The food was good. Portion size also good. But the one thing that literally hits the face when walked into the restaurant is the smell. And this is for me personally, because I have a very sensitive nose. It did get better where we were seated. The food was brought in without much delay, even as we ordered second portions halfway into the meal, there was not much delay. Easy to get the attention of the staff if needed. A lot of variety for non veg eaters.
We went to a lunch party here. The place is far away from the hustle of the city. It's around 4 km from infopark.
If you are a meat enthusiast, this is a must try place.
We ordered around 6 different varieties of meat.
Rabbit, Chicken, Duck, Beef, Fish, and Clams (kakka irachi).
And I have to say this all items were really good.
The place has ample space for parking. The seating and ambiance is not top class, but hey you are not here for that. 😉
The price is reasonable and you get a good amount of portions.
So all foodies who are planning to visit here, some suggestions- Poratta and Kappa are ok. Rabbit meat has lots of tiny bones. So if you are an admirer of boneless meat, this is not your cup of tea.
A great place to try nadan food items. Taste of homely made food. Good experience to have budget food at calm atmosphere. Don’t forget to try their sea food varieties and Biriyani 😍
Tasty food and reasonable pricing. Most of the techies from Infopark choose this place for team lunch and will be crowded during lunch time. Advance booking is adviced if you are planning to go as a group👌👌
Everything was good. Food, location, cost everything was nice and I loved it more and cost of the food was correctly priced and food tasted very well and nice place to spend also
I visited almost 3 times. Here you Will get nice shapp food items.my favourites are pork and rabbit. Ambience is poor and not that much hygienic.
If you have a constraint on treat budget, this is the place for you nearby Infopark!!
Visited here for couple of times for friends treats. They have quite space to accommodate crowd of 10 to 17 ppl. We have tried almost all non veg items on menu and everything is fine expect beef dry fry. BDF is overcooked most of the times!! Price is reasonable and wait period is also less.
Recommends for treat and casual non veg lunch outs!!
Service: 3.5
Taste: 3.5
Ambiance: 3.5
Visited this place for a team out and the experience was soo good. Liked this place and their food. If you like to have some nadan food this place is a must visit. Their duck is delicious also other nadan items, also they serve rabbit in there.
A good restaurant that a family can go to and have a scrumptious lunch from. I would suggest this place to anyone who wishes to have kerala meals with a variety of the shappu style curries and fried items. This place offers a variety of items at a fairly reasonable price and quantity. The food is flavorsome and is on the spicy side which makes it a good place for any spice lover to enjoy a good meal. With the private cabins available at the restaurant, you can have ur food at peace without being disturbed by anyone. Has good parking facility as well. Overall a fine place for a heavy lunch!
Tried vegetarian thali. Was superb. Good quality and taste. Friends ordered fish and chicken biryani. Service was great. Parking was ample. Time taken to serve food was quite less. Place is quite hygienic. The waiter was not able to speak other language than. Malayalam however that was not an issue. Overall good and pleasant experience..restaurant location is amidst lot of greenery.
Been here to savour the toddy shop food , what this place is known for.
Cuisine of this region has strong taste of Malabar tamarind(kudampuli). And so it would only be fair to expect the same of food at this place too, fish in particular. They serve authentic kerala style food, full of flavours.
Considering this was "kallu shop food", I expected the food to be really hot, but looks like they have toned down the heat a bit to cater to family-style restaurant needs.
We ordered a little of everything from the variety of food they offered. Right from rabbit, clams and fish to prawn, squid and duck roast and "sadhya". Definitely easy in pockets. The portion sizes were small, ambience was mediocre, food was normal.
Overall, a different experience!
One of the best restaurants where you can typical Kerala dishes with reasonable rates and wide variety of options...very tasty and delicious food more like what you get in toddy shops...amble parking space
This place is easy to find, its en-route Kakanad to Muvattupuzha via Wonder-La amusement park. There used to be a toddy shop adjacent to this hotel, but due to recent government order, its been shut down. Food tasted great, not too much oil(Expect the food to be spicy). Service is commendable & the price is ok (250 enough for 2).
