not to go in groups and kill the peace of this place. Set up in a refurbished Dutch housing overlooking the shipyard. Sitting there over a coffee on a quite evening with the sound of small boats and random ship sirens add to it a library like no other. Priceless. Must visit. You can have any food there which need not be reviewed.
Need Some personal Space for Yourself
Explore The Power Within Urself

Please visit this place
Love for premam is forever
A lovely idyllic setting.Great place to drop in for breakfast or brunch.Small cozy place.Limited menu but suitable for light diners. They have a small gift shop as well ,which has some good hand made products.
Pretty good place to go for some peace and quite, away from the main town of Cochin.
The ambience is great, for some good time with your self, or with your friends.
Run by guys from Cocoa tree, the place has decent food.
The man there told me that there was a new menu coming up. Would love to visit again after the addition.
Fresh mint lemonade is a must try. Chilled and rich with mint leaves. Options are limited, precise and economical. Ambience is nice. Very friendly staff. Overall a very good experience.
Liked this small place at Kochi. Try out their brownie with ice cream as you sit beside the green lawn and enjoy the kochi air.
The staff is pretty friendly and is keen to make you comfy.
The place has peaceful ambience and pleasant greenery. We ordered pasta with basil, tomatoes and olive oil and brownie with ice cream for dessert. The pasta was a little dry and definitely lacked adequate amount of sauce. The dessert was decent and lived up to the expectations. I would want to visit this place again just for the ambience.
Great Place to check out in Fort Kochi..embedded with scenic beauty., resting on antique touches and mysterious calmness..a set for many Mtown movie makes.,Pepper House also offers wide range of yumminess..Bombay Sandwich and Iced Coffee were my try outs ..
Pepper house's small area has been made into a cafe. Its a decent sitting space. With a beautiful shop and an amazing library for art lovers. You might find a few artists working or a few pieces installed if you are there near the bienalle.
The menu is short and sweet, u might want to try their pastas, they win the show.
Its the kind of place u go for some lone time maybe to work or research on your next work while eating or drinking something.
It closes at six, so its definitely not a place for a night meal. Though the kind of area they have, they can make it into a beautiful evening cafe too.
All in all, its a calm place with good food and drinks and a perfect workable environment.
Nice place to have a coffee with loved ones... Greenery attract attention much. And the seating arrangements are quite appreciable. God's own country!
A good continental spread. Their hot chocolate is amongst the best I've had. Perfect for a nice, sinful brunch complete with eggs, toast and bacon!
You might not think it as a joint when you see it but they serve some pretty good food. I have visited it one time and my experiance was not too bad. I remember these guys were the of the venues for biennale- the art exhibition which was just awesome
One of the best places to go to for just the ambience. The food isn't bad but I keep getting a feeling that I've had better before. But is not just all about food, they've a library and a store as well, along with a few kittens. Come for the desserts, stay for the aesthetic.
Here you can rest and have excellent coffee, cakes, tea or breakfast. The coffee was brilliant and so were the snacks and the sandwiches but it was the laid back atmosphere and sheer ease that made it so welcome and it such great value for money.Such a quiet and peaceful cafe.
Lovely cafe with a great setting! Love that you can get breakfast things all day. Great variety on the menu, a definite place to hit in fort kochi!
Great food served in an impeccable setting of beautiful ambience. It is a typical Fort Kochi restaurant - charming and pricey. Beside being a foodie, I'm a bibliophile too. So I would give extra points for their library.
