Amazing food. Went here with a few friends. We ordered charcoal fish on the recommendation from restaurant staff. The fish was tender and tasty. We tried crab and squid in curry and both the dishes tasted excellent. The green mint sauce goes very well with the food. They offer a pineapple juice refreshment complimentary which is nice as well. Try with typical south indian breads like parottas and the rice bread and they go very well with the food.

This place was recommended by my driver on my visit to cochin! As i really wnted to have some good seafood though i imagined a place on beachside , however this is located in the market area.. but amazing place!
I am not a hardcore non-vegetarian but yeah i eat sea food and this place was specially famous for seafood they dont have other south indian delicacies or other nonveg food items like chicken etc
I was taken to live fish counter and being beginner i asked them to choose for me.. and it was a bony fish! White snapper in tandoor grilled masala flavour! I was amazing! I had to take out the bones which is basically cartillage very small tiny transparent pieces resembling comb bristles. But i finished it all! Just squeezed some xtra lemon juice on top of it and loads of green chilli!
My nxt order was prawns biryani! It was again a complete 5 star rated food from my side! May b the portion was sufficient for two but i finished it all alone! It was served with mixed raita and pickle! It had such a nice flavour of onions tomatoes aromatic spices and prawns!! I just loved the flavour.

Nawras is easily one of the better places for seafood in Kochi. I'm not really a seafood person but I was won over by the meal we had there a few weeks ago. The restaurant has a nice space with elegant decor. We were greeted warmly and served a Welcome drink. For Starters, we ordered the Prawns Butter Pepper Garlic and as for the Mains, Fish Moilee and Chemmeen Ularthu along with Butter Naan and Porotta breads. Both Prawns dishes were pretty good with interesting flavours. The Fish Moilee was excellent and so were the accompanying breads, the Porotta, warm and flaky and the Naan, buttery and soft. Service was prompt and efficient throughout our meal. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely worth the visit!
Good ambience and food. However the zomato gold is valid only for starters and soup. Not for other dishes. So I had to pay the full amount of the bill. I hope such exceptions are mentioned in the app so we are well informed. If i knew about this rule I would not have dined in this restaurant.

We Wanted to explore more of the local keralite cuisine during our Kerala trip and this family restaurant turned out to be great.
We were served complimentary welcome drinks(watermelon juice) which is rare gesture and worth appreciating.
The famous Fish Moilee and prawn porichattu gravies tasted great and were of top quality,both with coconut base and mildly spicy.
The Appams with the above gravies were a bit sour for our liking than the usual sweet,or probably that is how they always make it.
This place is a must-visit for all the sea-food lovers.

So,went to Nawras finally.And they justified the great rating and opinions I've been hearing abou them.Though,quite on the expensive side you feel you have received your money's worth.The interiors are well done with staff being very polite and helpful.When choosing a charcoal grilled starter you get to choose the fish and they have assigned a separate area for the purpose which is aesthetically a good call.We had a red snapper done using Saudi masala and it was delicious! ❤️

Had a very bad Zomato gold experience....being a seafood restaurant I was shocked to hear that zomato gold doesn’t cover up for seafood... only poultry was available on zomato gold... and the attitude towards the zomato gold customer was rude too... will never visit this restaurant until they change their attitude...

My favourite for a long time was Honey glazed prawns and butter garlic prawns.It's a seafood feast in here. You could certainly enjoy eating here as it serves variety of salads, appetizers and juices. I always go for the strawberry cheese salad or greek salad along with barbecued chicken garlic steak followed by a pineapple juice but I would recommend anything on the menu here

As I'm new to Kochi, I got this place, refered by one of my friends. As he said, the food is really tasty and delicious. I really loved the concept of choosing your own fish for your meal. I visited this place near the closing time and the staff were generous and courteous enough to accommodate us. The concept is great ,you choose the fish and they make it for you whichever way you want it. It's a great experience and the food tastes really good as well. The interiors and decor are amazing. Nawras is known for serving sea food. The place is patronised by many and the same endorses of the popularity of the restaurant. The restaurant is spacious and well kpet. There are few different rooms inside the premises where customers are made to occupy the tables.
Fishes in different shapes and sizes are on display in the glass freezer and one can order the same according to menu. Fish Curry meals with many verities of veg curries is priced at Rs. 249/- is worth for the money. Fish finger was fresh and awesome in taste.
Any seafood restaurant can survive if they manage to serve fresh catches from sea and undoubtedly Nawras stands on top of the list when it comes to mastering in seafood treat. Go for it.
It's a treat for your taste buds. Signature dishes are better. U get to pick a fish of your choice and get it grilled. Pay by the weight of the first .
When your taste buds feel like they had an exhilarating experience , you realise that the pocket feels the pain. It's a little high on the price. I mean who charges like RS 2 per gram of fish. I ended up paying 1 Grand for the first I was suggested.

Husband and I walked in around 9.30 were promptly taken to the area where there was an array of fish, we took our pick and left the marinade to the captain.
We were seated in a large grandeur hall with chandelier and all, felt so royal
In a few minutes we were served two pipping hot cream of seafood soups with a grape juice each till our fish arrived.
Then came the jubiliation of seeing a beautiful playe with grilled fish on it, which was very efficiebtly cut and served with rotis and salad. The fish was about 600grams. Half a fish, a soup and two grape juices later, i was so full I could not move.
The service is extremely good the staff is well traijed amd very cordial.
Its a must visit place if u r in the vicinity.