Meals was good especially the veg curries along with meals but beef fry has to improve a lot, kareemen was little less salt but rabbit nd Kada fry was good
All non-veg lovers must visit this place...wide variety of dishes...also is very economical and tasty... duck curry and fish curry is awesome...The place is crowded with people at peak time. Overall its good..
Visited many times here and most of the time for team lunch.I like their meals-fish curry,appam-Nadan kozhy curry/chemeen roast and kappa biriyani.Do visit here for good nadan food items.Friendly service and homely feel. The main thing is you will get almost all the nadan dishes here.
Such great value, prompt service, and tasty food as well! We ordered the prawn curry and butter chicken, along with some fresh juices. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through Kochi.
Take a ride to Kadambra Restaurant you will love it and try their Naddan Duck curry (tell you what it's worth the ride).
We settled in for the meals with beef fry and duck curry. Meals was good enough, beef fry was okay and the duck curry was damn man. It was good honestly very good.
This is a normal restaurant serving a good variety of Naddan food. Feel homesick take a ride and settle with the food.
Kadambra restaurant on the way to Wonderla is a must visit restaurant in the outskirts of Ernakulam. The have a whole lotta Kerala traditional dishes ranging from fish to chicken, beef, mutton, crab, rabbit, duck and lot more. The Kappa and duck curry I have tasted was super homely feel. They have sufficient parking space in the hotel area. Ideal for group, friends... the prices are reasonable.
The must visit restaurant ( kallu shaapu) for all non veg lovers.
Been there more than 10times as my office is nearby.
Love their wide variety of dishes.
Chicken mutton beef kooduthal duck rabbit neymeen karimeen kallumakkay ... U get everything there.. with great taste.
The food is cheap there price for 1 lunch meal is just 70.
I see lot of families and IT guys coming there . Place is crowded in the peak hours.
We would like to say this is a hidden gem at Kochi. The food is great with right amount of spice. Really 'shap' curries or the toddy shop curries as you would expect. The fish was so good we had to order more of it. The service was good as the ambience also which you can expect from a medium level eatery. Would suggest the chipped plates may be replaced.
Nice place for Team lunch. Had been here so many times. Have been here for lunch. Veg meals and Fish curry meals both are good.
►Bottom Line
Kadambra is located on the outskirts of Kakkanad and its just less than 5 minutes drive from Wonder La. Its one of the sought out destinations in Kochi that offers traditional Kerala Food. It also figures in the list of top 10 toddy shops in Kochi. I had been here only once during my final year in college and that too had to bunk a day from college. In adjacent to the family restuartant There is a toddy shop that offers fresh toddy. Its a perfect place for throwing parties, celebrating special moments and also to add a dash of fun to life.
►Menu :
The Menu offers an impressive list of Traditional and Mouth Watering Kerala dishes. They have got many variants under beef like Beef Roast, Beef Fry, Chilly Beef and Beef Dry Fry. Apart from the traditional dishes They offer Biriyanees of 5 variants (Veg/Chicken/Beef/Fish/Egg), Different variants of Soup, A good collection of tastier dishes under Prawns, A tastier handpicked dishes under Chicken A handful collection of Evening Snacks like Cutlets of 4 variants (Veg/Beef/Chicken/Finger), Fish Fingers, Onion Pakoda etc, and other premier Nadan Dishes made from Squid,Crab and Rabbit etc and their list goes on....
►Ambiance & Decor :
The place is clean and well maintained. The ambiance is good and its just like a normal restuarant.. Its feels so good and gives you a cozy feeling to dine here with friends. They have got family cabins too.
►Service:
Service is quick, prompt and with a smile. Staffs are attentive and youthful. Staffs in the toddy shop are very friendly and vibrant.
►Food & Signature Dishes :
I have tried many of their dishes. To new a few the combinations of Appam & Beef roast was really good. Beef roast was really scrumptious and its spicy.Apart from this I have tried their Prawns Roast, Shell Fry, Kada Chicken Fry , Chicken Roast and all were equally nice. The. Fish curry was so good and delicious and its piquancy is perfect and thus makes a perfect combination to have them with Kappa ( Tapioca). I have also tried their Karimeen Policathu & Karimeen Fry and it was really delicious and was perfectly blended with spices. Both these variants are slightly expensive than their other dishes and its one of the recommendable dishes out here.