Pepper House is that idyllic setting which is reminiscent of something non-mundane and unrealistic. Situated on the side of a lake this is an old warehouse turned into an uber cafe with some decent menu to boast about. Fortunately it is also the venue of Kochin Biennale so one could enjoy nature, lake, art and good food together from one place. We usually visit Pepper House when we've to write or read something. They offer us free wifi and an open air space to sit. The staff is cordial to whites and indifferent to Malayalis which is a typical attitude of Kochin restaurants and shops. But their breakfast menu of various omelettes and breads is amazing. Their fluffy spinach and mushroom omelette along with Vanilla shake is a delicious combo. They also offer various pots of tea. Water has to be asked if you are a Malayali but for lucky foreigners it is served without even asking. They also provide an assortment of lunch dishes with fish curries. In the evenings one could enjoy the tea and carrot cake from here. Pepper House also houses an important collection of books, videos and audios on modern and contemporary art. This collection or travelling library/installation envisaged by Bose Krishnamachari now is permanently located in Pepper House. The good thing about Kerala cafes and restaurants is that unlike Northern Metros one could afford good and healthy food without paying much. Pepper House is an example of this.
This is the restrnt in the movie Premam under the name Cafe Agape. Should visit the place for calm atmosphere. We get to spend time with the nature and enjoy the meal.
Having wished to explore Pepper House and its cafe on numerous occasions before the biennale, I finally got the opportunity during the event. The place is a stunning example of vernacular architecture, radiating a heritage building vibe. The central green courtyard enhances its allure, and the structures are impeccably preserved, showcasing historical significance.
Opting for a sandwich and coffee, the experience was somewhat mixed. The coffee, despite the prior hype, was only average, and the sandwich, though satisfactory, didn't quite live up to high expectations.
What adds depth to the visit is the historical context. The fact that the cafe and Pepper House were closed during my earlier attempts before the biennale, only to be explored now, made the visit more intriguing. Pepper House stands as a historical structure, contributing to the cultural richness of Fort Kochi. While the culinary experience may not be extraordinary, the ambiance, coupled with its historical relevance, makes Pepper House a notable stop during the biennale or whenever you want to immerse yourself in the cultural heritage of Fort Kochi.
Luxury and romantic one this property has a lot to offer!
I really like their meals. Visited twice and impressed with their set-up.
Great view and location.
This place took my breath away. I am eternally fascinating by heritage structures and especially those that are in perfect working conditions. You can see the ideas of the past and get a glimpse into the artist/architect/designer's minds. Makes it an ideal location to host part of the Biennale.
They also have an excellent, consciously curated shop that sells some lovely brands and goodies with great stories from across the country.
I visited Pepper House last weekend as part of visiting the Biennale.
It was quite picturesque. The lawn was well maintained and I liked the view from the first floor towards the entrance.
It was quite hot and my sister, brother-in-law and their friends had tea, etc. Overall, it has a nice atmosphere.
It's a beautiful old premise with great views of the waterside, cafe and some galleries. We visited it as part of the Binnealle. There is no library as mentioned in earlier reviews. The lawn is very beautiful and well maintained. This premise was used for shooting a popular Nivin Pauly movie called 'Premam'. The cafe has very limited items and is a tad bit expensive. They have options in coffee but don't serve tea(a little disappointed). They have an art shop on the ground level near the entrance(again pricey).
This is a place where you discover art in its different form. It's a really artistic place to visit in Kochi Port side whenever you are in KOCHI. The coffee shop serves some good coffees from Araku and has their interesting food menu with Mexican influenced food.
Artists from other states and countries visit here once in 2 or 3yrs if I'm not wrong to attend the biggest art fare in Kochi "The Biennale".
Had got some pictures of an artist making a live sketch of a photographer. It was really unexpected and i was flabbergasted after seeing the sketch.
Originally a warehouse for spices, this two-storey building is now a cultural space that houses a courtyard cafe, a visual arts library, a gallery, studios for artist residencies, and event spaces.