In addition to these mouth watering Kerala Dishes. They offer you fresh toddy in the adjacent toddy shop. Toddies are available in 2 variants both in Coconut and Palm. Both were equally priced at 60 per bottle and it was 2 years back and I am not sure of the present price.
►Cost :
Cost is reasonable and it is similar to a normal restaurants really worth for what you pay.
►My Final Verdict:
I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to indulge in a range of mouth watering treats of traditional Kerala style Nadan Food. "The real taste never ends"......
I have been to this place a dozen times but even am shocked i never wrote a review for this restaurant. Situated at the outskirts of kochi on the way to Wonderla this restaurant was a toddy shop earlier but now a family restaurant. But the food taste, the quantity is just the same as u get in any good toddy shop. The variety of non vegetarian options from sea foods to beef roast is just lip smacking. The ambience is just like any other small restaurant, not very plush, just simple seatings but yes they do have family cabins, so if you want to avoid the normal crowd you can always opt for the family cabin. Jump starting to the food, its a great place for meat lovers, must try are the chemeen roast, beef roast, kada fry n rabbit roast. The biryani is not that great here. I can say just an above average but then this place is for "nadan" food. The pleothora of side dish u get with the meals is simply amazing. The taste is just like home made 'kootans'. The chamandhi, the avial n every other side dish is just the same as home made ones. I would recommend their veg meals/fish curry meals along with your choice of meat.. Their main USP is thier pocket friendly pricing.
Happy Eating!!!!Afeed Beeran
We went for the team Lunch there. They do have the Kerala Traditional food. The cost is quite reasonable and the food is spicy and tasty. Go there if you like shapp curries and Kerala traditional food.
Your search for nadan kallu shaap food towards this side of kochi ends here.It is that good...there are many restaurants nowadays catching on a similar theme that is catering shaap foods to families in a better ambience. But many dont understand the tastebuds. You see, shaap foods have a higher quantity of spiciness to them.It works perfect when you have that cold nd bitter toddy along with it,but otherwise you will come to know it was a little too hot to handle(especially next day morning).Thats where kadambra strikes. You are having that exactly toned down degree of spiciness in their food.the meals are huge and awesome. The prawns fry is the one dish you must not miss. You get all the other naadan items too, kakka, kada, muzhal, kozhuva, crab roast, koonthal, thala curry(the fish head was bigger than even my head) and the list goes on.all are deep fried and and is a little greasy but trust me you wouldn't care a bit when you mix that with the warm brown rice, coconut chammanthi, pulissery, thoran and coconut fish gravy.my other favs are crab, kakka and beef fry.the downside is some dishes have quiet similar masalas and some dishes seem to get a little too greasy.all dishes are priced low, ambience is average(but they have cabins)service is good, but still it is better if you order on one go,because it is really crowded during lunch hours...everytime i have lunch from this place,i have wished they had a pick up and drop system becoz every single time i get too stuffed to drive back...
Scanned zomato for good restaurants serving pork. Of the two results, zeroed in Kadambra as it was closer. The dishes were tasty. Service was also prompt. Would definitely be visiting again
Went to this place once from Infopark in the afternoon. It's 20-30 minutes drive from Infopark. You get tasty naadan dishes here! Highly recommended for those who like naadan Kerala style dishes. Ample space for car parking. The rates are also reasonable.

Have been here many times. If you are looking to enjoy traditional Kerala food close to Kakkanad this is the place to go. Everything they serve is tasty. Karimeen fry and roast is a definite try.
For Naadan dishes, this is the best place. You will get Muyal (Rabbit), Kaada, Thaaravu (Duck), Njandu (Crab) etc etc for a comparatively better cost. Around 100 rs for almost all the dishes which helps you try multiple items. My favourite dishes are Crab Roast, Prawns Roast & Muyal fry. Location is perfect for a naadan food joint- near kadambrayaar!
One of my favourite places. The restaurant is famous for its duck roast. The preparation will remind us of the old toddy shop spicy curries..
Good Kerala dishes, they give you adequate side dishes to have with rice.
I didn't like the rice as it ws not hot, however they have good non veg options from BDF to various fishes.
Altogether a decent package for sumone who likes Kerala food
I have had meals only from here and it was good. They had a variety of side dishes and curries and service was too good. Nice friendly staff.
Food at this place is awesome especially famous for their toddy shop dishes. All most all the food tastes really food. We went over here for a team lunch and we almost ordered all the items in the menu. All the food tasted good. The only thing I find bad is that the place is not that clean and also don’t have much of an ambiance. Most of the time this place will be crowded with the IT folks. Recommend this place to everyone..
Good place for kerala food. Loved the duck
And the fish items. The duck curry though stands out of the lot. Though the place is located a little far from my place, nevertheless good place. Recommended for duck curry and the kerala sapad!!
Excellent food I must say. We've discovered this place 7 years ago and we used to go there almost every month at least once. There are so many authentic "shaap" dishes. That you must try. " meen thala" would be a dish you must try if you are going to a place like this. Just great food.
When you are tired with the place you get the fish curry meals, Kadambra comes to the rescue. The place doesn't look all that appealing the food is awesome. Tried the beef pork and fish and all of them tasted like a true kerala toddy shop. Very reasonable pricing. The lunch session makes you feel like you're in some MNC cafeteria, with so many IT guys from info park coming down. Pork fry is exotic, with coconut and chilli absorbed into the meat and you can feel all the flavours with every bite.
Verdict - Not to miss!
If u r a fan of Kerala authenic food like me,thn this place is place for u to try. My bestie took me to this place,by first look, its a below average looking place by simply placed tables nd chairs, nothing as a interior or ambiences but if u a food lover,u CN forget that nd just enjoy the food.
Its always crowded at lunch times, with all type pople as the rates r reasonable.
Food rating:we tried fish curry meals nd veg meals which was accompanied with lots nd lots of curry, chutneys, salad. Other than that we had fried fish nd prawn curry(prawns curry I didnt like much according to other stuffs ordered as they were just awesome)
MUST TRY IF U BORED OF USUAL FOOD ND PLACES.
Delicious food at affordable price
A favourite haunt for all Infopark employees. One of the best places in Kochi for it's price range if you are looking for the local authentic Kerala seafood cuisine. The usual fish curry meals has about 10 side dishes which will by themselves make you half full. Be sure to try the duck roast which is simply exquisite - soft well cooked pieces of duck in a thick coconut milk gravy. Seafood lovers would be in for a treat with delicious karimeen/neimeen pollichathu - well cooked fish covered with kerala spices and wrapped in a banana leaf thus packing in all the flavours. You could also go for some spicy squid roast or mussel meat that go very well with rice. Be sure to get in before 12 30 PM for lunch else the overwhelming crowd from Infopark will mean u have to wait for a very long time to get a seat - a torturous wait especially when the sights and smells around you are THAT good!
went for lunch on a weekday. not much rush. many a times team lunches are held at this place. famous for seafood, rabbit, pork etc.
we had fish curry meals with prawns fry, chicken fry & fish fry.
It was okay - meals comes with loads of vegetarian sides and curries - really tasty.
fish fry was average - i ordered king fish.
chicken fry and prawns fry was good.
overall a good experience.
staff was polite and eager to serve.
place was clean but had this lingering smell of fish and meat which i didnt like.
Visited here two days back. The customer service was great. All sorts of seafood items are available here. We tried squid, pork fry, prawns fry and karimeen fry.. Meals tasted great but the fry items disappointed.
We ordered 2 fish curry meals(100 rs per meal) for lunch .All the side dishes for the meals were so good and had a good quantity.Sidedishes came in seperate bowls and with good quantity .Fish curry was too good .Apart from meals we ordered koonthal roast (Rs.230)which is super tasty and chicken chilli(Rs.150).Both tasted good and came in a good presentation .Both quality and quantity is maintained well.We payed Rs .580 for 2 fish curry meals ,koonthal roast and chicken chilli which i felt is worth for the food. There is ample parking space and huge dining space .Very friendly staffs and altogether a good experience

Great place to visit is the Toddy shop that is adjacent to the restaurant itself and serves some authentic tapped coconut liquor and food. It is worth visiting if you are in the area. They are well known for their duck roast but make sure you get there early enough because the duck will not last all day. They also serve Pork, Beef & Fish dishes, all which can be a lil spicy !