Located in Calvetti, south of the Calvetti Juma Masjid and north of the Boat Jetty, Pepper House was originally a warehouse for spices, that has now been converted into a cultural center and coffee shop. The building consists of two historic dockside warehouses with Dutch style clay roofs. The warehouses are separated by a large courtyard which would have once been used for storing goods waiting to be loaded onto ships in the harbour. This two-storied building constructed out of wood, laterite, and lime is a typical example of the design and architecture of traditional warehouses in Kochi. The structure depicts the system of functioning of a traditional warehouse. The warehouse stretches with the Vembanad Lake on the eastern side and the road to the market on the western side. Pepper house has a rectangular open-space or a courtyard in the middle which is surrounded by structures. A tall and wide wooden door on the eastern side of the structure opens to the Vembanad lake, where the Periyar river meets the Arabian Sea. When Pepper House fulfilled the role of a warehouse, boats carrying raw yields of spices from different parts of Kerala sailed through the Periyar, and parked near the warehouse, after which the goods from these boats were unloaded into the warehouse. The goods were then taken into big halls in the building, where they were sorted and processed. On being processed, the goods were kept in the courtyard to dry, after which the goods were stored in sacks as finished products, ready to be traded. The wooden door on the western side of the structure opens to the road which leads to Kochi Spice-Market . Ever since the 14th century, when the progress of trade relations led to the evolution of Kochi as a major port, warehouses and godowns like Pepper House mushroomed at Calvetti, remnants of which are still noticeably around in Calvetti. It was the shift in the market that led to Calvetti losing its prominence, due to which most of the warehouses and godowns around Calvetti fell into disuse. Today, Pepper House is a privately owned cultural centre cum coffee shop, and is used as one of the main venues of Kochi-Muziris Biennale. Kochi Biennale Foundation, the organisers of the Biennale use this space for international art-residency projects as well. It houses a contemporary visual art reference library, which is free and open to all.
Afterall the it's all Welcoming spaces that foster a sense of community and encourage public interest in art. Must visit.
9.6/10
A lovely little cafe with friendly staff and quick service. Great coffees and snacks - I especially recommend the iced cafe latte on a hot day. The pesto sandwich bread was perfectly toasted and a delight to taste. The cortado was balanced, not too bitter and delicious.
Don't miss this place when in Kochi
Beautiful, clean, immaculately presented store with high quality items. Professionally run by a nice chap from Alleppey. A shame the cafe was not open when I went but it looked lovely.
It's a best place to chill.
They provide good foods and drinks.
Good ambience and landscape.
Well maintained garden.
Best shop in fort kochi to spent time.
They have exhibitions for the artists.
I just loved the place.
Pepper House is an absolute gem in Fort Kochi! This beautifully restored heritage building boasts a stunning sea-facing ambience and is a popular venue for art exhibitions and events. The cafe and boutique inside offer a great selection of food, drinks, and souvenirs. The green grounds are a perfect spot for small outdoor events and talks. Make sure to bring your camera because the photo opportunities are endless. Highly recommend a visit to this must-see tourist spot in Kochi!
The Pepper House is an amazing little cafe/restaurant that captures the best of Indian cuisine and western food. The vibe relaxed, the air breezy off the water and cool and the people running it lovely. It is probably the best coffee I had in India... Fort Kochi sometimes feels over touristy - this place is an escape... loved it!!!
Perhaps the most characterful venue for the Kochi Biennale. Didn't think there was as much there as in previous editions but Archana Hande's My Kottige (Bhooth Stana) was outstanding in its perspective.
Love the ambience, the red walls juxtaposed against the green lawns, the creepers covering the wall of the cafe, little windows through which you can catch a glimpse of the sea. The shop has all things artsy (a window shopper's dream, though they don't seem to like it much if you only window shop!). The Sister Library when it ran here was a lovely space, but it is unfortunately closed now.
Old world charm is evident and and the central courtyard is beautiful. building requires further maintenance and upkeeping.
Old warehouse, location for Cochin Binnale and also a cafe.
Cafe ambiance is good, food and service mediocre.
Pepper house is one of the main venue of Kochi Biennale 2023. Open to public from 10 am onwards...
Very good ambience and landscape.... Heritage building maintained in a good way...
The view through the openings is just awesome.. Which opens to the sea and greenery.... Lot of good photo frames....