Went there for a team lunch. Delicious Kerala foods served at affordable rates. You can try a variety of delectable Kerala cuisine. The surroundings of the restaurant too look beautiful .
Food quality is good quantity is less. Customer service is very poor and delay in serving. Need much more improvement in customer service. Other than customer service it's good place with good ambiance and sufficient parking available.

Great food and it’s consistent for last 8+ years. I was just revisiting this restaurant after 4 years and the foods tasted the same as before. Good service. Now they have arranged little more parking and that actually helps. They have new grill section and juice Center.
Quality of the food up here is top...highly recommended ones are :-
1) rice curry with meals- at 100 bucks u r getting quality & quantity ...sure u LL be satisfied
2) Kappa beef- beef is superb
3) Appam duck curry- the gravy of the duck curry is so delicious..quantity wise, u may find it little less but quality wise it's absolutely bang on
4) Meen thala is superb
But restaurant needs to improve cleanliness, ambience, also waiters needs to be paying attention to the customer regularly ( not just 1st tym)..parking isn't an issue..
Superb food... you will get seafood also.duck, fish, rabbit etc. tasty food with reasonable rates.
Ample parking lots. Definitely nice place to hangout with friends and family
Found this place for lunch .. Ordered Meals only but when its serving the table was almost full. How many side dishes they are giving that too really spicy and delicious. Typical Shap curry feel. Quantity was too big . Staffs were friendly , place maintained in a decent way .. spacious parking.. home delivery with in 3kms. Beef roast, Kakka fry, Coconut fish curry, avial, thoran etc....were too good .
When I was planning for lunching out today, i was really craving for some naadan meals. I was pretty sure that it is really hard to get some naadan oonu during sunday as most of the restaurants serving naadan items are closed on weekends. After a lot of mind search i zeroed into kadambra restaurant on kizhakkambalam route. I am sure that it is open on Sundays as I used to visit here during my infopark days on weekends. This place is much familiar to infopark techies.
Today we ordered meals with duck curry and crab roast. Both did justice this time. Was really tasty and had good quantity. Ended the lunch happily with ginger lime. Food served here is really economical and ot is value for money. Price for 2 meals plus crab roast and duck curry along with 2 ginger lime costs 500.
Location: on travelling from kakkanad to kizhakkambalam, the place is on the left. Best way to identify this place is, the road on both side is covered with dense trees.
They have lots of parking space too..
Check it out folks.
This is a hardly average restaurant. Rather than the restaurant, the highlight is the Toddy shop by the side. The toddy shop is too shabby and as always it seems adulterated. You can buy toddy if you have bottle with you. Also note that they don't serve toddy in the restaurant. Since the food is brought from the toddy shop, it is quite spicy. Pork fry is good. Prawns not recommended due to the poor flavour and quantity. They have Pearl Spot, King fish, Rabbit fry, duck roast, Quail fry etc. Pricing is moderate for most dishes.
Good food and service. It's good for groups and family. If you going as group I prefer to take normal veg meals and Fish Thala curry( Neymeen). It will be enough for 5-7 members.
BDF, Karimeen, Kada fry was awesome. Veg meals was also very good.
Service was very good and have a great ambiance. You can find variety of kerala dishes of Rabbit, Duck, Chicken, Beef, Fishes etc.
I prefer to book your seats earlier and get down their before 12.30 so that it's good to find seats. Too much rush after 1.00 PM. Sometimes Card swiping machine will not work, so do keep cash ✋.
The quality of the food, service were good when I visited first here. Duck curry was almost given the homely feel. The have arranged tables for group and plenty of seats are available.
Good food and ambience. We have ordered food from this hotels more than 10 times

Good place to try Kerala kallu shaap style food. Ambience is ok, but food was good
Had clams from there unexpectedly and it was out of the box. Portion is also large and food is also tasty. Reasonable rates too
Fish items are the highlight. Crab, prawns, karimeen, neymeen etc are available
